Happy belated birthday Vivienne, hope you had a good one.

I managed to stay the same again this week. I haven't been working on it with everything else that is going on in my life, but from now on I am going to be making time for me so next week I hope to see a drop, else I'll still be this heavy at Christmas and a stone lighter would be a lovely Christmas present

Happy even more belated birthday Viv Hope you had a great time

had computer problems amongst other things as you will have seen from the other thread But thankfully things now seem to be sorted and this weeks weigh in was a good one with another 4lbs gone
only 2 stone 4lbs to go now to reach that final goal...I still have to keep pinching myself to make sure this isn't all a dream...it seems hard to believe that I have lost 12 stone...when I started I knew it was going to take a while...but 18 months down the line the time just seems to have flown by and now the end is well and truly in sight

Carol you are so right a stone gone by christmas would be a great present and will also give you more incentive to keep going...hang in there I know you can do it.

Hiya All

I'm a newbie & I would love to join this thread, please! I've finally got myself motivated again (I think) now that my son's 5 months old. I tried rejoining WW a few weeks ago but it really didn't turn out to be a good night for me, so I'm going to restart a different one on Wednesday morning. My aim is to weigh in at less than I weighed at my last weigh-in, which was 3/4 weeks ago. Not that I'll weigh in at much less, because I've had a couple of really bad weeks around my daughter's birthday.

Can i just say how nice it is to talk to people who have a lot of weight to lose?! I'm sick of seeing slimming mags where the most people have lost is about 2 stone. Not to knock their achievement; I just find it very hard to relate to them, that's all! At my heaviest, I was over 18 stone, & I'm sure they probably couldn't relate to that very well, either! At my last weigh-in I was 16st 8, & I'd ultimately like to be about 10st 7 - just to give me a little bit of leeway to stay within the healthy weight range, as I'm 5' 6".

I'm sure someone mentioned Atkins? Sorry - I've just read through really quickly; & I don't even know if that's been replied to in another thread or whatever, but I have to say that 2 friends of my husbands have read that it is extremely dangerous & have immediately stopped it - i don't know the details myself.

Let you all know how i get on on Wednesday.

Welcome Shell
This is a great place to come for help and support and just a general chat.
My starting weight 18 months ago was 25 stone 4lbs, but with all the support I have got from the great group of girls who post on this thread I am now down to 13 stone 4lbs.

Veggie cheer up, you've done it before you can do it again

Hiya Ali

One of the very first things I did after looking at the forum was to check out your website; & I can only say that it's inspirational! I mailed the url to a friend straight away because she has a lot of weight to lose, like me, & she finds it very disheartening at times. I told her to imagine how you must have felt at the start, with such a long way to go ahead of you, & how you must feel now, when you're getting so close to your goal.

Congratulations on your amazing acheivement so far, & thanks for being such an inspiration - it certainly helped me to get focussed!

Thanks Shell

I'm glad you found my website an inspiration, If I can help just one person reach their goals by putting it online for everyone to see then it has all been worthwhile.

It was difficult at the start to come to terms with knowing how long it was going to take to reach my final goal...all I could think was that I wouldn't feel any different before I did...that isn't the case...the more weight I lose the more things I discover I can do...they may only be tiny little things and things that people who have never had a weight problem take for granted...you know the sort of things...running up the stairs 2 at a time...instead of dragging yourself up each one and stopping for breath on the third...but those things are big achievements when you have never been able to do it before.
If I could bottle up and sell the feelings I have now, I would be a millionaire...mind you after saying that, if it were possible to bottle up how I felt I would give it away free...everyone deserves to feel like this

OK it's the better late than never weekly weight losses - yet again I found myself still seeing 16 5 on the scale last Thursday. It isn't taking much effort to maintain my weight there, it will only take a little bit of effort to see it go down the way. Have been trying this week (not always an angel though) - so fingers crossed for Thursday.

BPB - 2
Mini Gem -4
Posy -4
Me - 0

Giving us a weekly weight loss for w/e Mon 26/7 of 10lbs and a group weight loss of 29lbs - 2 stone 1lbs.

Some people out there are losing continously - well done. This week I am going to join the losers - just wait and see

Hi Ali

I'm the friend Shell mentioned, I spent well over an hour reading your diary journal last night and to say i was impressed was an understatement! I am honestly amazed by your willpower and thrilled by your well-deserved success.

I recently rejoined Weight-Watchers again and in the first two weeks lost 5lb. Unfortunately I can't get to the meeting this week due to work commitments tomorrow (usual weigh-day) and then going away for a few days. and because I'm not being weighed I am not managing to be as good as usual, I've not gained but not lost either. I shall be relieved to go back next week!

I would like to post my weekly loss to the group, is this the thread where I do this? I've looked in so many places on this website that I'm getting confused!
