  • Good afternoon!
    So far today has been so-so. I stopped at mcd's for breakfast and had a sausage biscuit (I should have grabbed a slim fast bar or something when I was at walmart instead) I am on my 2nd bottle of water, and I did my workout (only 20 mins, but after a month of being lazy, I'm happy) When I did my shopping I stocked up on fresh veggies to snack on and some FF dressing and bought a pack of sugar free jello cups to combat those sweet cravings. And I have logged my food into fitday, so that my bad choice will stare at me evertime I log on there today, LOL.

    Nett - CONGRATS on not smoking!!! It is such an accomplishment... you have done the hardest BUT BEST thing for your body!!! Sending you bubbly, happy quitter vibes & exercise vibes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ you've earned it!!!

    Cindy - great goal for this week!!! Body By Barney - LOL!! Except that would turn me off of exercise! I am not a Barney fan - lol!!! It's wonderful that you stayed the same and didn't gain! You can get it going again! The weather of walking is upon us! I am taking the kids tonight after dinner - they really miss it!

    Chris - I know what you mean about the "who cares" attitude! When I go off plan I usually steamroll headfirst into everything I shouldn't have! Not anymore - when i get that feeling like, well, I've already blown it, might as well have that donut (or six) that i wanted --- I make myself say no, and exercise or floss my teeth to something to keep me busy. I am weird, but it works, so far. You can stay on track!

    Losingit, Tea & Alisha - hey girls hope ya'll are fine and doing well. Tea, did you end up with the stomach bug that's going around? I hope you are better if you did.

    I am hangin' in there. I lost another half a pound. I swear that Ab Bootcamp is the best. I can't wait to take pictures on the 16th to see the changes!!! Better go shoot some hoops with the kiddos!! Well, ok so I'll be chasing the balls while they shoot, but it's still burning calories!!!

  • Going to the gym with my sister tonight. I did great with my calorie intake today so far. I feel much better than I did yesterday.

    Good Evening Ladies! How is everyone doing, sorry i didn't post yesterday. Got busy doing some stuff around the house, it is amazing how fast laundry can build up!! Gosh!! What would our families do without us!!??!! Anyways this week has already started out stressful for me...me and DH have been argueing about anything and everything, i feel tired and just moody!! Needless to say i have not totally been on plan this week. Today i was at MIL house and we made homemade nachos so i guess it was better than going to TB and getting there nachos....who knows what kind of fat is in those!!

    Cara: I hope your daughter gets to feeling better soon! Things have been ok here just kind of stressed! You know the normal mommy stuff!! Congrats on the loss, i am SOOOOOOoooo HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

    Cynthia: Body By Barney!! That is too funny!

I just find it hard to get onto the computer every day sometimes i mean i don't know when i do get on i have just about enough time to check my email and check with my Sahmmies, you know what i mean?? But thats awesome that you journal!! I think i need to start again, cause when i journeled i watched what i ate.......Hmmm maybe i will start again.

    LosinIt: You go to the "Y" Thats great, i used to have a membership there, but i had to quit when my husband got cancer and i had to work for a little while why he got back on his feet. And unfort. i just have not rejoined!!

    Nett: Thats so AWESOME that you quit smoking, i think that is the MOST important thing you could of done for yourself!! Thanks for the support and great words of wisdom!! Your awesome!!

  • carafre - No, I don't think it's a stomach bug. Just a really nasty cold. Today I'm still not feeling great but I'm not feeling horrible either so I'm definitely going to exercise. Gotta get back into the groove.
  • Good Morning Slimmin SAHMmies!

    I have completed my workout for today, and am on my 2nd bottle of water. So far I have done pretty well on my calories for this week, so Hopefully I will see a change for the better on saturday's weigh in. It is a beautiful day here in Southwest VA, and I dont know about you all, but something about the spring-like weather has me inspired I think I will take some time each day that the weather is so nice, to start doing some yardwork. I have brush to clear, gardens to dig (i dont have a tiller so i have to do it the old fashioned way...Lots of exercise!) and I may start hanging some of my laundry outside again.

    Alisha: I do like fitday, it really helps me to have the foods I've eaten staring back at me w/ full calorie and fat count, lol. It also lets me see where I am getting my calories from (fat, carbs, protien) I also write it in a notebook (hmmm....maybe i'm obsessed? LOL)

    Tea: Sorry you're feeling bad. Sending "get well" vibes your way ~~~~~~~~

  • I did a post yesterday and it didn't submit.

    Anyhow, I'm doing okay. Tiana was home sick yesterday and I wasn't feeling so good either. I'm so sick of all this flu and cold stuff everywhere.

    Monday night I went to the gym with my sister and did 35 min on the elliptical and 45-50 min of weights. I was feeling it yesterday. My butt and legs were aching. I feel much better today.

    Homework is calling. I've been poopin around for most of my spring break this week and I still have some assignments due on Monday. May as well get a head start on it all so I'm not scrambling to get it all done this weekend.

