Hey Serena.. keep your chin up! We all have set backs and I have been on the recieving end of insults and they sure do hurt.. but remember they are not worth getting upset.. you just make your resolve to brush yourself off and dig your feet in and try again.. we all have ups and downs but we will find that down escalator and keep on downward... we just have to stay focused on our plan.. do we have one? then focus and really visualize ourselves thin, healthy, active.. see yourself in a scene as a thin person.. what are you doing? try and tap into how you are feeling as that thinner you?? then hang onto that in your minds if if you will .. and keep that mental image with sights, sounds, smells.. as real as you can and remember it when you want that sweet or you want to skip exercise or you want to eat and you are just bored, or emotionally eating.. now I plan on taking this advice.. i will let you know how i do.. feel better.. bye all..Kim

Hello To All,
Still fighting the weight here, laugh. Forgot to weigh in yesterday as always. I now weigh in at 213 lbs. Still having the sweet tooth really bad here. I had lost 2 lbs. and gave in to eat 2 biscuits with butter & jelly. That wasn't good enough, oh no, not for me, I ate a lunch cake & milk!!!!! So a nut in a shell, can only legally report 1 lb. lost. When will I ever learn? It always shows up in the end. Best wishes to all, hope you do better than I did. It's a hard battle but I'm trying. Bye for now. TJ

Default checking in!

Hello ladies! Just a quick check in. I am home today due to snow and no adult day care and regular care. My husband has been doing it lately so it was my turn. Anyways, things are going ok guess. With my hectic schedule my immune system has been down and I have one heck of a cold. My weight is a yo-yo! Had some binges this last week. Have been trying to deal with a lot of issues. I am also PMS-ing really bad. Not sure what it is I am really craving, chocolate has not done it yet and neither has salt. Girl Scout cookies come in this weekend. That is going to be a killer! oh well! Not much really else going on! Hope to check in again in a few days and see a few more of you. All of our lives are just hectic though. Talk to all of you later.
Catherine

Serena: You are truly a wonderful person! Do NOT let anyone tell you different. And keep telling yourself you are a good person, a beautiful person and a wonderful mom!
Mo, hope to hear from you!

Default Mind if I jump in with you?

I think I got it right, you are all on your own "works for me" type plan? I was seeing a nutritionist but believe I will stop seeing her as of tomorrow, but will keep following the great plan she gave me. Can I join all of you? When do you weigh in? I'm an obsessive scale stalker -- so if I had just one weigh in day I was accountable for, I know I could avoid the scales until then.

Susan

Default HEy

Welcome Susan.
Just a recap. I'm 30 with 3 little boys, 1,3, and 5. At the moment I"m about 187 pounds. I started WW over the summer. My weigh in is on Tuesdays but I believe everybody seems to have different days that they weight in. Anyway, I've actually only lost 10 pounds over the last 6 months on WW. The only reason I stay with it is because from a previous WW expereience I know it works if you follow the program like your suppose to. Not to mention as long as I have someone to answer to every week it will atleast help me to avoid gaining the 10 pounds back. I've just had trouble staying within my points. I've recently tried hypnotherapy. I've had 2 sessions but my husband doesn't think it's helping and doesn't want me to go back. My first session actually worked better than the second. My husband has suggested on several occasions that I see a nutritionist. Anyway, welcome aboard.

Kim -- you are very positive -- I know you must be doing well!!! Thanks for the welcome.

Serena -- I would have to agree with your husband, but I have thought of hypnotherapy but never took the steps. However, I have been seening a nutritionist. It has been great. We went over a list of foods miles long and I just had to cross off what I absolutely wouldn't eat and from there we went through my day/schedule, etc. I have two boys, 7 and 3 and a husband who works strange hours. Regular foods, and things I can eat in a hurry. I meet with her every two weeks and we go over any problems I've had for the week and make any changes I need. It's really worked well for me and because it's much like WW, it's "normal" food, which I need. I don't have a $400 budget every month to buy plan foods from some of the programs out there!! My insurance also covers the nutritionist, which is great.

Rambling, rambling -- sorry. But, I think everyone needs a plan of their own that fits their life and schedule, there really isn't a "one size fits all" plan, or everyone would be thin!!!

Good luck to everyone!!!

