Scotsgal Don't give up!! You and I are in the same boat here! I started at 240 and got down to 237.8 and am now back up to 238.4. This is within the past two weeks! It's also the same 2-3lbs I have been having trouble with for the past month prior to joining up on this forum thread! I keep thinking I will never get out of the 230s... but don't lose hope!

I have the same problem with the fact that sometimes I can't get exercise in but am eating way less than I did before and things don't seem to go down any lower. It's very frustrating! I am going to try to turn it up a bit today by going to do some resistance training with the bands I have at home. This is something my body is not used to doing so I think it will be a good change of pace. What do you think you should change slightly to help on your end? We can work through this strange metabolism plateau together! (all of us!)

MRS CLAYTON.

I got a pair of hand weights just a few days ago, I've been trying to find a 10 min strength training video on you tube to follow. I might get back on the hunt tonight and starting tomorrow get back into doing a little bit of exercise. Hopefully it will help us. I also need to try and find a tiny screwdriver so I can change the dead battery in my digital scales, this will allow me to hopefully track me efficiently.

I did not workout today as I have been feeling rather sick. I did go back over my Fitbit log and damn the frustration with the intensity and miles I'm putting in with each workout to not see the scale moving west. I decided it's time to really focus in on the diet with my log. I've got the fruit bit rolling every day and all the other changes, etc but I need to make sure I am weighing all the food and not guessing at it. I think the times I am guessing are throwing my progress off.

scotsgal - Keep up with what youre doing but have you been tested at the doctor? I have not worked out once since I started and I lose atleast 2lbs a week when I stay in my WW points. Something just doesn't seem right.

BeEffective - I hope you feel better soon!

Scotsgal - You might actually need to eat a couple 100 calories more

I thought I was such a failure this week, and I wanted to step on the scale to take a peak at how I was doing... expecting my weight to be going up... I lost 1.5 pounds!!! I'm so happy!

My lunch with the boss yesterday was off the meal plan quite a bit. There's this new southern style restaurant that just opened up. She wanted to try it super bad. I ordered a Cajun kale shrimp salad... not bad right? Well, she ordered a fried chicken meal (almost half a fried chicken, kale salad, and biscuit) AND a chef burger & fries. She said she wanted to try my salad too so for us to split everything. I ate my half of the salad, half the chicken breast, and the insides of my half of the burger. I did cheat and have a few salted fries. It sure back fired on me. Not having super fried foods for a month now sent my body into "I don't like that" mode. I had awful indigestion all afternoon/evening.

I got home and did some walking to relieve the pain and gas. then I went to pick up my son and we went to zumba. It totally kicked my *** and gave me a good sweat. I LOVED it.

Got on my home scale this morning and saw the number go down. I hope it continues to stay or go down more before my MF weigh and body scan tomorrow morning.

I am back down to an even 237 now! I was 238+ some a day or two ago. I jumped on the scale out of morbid curiosity after taking a pregnancy test this morning. It came up positive! I am pregnant according to the at-home test. I am very excited about this and anxious as well. Concerned about weight loss in terms of being pregnant and have heard lots of controversial information in regards to it. Left a VM for my OB so we can discuss where to go from here and how it will affect my weight loss goals and if I can still work on some weight loss in terms of BEING HEALTHY for the pregnancy.

ladyvwj I get you on that bad bloated gassy feeling after eating a bit poorly. Proud of you for still rocking it out at Zumba and getting in gear! Rock on!

CONGRATS MrsClayton! you can still do it. I did it with my last son by eating healthy and not "eating for two". I am one that is not allowed to do too much physically during pregnancies but it still worked out weight-wise. All this weight I am trying to lose was gained POST pregnancy.

I did 65 minutes at the track today.

MRSCLAYTON - Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just do what the doctor tells you and remember that you are eating for the "health of two" NOT the "quantity of two".

ladyvwj - Is your boss obese?

