You have an almost empty wardrobe just waiting for you to keep on losing then you can go on an enormous shopping trip with Kevins overtime in a couple of months and fill it again - with beautiful clothes that will fit you forever.

I too have very few clothes that fit me. My work ones are passable but only have 2 shirts I like to wear, need to go for a rake around the charity shops to find a third one so I can alternate them throughout the week. But I am determined not to buy any more clothes at size 20. A friend gave me some of her large clothes, all a size 18 - she is taller than me and although we started out thsi journey weighing the same was always a couple of sizing smaller - as the weight had further to distribute - totally unfair. I mean I'm 5' 4.5" - not exactly a midget, but reckon she must be about 5' 9" or 10". Definately a case of me not over weight but under tall

going to have a lazy day, but will fit in a walk this afternoon. Gotta get this exercise back into my daily routine. I will need to spend some time planning my workouts for the week, as if I don't plan I'll just stay in bed if I have to make a decision at that time of the morning about what I am going to do

I think the biggest problem I have had with dieting has got to the be knicker problem... Its just really uncomfortable to wear knickers that are too big they.... ride up! AND if they are too big they make whatever you wear on top look a bit peculiar... I am getting the cheapest ones I can find in my size until I get to goal and then I am going to splash out on some decent ones.

On the knicker front I would just like to say that that is one good thing about living in America, the sizes of knickers.
They are totally different from the clothing sizes so I can say that I am presently wearing a size 8 pair of knicker's...just thought you'd like to know that....but they are getting increasingly baggy on me so hopefully soon I'll be in a size six, which sounds great, but isn't really cos all the skinny's wear a size two in clothes so their knicker sizes must be minus something?

I had a blitz yesterday and threw away all my too large knickers... then had to go and rescue some because I was only left with three pairs that fitted!

About clothes sizes..... I hope someone out there will be able to answer a question that is REALLY puzzling me... have the standard clothes sizes changed over the last few years??? I have got size 16s from years ago and new size 16s and the new ones are much larger than the old ones around the waist and a bit larger in the bust and hips - even stuff like Top Shop and Next, although M&S is as generous in their sizes as ever.

ROFL Sarah, at the thought of a blitz on knicker's. ANd having to rescue them again....having a good chuckle at that thought. I didn't know Top Shop went up to 16, I'm impressed, need to come home and catch up on stuff....

I think Top Shop size 16s are a rare and unusual thing.... which is sad for all those people who aren't stick insects but like to wear reasonably priced but up to date stuff. What is really silly is that I read somewhere that something like 60% of the female population of the UK are a size 16 or above - which, to me, means that Top Shop and other shops like that are really restricting their own market. Or do skinny little girls buy more clothes than larger ones??

I about 30 mins away from a designer retail outlet where you can buy cheap designer clothes - end of ranges/slight seconds/production over runs - but it is generally a bit of a waste of time going there because the sizing on the expensive ranges is daft.... I bought my daughter a Red or Dead dress in their XL maximum size which turned out to be a 12! The other problem, of course, is the sales staff - where do they find all these supercilious, over-made-up, size 8, 20 something blondes? I find them SO intimidating, which is silly because my money is as good as anyone elses!

Rant over....

sarah top shop is thing of the past for exact reason you just stated ...........but new look, while being very reasonabley priced and very up to date include a size 18 in there normal range, then they have plus sizes that go way up to a 26 i think it is, and there stuff is very generously sized too, i think they may be one of the few shops which is taking note of the REAL british woman hopefully the old (used to be ) faithfuls will follow suit

Just wanted to say that I love my rebounder, haven't found any tapes to watch about it yet but really do enjoy lunging myself about on it, am trying for an hour a day. Hannah secretly watched me wobble about on it the other night and said I am crazy, but I think she already knew that.
Also just noted that I've written 99 posts here so am wondering what's going to happen when I post this 100th one. Do bells and whistles go off, fanfare maybe? Let's see...here goes........

Chris.... LOL - well done for being a senior member... although you can call yourself whatever you want - just click on 'profile' at the top of the page and then click on 'edit profile' and then there's a box called 'user text' where you can put in whatever you want to be called.

I love my rebounder as well. I don't use it every day, but if I don't get the time for a long walk then I will bounce/jog for 20, 30 or 40 mins depending on how short (or non-existent) my walk was. I CANNOT do more than 40 mins... my legs turn to jelly.

Yippeeee!!!! I just sold both my Richard Simmons vidoe AND my Callanetics video - one on Yahoo and one on eBay! Now I can go shopping for a new one for me.

Phew! Just had a look at the link for trampolines. Rather scary I thought BPB, you must be brill doing the urban rebounder one, the man was bouncing on his bum and doing push ups...I don't think I am ready for that one just yet. I think for now I'll just stick to having my jiggly bits wobble and my wobbly bits jiggle as I thrust myself about on it...
Thanks again for the link though, I'll keep it in favs for another look, they seem to have some good vids there and I like the fact that they say their staff have tried them.

I think I am a right clever person now, just realised you can edit your post after it shows up, so I have corrected my spelling mistakes, I hope.

So much for exercise being good for us! It certainly wasn't for my dog yesterday - I nearly squashed him to death .... I decided to do something more than just jog on my rebounder so I had the instruction sheet that came with it spread out and was trying to copy them - lost my balance and landed on the dog! He was not amused - he doesn't trust the rebounder anyway and this has just reinforced his opinion that it is an alien thing trying to kill us all (and he's probably right!)

What a day for exercise yesterday turned out to be - me and Pat, my walking partner, got completely and totally lost on the Moors and we ended up having a 2hr 45min brisk walk! Which, according to Real Slimmers calorie burner calculator, burned off 879 cals and I had already done 20 mins of yoga (127 cals) AND 20 mins jogging on the rebounder (280 cals) - so I managed to burn off.... 1286 cals - and I only ate 1648 cals!

I was feeling so proud of myself.... and then, guess what, when I got on the scales this morning I HAD GAINED 2LBS! WAAAHHHHH!!!!
