Good Morning girls!!! Well , I picked Saturday as my official weigh in and I am down 5 pounds!!!! YEAH!!! Gotta love the first week of weight loss...it is so encouraging.

I think I will do a Christmas challenge for myself of a 15 pound weightloss goal so this week gives me only 10 more to go. That will leave me a week for not so good loss for Thanksgiving without beating myself up about it. But I do plan to stay right on track for Thanksgiving since I have to work on that day I should be able to do it.

Noelle,AWESOME !!!!! You did great on your walk I am so impressed!!!! GREAT JOB!!! You would be so proud of me, I did all healthy gifts for us this year. After I had ordered I thought that pedometers would have been good so we could track our steps together but too late. Maybe next year I will do that.

Kempy, I hope your party turned out great! Have a fun weekend girl.

Cal, My kids have school this week and then ANOTHER week off!! They had a week off in October. Geesh, I want to be a kid again since they are never in school. How did the 75 feel on your skin? I bet it felt really cold considering your normal temp, huh?

Julie, How are the kiddos eyes this morning? I hope they are feeling better.

Red, How are you today?

Well, Girls have a GREAT WEEKEND!!

Hey guys. All of you seem to be really getting back into the groove. Maybe i need to get my butt on here more often. I have been in a major funk since the storm and I can't seem to get out of it. Well, the party was bad as far as my people go. My sister had 12 and I had 3. I was so pissed at my friends. I didn't even care if they bought anything I just wanted them there to support me. Then yesterday at work I just couldn't even talk to them. I went in for my clients and left. They wanted me to go eat with them but I told them that I didn't feel very well. I think by Monday I will be a little better with the whole thing.

Julie I have never even been around someone with pink eye. I couldn't tell you anything to do about it but I hope they feel better. I used to write down what I eat and it really helped. Maybe I should get back to that.

Cal when do you guys get off for Thanksgiving? Kids down here have so much to make up they are thinking about only having Thursday and Friday off. Usually they have the whole week. I even think they are going to cute down on the Christmas holiday. Man, I am glad that I am not still in school.

Red I can't beleive you have been there for 23 years. What was it that made you head over there in the first place?

Noelle one of my cleints is heading over your way next weekend. I am so jealous. I was thinking I would put myself in her luggage. Do you think they would notice?

Anige you rock girl! I relaly need to get moving again and maybe chatting with you will help me do just that. I just feel BLAH!

Well, I am heading to my SIL's for some Mary Kay stuff in a few minutes so I will check back in tomorrow.

I just wanted to post a little tonight. Ashley has a cold and has been wanting to be held all day. She doesn't have a fever; just wants Mommy.

Angie: Yeah, 75 is pretty cool for me, but comfortable. We have Thanksgiving Day off and the day after...that's when I enjoy going shopping. I don't need to, but I love the atmosphere and spending the time with my sisters and SIL.

Kempy: We've always got only the two days for Thanksgiving. My sister had a week last year, but the teachers voted for the two days so they can get out a little earlier in June.

Red: My school is Desert Star Elementary in Avondale School District. I still can't remember the name of the city where our sister school is located. I'll probably have to wait and ask someone on Monday.

Hello to everyone else.

Default Hello My Gurlz!!

Just got back from grocery shopping. Looks like things are really poppin' in here!

Angie- I am so proud of you You are so determined. Keep it up. You have everyone else in here motivated!!!

Cherie- Speaking of motivation! A marathon?!! You go girl. I fugured if I add all the miles I ran in the army I have quite a few marathons under my belt so I'm good. But what an accomplishment that would be. I wish I could be at the finish line to cheer for you. Hmmm there's an idea...

J- Your poor babies. I never had pink eye, but from what I heard, it's definately no picnic. Hope they feel better soon

Red- What's going on. I can relate to your feeling out of touch with american culture. My entire tour was overseas. Don't worry though, we'll keep you hip

Noelle- Isn't it sooo tempting to eat things you shouldn't when out with your buddies. I know the feeling. You'll do fine on your weigh in. Don't sweat it. Remember, you did the hill, Girl!! I don't know about slimming down over the holidays. I actually plan to gorge on mom's food. After that though it's back to business.

