I don't know. You see, with a MAC, if the CD doesn't come up on the desktop there's no way to save it to the drive. That's a problem with Macs. Shad, it's ok. I'll try to get a ZIP drive hooked up or something. But, heh, if you got any ideas, send me an email. I'll send you an email in case you don't have my address anymore. Thanks though!

Whoops. Guess that wasn't going to work. Mail came back. You must have changed your address. Here goes a PM.

Day #2 Exercise Challenge

13 mins. of interval training....(good thing I did it early, because when I came in from walking the dog at 730...there were 5 crisis messages on my machine!)

guys. I am sorry I've been very busy this week with no time to report. No weight loss this week as well, but for the most part I continued with my challenges. I will report later on tonight. Off to work, too much to do.
miss you all.

I wouldn't be too strict about whether it's a bike or a pool, it's the exercise that counts. It's not like you're practicing steps or so. I guess the No. 2 challenge is kaputt though, eh? Whaddya think?
Oh sorry, I didn't explain it well - I did try to do the exercises that make up my other challenge, and managed about 1/3, the standing up part. Forget laying down on the floor and lifting my legs up or trying to do crunches. This sucks - I was going to go skating on Thursday, and another oportunity isn't going to come any time soon... No sweets was part of the first challenge, yes, the one that could not be split.
Anyhow, the swimming was good, I learned to dive and do flops and such stuff! And did some laps too. It seems to have helped my back, so I'll try doing the exercises and the bike today.

My third challenge - eating fruit each day - is going fine, I think I'm on Day 3.

Red, if you're worried about losing your work, maybe you should email it to yourself as an attachment from time to time? And even if the monitor fails, why would that hurt your info on hard drive? (I know next to nothing about computers so should just keep my trap shut. But I'm convinced the email idea is a good one...)

Water challenge day 10 is in the bag. I did so well today - we had mexican food for lunch...that's usually my downfall, but I got a lightened version of my favorite dish...

my favorite is the "ramon special", which is 2 grilled chicken breasts with sauteed onions, cheese sauce, spanish rice, pico de gallo and french fries...and we usually split a basket of chips before hand.

What I ate TODAY was - ONE grilled chicken breast with sauteed onions, spanish rice, pico de gallo and salsa, with cheese sauce on the side so I could just dip my fork in and drizzle it on (I ate LESS than half of the cheese!!) and five small tortilla chips with salsa. - Oh...and I ate two bites of my boyfriend's refried beans (small bites).

It was soooo hard not to dive face first into that basket of chips and order extra sour cream and cheese sauce like I used to, but it felt SOOOO good to eat my lunch and enjoy it and not feel like a bloated wad of salt and grease when we left.

Okay so I have to admit that my mexican restaraunt triumph was offset by a bit of a...well... a mashed potatoes and gravy slip earlier in the day - I am very sore from playing hockey and needed to take some medicine - the lunch ladies had just put out the mashed potatoes and the gravy and I thought "I'll just have a few bites".... It was, I'll admit, more than a few bites...I very nearly did a bellyflop into the gravy pan...but even with that I managed to keep my calories under my max of 1800, so i don't feel like the day was a failure.

Keep on Truckin!

Exclamation Attention!! Attention!! Attention!! Attention!!

Hey all. If you've noticed the signatures have been taken off except for the first post of each page. They're taking a poll to see if you want the old way back so the signatures appear each time you post (you have the option not to show it) or if the signature should only appear once on a page

For popular threads like this is, I say we should have the signatures on EACH post if we want!! It's hard to keep track of things if we don't. It's not awful without the signatures on each post but it's nice to be able to change things when you have a loss etc. If they could shorten them up and that would fix things for people with slow computers and modems then all would be well.

They're taking a poll and the majority will win. Get in there and vote!

and click on the Sticky that says "Signature Poll."

Default Work out and Wash out!!

My daughter graduates from college in May and I want to be down 35 pounds before that date with an ultimate goal of 150. To kick off the weight loss my 21 day goal is to do some form of exercise once a day and drink 64+ ounces of water each day. Wish me luck!!

I did have to pause after all,and then yesterday was day 5. My Friday weigh in was a bust No gain at least, but I really need to find some motivation. I need to stop eating so much and exercise even more. I can still lose 6 or so pounds by the Super Bowl (Feb 5) if I get serious. And that would put me in the 40's which would be awesome. So hopefully I'll get my act together. Have a nice week-end everyone!

Good Morning! How is everyone's weekend starting out. Mine is good, except I have a sick child. He's been sick for three days now. Not to sick, just a slight fever, and coughing. I'm pretty sure he's on the recovery track now. DH and I had a good time at dinner last night, I was still in bed by 8:30 pm though. I'm going out to a dueling piano bar with friends tonight. It should be fun.

Good morning, all. I am so disgusted with myself and about to get back on track. Expect the new thread any time now and I'll be on a new challenge soon after. I have been pigging on junk like I actually deserved it or something!

Morning all,

Day 11 is done for water, however there is yet another pause day for food. I went to the DS2's 30th birthday bash last night and suffice to say there was not a piece of fruit to be seen apart from on top of the pavlova and few of the salads had any green veg in them. Most were heavy on the mayo as well. I tried the best I could, but there is no denying it was not a good day for food. I mean three people brought him a birthday cake!
I have decided that as far as food goes, I need to get organised and prepare a list beforehand. Buy only the food on the list, prepare and freeze it to eat as required. Otherwise I just snack from the fridge. I.m going to have to be really strong if I want to even match last months tracker figures.

*sigh* - sometimes it seem all too hard. Despite regular exercise, despite all this water, despite being good most of the time, nothing is moving around here, apart from time. *sigh*
