Morning!

Today - 67.8kg, no change (phew...I ate a huge desert last night which was about 8 profiteroles with melted chocolate dipping sauce).

Bit down this morning as heard my study assignment was not good enough to pass. The great news is I have an opportunity to resubmit it, but it's still upsetting. My ego has taken a kick!!!

Ciecie - I'm pleased the surgery went well and hope she gets to come home soon and is not in too much discomfort.

Emily - hope your shift is going ok :-)

Rachel - did you say another 2 pounds down?! Nailing it!

Ok, it's 4.30am I need coffee.

Have a great day everyone!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

April 21

Luke 6:25
'Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.'

As Christians, we need to keep in mind that we live in a world of terrible inequality. While we have the opportunities to overeat and overindulge, many people have no such chances. So many people starve. It is surely humbling to realize that much of our obesity comes from living in a culture where we can have pretty much all we want. The Lord Jesus Christ chastised the people of His day who were filled with the good things of life, because they ignored their brothers and sisters who had nothing. As we diet and feel the hunger in our stomachs, we are more aware of the feelings of our neighbors around the world who do not have enough to eat.

Today's thought: Make me less, Lord: less body, less selfishness, less ego!

Diary for the last two days:

Sunday:
Breakfast: yogurt w/ muesli
Lunch: chips and hummus, tropical smoothie, 100 cal chocolate
Snack: ?
Dinner: protein pancakes and milk
Exercise: a leisurely walk around the park

Monday:
Breakfast: yogurt w/ muesli
Lunch: chips and guacamole, tropical smoothie, 100 cal chocolate
Snack: 2 small protein pancakes, milk
Dinner: cheese and crackers, carrot salad, regular salad, slice of toast
Exercise: 2.5 hours teaching/dancing

Weight has gone up .2 every day for the last few days, so that's terribly frustrating. My weight loss is always non-linear so I'm not worried I'm actually gaining that weight--definitely not eating anywhere near that much--but it's so frustrating to watch all the same.

ciecie, glad to hear about your aunt!!
Jaimsy, hey, 140s is 140s! You made it So sorry to hear about your assignment--I hope you pass with flying colors next time.
pixel, I'm so sorry to hear things are still so difficult. I googled what you said, and yikes. I can't even imagine. And a house fire, how terrifying!
Rachel, thanks! I love cleaning so it's more trying to keep myself away from it lol. Wish I had the same motivation for other things in my life... And happy birthday!
yangtzer, love the meme.
Diana, I feel you on missing the gym. I have a similar space in my house and it's frustrating. I miss being able to do intense workouts.

Hello to all
I did not get a chance to post this morning.
WI up .6 156.6...but after tracking my wight daily (and going over my points everyday ugh) I seem to see this trend of a low weight then three days of gain then slowly back down to another low
WO....ok I did it, a fitness blender 1,000 calories burn workout the one when they celebrated 2 million subscribers. It is like an endurance - a - thon. I did not do the entire thing on the high intensity and had to do some modified versions but I did it! So I am happy about that

Went to the grocery store for my mom's food today. Most shoppers and all the employee's had on face masks, which looks like this will be our new normal. Then I had to go to Costco to pick up my prescription. Well I don't know about how your areas are about social distancing but they actually have duct tape on the concrete to show you where you get to stand in line just to enter the store. Costco's line at noon was 1/2 way down the building, but if you are only there to pick up a prescription you can go right in....Oh man if people could carry poison darts I would be dead now for not standing in a line of 40 people.

We see the same type of lines for the grocery stores by mid morning and later in the afternoons. I am still trying to figure out why after the toilet paper shortage that people don't just buy what they need? For example now there is no flour or yeast....a real head scratchier ... My outlet at having to stay home is bake bread...To buy yeast online at amazon whew....talk about price gouging! What use to cost about $2.00 for a three pack of yeast is now around $20.00? some even higher!

Ok my rant is over.
Back later for more fun in the sun
