Everything he buys me will be exactly what I've always wanted. Like it is every year.
I've got the same problem with him - we tend to get stuff as we're going along - so when it comes to birthdays and Christmas its a bit of a nightmare getting each other presents. I've got the same problem - probably worse because its his birthday on the 14th as well.
I have a nice dilemma with DH - he never WANTS anything. So I tend not to buy him anything and he doesn't really mind! More cash to spend on me! I used to buy him stuff that I thought he'd like but he didn't really and was worried that I'd wasted my money, so I've stopped buying him stuff unless he needs it, like a wallet or a keyring bottle opener (you'd be surprised how often he needs one of those! ).
I used to hate tha gap between December payday (usually a week or even two early) and the end of January payday - I never really understood why they thought they were doing us a favour by paying us early like that.
Up until a couple of years ago, my husband would buy me a big box of Godiva Chocolates. He even suggested it last year until I pointed out that I would very much like the 30 or so lbs I had already lost to stay gone .
DH bought me loads of chocolates last Christmas and I was still eating them a month later. I allowed myself just one a day and it was complete purgatory. I'd prefer not to have any rather than have one a day.
As of this morning I'm 12 stone 7lbs So you are skinnier than me! It's the scales that matter
DH buys me presents - he bought me Jamie Cullum tickets last year and this year he's bought me a little black dress that we found on Saturday and I will be wearing it for most of our Christmas do's, so it's an early Chrimbo pressie!
Ah - but height DOES matter. You are a size 12 and I am just about able to pour myself in to a pair of size 14 jeans - I might even be able to sit down in 'em by Christmas.
