Red face

Hello all!

Thank you everyone for the kudos.

I’d like to apologize – maybe not necessary, but I’m feeling a little embarrassed. I apologize for the extra-long personals. I only want you all to know I’m rooting for you and cheering you on. I also apologize for the over-use of the similes/emojies. I just like them … but, too many can be quite annoying. So… that being said, and me feeling better for saying it … I’d like to say: thank you for putting up with the overzealous postings of personals. I won’t do that any longer. BTW – no one has said anything to me… I just was, as I said, feeling ill at ease, so I’m moving on that motivation. I will be brief with personals from this point forward … thank you.

I hope everyone has a great day… Gail

BelovedWarrior Please do as many personals and posts and you like. It's what motivates you and keeps you motivated that's important. I love the support we all give each other. The more support the better. You never know when that one little comment or word can make all the difference for someone else.

Hi all, it's great to read all your posts each morning, glad I found you. I was down .4 to 167 this morning, at least the up cycle has been interrupted for a minute. in spite of a bad week of weigh-ins, I've done good with my food plan and exercise. eventually it HAS to show up on the scale.

Do all of you weigh in daily? I was thinking maybe to go to a weekly, or twice weekly weigh in, the daily ups and downs make me crazy. I fully expect losses every day and get very discouraged when I don't see them... any thoughts on that? it is helpful to see others deal with this too.

I have decided after several months that the 1500 calorie plan is not working, no matter how many hours a week of exercise I am getting, so I've dropped to 1250, yesterday I did 1348 so that was better than the 1500, but not quite there yet. I'm also going to try to focus on increasing my protein intake, most of my diet consists of fruits and vegetables.

today I have a lunch meeting, so it's going to be hard to stay on task (it's a buffet) but I think I'll be ok.

Inkrid, thanks for the willpower dust, I need it

Ditto Gail, type away. I enjoy reading your stuff (everyone's stuff). I havent responded too much because I'm kind of new, so just getting to know everyone.

The weather is supposed to be bad here for the next few weeks too. I live in Far Northern California in the mountains, so during the winter we get outside on snowshoes or skis when the weather is good, otherwise we go south an hour on the weekends and ride our bicycles where it's much warmer. during the week we ride on trainers inside the house, one bedroom is converted to an exercise room with 3 bikes, elliptical machine, weight bench and set of hand weights. mostly we just bike, it's our thing.

Michell - I weight every day but I find that is just a reminder that each day counts and I know there will be some fluctuations. Still annoys me when I see a rise!
Belovedwarrior - I agree with the others, happy posts and lots of emojis is great!
ZCA72 - another horse girl here. I breed sporthorses and my day job is running an equine charity and showing body. My broodmares are away at stud though so i dont get the benefit of mucking them out!
sovenirdarling - this is a very busy thread!

I had a small loss today, yipee and went to the gym this morning and did some weights.
Had a goats cheese and salad roll for breakfast, and a lovely home made salad for lunch with chicken, beetroot, lettuce, pumpkin seeds, coleslaw and tomatoes. Yum.
Meatballs for supper

belovedWarrior just wanted to come in and say do what makes you feel good and what keeps you "in the game" your support and encouragement is much appreciated. I go through spells where I can do the personals and spells where I can't keep up. The great thing about this forum is its very open minded, no one way is right or wrong.

Sun dove I like your beachy/ocean avatar, gives a nice vibe

Michell I weigh everyday, but only allow myself to compare it to the week before, I've cut myself off if I start weighing in multiple times a day. If weighing every day bugs you, try something different, you can always go back to weighing everyday, right

Volatis great job, is beetroot different than a beet? I love beets...

Cool mom I don't think there's anything wriong with following your intuition, maybe after more time has passed, you'll both have a better understanding of your strengths and limitations.

Diana

Best to all

Think I'll go back to Feb and try and get caught up...

Alright, here's my check in!

