Hey Ladies,

britchick, lola, & angie, to the group!

britchick, this site is an excellent source of motivation and this group of ladies are great support.

lola, as Robsia mentioned... it's desire. Speaking for myself, I had to have the right mindset when I started this journey and find an approach that would work this time. I'm not following any particular diet... I'm taking the simple approach... calories out vs calories in and exercise. Plus coming here everyday is a big factor in keeping me motivated.

angie, I think you'll find lots of support here... good luck to you and I look forward to getting to know you.

Today is my day off from exercising and tomorrow is my weight in day... not sure what that will be like since I've had some of those fluctuations this week, ... let's hope for the best :

I'll check back later... hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day!

Default North Dakota says Hi to Britchick, Lola and Angie!

WOW! It looks like the British have arrived. to Fat Chicks Look forward to getting to know you. We are very supportive of each other, try to keep each other motivated, and we all have big shoulders for those of us that need a place to vent, moan and complain on this long journey to get fit and healthy.

Robsia...YEAH!!! You broke your plateau. 0.6 ia almost a pound, well in my book it's a pound. You know, round off to the nearest number.

I'm having a teriffic day! Got the house all to myself and the computer. Ahhh peace and quite is a beautiful thing. I've been doing great on my points so far today. Had a 3 point breakfast of cheese egg beaters, with 1/3 cup of soy crumbles, red onion, mushrooms and a tangelo. I was surprised on how good it was. Lately, I've been having a can of progresso soup for breakfast for 4 points. I know, it sounds weird, but I love soup, and it keeps me satisfied, and I don't over indulge when I just open a can. If I make it from scratch, I have more than one bowl, especially if it Clam Chowder.

Hope your Saturday is fantastic. Mine is, the sun is shining.

Here's a group to all of you.

Cheryl

Of course not, Robsia. We think of you more like steak and kidney pie . . . or maybe . . . bangers and mash. Do you think it's very Freudian that we always think in terms of food????

But, anyway, one Brit does not an invasion make. Now that there are more of you, we colonists are going to have to start behaving better (especially those of us who are still part of the Empire).

Have a good one, kiddies.

*sigh*

Steak and kidney pie. With chips. And gravy!!

*sigh*

Now see what you've done

Ah, see but what you don't know is that I was the avant-garde

Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha

Your life as it has been . . . is over. Resistance is futile.

Somehow I just don't see a Borg playing the harp. Now, a Klingon, maybe. They are much more musically inclined. I mean, have you heard Worf sing?

You know, I'm the only person I've met in Nova Scotia who puts malt vinegar (or any vinegar) on fries. Always have to ask for it. They want to bury you in catsup, however.

I finally found you all again! I had to reboot and lost all my open windows and I had not bookmarked the page like an idiot. I even had thinthinker looking for y'all. I finally though to look in my history folders and there you were back on Tuesday!

did ya notice I was gone??

I went to the gym today and did 32 minutes on the bike at level 7 and did 45 minutes on the weight circuit and just when I was beginning to do free weight rows my mom comes in to see if I am ready to go home. They dropped me off on the way to go shop and thought they would pick me up on the way home. So my workout got cut off before I was ready but it was convenient for them so I can make up for it with a WATP tonight, I guess.

The scale at the gym said I gained 1 pound but since I dont officially weigh in until Tuesday I am not gonna claim it yet. Had some cheats last week and that is what happened but got the wake-up call today and am back on program!

I hope all of you are well! I have not gone back to read all the posts I missed. But I understand we have 3 new brit chicks here so Hello to the newbies and welcome! Be sure to bookmark the page!!!

I'm jumping in here as well, since I have over 100 to lose! I am pretty new here, but my name is Cassie and I am a 22 year old mommy of 2!
I have lost at least 2 pounds (maybe as much as 5 if the docs scale was accurate last week), but I didn't have the best day today! I forgot that a few weeks ago (pre-diet) I had ordered from Red Wheel, and my order came in today, so I had a GORGEOUS French Silk Pie and Cheesecake AND Eggrolls sitting in my freezer! Sooo, I had a piece of the pie after dinner. I am a calorie counter, and even though I went less than 100 calories over my target (if even that...I might not have gone over at all), I am still feeling pretty bad about it...tomorrow will go MUCH better!

Cassie Welcome to the thread! Good luck with your items in the freezer!

mama4dmkd - thanks for the welcome back and for the tip. I get lost continually, it is nice to know I can search for myself. ha ha

As for valentines day, I will get nothing as I have no sweetheart. My parents might give me something, but I doubt it. My son will be busy with his bride (he just got out of the Army, they wed in September).
