Default Happy Friday!

Good morning ladies!

I am down another 1/2lb. this morning. Yayyy! Total 29lbs. It's been 10 weeks since I've started and according to the 2-3lb/week I'm right on the nose. But boy has it ever slowed down!! I was expecting to reach 30 last week! I have been very good with a few minor exceptions! But look I'm already more than half way to getting halfway there! Pheww!

Anyways, where is everyone? With all the talk about sickies, has it gotten to you all? LOL

Garnet, in answer to your question, yes my husband is chinese. We met in a chinese restaurant! That is his 2nd job, he co-manages it. And he is an accountant in the day. Works a lot of hours! Especially now tax season is upon us, which means every spare moment he can get it's spent in the office. What's your son going to take in school? Glad you had a good day with him!

Countess, your puppies stealing socks from the laundry basket sound like my little girl, only she tries to pair them. LOL

Lois, awwww come on, I'll be looking forward to seeing your pictures! I would use the pic from last year for your before. Your results will look more dramatic, and hey ten pounds lost is ten pounds lost no matter when they were lost! Glad you had a better day yesterday! Here's to another one!

Have a great day girls...it's friday!! WoOOOooo the weekend is upon us, what will I be faced with this weekend? I am suppose to go to another b-day party for cuz's little girl, same town as my sister, but I ain't going. To far to drive for 2 weekends in a row.

TTFN!
~Tina

Hello all . . . Nova Scotia is having a dull, rainy day. Gee I get so tired of winter at about this point every year, even though this has not been a bad one. I think it's a mild case of SAD, because I feel even more tired when the sun doesn't shine. The days are getting longer of course and that is a good sign that spring will come, once again . . . sometimes it just seems such a long wait.

Java . . . I love the idea of the bike in front of the computer. When I think about the time I spend on the computer, it would be great to be able to combine it with exercising something (besides just the fingers). Keep on drinking that water; it really does help. Some days I drink so much I slosh when I move. I figure that's a lot better than stuffing in extra food.

Tina . . . I'm relieved you ditched the pills. Personally, I always hesitate to take anything even pain pills. It's probably because I have to take soooo much that's actually prescribed for me that I'm afraid to add anything into the mix. You are losing so well, you really don't need to think about any faster losses. Just keep doing all the good stuff. By the way the pictures are great and, yes, they do get bigger when you click on them.

Lois . . . After I stopped I got to thinking . . . hmmmm, how much does Isaiah weigh? Maybe you could clone him and strap one to each leg while you move around the house doing your normal tasks. Extra muscle buildlng activity . . .

Jill . . . Welcome back. Great going. No gain in over a month is not a bad thing; it's practicing for maintenance. When you get there, you'll already know how to handle it.

Paula . . . poor you, more sickies. Hopefully everybody will get over it really quickly and you can get back to your regular routine. Hang in there; this too will end.

Garnet . . . I used to have fish, too. I've never had any reptiles, but not because I don't appreciate them. I hate bugs/spiders. . . actually, I'm downright phobically terrified of them. . . other than that, I like just about everything. Hope your son gets his education without too many withdrawals from "bank of mom".

My day is moving along pretty good. I've been drinking extra water. Trying to maintain a full feeling because I feel a binge trying to creep up on me. So far I'm ahead and working hard to stay in front. So here's an extra strong dose of to help us all make it through the rest of the day.

Hang in there, gang. Just keep doing the best you can and the rewards will follow.

Lady Lai - if only the puppies could be so productive!!!

I'm still here and I'm still on my plan. I'm staying off the scale until Monday. Its not going to be easy but I'll make it. I'm hoping to see a loss.

Red face Peeking in from work (PEEK)

LadyLai: Congrats on your loss. Great pictures too, I can see a very big difference.

Meowee: Think Spring!! I think having the bike at the computer is going to help in the long run. Too bad it doesn't actually power the computer, I'd be sure to peddle more and more to keep it going.

LadyLane06: Great job on the work out and increased water. I tip my BIG water bottle to you in a big ole' H2O salute.

Garnetfairy: I have a few cups of Java every morning. Can't seem to part with that. Nope, I'm not drinking any pop, but I definitely don't drink enough milk. I don't like any kind of juice. I love skim milk, but living alone, it always seems to spoil before I get it "gone". I guess I should buy smaller quantities. I do take supplements though, and extra calcium and Vitamin C. I need to check into this sun on my turtle skin thing though... tell me more. Email me if you'd rather.

Mama4dmkd: I hope all the "littlins" get to feeling better real soon. Don't forget to take care of yourself as well.

GSJMyeager: Glad to meet ya. I'm new here, but it's nice to have you here. Great job on not only your losses, but in the feat of not gaining despite losing steam. That's a tough one to pull off. You did great. Best of luck to you.

I'm drinking water, doing good food wise, but slept in too late to exercise (okay, lame excuse, since I WAS on line a good bit), but maybe I can put the radio on here at work and get some "Caged Turtle Circles" in. It's so nice today, I really SHOULD have gone outside and at the very least, walked around the yard. Well, work is calling.