CAl- I see your girl caught the bug too. It's that time of year. Pumpe her full of robitussin and she should be fine

Kempy- I know the hurricane threw you off your routine, totally understandable. Too bad about the mary kay thing. Don't let it stress ya too bad.

I'm feeling a lot better today. My cold is clearing up quite well. I'm about to cook dinner but there is something in my stove that's burning, maybe greece but I don't know. I gotta take care of it. TTYL

Hey girls, i took Michael to see the movie Zathura (the outer-space version of Jumanji) and it was pretty entertaining and fast-paced. There's an astronaut character that's pretty good looking in the nerdy kind of way (like Jimmy Fallon on SNL?)... but anyway, I had an OP day. Get this, NO POPCORN touched my lips at the movie. I had a diet soda and that was it. I came home and ate my dinner just like that. According to my new scale I am down about 2 lbs since Tuesday so I am going to keep on working it until my next official weigh-in, then I will change my ticker.

Angie, I love that holiday ticker you have. 5 lbs girl, that's awesome!!! I like your goal of 15 lbs by Xmas too, that sounds totally doable. You've got me all fired up and I am already planning on conquering my nemesis "the hill" and a little extra to come up with 5 1/4 miles tomorrow morning--that was my usual Sunday morning walk. I hope the dogs can handle it--and I don't mean my feet . Lucky is about 6-1/2 months now and I've got to get her trained good to walk on a leash--the last 2 out of 3 times I took her out she tried to cross in front of me and I stepped on her poor little feet. That must've felt like a freakin' steam roller to her

Kempy, maybe you can smuggle yourself in a duffel bag? i would love for you or any of you gals to visit. I would definitely take you guys on an island tour, complete with a stop at the Polynesian Cultural center where we can scope out all those insanely handsome New Zealand Maori boys

Dips, hope your dinner didn't get overdone.

I gotta run and make sure my boy is done with his shower. Have a good evening and hi to all!

Default Happy Sunday, Babes!

Good Morning. It is 7:20am in the big apple and 50 degrees outside. Our high will be 64 degrees. Not bad for mid Nov. But I know the frost bite is right around the corner. (Booo ) I cleaned the greasy gook out of my stove. I wonder how it got there My dinner of steaks and broccoli came out quite nice, though. I didn't eat too ,uch of it though. I don't know what's wrong with me, my appetite is not quite where it was before. These days I feel like I'm making mysels eat. (where was this problem when I needed it ) I guess I'm still a little sick because I start out feeling hungry then after a few bites, I lose my desire to eat. It's weird. Anyways. I made some eggs this morning and finished the rest of my steak and had a glass of veggie juice (eww). I have the same feeling now. Not one of satisfaction but like I shouldn't have eaten in the first place. Hope this clears up by Thanksgiving. Anyways enough

Noelle-Way tro go on the weight loss! I know you're gonna do well on your official weigh in. I'm hovering between 130 and 132 these days depending on how much tea I consume. I have to finish the film on my camera so I can post by B-Day pics. I'm working on it. BTW good job on your movie cuisine! Everyone seems to be doing so well this month! All I've been seeing on the news is the footage from the Harry Potter premiere in manhattan (yuck) Now they are saying they begin shooting the next movie in Feb. I'm like, isn't Harry, like 20 years old by now "Harry Potter goes to college"

I do NOT feel like going to work today but the bills aren't going to pay themselves, right?

Good Morning girls!! I made a pot roast with potatoes and carrots for my supper yesterday. I invited my sister and neice over so that way I wouldnt have a bunch of roast left over to snack on. I also made a cake mix minus the oil and egg yolk and put a chocolate glaze on it so that way I can have a snack once a week when I am good so I dont feel too deprived. It was AWESOME!!!! I even got in 30 minutes on my treadmill before I headed out for the day. I think I am getting it back. YEAH!

So that makes 2 days in a row that I usually eat a spicy chicken meal at Wendy's and I skipped them both times for my turkey sandwich. And it wasnt as hard as it seems when I had tried every other time to get on track. My whole family is trying to eat healthier so that is nice. Jay has done awesome. The twins have a little bit of chub that they have been complaining about so they are trying to move more and eat healthier too. I would be so happy if I could help them slim down and be happier.(they have been complaining about it not me by the way)

So my plan for today is cereal for breakfast, turkey and wow chips for lunch and crispy haddock with (maybe) baked fries and a huge salad for supper.Plus 30 minutes on my treadmill with my new shoes.

