HAHAHAHAAA!!! (is it only me who appreciates the dry wit of Carla?---and has those same demonic thoughts about XXXs?)

Happy New Year Everyone! I've been lurking a bit but not posting much, nothing is wrong I'm just incredibly busy at work and attempting to have a personal life for a change.

I'm not doing any real challenges, (except for people trying my patience every day), but I am HAPPY to say that I lost the 9 lbs. I gained while recovering ( i was too humilitated to change my ticker) and laying on my buttisimo for 6 weeks and I have also lost 6 lbs. more.

I weathered the family trials quite well with Ativan and wine. The holiday treats were consumed in small reasonable doses and the housekeeping guy I needed so desperately had the NERVE to take a week's vacation, so I did all the work myself! (there was a method to my madness)

This must be the reason for the wt. loss as I have been VALIENTLY scrubbing dusting, washing the construction mess that was left when I fell. along with the regular dirt that I watched accumulate. I also cleaned my bedroom closet and consolidated the stuff to another spare bedroom---a contained MESS waiting for Roderick when he returns from vacation.

My rewards are many! The size 12s are getting too big, the 10's are almost wearable, my face no longer resembles something the dog will howl at once a month. And I did NOT sleep alone on New Years Eve.

I actually feel more optimistic about what I can accomplish in 2006, with everyone's support I could keep up this positive momentum!

I hope you all are well, I will try to catch up on the postings and take proper notes to give you well-deserved Pats on the Back!

Again, Happy New Year and I'll be back soon....(like tomorrow when I get to work at 6AM)

C(3) excersize - Day 1 (Jan. 1) Plan to do T.'s excersises, as gym is closed today.
Ok, so let me start of by fixing the event of yesterday. Normally fix would include a negative...but yesterday .... it was a positive.
A(3) - DAY 1 (Jan. 1) Had 3.5 bottles of water...seriously I did
B(3) food - Day 0 (Jan. 1) Ate after midnight, that right after the new year, but in the even finished eating 3 hours before bedtime. still day zero.
C(3) excersize - Day 1 (Jan. 1) I ended up doing it all. Gym was open and I went. Spent 30min on elipitical, 35 on the floor and other excersices including T.'s, and then walked the treadmill for 15minutes+5 for cool off in slow slow pace (I could do faster) to cool off and dry off the sweat, so that I don't get sick when I walk to my car. It felt nasty, I hated the first 15minutes on eliptical, but then I sort of got into to it, and it went easier. I pushed and yes it was ok, i was as mad or anything...
The joyes thing is starting tonight my gym is open 24/7 which is especially helpful on weekends... or if I have to stay at work later than planned.

woohoo!
Water Challenge (Level 3): Day 2 complete!

Has anyone heard of Cocoa Via chocolate? It's supposed to be actually good for you. The website markets it as a health food (an idea I find somewhat dubious), but it seems like if it tastes good it would be a nice alternative for those of us with chocolate cravings. Does anyone know what it tastes like?

Keep on Truckin!

A(1) Water Challenge- Day 2
B(2) SB1 Challenge- Day 2
C(3) The Firm Challenge- Day 2

It's back to work tomorrow for me. I feeling a little blue about it, though I know I do better with more structure to my life, so it will be fine.

Hello
Still somewhat sick here, but back on track with the challenges. Running is abandoned for now, but hopefully I can start again in a couple of days.

So my current challenges are:
1. No sweets & 10 min stationary bike (level 3), one pause day left

2. New challenge, level 2: a routine of lower body exercises -- sets of different leg lifts while standing and laying down, crunches & sit-ups, and sets of "scissors" with the time increased each day (3 sets of 60 sec first day, 3 sets of 85 sec second day and so on)

Today (Jan 3rd, Tuesday), I completed Day 2 for the exercises and Day 6 for the old challenge. And I want the darn cold to go away, so that I can start running again!

ETA -- I decided to specify the date each time, because I always get confused as to what day I'm on!

Well - here I am - a newbie. I like this idea of a 21 day challenge, so I signed up and will try to check in often.

My 21 day challenge starts today and I am going to start slow. I plan to drink 10 glasses of water per day. That's it!

note to chai girl: my dog's name is chai

I forgot to post yesterday, I believe I have finished day 4 of my exersice challenge and well, maybe today will be day one of no beer, since all the good beer is finally gone. Today I also plan on cutting back on food intake, I really haven't been eating like I'm on a diet.
Chai Girl-just remember, health food or not, it still has calories! If I HAVE to have chocolate I have a little piece, like a Hershey's kiss. Only problem is to keep from eating the whole bag!!!! So I try to keep all candy away, although with 3 kids, it's hard!!

Hello all. I had to take a pause on the crunches yesterday (my last one! ) but was ok on the caffeine, so that means my challenges are askew again. Gotta make sure I get those crunches in, no matter what! No more drinking for me...could've gotten killed yesterday at the riding club party with everyone out riding drunk and bareback. I had the "first fall of the year" and won applause from everyone, on top of having not been wearing my helmet and got my head knocked twice againt the arena gate....ouch! Hard shampooing my hair this morning... Then the owner jumped on my horse and had the second fall of the year after showing off cantering around no hands and then reins in his teeth. Heidi (my horse) must have gotten scared or just had enough because she the next thing I know the guy is off and she's careening around the place. She seemed ok though and enjoyed some sake (rice wine) and brown sugar later. My horse is a cutie, but she does some crazy things...probably was just getting in the mood of the place yesterday. There was even one girl riding her horse bareback and sitting backwards. Well, must get in to work...groan.