Aaaaweeeeeeee MrsClayton Congratulations!!!!! I had everything crossed for you, i'm so pleased! Being healthy during pregnancy is most definitely a good goal, and discussing it with the OB sounds like a plan. Woooeeee! Bouncing in my seat for you!

ladyvwj Bless yah - I am really finicky about sharing my food with people even if i'm not dieting Its MINE, people! Get yer own Sounds like you did as well as you could though, and it sounds like your body appreciated the change. Hope the number stays down for you!

BeEffective Well done on the track!

Skullarix Thats brilliant, and I have found that in the past has happened to me too. Strange how these fleshy machines work, isn't it?

Scotsgal hugs! It could also maybe be due to stress and upheaval from all you've had going on lately with little one? Don't give up, keep going with us Do you track your foods? If not maybe try tracking for a week or so. It might help to see everything in black and white?

Have had a good couple of days here, have weighed every other day or so but i've decided it's not reliable to weigh every day any more since I seem to fluctuate fluid weekly as well as daily So looking forward to seeing where I am Tuesday. 5 weeks til we go to Disneyland Paris and hoping to be in the 260s by then (and even pushing towards the 250s, if i'm really good.)

to you all!

Not sure if she is considered overweight or obese, but yes. She complains a lot about her doctors getting on her case about her weight.

Well, I did very well physically yesterday but food wise, not so well. My friends came over for dinner with some ribs and they asked for some drinks. Culturally, as the host, I can't serve and not drink. So, in all, I had one rib & two shots of vodka. I justified it with my 1.5hr workout earlier in the evening.

My MF weigh in and body scan went wonderfully! I lost 13lbs and 6 total inches in one month! Almost 6lbs just this last week & 2 of those inches were from my belly! Looking forward to my next scan in a month! My hard work paid off!

ladyvwj Fantastic on the lbs and inches!!! That is so wonderful! Keep at it!!

BeEffective I hope I can catch up to you in the exercise department if doc won't let me continue to limit my diet intake where I have been. Gotta keep it in shape still and since I've already been exercising it won't be a shock to my body to keep it up. Keep up the awesome track times!

MsTibbles Awesome mini-goals! Keep up the positivity and I am sure you will get where you need to when your trip comes!!

THANK YOU ALL for your congrats and the kind words! Due to my size and potential health risks I haven't discussed the pregnancy outside our parents, my grandma, you guys and one co-worker. Here's hoping for a fantastic healthy first 3 months and getting out of the biggest danger zone! I have been having a bad time putting food in at all today (too nauseated). By the time I left work today I was willing to eat anything my stomach and head thought appetizing. Since I had plenty of daily and weekly points available I let myself go to DQ. This used to be one of my favorite fast food places. While the food is gone and I'm still pleased I had it my tummy isn't so happy. Just another friendly reminder that it wasn't a very good food choice even if I knew how many points I was spending. Next time I get that craving and can't pass it up - I will stick to a small fry and a sundae and nix the burger entirely. Still not good but a lot less tummy upset.

MrsClayton - Congrats!!!! So happy for you! I know this might not help much, but nausea is actually a good sign! It means all your hormones are in high gear. I hope you have a good doctor who doesn't harp on your weight. Your main physical goal now is to be healthy - if you lose weight (i.e. gain less than 25 pounds or so), great, if not, that's ok too.

Welcome Skullarix!

I'm back from vacation and I gained 4 pounds! Yuck!! I suspect it's only a pound or two once I lose some of the sodium, but no question, this is the first actual weight gain (as opposed to normal fluctuation) that I've had since I've started. Right now, I'm back in the 180's. I don't like it one bit, and the up side is, I actually feel like crap. I know I no longer like eating that way - my body is telling me that it prefers to eat healthy foods.

I had too much wine, too many refined carbs, and too little exercise. I'm reasonably sure that if I'd eaten what I wanted, I would've maintained. Some of poor eating was unavoidable. We split the cooking duties and several of the gals made pasta dishes. I don't normally eat pasta, but when it's the main course, it's hard to avoid it. And of course, all that sugar sets off a chain of eating for me.

I haven't had time yet to read through everyone's updates. Probably not until tomorrow. Keep on keeping on - you're all doing great!
