Sammymilner, way to go! Congrats!

Zumbachica, good luck busting that plateau! You can do it!

Chubabub, I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. Meds can be the worst. But the number on the scale is just a number, I hope you can ge your health back soon!

155.0 here for the second day in row. Probably still some TOM water weight there, but I can't really expect any serious losses before I get back on track with exercise. I've been really lazy. Also sugar-binged the other day, for the first time since I started this journey. Luckily it looks like the damage hasn't been too bad though.

Lost it last n ight and had some tortillas with melted taco cheese on top...i hate when i sabotage myself like that. Even with that i lost .6 of a lb. imagine if i didn't have it? I went to the gym today and lifted weights and had a pretty good day of eating. Hope to really put in a good weekend. went to the store today and bought healthy food....but we all know what i really want is gelato!

Oh gelato, gelato... why has there to be something so good??!!!

Dropped to 153.8 today. Yay! Tomorrow will be tough though, I will meet some lovely ladies and we will have a bit of a potluck, and there tends to be quite a bit of sweet stuff. It will be difficult socially too to restrain myself, I know they love me as I am but it's not like I was doing anything bad to myself. Just trying to get healthy yet I know some food will be probably pushed on me.

I am ALMOST THERE but at a standstill...Ive hit some kind of plateau for lack of a better word.....Really determined to put in a good day so I can see 149 within the next few days!!!!

Pigeon good luck being determined at pot luck. It isn't easy to resist food when it is pushed on you. I know personally i have no self control. Try your best. Drink a ton of water before you go.

You are soooooo close Zumbachica!!! That's great.

Pigeon - How did the potluck go? I hope you didn't get too much pressure from your friends.

Now that I'm tapering off of the steroid, my weight is moving back down but wow- wiping out a month of work in less than a week was so hard to watch! Now it's dropping back off again almost as fast as it went on. I'm at 157.1 today which isn't great, but I actually was north of 160 a couple of days ago so I'll take it.

I'm still struggling with that other bad news I mentioned previously. I think the term is "anticipatory grief" but between that and the medicine debacle I think I'm just going to have to be happy to maintain and consider any loss during this time as a bonus.

OMG this scale is not MOVING!!! This is like some kind of cruel joke to be so close to 149 but not get there...I am NOT eating today...celery, salad and maybe a hard boiled egg for protein. I see the diet doctor today.

I was doing great with weight until my friend came into town this weekend.

I had two meals off plan, but they were both really close to what I'd normally eat. I did treat myself to frozen cherries and whipped cream for desert one night and I had a lot of diet sodas, and overall I gained a little over a pound. I went from 155.6 to 157.

I lose about .2 lbs a day right now when I'm on plan, so this'll take me about a week or so to recover from. *sigh*.

Welcome Lisse24 and GodlywoodGirl.

Lisse24 it's probably mostly water weight. It may come off more quickly for you. Sounds like you did a good job of not going completely off plan. I think you have to be able to accommodate visits like that or you won't be able to do this long term, so don't beat yourself up over it. Jump back on plan and keep going.

GodlywoodGirl I try to run every other day and walk on the off day, but lately I've been lucky just to get the running in. I need to start walking again.

Chubabub - I was skeptical of it being water weight with there being so much time between the weekend and now, but sure enough, I weighed in at 155.8 this morning. So maybe!

Awesome! I was 155.6 today so a small bounce but we're back on our way!

i have been between 153 and 159 all of August. I have considered it a month of practice maintenance. (Which I failed)
I am in a good place now and feel like the routine is there with school and work starting back.
On a good note, I ran my first 10k last weekend.