Tina, thanks...I was thinking of using it, but still not sure I will post them, they really did not come out that great. I will take some pics soon.

Linda, that would be a sight to see... Isaiah weighs about 35 lbs., on his last Drs. visit they told me he was over weight... by 4 whole lbs. ...but I could not imagine having two of him!

Java, thanks for the support... and here's a big H²O salute to you too!

The weather here today was really nice ...temps were in the 50's. I went out and did some shopping... came home and did some cleaning, now it's time for me to do some exercise. So I will check back later.

Hope everyone has had a good Friday!

Goodevening all!

Had a pretty good day, same ol' same ol'. Not much to report. I rented the movie "Walk the Line" to watch with my mom tonight whenever she gets here. Have any of you seen it? Considering it has been sold out and rented out since last tuesday, I think it must good.

Well I guess that's all! Have a great night ladies!

Gosh, I am SO SO far behind! I hope you all don't mind if I just pick it up here, my eyes are much too tired to do alot of reading tonight, LOL!

Well, Wednesday I went into the hospital for all the heart tests, and they came back okay! Praise God! After that, I had a horrible 48 hours in which I could not nurse my 1 year old son...that was MISERABLE. He was sad, I was sad. I am just SO glad that it's over!

Has anyone heard from Paula today? I think they had an appt today, and I am wondering how that went...I am praying for you, Paula, if you're here!

So, since my heart tests came back okay, I was cleared for exercise! So, I stared Walk Away The Pounds today. I only did the 1 mile, because I thought I should start out slow, but it felt great! How many days a week should I work out? And does it make a HUGE difference in the speed of weightloss?

My scale hasn't been going down like it used to....I need to do better!

I missed you ladies, and am THRILLED to be back, and with a healthy heart!

Post Busy day!!!

Hi! My Friend's! I once again have no time for personal's I have had a busy day! I got up this morning got online! I somehow managed to move my taskbar from the bottom of my screen over to the side! DH was rushing me out the door for Dennie's Dr App. Which by the way went GREAT! Dr. Parker, Dennie's GI specialist said She is the picture of health! He is sending her to a different dept. to have a swallow test done. He gave her some meds for her Reflux and constipation. He seems to think when we get those two problems under control, she will start eating better! I could just jump around and do the HAPPY dance! After Dr appointment we came home and I tried to fix my computer and messed it up even more! URGH! Computer's are a blessing and a curse! Then I took it to a friend to see if she could fix it AND of course she couldn't! To start with I couldn't log in here and I can't seem to get on MY SPACE! I got my taskbar to the top and that is where it still is!!!!

I am fixing to start selling Mary Kay! I need a job I can do when DH gets home! Because I can't find anyone to keep Dennie! Last year I was going to go to DS's school program and had people hang up on me when I told them about her problems!!!! Anyway I am a Licensed Cosmetologist! So I am using my degree for something besides taking up wall space!! lol I will have my Mary Kay site up and running next month ( I HOPE)!

Plus, Michael and Katie are still sick!

As you can see I have had a wonderfully rough day!!!! I am sooo tired I could sleep for a month. But, I can't do that cause my friend is having a Mary Kay party tomorrow morning! I still need to see why I can't get on MY SPACE then I am turning In for the night! Thank you'll so much for your thoughts and prayers on this difficult day! I have never met any of you and feel closer to you'll than I do alot of people!!! So another for you'll! Good-night!!

Hey Hey girlies - miss me?? Goodness knows I've missed y'all!

Sorry that I haven't been around in a few ... I've been working on our %*&#@$ business taxes ... this time of the year always has me pulling my hair out! For the most part I'm done - just a few little things that have to be finished within the next week ... so now I finally have time to PLAY!

Please forgive me if I skip on personals right now ... I'm just so stinkin' far behind that there's no way that I can catch up! I'm sure that I've missed lots of melting pounds ... so a BIG CONGRATS to everyone for those losses!

Well it's getting late and I'm pooped - I just wanted to pop on real quick to say Hello and let y'all know that I hadn't forgotten about ya! *btw* Love the new thread!

Nitey Nite ladies ... I'll see y'all tomorrow!

Red face Happy Saturday

Not enough time for personals right now, but I plan to do them from work. It's a happy Saturday because it's MY Friday and I have TWO NSV's to report. First, I think I've finally gotten myself used to drinking my coffee with just Splenda. Okay, I'm confessing that I'm out of skim milk and nondairy creamer and the fat free condensed milk I found in the cupboard made my coffee feel "silty-sandy," well AND I left it out and was afraid it had spoiled. But the point IS, I think I can start drinking my coffee with JUST sweetener and no cream, milk or creamer. Saving a good many calories considering how I'd dump that stuff in. (Chemicals anyway.) And my second NSV is that I pushed myself on my recumbent bike this morning to six miles. Okay it took me nearly an hour, as I'd get up and do things around the house. I thought my niece was coming to deliver my Avon, but she canceled on me. I started off riding my bike to music on AOL's radio, but when a friend signed on to IM, I put a REAL radio on, (new radio station here called SAM that plays the ABSOLUTE BEST mix of music from all genres) and peddled to that. Awesome! I REALLY need to go shower now, trust me on that one. I'm leaving a bit early today to rent movies for work. Yeah, movies at work, does that rock or what? I try to get movies that Pooh Bear wouldn't want to watch, so he doesn't feel left out. I'm thinking "Walk The Line" and maybe some chick flicks he wouldn't mind missing. I'm hoping to sign on from work and greet you all in personals. Take care everyone. Happy Saturday! Enjoy your week end.