    Good Evening Ladies! How is everyone doing? Hopefully good! Things are ok here my 7 year old is out of school right now because he is sick he has a fever of 102.4 right now we are alternating Ibprofen and Tylenol but we are still taking him to the doctor tomorrow. I hope he gets to feeling better soon, i hate when the kiddos are sick!! Anyways how is everyone else doing?? Is anyone else fighting this bug??

    Amanda: I did journel in Fitday once but then i never went back to it. I think i will make that my goal next week to go to it everyday or atleast journal on paper and then enter it in when i get online....Sounds like you are doing really good!! You go girl!! I think you are going to see a change this week. What excercise are you doing? Are you doing billy??

    Chris: You sound like DH he has been on Spring Break this week and he too has not done much and i think he has assignments due!!

    Losinit: As far as DH and his cancer he is Cancer free...he had Testicular cancer. And he had the tumor removed and then he had his lymphnotes removed so he went through two surgeries but by going through the remover of the lymphnotes he didn't have to go through Chemo or Radiation. So that was good, i mean he still has to go back every 4 months for a c/u but thank the lord he is ok!! Thanks for asking!!

    Tea: I hope you get to feeling better soon!! Take it easy!

  • Good evening ladies! Just a quick check-in for me. It's nice to see some of the old faces again, Amanda, Carafre, Alisha, and everyone else. I miss my Sahmmies when I don't post every day!

    I've been drinking lots of water this week, so that's good. Even though I hate using this as an excuse, my monthly friend stopped in for a surprise visit on Monday (I say "surprise" because I always forget to keep track.... which explains the "surprise" that is sometimes known as the Sir ). But I have a good feeling about weigh-in this week. I've been getting some exercise, not as much as I should but more than usual.

    How is everybody else doing? I have a question for the Billy Blanks masochists: Is that Ab workout part of the Boot camp tape? Or is it seperate? I'd like to buy it, I'm sure it kicks butt (er, ab).

  • Well I ate okay, not awesome but I made up for it with a workout at the gym. I'm doing it a bit different this week and I can feel more muscles aching which means I'm working them babies...WHO HOO!

    I see changes in my muscle tone and body shape but not much on the scale. I can't wait to see the numbers start going down. Man, I pray for that!

    Gonna get a game of LIterati in before DH gets home. Then I'm taking a nice soak in the tub with my PSP book to learn how to do that stuff.

    I only drank 36oz of water yesterday, but I did stay w/in my calorie limit. Today I am going to have :
    Breakfast: 1C cereal (dont know what kind yet) w/ 1/2 C. milk (whole)
    Lunch: salad made w/ lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper, broccoli, and a little cheddar cheese w/ FF ranch dressing
    Snack: 1stalk celery w/ peanut butter
    Dinner: Shepherds pie (or cottage pie rather, since I use beef, lol) w/ sm. side salad
    Snack: 1c. sf jello

    Alisha: Thanks for the encouragement As for the workout, I'm just doing Kathy smith right now...I figure that Billy would REALLY kick my butt right now, LOL. Plus DH bought me a small desk and moved it into the living room and now I lost about 2.5ft of floor space, lol. I dont know if i have enough room to do all those kicks and jabs. But we will find out, because next week I am going to start adding billy back into the mix.
    Sorry your little one is sick, I hope he feels better soon.

    Cindy, The ab workout is part of bootcamp, but I think most stores sell the Bootcamp dvds separate, I know I have seen them individually at kmart...also try ebay.

  • Good morning Sahmmies! How is everyone doing today? It's a windy, slightly overcast day here near Atlanta, but it's in the 60's so I can't complain too much. Spring is coming and we'll all be wearing shorts again and t-shirts, so let's keep on working out and eating right!

    Did you see the note at the top of the main forum page about the 3fc book? The 3 ladies wrote a book. How exciting! I bet there's a lot of good stuff in it, I'll probably order it.

    Not much time to write this morning; hubby has been out of town but is on his way home. When he gets home (in about an hour) we'll go to Home Depot to "look" at flooring for our downstairs. I hope I can persuade him to actually order it and get it installed. *crosses fingers* We really shouldn't do it now (money) but I HATE our 10-year-old pseudo-white carpet!

    Good Evening Ladies, i just wanted to check in real quick before i started dinner. How is everyone doing? I am ok, i spent most the day at the doctors with my son. He does have Strepp Throat, so needless to say he will be out of school tomorrow also. But i think he is starting to feel better so thats good!! I have been eating ok today no real booboo's yet.....

    Amanda: I totally understand about not having that much room, we live in an apartment so we REALLY don't have the room and then to make it worse my 3 year old decides when i am ready to workout that he needs to bring all of his toys into the living room, so the room gets even smaller......GOOD for you doing your KS tapes!! You go girl!!

    Cynthia: Nice hearing from you! I really think you will see a loss this week, i can feel it. You have been doing good!!

    Chris: you go girl with your bad self!! Good job keeping up the working out!!

    Do you mind if I join in? I'm a SAHM and trying to lose weight AGAIN. I started weight watchers again "honestly" this time and need some buddies to keep me going. It looks like a lot of you have been at this for a while and are doing great. My goal is to lose as much as i can for July....little surprise for my husband and of course making me feel better about my self too
