Hi Cat!!!!

I was just saying York is a lovely place. We're still in the smoke, in a shoe-box trying to save up enough money to buy eventually.

I've been out for a marathon training run today. From Finchley Road, down to St John's Wood, then along the Regent's Canal to Limehouse basin. I think it was about 10 miles. We were going to make it to Canary Wharf, but I ran out of mini cookies and water, so I conked out and we got the tube back home! Next time I must take more supplies!

We are debating whether to watch a DVD or go for a walk! I think we must be mad!

I haven't been for a run today. I was down in London for a rugby match yesterday which ended up being a long day (with a long walk in the middle of it), and was really tired this morning. I was meant to be doing a long run, but felt like I'd barely be able to stay awake let alone keep running so I took a bit of a duvet day. I cycled to the shop to buy a newspaper and supplies, and since then have been lying in front of the tv switching between reading the paper, reading books, eating and watching some of the backlog from my sky+. If I'd gone out to run I'd probably have survived, but I just felt like a rest day would be more beneficial in the long run than forcing myself out there when I didn't feel like it.

Yeah 4! Wow! Big girl school soon!

Still running miles, almost a black belt, still lifting lots of heavy weights.

This morning I am feeling a little less chubby, which is cool! My hib bones seemed a little bit more prominent lying in bed last night, and my jeans feel really loose, but they are loose anyway since they're wide-legged baggy fit jobbies. I'll have to compare with my usual combats when I iron them tonight.

I am scheduled in the gym today. I woke up feeling terrible, sore throat, tired etc etc, but I dosed up with vit C, echinaeca, glucosamine, cod liver oil and other such items and I made it to work and I don't feel too rotten. I've bought Red Bull and Pepsi to get me through today! Heh!

I am also back at kickboxing tonight for the first time in 3 weeks and I'm scared and don't want to go and don't want to get hurt and I'm feeling like a big baby! I have my uniform but not my boxing gloves or shin-pads, so I will be able to do everything but spar, so that will delay being re-injured for at least 2 days!

My dodgy running knee is happy again after being iced to death yesterday. I've still got an ice pack on it because I'm doing a tempo run tomorrow and don't want to make it worse.

Good luck with your new job Sarah Grace.

Good Morning Ladies (afternoon for you guys )
No Chris I did'nt treadmill I shampoo-ed? the carpet instead and did'nt get around to it. (It had nothing to do with the fact that I was online half the day did it ) I WILL do it today, i've got to I'm still not sure what to try calorie counting, weightwatchers, slimmng world or try a high protein thing I need to keep it simple so I think calorie counting might be the way to go that way nothing is off limits as long as I count it

Frus, hope you don't get battered up too much today you'll be alright just beat the living **** out of them before they get you

Nothing is happening when I press the manage attachments button don't know why. I'll persevere i've probably got too much stuff on this laptop blocking stuff

I'm depressed. It's getting far too gloomy in the evenings at the moment, and it keeps reminding me that winter's on the way. I wish we'd at least had some summer to enjoy before it starts getting cooler and darker again. Last night it was getting a bit too dark to run off road by the end of our club run, and I ordered some lights for my bike today because I suspect it won't be long before I have to use them

One for Jen - I was talking to someone at running club who wants to climb but doesn't have a partner - he has done a course at the wall but nothing outside - will have to see whether we can organise a time to go out and have some fun!

It was really windy today on my cycle home, I swear I'm getting slower on the bike not faster But the cycling seems to have done something to my metabolism. I swear that I spend my life eating, but I'm actually losing weight at the moment. I have no idea how, and I don't even really want to, but this morning the scales said 147 which is yet another new low. I had some cheesecake at lunchtime in an attempt to fatten me up a bit (actually, decadent as it was, it meant I wasn't hungry for my normal afternoon snacks, so the calorie impact might not have been too huge).

Tonight I'm panic cleaning because mum is arriving on Thursday and I'm out at running club tomorrow. I'd better head off and do some more of it!

Wahey! Any time! I'm going to book me and DH on a climbing wall in Amersham if there's places this weekend.

Hello All,

I've missed quite a bit.

Just wanna say hi to Cat...

veggie-chocolate will not cure that cold despite some rather obscure reports that it does.

sarahgrace i hope all is well on first day of work and it is easy for you to get back on track.

michele-hope you've gotton over that hangover and your dad is well.

YP1-i'm glad that excercising speeding up the motabilism thing actually works for somebody cos i use to excercise like mad but eat watever my weight always stayed EXACTLY the same. Only when i changed my eating did the weight start to drop off. It's funny your trying to fatten yourself up again, it must feel good to be flexible at goal. Congrats at your new low.

2fus-i had that only in January i could feel my ribs and my hip bones when i layed down.sigh. I'll be back there again soon.

I bursting full of yummy goodness today. I came home and my mom had made brown rice, just experimenting i normally only have 200g of rice sometimes 150 but today i had 300g.It was soooooo yummy reminded me of uni days in halls. Anyways i was still within my points.

Hello everyone

Oh dear god what a grey old day. Got drenched after word. Mandy and I are not cycling this evening we are just going to take Ken for a quickie. I gymmed last night though and cycled the night before that though. Eating is going quite well but I'm due a period any day so I have the urge to eat and I keep feeling teary.

Hope the job went well Sarahgrace.

Frus read your blog about the comments at the gym. Bolloxs to them you are gorgeous.

Helen I feel the same its just so gloomy. Someone is smiling down on you losing weight at the drop of a hat. Mind you you are always doing something so its no wonder really.

SWC those hip bones are just waiting to appear once I can practically feel them myself!! my father is in great form too.

All quiet here at the moment my two boys are out. Hubby just made me a cup of tea. He isn't feeling that good so I'm going to make him go to GP I think he is getting migraines.

Take good care

Michele

I'm so proud of myself this evening. I skipped my long run on Sunday because I was tired and it was gloomy out, but this evening there was beautiful sunshine and I was feeling good, so I left work nice and early and instead of waiting until 7pm for running club, I just ran... and ran... and ran...

I ended up doing almost 17 miles which is shocking for a work night! I'm guessing it's just about the last time this year I'll be able to do that without having to finish in the dark, so I thought I'd better make the most of it. I'm not even too sore now, although I suppose I might feel it in the morning (which may well be another day off to recover).

Mum's arriving tomorrow, then I'm off to Italy via a match at Wembley on Saturday, so I might not be around for a week or so. I guess that run tonight has earned me lots of pizza and ice cream...
