Good afternoon Sahmmies! I'm back after a long weekend of house renovation... NOT! We got some painting done, but we also went driving both afternoons. But we had a great weekend, so it was worth it. The house will get finished eventually, I need to stop being so impatient. Hey, that's the same problem I have with my weight loss, impatience! I guess that's something I need to work on.
Losin': I remember Sweatin' To The Oldies! Richard Simmons, right? I was in a weight-loss class in my senior year of high school (instead of regular gym class) and we did tapes all the time. Once in while we did Sweatin', but I never thought it was a very strenuous workout. Boy, that brings back memories. Remember 20-Minute Workout, that was on at like 6am every morning? I can't even remember the channel. There was always 3 girls working out, they looked more like porn stars than fitness "experts"! But it was a killer workout. Hey, I lost 36 pounds that year!
Chris: When we decided to buy the treadmill last year, I really wanted an elliptical instead because you get such a better workout. But my hubby didn't like the elliptical because he felt unsteady on it. I miss using the eliptical, I would only need to be on it for 30 minutes instead of an hour.
Alisha: Woo-hoo for the loss! Keep it up! It's better than a gain, which I had this week (1 pound). Hope the little ones are feeling better. I used to have strep throat a lot as a kid, I hated it! I think the swab test at the doctor's office was the worst part of it!
Big Woo-Hoo! to Tracey! 6 pounds, that's awesome! Keep doing whatever it is you're doing, it's working!

Amanda: I've found that I rarely order the salad at McD's. None of the varieties appeal to me. Arby's has some good ones, as does Wendy's. But if we have to go to McD's, I inevitably order a Filet-o-Fish value meal, and add on a cheeseburger. Can you tell I really need to stay away from that place?!? Guaranteed weight-gain for me.
Hello ladies. Hope you all had a good weekend. I just got back from working out with the trainer. It was a rough work out today. I don't know why, but I am light-headed. I have not done too well on WW this week. It is my TOM week though. It is those darn girl scout cookies. I feel like I should throw them out or give them away, but is that fair to the rest of the family?? I don't know. I weigh in tomorrow night with ww. It is also my wedding anniversary, so we will go out to dinner after my meeting. Hope I'm in an ok mood. I hope I don't gain. I don't mind maintaining, but GOSH I don't want to gain. I am going on a girls' trip to Las Vegas in April and wanted to be down to 180 by then. Not looking too good thus far. Oh well. I worked out today and will eat well today. After all, it is another day. Right?!?!:

Things are slowly starting to get back to normal here the kids are slowly getting better but now i think DH is coming down with it....great..... Anyways i am back on plan today....i have been drinking my water and i plan to do my excercise tonight...so hopefully i will see another loss this week.....*~*~keeping fingers crossed*~*~

Buffalo: Are you eating right?? Cause if your not eating right that could be why you are feeling light headed?? I know when i go on crash diets and then i excercise a lot i really get dizzy headed and light headed! Take it easy
Cynthia: You used to have a gym class to workout to workout tapes!! Did everyone have to take this class?? I used to do Richard Simmons too when i first started loosing wieght when i was 15 thats. I found it too be fun!!

HELP, I CANT STOP EATING!!! I don't know what is wrong w/ me today. I have been eating NON STOP! I had 6 (count'em, 6!) Payday candybars, 5 cresent rolls (like they sell in the bakery at walmart) 10 cheese cubes (the size of a dice) Plus some potroast w/ carrots. Plus I didnt exercise today, because my chest is really congested.... This is such a bad week for me...TOM is here and on top of that, tomorrow would have been my due date had I not miscarried in August...Plus my MIL went to FL for the week b/c her mom is really sick, so I am feeding her 8cats, 1 dog, 2 rabbits, and goat.
Right now, I just want to go to bed, cover my head and stay there till next week. Ok, enough whining...I actually feel better seeing all this in black & white...(although I'm not brave enough to enter all that food into fitday, LOL)
Ok, SO since I Really screwed up today, my plan for tomorrow is:
Breakfast: 1c. large seedless white grapes and 1 sm. banana
Lunch: salad made w/ lettuce, cucumber, and bell pepper w/ FF ranch dressing, and about 5 cheese cubes
Dinner: (not real healthy) sloppy joe made w/ ground beef and "manwich" sauce on "whitewheat" hamburger bun w/ a handful of plain potato chips
Snack: 1 cup s.f. jello
And, I'll workout w/ my Kathy Smith dvd if my chest clears up, if it doesnt, I'll do some strength exercises w/ my resistance bands and dumb bells.
Sorry so long and so whiney Please line up to kick me back into focus, LOL.
No worries my friend. Tomorrow, you pick yourself up and move on. I too have not had such a good week. I weigh in at WW tomorrow. UGH! We will both do better tomorrow. DON'T beat yourself up!!! Amanda: I'm so sorry you had a bad week! I'm like you, though; when I go off plan, I go WAY off plan (and unfortunately I've done it way too often lately). But I guarantee you'll do better today. Because you KNOW that's not the way you should eat. Think about this, there was probably a time not too long ago when you would have eaten like that and not thought twice about it. Now you know better and so you won't do it again. Your monthly friend is a big reason for it, and it sounds like you've got a lot of other stress too. So chalk it up to a taking a day off, and today you're back on track. No big thang.
Buffalo: Next year my motto will be "Just say NO to girl scout cookies!". I got two boxes this year and ate most of them myself. I will NOT get them anymore, no matter who comes to the door (I have no problem resisting the kids selling them outside the door at Wal-marts, because I can't stand that they do that and won't support it). NO MORE COOKIES! (But damn, those thin mints are delectable....)

