Thank you so much for looking this up for me. I will definitely contact a few in San Jose area and see if they take people from outside. I'd like this to be a community thing which will not take up all of my time (I do need time for the gym) but this can be a nice addition to my routine.

another day turned
A(3) H2O - Day 6 (Jan. 6) 3 bottles
B(3) food - Day 5 (Jan. 6) Ate at the right time.
C(3) excersice - Day 6 (Jan. 6) worked out the gym: eliptical, angled leg press and tri and bi cepts. Could have done a lot more, but a friend was waiting for me so I had to leave.

I am going to get flowers tomorrow, as we did not have at the house, I did not want them to get thirsty...and die faster.
I shall think of what to do for the next 10 pounds.
(items I should get soon: underware, new work out pants (both after another 15 pounds at least), any other ideas?)

I need to think of some good, not to expensive rewards too. Since I'm doing The Firm and following a rotation calendar from their website, I reward myself with a new workout outfit for every rotation I finish completely. My last weight goal, I rewarded myself with new workout shoes, that was at 196 -15lbs. So the next 15lbs will be 181, and I need to think of a good reward.

Yesterday was a pause day for wine/sweets, so still on Day 6. Day 8 for water, and Day 7 for exercise: went xcountry skiing, a total of 40 min, it was glorious!

More later, I'm feeling a little old and tired today (see pause day mentioned above... )

We're about to fall off the front page, can't let that happen! How is everyone's weekend going. Good so far for me. I'm stumped on what to make for dinner though!

What kind of workouts do you usually do?
For example if you run outside, a new IPOD could be good, or if you are inside and enjoy the tv- perhaps something which will allow you to listen to it.
Until recently I've thought that my new body is my reward, but now I realize that I need something more...

It's past 1 here, and i do have some things I want to write about:
(Jan 7) Day 7 for water, Day 6 for both excersize and food as I had to take a pause day for excersice. It was not planned, or rather it was a lack of planning on my behalf. I though I will make time, but then I got a call from that guy... and we talked for 4 hours. It was nice, and I feel better, he is not trying anything, just told me that I was cool to talk with and we discussed some work and some life kind of stuff, shared stories, laughed, never it followed by any suggestions, so I think he might be cool as a friend....time will tell.

Talking both challenges are done!!

Heh all. Sorry again I haven't been posting. Just too much going on and I'm feeling pretty down about it all...but, I'm hanging in there and really appreciate all your support and kind words. Got a riding lesson in today, and although partway through it I felt like crying and just giving up, made it through, and I'm glad I did.

Anyhow, as this isn't the dressage forum...I will shut up.

Just wanted to say that just now I finished BOTH challenges!! I finished the caffeine one yesterday but the crunch one was a day later and I waited to say anything till they both were done. So, there it is!! Hurrah, Hurrah!! I am through another round...two rounds if you will. The new thread will be starting up soon...once I decided what I'm going to do. I would like to continue the crunches and caffeine reduction I think, but may make them harder or something. Stay tuned.. The white cat, by the way, is home with me now. She is very affectionate and wants to come out and play with my others...but I don't dare let her until the bad eye is healed...the eye is gone, but the wound needs to heal...and by then maybe the others will be nice to her....

Good luck, everyone, on your challenges. Expect me back with personalized posts any day now.

GIMME AN "R"
GIMME AN "E"
GIMME A "D"
WHAT'S THAT SPELL?

RED!!!
ANOTHER TRIUMPH! BRAVISSIMO!

Day 9 on water
Day 7 on wine/choc
Day 7 on exercise (pause day yesterday)

Well, by the time I had recoverd from the cocktail party of the night before, I realized I was so stiff and sore from Friday's skiing I could hardly walk. Not really an excuse to beg off exercise, but I jumped (ouch!) at it anyway. Today is just as sore, maybe more, but I'm lying in bed on 3fc and contemplating a quick skate, which will no doubt disable some other part of my poor old out-of-shape bod. It's all just sore muscles, an inevitable part of adding in any exercise, but it brings out the wimp in me.

So we'll be getting a new thread! I can hardly wait - this one is getting mighty long. I see that 3fc is suffering the effects of its immense popularity, so I decided to do my bit by reducing the size of my signature - I don't know if that's any help or not.

Speaking of signatures, if Red doesn't snap out of that funk soon, we'll have to start a petition to change her name to BLUE balloon. So there. As my Dad used to say to my brother and me when we were squabbling in the back seat of the car: "Don't make me come back there!" (Actually, in this case, "don't make me come over there", but you get my drift.) Also, "If you don't stop that RIGHT NOW you'll be the sorriest RED in Japan!" So, Red, be aware that you risk a horde of amply proportioned chicks from around the globe landing on your tiny doorstep, every one with her own cure for the blues, each cure more horrible than the last... And of course we'll all expect to be housed and fed according to our special little dietary quirks. (Red, where do you keep the organic peanut butter? Red, don't you have a goose down pillow for me? Red, I'd hate to be a bother - ACHOO - but could you shut the cats away - I'm sensitive to the dander of white cats with one blue eye. Oh Red, would you mind....) Don't say I didn't warn you!