Default quick check in...

Tina, congrats on being half way to your half way goal. Glad you had a good day yesterday

Cassie, so glad to hear things are ok Just ease back into the exercise and I'm sure you'll be back to speed in no time. I would say 5 times a week... some do 4 - 5 or 5 - 6.

Paula, Yay! ..glad things went well with the appt. I can feel your excitement! Hope the other kiddies are feeling better.

I don't know what's going on with your pc but moving your task bar is easy. Just double click on a blank area of the task bar and drag it to where you wanted located, top, side, or bottom. Not sure it will help, but sometimes clearing out your cache files will help with some problems... hope you get the problem solved soon.

Stacye, and good to see you. Awww, you're forgiven ...look forward to seeing your posts.

Java, congrats on the NSV's! ! ! Have a great weekend ...hey and don't work too hard watching those movies!

It's a beautiful sunny day here and the temps are in the mid to upper 50's ...ah, spring is in the air! I just popped in for a quick check in. It's my day off from exercise but I have some more cleaning to do.

Hope everyone is having a great day... I will check back later.

Hi Everyone,

It's been such a crazy week for me, I've been gone everyday this week and today I just don't want to do anything but veg out!! I've done pretty good food wise all week, but I haven't gotten in as much exercise as I should have. Hopefully this week I won't be on the go as much.

Cassie...So glad to hear that your test came out OK and you can start exercising.

Paula...Glad to hear that Dennie's appointment went all right. That's great news. Hope the rest of your family is over the sickies.

Tina...Love the pics of you. Your daughter is adorable. Glad to hear you ditched the pills. As for getting up early, I have to do that every 7 days for 3 days,, then 7 days normal time, then 4 days at 4:30. Believe me, buy day 3 I'm dragging butt!! It seems lately I'm so tried, but once my head hits the pillow, I'm WIDE AWAKE. I usually get about 5 to 6 hours a night.
WE watched "WAlk the Line" last night also! I really enjoyed it.

Robsia...How proud you must be of your daughter! And a book no less!

Garnet and Paula...I compare also. I remember when I was first married many, many year ago and had finally gotten down to 135 pounds, I would see a large woman and swear I would never let myself get that way, and that's exactly what I did. We are the only ones responsible to make the changes we need to make to get healthy and THIN!!

Linda...We had two days of being in the 40's. I loved it, melted all the snow and ice, but Mother Nature decided to let us know that she is still running things. Woke up to 2" of heavy snow this morning. The good thing, is has almost melted away.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Just a quick hello for tonight. I'm having a down in the dumps kind of day and I have no reason why. But this will pass. Nothing much keeps me down for long.

Have to say I am very glad to hear that Dennie got a good report. You must be so relieved, Paula.

Okay everybody, keep up all the good work and stay out of trouble until tomorrow when I next pop in (in a better mood, I hope.)

Red face Peek

Ladylane06: Thanks for the luck on the movies. They were out of "Walk The Line" (I REALLY wanted that one). So I got "Cinderella Man", "The Corpse Bride", and "Wallace & Grommet/The Curse Of The Were Rabbit". I did good, they were all really great movies. But I TRULY LOVED Cinderella Man. Wow, made me cry more than once and not all bad tears. Excellent movie. And if you sit back in your chair with your feet up on your desk too long, without support under your legs, your knees can start hurting. Just kidding... okay, I'm not really kidding. But hey, it's spring break, not much going on here. I truly love my job.

Meowee: Please cheer up. I sure hope you feel better and have a better day tomorrow. I saw a robin in my yard, I'm thinking spring! A bird lover told me the actual bird to look for is the Red Winged Blackbird to know it's REALLY spring. C'mon, won't be long now. We can make it.

Cheryl120: Hang in there. I'm betting things will be back to normal. I hope you get to stay in like you wanted.

Stayce: I LOVE the puppy avatar! So sweet. And you look so good in your before and "during" photos. I have the same (before & during) photos, but I'm not sure how to post them yet. Well, maybe in a few more months of "during the doing something about it's".

Mama4dmkd: Awesome on D being the picture of health. Great news. I hope you're doing okay and everyone is feeling better.

Cassie501107: Great news on your test results. Take care!

LadyLai, Countess, & Anyone I've missed. A big ole' Turtle Hello to you.

Java Turtle (ready for the week end) I'm off Sundays & Mondays. Gonna squeeze my Pooh Bear.