I was reading in my First magazine about a woman who had c-sections so her stomache was stretched out like mine is when I lose all my weight. She had a tummy tuck and her stomach looks so good now. Me and jay were talking ablout it and I think if I get down to 130 pounds again I am going to suck it up and immediately have it done for myself so I can feel as proud of my accomplishment as I should. Every other time I decided to wait a while but the extra skin really screws with my self confidence because you can see the pouch of skin in my jeans. So that is my longtime goal.

Kempy, I am sorry you didnt get many friends to come to your party. You know I would have been there for you in a heartbeat. It sucks that we dont all live near each other. I know we would be the best of friends and there for each other. I had never thought about all the school the kids down there would have to make up. Poor kids, it isnt like they missed it to have fun or anything. Are they going to have to go into their summer break?

How does Joe handle the poisonous snakes and alligators when he goes duck hunting? He must have had alot of run ins with the water moccasins you were telling me about doesnt he? What about the dogs when they swim out to get the duck? Just little things that pop into my mind.

Cal, I hope Ashley is feeling better today. I know everyone up here has been sick. Me and Jay say every year that we are not going out the day after Thanksgiving and every year they have some awesome price on something and we go out.

Noelle, I want to see that movie too. I love Jumanji. The guy is the actor from Punked.Great Job resisting the popcorn. You are doing so well. Congrats on your loss. You can walk way further than I can right now. Keep it up girl!! You have to post some pics of Lucky sometime...He must be getting big by now. We had a doberman when we first got married that would circle us while we walked her. We couldnt walk her at all because by the time we got in front of our neighbors house she would be wrapped around me five times. She had a circle thing because she would do it to our feet when we were sitting in a chair too.

Dips, Wow it is still pretty nice down your way. Our highs have been 35-40 now. The snow we got the other day never did melt off my deck...it just froze so the animals are pissed when they have to run across it to come inside. I hope you feel better for work today.

Well, I gotta go walkin. Talk to ya later.

Just a quick post today. I need to clean this mess of a house. I really don't have much going on but I wanted to say hi.

Angie the kids will have to make it up at the end of the year. I am sure they will hate it. They really don't have snakes out right now so he doesn't have to worry about it.

Sorry this is so short but I have to get things moving today.

Hi girls...just loafing around on a Sunday morning. Rick had to go to Kauai for the weekend for an aunt's funeral. The airfare alone cost $233 not to mention the car rental and a cheap hotel so I didn't want to tag along. I did my walk this morning with the dogs. We didn't do the 5.25 but we did do the 3.5 since I had to haul Michael out of bed and take him with us. He complained first that he was thirsty, then hungry, then tired, then.... Next week Sunday I am going by myself without the dog, without my sis, without the whining boy Then I will be able to go wherever I want to for as long as I want. I'm gonna try and go out again in the evening though so I may just get in 6 miles today

Kempy, when you're done cleaning house can you come over and do mine?

Dips, we've got 77 right now, expecting to get up to about 83 I'd send you some warmth knowing how you don't like the cold... I would be one of the legions of HP fans lining up to see the film in Manhattan

Angie, I read in a celeb magazine that they (celebrities) have had their c-sections and the tummy tuck done at the same time so their post-partum recover does not include a loose, saggy stomach--isn't that sick? Aaah to have drs that would do such things and to have the disposable income to do it! That's Hollywood for ya.

Hey Angie, what was your recipe for the cake mix again? Were you the one using a can of diet soda in place of the egg, oil and water? I got a recipe from WW using 1 15 oz pure canned pumpkin and 2 tsp cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice with 1 box white cake mix. It comes out kinda like a bread instead of a cake but it tastes really good.

I gotta run for now, washing machine is calling.

Have a great day all.

Noelle, that is funny that you said that about the celebrities because I know that has to be what Britney Spears did. Her stomach is so flat right now and she had a scheduled C-section. I was so surprised when her first pictures came out. Must be nice.