Morning weigh-in: 145.4, over two poumds different from yesterday

carrot souffle (200)
egg spinach omelette with cottage cheese (200)
tandoori chicken, yogourt, sprouts (300)
cottage cheese, strawberries (120)
little dark chocolates (240)
apple (100)
tandoori chicken, yogourt, broccoli(300)
a lot of cheddar cheese (500?)
a glass of red wine (85)

So over 2000 calories, but probably made my protein and carb goals.I enjoyed an "interval" style workout this morning; My food was tasty and satisfyig.

The wine was worth it, all that cheddar cheese wasn't. I wish I'd checked the nutritional content before eating it - I also ate it for comfort of taste, not hunger. I'd really like to be in the 1600 range. Yesterday I had massive sweet cravings. Today I timed my eating better to avoid it... but that late night cheese snacking is not ok.

Beloved warror: High five for the losses, but harrumph on your self-consciousness!We obviously all really appreciate your enthusiasm Thanks for helping us.

Michell: Wdaily weigh ins make me a little obsessive, but i think that's necessary wghile we're in the "beginning phases" of weightloss, still setting up habits; You mentionned snowshoes which game me a sad twinge. in Montreal I'm used to more snow, it's not been that kind of winter. I miss snowshoeing.

Ciecie: Good for you for finishing the video!!! I have a lot of trouble with after work - I'm tired and want to wind down The gym time before work, and lunchtime power walks, really do improve my mood though. Do they help you with stress?

Volatis: Beet and pumpkin seeds!! Yum

I'm off to bed! Wish i I could respond to more of you - this thread IS busy!!!!

I did okay today.

B: one slice whole wheat toast w/butter, fried egg in coconut oil, coffee w/half & half
L: cottage cheese with lots of tiny tomatoes
D: Pollo Loco chicken, cole slaw, pinto beans (no tortillas!)
D: two squares of dark chocolate

It's almost 10 pm here and I didn't exercise today so I might jump on my tramp for a few minutes or do some yoga before bed.

Even if I don't post a lot or reply to everybody, I love reading everybody's posts. They inspire me and sometimes they even make me laugh and that is really good for me.

BelovedWarrior I like it when somebody is thoughtful enough to include everybody in their personals. I wish I could write personals the way you do. I think it's sweet. I love the emoji's too. All the little emoji's make it fun.

Michell I was weighing daily during the summer and it was kind of fun to give myself permission to weigh every day. When I was in WW they warned us not to weigh ourselves every day, but I think people should do what they feel comfortable with or what inspires them. I'm not weighing myself every day now, but that's just because I'm busy and I keep forgetting.

Diana, kelijpa, coolmom Thanks for the welcome back! Hugs all around.

Kelijpa - I think beet and beetroot is the same thing? Dark red vegetable, often cooked and pickled in vinegar? Love them!

madly busy so a quick hello to everyone else

Gym this morning, both and
Have a pile of melon and pineapple next to em for breakfast but was craving something savoury so had part of my lunch instead (sunbites)
Rest of lunch will be salad, chicken beetroot etc, in fact the same I had yesterday!

Did have wine with supper last night which has no doubt contributed to my 1 pound gain this morning.

That Shrine dinner I attended turned out great for me. When I saw the choices the Prime Rib was it. When the waitress took my order I ordered it with no sides. That is I told her, no salad, no bread, no potato, no vegetable and of course no dessert. She asked you don't want anything except the meat? I said yes and please make sure there is no gravy and it is not dipped in any sauce. I added that I am on Atkins and she responded that she had followed that and she said don't worry I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. When the meals were delivered everyone at my table who ordered Prime Rib got a nice 6 ounce piece but when mine was delivered my cut was twice as large as the others. A nice 12 oz prime rib. It was a wonderful night for me!

I am looking forward to a Charity Motorcycle Ride this Sunday starting in Orlando, FL to benefit the Tampa Shriners Hospital. It is police escorted and the are expecting over 500 motorcycles. The weather forecast is Sunny and around 80 degrees.