Default Hey

Hey, everybody. Well, I went to weigh in Tuesday night. I lost 2 pounds. We're suppose to be going out this weekend for a late Valentines dinner. We'll probably go to yamatos so I can say right now next weeks weigh in isn't looking too good, cause I absolutely love the rice at yamatos. I usually get the chicken, shrimp and filet mignoin entree and they pile it high with rice and I usually eat til I"m sick. I know that's really wrong but I think they put something in it so that you can't stop eating it. Anyway, hopefully I can control myself better. Hope everyone is doing well.

Default I got back online!!!

Hi ladies:

I'm so sorry I haven't been on in over a month!!! I haven't been able to get online at work because of security I think. However, I tried today and it came right up. Also, I don't use the computer much at home and I tend not to post when I'm misbehaving with food and laziness. I'm happy to be back and would like to give a big hello to Susan.

Teresa: Thanks for the IM. It seems I wasn't the only one who hasn't been posting, I miss everyone. I haven't weighed in officially but I feel I'm at my all time high. I'm probably at least 210. I'm afraid to weigh.

I hope everyone comes back to give us a big weight loss push for the Spring. Those bathing suits are just around the corner. I leave for Vegas in 27 days. I'm not looking forward to turning 40 though

I hope to get back on track with my eating and exercise very soon. My gym partner started taking night classes but she said she'd still go with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I wish I could bring the kids with me but you have to be 14...they could use some exercise as well.

I'll check in tomorrow. Mo

I haven't been to my aerobics class lately either. I haven't had anybody to watch my boys for me. I guess I"m gonna have to figure out something else. I didn't really want to have to take them to the gym with me and leave in the daycare cause I'm not real comfortable with that but since I have nobody to help me I guess I'm just gonna have to do it. I've been gorging on food lately. I've probably gained all my weight back.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi, I'd like to join this group. My greatest obstacle is that I don't just DEW it. I know that when I drink water and exercise the rest works out. But...
Anyways, I hope this group can help keep me accountable and encouraged and that I can do the same for you all, too.
I am 49(I think I'll stop counting this year), married with 2 dd's one is 25 today and is a teacher the other dd is 8 1/2 in third grade. I am a school media specialist at a small very rural and poor elementary school. Kids these days can really zap the stress level high.
I run out of diet will power every week or so and change to something else. Maybe when I find the one that works best for me, I'll stick to it.

Default hey

Welcome Dorothy,
Your right around the same area as me. Unfotunately I've been the same weight for the past 6 months. I did great to lose about 10 pounds at first but after that I just kept falling off the wagon. I can't seem to get back on it, mostly just being drug behind it. Anyway, I hope I can figure something out. Hope everyone else is doing well. Hopefully I'll have something good to report next time.

Way to go Kim!

Hey Thanks Serena.. I too am trying to see what is working for me so I can keep it going.... I routinely eat the same foods except prob dinner.. I have to know the points or I only allow myself a very little bit and guess(over guess) I will watch my activities and food journal over the next couple weeks and I will have a clearer Idea of exactly what works.. at least for me and maybe it will work for you too.. are you following ww points?? i find on normal days 3/4 c of protein plus special k w/ 1/2 c 1% milk is great to get me going and keep me full.. if I am not having a mid morning snack i have 1/2 banana on it.. lunch is uusuaslly salad w/ lite dress,, a couple fruit and or cheese snacks a handful of almonds, a lite yogurt and then dinner... my trouble area is night time in front of tv.. i have gotten better.. knowing points I have left and keeping them at 27 for now.. on sat i go over some....since really re starting the ww plan I have lost about 13 lbs and will keep it strong!
I do work everyday now but I found over the weekend I seemed to lose more..hmm no exercise same points.... maybe it finally kicked in or the change in activity boosted it.. so I will keep up the same and see how it goes..

Our family is taking the ferry over to cape may today to visit family... kids first time on a ferry... that they will remember.. so busy day.... you all have a great day.. bye..Kim Keep up whatever works and if it isn't working.. start writing in a journal and monitor yourself.. it can keep u in check! it does me.. well bye!! Kim

Hi ladies:

Unfortunately I haven't been dieting but just wanted to pop in and say hello and for all of you to keep up the good work. I'm thinking I'll try to get back on track after my vacation.

Talk to you all soon and have a great weekend.
