I'm glad Kylie's well and you had a nice pizza! September 2008 is a popular time for weddings, that's when my sister's planning hers too Tell her she needs to get back here!

Sarah - I'm very jealous of the organic veggie restaurant. I hope your fingers get better.

I did 7 miles at running club tonight, quite fast considering I've now done 32 miles in 3 days I think I'm going to enter a 14 mile hilly run up in the Dales on Saturday, and the next weekend will be even more fun. Well, it depends on your definition of fun I suppose. Saturday will be a 20 mile hilly "race" (I won't be racing it!) in Wales, then I'll stay over and go white water rafting on the Sunday. It's something I've been meaning to do for a while, so I think I'll finally get round to having my activity weekend in Wales without missing out on marathon training. The hotel and race entries are booked, I just need to phone the rafting people tomorrow once I've decided what time I want to do it, they have 3 time slots available. As I said, it depends on your idea of fun...

Cor, things happen fast around here... a couple of days off the boards and it's all gone on.

Helen/ frus- some people are just mean and can't help it. Poor them ;-)

Doughnut- fab for the swimming- it (and the new Bravissimo catalogue with a push up chocolate brown tankini) has made me want to swim soon.

Redsox, hope you're feeling better now - it's awful when illness affects your ability to do stuff. I am great at not giving in to it, which obviously makes me far worse for longer!

Chris- your news is so sad... hope you're feeling better about it. This kind of news takes a while to get used to and 'rationalise', and then it is still so unfair.

Hi Sarah- don;'t know whether you remember but you gave me some BFL inspiration last year, but I never quite got my head around the regime- although it makes a lot of sense. I am now being good and posting regularly so that I can stay on focus for my wedding. I'm trying to drop some fat fast but then might spend more time focussing on weights. Sounds like you had a fab holiday.

Helen- 34 miles??? Isn't that a marathon and a half almost....

I had a fairly saintly weekend- I went to the docs for my recurring migraines on Friday and they gave me some tablets that knocked me out on Friday night. Saturday I did 10k on the cross trainer and then a Body Balance class, which was wonderful and walked out of the gymn to brilliant sunshine.. so I drove into Leamington and walked round the shops for a bit, before going to Marks to buy Saturday night food!

On Sunday I planned to run, but the weather was so awful I did Nell MacAndrews Boot Camp workout and tured myself into a sweaty mess within 20 mins!

I went to take the additional bridesmaid dress back(long story- I haven't lost a bridesmaid but got the bargain of the year- Fenn Wright Manson dresses reduced from £160 to £40, so I bought an extra one for them to try different sizes) The lady in Rackhams had been so lovely, and had rung round loads of stores to get all 5 so I took her in a bunch of flowers and she cried! Yes, I have reduced someone to tears over the wedding!! Very saintly food all day, until I decided that after 10 days on the wagon I fancied a glass of wine and ended up drinking most of a bottle of Prosecco. So yesterday was 1800 cals.

I've dropped my reoccuring pound, and am determined to have it joined by another one by the end of the week. Exercise is key this week as the eating's not been bad, but just a bit much I think.

Anyway, I think I've rambled more than enough! have a great evening/ day!!

Claire, I'm just going to copy Frus's childhood memories post... I was born in Leamington and lived in Hampton Magna when I was little. I used to really like going shopping in Leamington.

Oh wow! Such a small world. I actually live on the road between Warwick and Leamington so about 15 mins from Hampton Magna. Very pretty!! It's lovely round here- I've only lived here for 2 years after I met a posh man and moved here from Leicestershire for love. My common- ness has rubbed off on him though and he will now go shopping in Lidl (not that there's one in Leamington! We have to travel, which you can imagine makes for a fun day out)

I'm now very pleased. To make up for the fact that I am spending double my original budget on my wedding dress I have bought my (hopefully) wedding shoes from ebay for £7.50. Oh, it seems more affordable already...

I've updated my sig and profile After months of bouncing around from 152-154 a bit of lent related restraint and a big week of running has meant that the scales this morning said 149.75! It's ages since there's been a 4 as the middle number of my weight.

Anyway, this means that the weekend in Wales can act both as a celebration of a year of maintenance, and for losing 110lb. I remember when rewards used to be ipods or going to spas, not running 20 miles, but never mind!

OMgoodness Helen! You skinny minny you That's fantastic

I had my littlies class last night which was fabby. I swear it's more tiring teaching the little blighters than actually doing it myself!

Eating is still good, the scales are STILL holding steady. I'm not sure what to do to make them drop... I'm going to be ONE HUNGRY CHICK if I eat less.