Cindy B- Yep that was the one.....it does bring back memories. Called an old friend that I haven't talk to in months just to say remember when we did sweatin to the oldies with my mom LOL.
Since walking around the neighborhood is out I bought a walking away the pounds DVD ....any one ever try these workouts? I order it ......it said it had a mile walk, 2 mile walk and a three mile walk...Should be here by friday.
Amanda- Yummy.....thin mints....I bought a box of those too a few weeks back. Thankfully I ate them all before getting back on track Hang in there we all have days like that. I caught myself starting a munch out yesterday morning thankfully all my house work kept me busy enough to keep my mind off it long enough for it to pass.

LoosingIt: I have those workout out DVD'S i have a 3 pack i think.....there good.....i just like something that brings results faster....ya know?? But there a great tape if you like walking and a semi-low impact workout.....

Ok girls. My goal today was to not eat any GS cookies. And boy I have done a great job at it. Instead, I have eaten four cupcakes. Oh MY GAWD!!!! What is the problem here? Full moon? Anyone know? I have a theory. I feel comfortable, healthy, and even a bit sexy again (after 10 years)!! So, I think I am "content" to not try so hard. But, I know I want to lose more! How do I re-motivate? I have lost too much to stop now. I go to my WW meeting tonight. I hope to find inspiration there. I know I am still a big girl. I still weigh 191 for God's sake. Some people would think that I am huge in fact. I missed the gym today. That is not helping my slump. I had to help out and watch a friend's kids instead. Tomorrow I have my trainer again. I hope to get back on track. My daughter turns six this week. Lots of birthday celebrations going on. I will have to be real careful.
CynthiaB-loved what you said about in the past doing "bad" and not even thinking about it. Now at least it is bothersome. Helps to remind me that it is only temporary.
Alisha-GET SOME REST!! So hard to do when the family is sick. Have you guys noticed that as moms, we stay healthy long enough to get our kids through the yuk and then we come down with it after everyone else? Do take some vitamin C, Cold Eaze, or Halls Defense.
Must go for now. I will post tonight or tomorrow am with my Weight Watchers results. Cross fingers, eyes, and toes for me. To maintain would be a success. To lose this week would be a freakin medical miracle. We'll see.
Good afternoon ladies
I've done MUCH better today. I got in about 30 minutes of boot camp, then Christian's school called and threw my whole plan for the day off. I had to go have a conference w/ the principal. SO when I was finished at the school, I went to mcd's for a salad and diet coke (I only ate about half of the salad) then I went shopping for exercise equipment and ended up geting an eliptical machine laid away at kmart...Cant wait to get that baby paid off, lol. I did eat a peanut butter egg though, EVIL TOM!!! LOL I should still be w/in my limits for today though, so no worries
Tomorrow I'm going to try to do boot camp again (and hopefully I'll get to finish, lol)
Well I hate to run, but i've got to get dinner started. Thank you for all the support, I dont know where I'd be w/o you all....yeah i do, I'd be eating another 6pack of candybars, LOL....
I am so exhausted but wanted to post. I am so excited. My daughter is starting school April 3rd. It's a special school for children for special needs and I've been trying to get her into this school for some time. And finally we have a date.
Today I had an appointment to go to and instead of taking the bus, I walked. I checked mapquest and it is about a little over a mile away. So I walked over two miles today. Go me! Now that the weather is warming up I really want to add walking to my regular exercise.
Hi ladies. Hope you are all having a great day. It is just before lunch time here in Az and so far my day is going well. I weighed in at Weight Watchers last night. UGH!! I gained two pounds. That is ok. I am back on track today. I feel it in my bones. I have had four points for the day and I get 24. Plus I went to the gym and did my work out with my trainer. It was a good one. Lots of lunges. When I first started to exercise, I could hardly do them. I would lose my balance. Now I kick butt at them.

Tracey, Congratulations on getting your daughter into her school. Sounds like it is very important to you guys. I hope it continues to be a positive experience for you into the future. Best of luck to you guys!
An interesting thing I learned at my meeting last night........you would have to walk one football field to walk off one M&M. Think about that before we eat one more candybar, cookie, or french fry.

Today has been really good so far (although I have slipped in some sweets, lol) I am resting at about 1500 cals for the day (including what Ihave planned for dinner) and I worked out for 40mins w/ my kathy smith video. I'm doing well on water this week also. I have also found a new favorite "diet" drink,
Lipton diet green tea w/ citrus. Its delicious (and I was VERY skeptical about trying green tea, lol)
Anywho, I've got to get going, so I can feed my MIL's animals before I pick Christian up from school.
