I'm joining this thread at 216.4 as of this morning. My birthday is in mid-September and I'll be seeing lots of family. I'm hoping to hit Onderland by then. I haven't been Onderland for over 3 years.
So nickel sorry times have been difficult, but I guess a side benefit is a weight loss! (Trying to find the positive in there somewhere)
leopardspots welcome and good luck!
For me, scale is marching downwards quickly... Just means I'll get there Sooners than later, hopefully. I hope to g t there by year's end and then STAY THERE!
Just back from a week long vacation. The first few days went great, but it got harder and harder to stick to plan as the week went on. I didn't step on the scale yet, but I'm back on plan. We'll see what the damage is tomorrow.
Some of it will be water weight as I try to detox the body of carbs again. WHY is it so hard to eat low carb while vacationing? SERIOUSLY, the world is addicted to eating too many carbs!
Berry, welcome back! That's what counts, getting back up on the horse. After reading a few other people's blogs who have lost lots of weight, I have seen them have ups and downs on their weight, but they continue on to lose. Good luck on your weigh-in!
Hello! I am pleased to report that after many many weekends of binge eating and gaining back the few pounds I managed to lose over the week, I had a good, healthy weekend! I ate many salads and did not over eat any junk food! The last weekend, I spent all day friday eating nothing but junk food, all day, junk food- I literally ate NOTHING healthy... But not this weekend! This is a HUGE step for me! I feel like I have some control over my eating and I am well on the way to a healthier me I will weigh myself tomorrow and see where I am at!
Thank you katiam247 It feels good to be on a roll! Consistency has always been my greatest struggle! All I can do is work my hardest on the good days and embrace the bad ones for what they are and move on!
Nicolas You wrote some real wisdom. I struggle with consistency, too. Yesterday was not a success, but today is doing well and I need to move on and finish THIS day doing what I know builds health.
Seems as if I'm never going to get below 220 this year. I know I can do better.

yay!
Getting back on track is the hardest part. I'm on DAY 2 post vacation and it's going way easier than day 1 FOR SURE!
I never knew how to categorize this feeling until I saw this! I remember the first time I admitted to my partner I was over 200. I was too embarrassed to tell him my weight. When I casually mentioned it, without thinking he responded "you're over 200?!" Not that he had a problem with it, (we had been dating for years at this point) but he just didn't know where I was. By the way he is very supportive, non judgmental, helpful, etc. He has gotten better about thinking before talking about weight issues (he's a skinny boy, it's not something on his person radar!!)