It's leg day today Oh it's leg day And then I'm going back to kickboxing. I don't have a private lesson today, but I may watch the who STOLE my slot!!! Next week it will be mine!

How am I supposed to pry myself off the couch this morning when the wind chill is 10 below 0!!!!! I have a bunch of appointments downtown this afternoon too which means I have to be out in this UGH. Where is Spring???

Anyway the scale almost got punched in the face today, nice and low yesterday, ate really well. Took 2 hours of sweaty classes and it's up 2 lbs today???? No extra salty meals, nothing I can point my finger at.

Chris stay warm, no long doggy walks today.

I don't have a video... so have no idea what I'm missing out on!

Trying to eat more (good) stuff this week to give me energy to exercise and have come in at around 1500 cals both days- I was getting tetchy and tired on 1200 as soon as I did anything more than get off my chair!

Back at 164 and would love to see 163 within the next week. Exercise was great- 20 mins of a Nell MacAndrew DVD before work, and a run (with a bit of a walk in the middle) with DF. I'm dreadful at running as I usually get exercise induced asthma, try and run through it and just generally hate it, but as it's got milder today was much easier. Came back and plotted the route on Gmaps and it's actually 5k, so v pleased with myself.

Have a lovely evening.

White water rafting is booked I'm really looking forward to it, I just hope it doesn't require too much leg work the day after the 20 miler! I've been busy booking hotels recently, I'm also taking mum away for an exciting weekend in... Huddersfield. It's only 20 minutes away on the train, but I've been invited to a charity casino night, and then we're playing there in the rugby the next day so I thought we may as well stay in the hotel where the charity do is rather than coming home and then going back the next day.

Then of course I realised I didn't have anything to wear for this thing if it's not a jeans type do, so was trying on dresses in Zara at lunch time. I tried 4 on, decided which one I liked then looked at the labels - it was £12 full price! The others were about £40!!! I decided it definitely had to be bought, as I can wear it for work even if it's too formal for the casino night. It's pretty tight and figure hugging though, so I need to make sure I don't gain any weight before I want to wear it...

And I've set Shaun the Sheep to record tomorrow, I've heard lots of good things about it so have decided to take the plunge into childrens tv

RSG - that sounds horribly cold, keep yourself warm

Hello everyone.

RSG, hope you've not got too cold running errands today, it is horrible out there, the wind here is just plain nasty! Howling around the house, no walkies for the dogs, they run out and piddle and then come running back in and look at me like I'm such a meanie for making them go out for a minute or two. I just went to the supermarket to buy a lotery ticket...felt I should have a few dollars worth in the hope of winning mega bucks, think it's 560 million dollars....what would someone do with that sort of money?

I have a job I am going to be a circuit trainer at curves, watching the women work out and use the machines properly and interact and train newbies... I'm really chuffed. It's just part time, so will suit me down to the ground right now with Hannah and her partial school day.

Sarah, hope your fingers are feeling better... Hannah did ok in AZ, but not great, saw the doc yesterday, she now thinks meds might be needed She did have a better day yesterday though, went to school and dropped some friends off at their houses and caught up for a bit and went independently and saw her friend across the way for a bit too...we will get over this, I feel sure. It's just so hard seeing her break down over the smallest things.

Helen, well done on the 140's and 110 lb loss! How fantastic are you? Did you post pics of the new bargain dress for us?

Jen, glad you're doing good with your little'uns... aren't kiddies fun? I love em.

UGH! Weather forcast on, more cold tonight...I hate it!!!! Hope this bloody wind dies down though, it just makes it worse!

Have a good one all.

Chris congrats on the job good for you. I just came home from the gym and my neighbor was carrying is dog outside to pee. She is tiny and looked so sad.

I'm wearing gloves...in my house. I have flannel pants on, warm socks, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt and gloves!!!! The wind goes right through here, can't call the landlord because that would be me and I'm well aware of the problem

Next year I need to get my radiators looked at before winter to make sure they are OK, I know the whole building needs new windows too.

Anyway, went to a sort of lame spin class tonight, Tuesdays I usually run but not in this crazy weather. Out of curiousity I weighed myself this afternoon and I was less than this morning...ODD.

Sarah, I hope your hands are better.

Helen, I looked at your pic in the dress, you look fab.

OMFG!!!! I've just spent 40 minutes searching for a file on my computer which I thought I'd lost. Turns out it's the one I first opened, but I was just looking at it with the visibility turned off on different things!

Back soon to read and post more!
