Good Morning from Atlantic Canada . . .

Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome and hello again to you, Cheryl. Really, I'm not following you, it just looks that way. A big hello for you Mookie, from one newbie to another.

This is such a great group. All of you are definitely on the right track. Do it now, do it now, do it now. You've been so good, Andrewsmom, it's bound to pay off really soon. I know its hard, but try not to let one bad scale experience get you down. When I started again at the beginning of January I decided I'd only weigh myself twice a month (1st and 15th) because I know I get really freaked out when I don't like what the scale says to me. I'm hoping twice a month will guarantee ( ) good news each time. I do have to admit to sneaking a peak a couple of times though, but I force myself to forget what I saw.

We are having a nice sunny morning and relatively mild, too. Radio is telling me we're getting more snow tomorrow, but we'll see. My BS (blood sugar) is great this morning and that has me feeling nice and sunny too. Finally, last night, I remembered to get a small pork tenderloin out of the freezer and just finished throwing it together with some veggies in the slow cooker. So dinner is officially taken care of.

Well, gang, I'll close for now. Remember, we are getting better and better in every way with each passing day.

Hi everyone! I can't believe 9 pages ago was my last post, feel like I fell off the face of the earth. Anyway, I'm still here, just had tooooo much going on. I didn't get to read everypost since I've been gone, but in general...
Hello to everyone who has joined since.
Congrats & keep up the good work to all of you!!

I've kept up on my eating plan, just let myself slide on the exercise. I'll get back where I need to be though, I know I will. I'm trying to get things settled, get everything back on track I'm just allowing myself to be human. Big step for me.

So, just wanted to let you know that I am still here & thinking about all of you. Hang in there & keep up the good work.

OH YEA, GARNETFAIRY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa, don't let that get u down or discourage you... it's possible that you HAVE lost fat but GAINED muscle. It will be okay ...just hang in here with us. Do you use a log like FitDay of NutriDiary... it can be a big help in seeing what is really going on. I never thought in a million years I'd be logging my exercise, let alone what I eat. I always thought it was too tedious, but it is amazing how this tool is such a help in keeping me motivated... it's almost like a game for me, in which the object is to see if I can make the numbers and graphs move. I guess it's my own personal challenge and it's fun!

Robsia, congrats on the jeans ...I'm sure you will be wearing them comfortably in no time... you are doiing awesome!

Linda, glad your BS is good today. We are having mild weather here in MI too... but I'll take it! ...beats the heck out of sub zero wind chills, that's for sure. Yum, sounds like a good dinner planned and I bet the house smells great!

Deb, to the group. There is always room for one more. I think you will like it here... plenty of encouragement and motivation, which is key!

Teri, glad to see you posting. Hope everything is back on track for you soon. Looking forward to hearing from you when time allows

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. I got my workout in and it was good... I really gotta find that 2 mile tape, it's time! I also did my weigh in and I'm happy to say I'm down 2 more lbs. Yay! I'm on track to my goal! I can't say enough how much coming here is a big part of me staying on track and motivated. Thanks to you all!

Default Me again,

Almost dinner time and the house smells soooo good; thought I might be able to stop salivating for a few minutes by checking in here.

Here's a big welcoming for you Monkey. Funny how we always miss home. So many people in the Toronto area are from somewhere else ("from away" as they say down here). It seems a little more strange when someone born in the big smoke (like me) ends up transplanted elsewhere. Who would think you could actually miss the hectic pace of life in old TO?

All day I've been thinking about everyone who has been lucky enough to have a recent NSV. You know, gang, that is really what it's all about . . . the way we feel, the way our clothes fit, little compliments from friends . . . stuff like that. The scale is just a device that hands out numbers, sometimes good ones and sometimes not so good ones. Each of us is so very much more than just a number. Always remember that.

Here's wishing us all another NSV day tomorrow. Have a great evening (or whatever it actually is, in your "neck of the woods").

Hey! My name is Paula! I need to lose 105 pounds by November! I have no idea where to start! I walked 1 mile today and I ordered the Urban Rebounder but how do you stick with it! I am so tired of being miserable! And not being able to find clothes that don't look like tents! I want to go to Walmart and buy cute clothes that don't cost a fortune! Any Suggestion on how to stick with it?

Robsia, that stands for "non scale victory"

Paula to the group. Sounds like you have made a start. This group is great for motivation and support. I have never heard of Urban Rebounder, can you tell us more about it. The only way to stick with this is to work at everyday and not be hard on yourself... everyday won't be perfect, but it's important to jump right back on track...if you only lose, say 75 lbs., would you be disappointed? My advice would be to try and make it a fun journey and take it one day at a time.

lady lane! The urban rebounder is a little trampoline with a stablizer bar! It looked like fun on the commercial! It is suppose to be easy on the knees and joints(I hope so anyway)!