I just take a plain old cake mix and add the water plus maybe 1/4 cup to make up for no oil and all the egg whites but no yolks. It comes out just as good then I take powdered sugar and cocoa powder and add water until it is just wet. then I microwave it until it is warm and drizzle it on the cake. I will definately have to try that recipe. YUM> I love anything pumpkin.

Kempy, Did you get your house cleaned?

Well, Gotta go cook supper.

Smile heh there!

Hey all. How's it going? Monday morning here and I had a much-needed sleep-in. already 7 a.m. here, about three hours later than I usually get up! But I did go to sleep about three hours later than usual. Yawn. Long day yesterday. Took the bullet train down to Kyoto for another big race. It went well, but I was hung over from drinking the night before with the coworker sprung from lockup. Poor kid. Sounds like a frame job if I ever saw one. Yaks (mafia) and cops are a bad mix here.

It was the second time in three weeks I've been down to Kyoto and I hadn't been there in ages. Feels like something is starting to move all over! Like some sort of cosmic knot is loosening. Have any of you ever noticed how when you travel, things start to happen, like meeting interesting people and striking coincidences popping up? Well, not that I met anybody, but yesterday when I was down at the track in the press room writing my story, my cell phone rings and it's a friend in Hong Kong. I'd been trying to reach him to see if we could hook up when I go there next month as we usually do. He and his wife are there (they're Japanese). He's an old rocker and I love meeting him. But I hadn't heard from him and figured he was working over on mainland China now that Disneyland is built (that's what he's been doing for the past several years.) And then I hear from him! It's so neat with mobile phones. Linking the world. I wish I could get one where you can use it overseas but they're expensive I think. Ok, ok, shut me up! And the caffeine hasn't even kicked in yet. I think it was the sleep!

Well, back into the office today. I think I spend most of my life on trains...I have been doing well for the past three days with my new 21-day challenge (any of you interested it''d be great to see you over on that thread too! ) I'd been doing super-hard challenges like no-sugar, no white flour, but now I'm trying a "live like you're already there" challenge and just allowing myself anything as long as I stay within bounds, like what I would have to do if I were lean and healthy already! Healthy part is there, just not the lean part. I'm doing well so far and feeling hopeful. My weight tracker has budged for the first time in ages. Wish me luck that I can keep it up. I love hearing that some of you are feeling revved as well!

There are so many posts! And I just realized that I missed a whole bunch of them...hmm. Well, trying to catch up here a bit.

And now I see I have no time to write any more. Just let me say I will reread all the posts and get caught up later. You mostly sound great. Angie, way to go on the weight loss! You are rocking, kid! Kempyd, just blow off those workmates of yours. Don't get down about some party. And, I don't know how I ever stayed 23 years. I guess one thing just led to another. I was always a wanderer at heart and a loner, very independent and looking for the excitement (to me) of being in unknown and strange surroundings. I thrive off that! I was in India and planning to go back and didn't get the visa immediately so was ticked and blew them off and just came here since I already had the plane ticket as far as Bangkok. I never plan too much and I kind of go with the flow and whatever opportunities seem to be coming my way. Kind of like reading the moment and going with it. mele, how're you doing? Still feeling pysched! I hope so! I love reading your posts. I feel a lot of optimism there! Dips, "not feeling like it" is the story of my life when it comes to the daily routines. I have learned to just push on with so many things and am usually very, very glad I did. Not stopping to think how I feel about something is the key. Of course, this can lead toward putting up with crap for the wrong reasons. Assessment away from the action is key. NOT when it's say, 4 a.m. and you stop to consider if you really want to get out of bed! cal, ok, let me know when you know the school. Well, must run now. photogirl, jbbm, hope to hear from you soon! Take care all!

Here are some new pics of the puppies. I hope they come through ok.

Red what kind of challenge are you talking about? I might just jump on that one. I don't know if you remember but I used to be on the body building site too. (just a little info from me)

Kemp -- It's the 21-day challenge. Here's the link to the last page. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...t=67041&page=7
I start the threads so that's where I spend most of my time. It'd be great if you could join up. Read the first page where the challenge is explained and hop on! I forgot your were on the "ladies that lift" thread. I was thinking it was here or the old 21-day challenge thread that Amarantha had started. Ok, now I'm clear. I don't post over there anymore, just the challenge thread and here. What are these adorable pups? Did you breed your dogs?
