Welcome fitbyforty. Glad to meet you. Glad you too enjoyed your holidays. I have done well so far today. However, I am tempted by the circus animal cookies I purchased for the kids. If they end up being a problem today, I will dump them in my garbage can. I already consumed two.

Breakfast
a blueberrie smoothie DH made 3pts

Work out
30 minutes trainer
20 minutes elliptical

Lunch
Hot Hillshire Farm Pastrami 1pt
light bread and mustard 1pt
1oz kettle bakes pretzels 2pts

2 circus cookies 1pt
1 snack cake 1pt

That's 9/25. I will give myself two exercise points if I need them. Don't know what I'm doing for dinner yet, but I am stocked up and have several options.

Fitbyforty, I LOVE the cycle classes. I have not been able to do any this year with my schedule. I have two kids in school. One is in 1st and one is Pre-K. I am a taxi until the day is done. I drive son across town for preschool and have to come back to hit the gym and pick up tapes I transcribe at home. Then I go back and pick son up. Then, I pick 1st grader up at 2:30. So, I can't squeeze a class in. This summer I hope to. Maybe I will really get into it and do a weekend morning class. I guess I could do that now??? Anyway, hope you are all having a good day. --Amy

HaHa, I keep telling my employer that pretty soon they'll be docking the price of toilet paper from my pay!!! The receptionist that works with me, is always laughing at how often I go
Today was very successful, I'm so proud of myself and can't wait until the official weigh in on Wed. My scale shows a loss, but you know how that goes...I don't want to set myself up. I workout at Curves, and a friend who is the Assistant Mgr. there and myself have a contest to see who can lose the most in the month of Jan. We started out weighing exactly the same. She called me last night, saying how much she consumed from Fri-last night...She had me cracking up, not at her, but with her...I don't know what she was thinking and I honestly do feel bad. She used to be quite heavy and would binge eat, she's falling into patterns like that on occasion and I think it's because she deprieves herself so much otherwise. She tries to do WW with some books given to her, but she's too strict. She needs to learn to have more fun with it, and not be so obsessed. On Friday, she had 4 herhey pie pieces and chinese....I can't even fathom that! Last night, she had a whole hershey bar dipped in peanut butter! I love her to death and am trying my best to offer suggestions, etc. She looks so good after losing 50+lbs. I wish she'd listen and lighten up on the strict way. Gotta love her!
Here's my day so far:
B: oatmeal square (I know it wasn't enough for breakfast, but it was a busy office in pediatrics today!) 3pts and some hot tea w/splenda 0ptss
L: tuna kit 5pts, apple 1pt
S: yogurt 1pt, 2 bite sized dove pieces 2pts (these are to die for and only 1pt each....definitely a nice amount of smoooooooooooth chocolate when you want something very rich!)
D: 4oz pork loin, 1c. potatoes, 1c. carrots 6pts
That's only 18pts so far and I get 28, so I have quite a bit left...it just was an odd day.
I got 4 fruits/veggies in, 1 milk and no oil, however for a snack I will make popcorn w/oil so thats 3 more pts, total of 21/28. Seven pts to use :P

Small onion rings = 8 points

Jenn - I've learned to give into my cravings when they're really bad, but not go overboard. If I don't give in once in a while, it usually results in a purge! Also, if I do give in (with fast food, for instance) and I'm at or above my points for the day, I snack on something 0-point if I get hungry again.

Yeah.. that's kinda why I caved tonight. I knew if I didn't and I'm out and about tomorrow I will get a BIG meal and regret it and give up, and I SO do not wanna do that.. I'm in this for me and for GOOD!! So I'm prtty proud of myself for at least limiting myself to my points and looked it up before I left and vowed to get what I did!! lol I think that's why I don't look at it as a 'strict diet' so much, since I can still eat out, just gotta portion and be wiser about it!! I won't be hungry for the rest of the night, we are in bed by 9-9:30 most nights and I don't eat after 8pm!! lol Plus, I'm way stuffed still!

Hi everyone. Wow! Everyone did great today. Jenn, you so don't even need to call it a "cave" you stayed within points. You are allowed. Good for you. I may have stayed in points but don't know. I left by binder with all my WW stuff in it at my parents' house last night. Then, I proceeded to eat without writing it down which I think resulted in some over eating.

Oh I too love those Dove chocolates. I get the dark chocolate Yummy!!

Here is how I think I ended up after lunch

those damn circus animal cookies 5 points!

left with 11

2 one point cinnamon twists 2pts

left with 9

Dinner
basil chicken 4points
rice a roni whole grain (good stuff) 4points
steamed broccoli with spray butter 0
salad with lt dressing 1

okay, that says that I am right on. However, I have to work still tonight (transcribe) and I love to nibble. So, I am scared. Better go for now. I have about three hours worth of work to get done. Today was the kids' last day off of school. So, I played all day. Now I will "pay"

Until later.........Amy

Howdy!

Well, I'm alittle nervous today...I have a dinner out w/friends planned for this evening and weigh in is first thing tomorrow am. My girlfriend, who is doing ww also, is going, however, I know she'll order steak, potato, and a salad and I'm not sure I want to go that route right before weigh in. She's down 60lbs, so she knows her body and that won't affect her...I'm terrified if I eat anything like that, tonight...I'll not have the loss I'm so hoping for. I know the steak place we're going to, we go there often so I know the menu...I'm thinking of just a grilled chicken salad and barbeque sauce on the side. I know, I know...call me crazy, but I love my chick. salads dipped in bbq sauce...much less pts than dressing and much better than the FF stuff.
Here's how I have my day planned in my head: I'll let ya know how it turns out
B: slim fast/banana/oil 6pts
L: healthy choice ham on ww bread 2pts, apple 1pt, baked chips 2pts
S: 60cal pudding 1pt
The girl at work always has those darn dove choc. so I budgeted for 1-2 of them today, lets say I do eat 2=2pts
That's 14 out of 28. I have 14pts left for dinner...I should be able to do the salad w/that, no problem!
Chicken 3pts, egg 2pts, cheese 2pts, bbq sauce 2pts=9pts roughly.

It just might work!!

Ok, so I don't want to blow your plan, but what I have been doing a lot lately is splitting meals out. If your WW friend would be interested you could split a steak and get your own salad. We even split baked potatoes because they are always huge in restaurants. Just an idea. Your salad does sound good though. You can and will make it work one way or another.

I ended up sending DH out for frozen yogurt last night. That ended up being better than anything I would have eaten at home while transcribing.

Breakfast
oatmeal 3pts

lunch
peanut butter sandwich 3pts
100 calorie cheetos 2pts

I hope to only eat popcorn before my weigh in tonight. I am really hoping to see a two pound loss. I have to get to 20 by mid March. I will post tonight after my meeting. Have a great afternoon. --Amy
