Today is my start-over day and I'm doing it up right with "Da ****." :jig: She's on her way over right now to work out. However, I don't know just how hard I should be working out on a weigh in day. But whether I go back to TOPS has yet to be decided. I can't for the life of me figure out why, but I could NOT sleep last night. I FINALLY went back to bed at 0400 and maybe dropped off by 0430. The only thing, besides it just being too darn hot to sleep, that I can think of was the Diet Dr Pepper at supper.
I only got two meals yesterday, but since I'm still trying desperately hard, I had to be accountable for every point. I made eggs, whole wheat toast and fake sausage (Morning Star Farm). The points added up quickly and then for supper, Jay grilled some sort of lite keilbaska (spelling). Those points added up too, but at least I had enough for a Slim-a-Bear for dessert. Gotta go. SHE'S HEEEEERE. I'll write more later. :coffee: |

This is an oddity ladies. I actually writing to you from the medical staff lounge. I got a consult but the patient is in ultrasound. I'm supposed to go to a baby shower tonight so I have to stick around for awhile to see if the patient returns at a reasonable hour. If not, someone will have to do the consult tomorrow. However, there are few things I hate more than wasting time. Hope you all are having a good day and the **** didn't wear you out too much Turtle. They are ordering out for this shower tonight and I don't think they know I'm on low carb so I hope I can eat something. Otherwise this may be a miserable evening for me. (having flashbacks of father's day at my sister's house).

uggg....its my TOM and I feel so gross. I have all the symptons. What a mess. I am going to pilates at the gym tonight and then I'll work out after, that should at least cheer me up. We'll see. OK so next week I'm going to the beach so I am trying to get my self preped. I am going to miss WI for 3 weeks because of the timing. I hope I do OK. Last year I was so active at the beach, I woke up early and jogged on the boardwalk most days and did yoga class. I didn't lose because I wasn't realy watching what I ate but I don't think I gained. This year I am going to try and journal the whole time and not treat my self to ice cream to often. Gotta get back to work. Jennie |
OMG these are soooo good
4 oz turkey bacon or sausage 1/2 green pepper chopped 1/4 onion chopped 5 large eggs (or egg beaters) 1 12 oz can sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup f/f or l/f cheddar cheese preheat oven to 350 spray muffin pans with pam using pre cooked sausage or bacon.. mix together with 5 beaten eggs add mushrooms, onion, peppers divide evenly into muffin cups sprinkle with cheese bake for 20 min or until egg is set (makes 6) i made a bunch and froze them.. to nuke in the mornings |
Curly - I made the same thing but with different fillings. I don't like peppers or onions so I used zuchinni, canadian bacon and cheese. There are so many options. I made 9 and dh ate 4 the same day. I had 2 left over for breakfast this morning.

I lost two pounds. Yep, went back to TOPS
I exercised A LOT with my sister, showered and went shopping and running around with Pooh Bear. We went to a few thrift stores and you'll never believe what I bought. I found a pair of sneakers with push buttons on the sides that pop wheels out! Yeah, roller skate/sneakers. Look brand new and only ten bucks! I also found some more ankle weights for my weighted vest (although Pooh says he thinks it's a belt). Then at Goodwill, I found two more exercise tapes, comedy DVD's for fifty-nine cents a piece. And then, in Walmart, I bought a set of ten pound weights and a set of five pound weights AND Hoola-hoop! :lol: I have no idea why I bought that, but I think it might be some "fun" exercise. Oh and I lost two pounds at TOPS. Yeah, I decided to go after all. I guess I sort of glossed over that. I LOST TWO POUNDS!
I allow myself one meal of my choosing after weigh in. This time was Applebee's. I didn't get much in me before I was uncomfortably full, but had a few bits of Jay's triple chocolate cake mess. Well, I ended up terribly sick and actually had to make an emergency stop at my office. Not a good end to a good day. But once home, I felt much better and decided to call my sister (yeah, the Exercise ****) and see if she wanted to join Jay and I on a leisurely stroll on the rails to trails/trail. Well, it started off innocent enough. I took my new Cabela's walking stick and we were clipping along nicely. It was nearing dark and before we knew it, we were attacked by mosquitoes. BAD! My sister couldn't take it and made a run for it, but I was not only being eaten alive, I started feeling ill, my legs were rubber and I felt weak as if I'd faint. I had to walk as fast as I could to avoid the bugs, but slow enough to keep from collapsing. Ugh. But I started picking blackberries for my turtles and putting them in my Barenaked Ladies ball cap. And that made it all worth while, because there's not a berry one left in the tank. They love them! :s: The coolest part was near the end of the trail when the bats came in to rescue us. They were swooping right at our faces, picking bugs right out of the air that were trying to bite us. I'd never seen so many bats together in one small, confined space, nor swooping THAT close to my face. It was almost unsettling, but they never hit us. Close calls! I think bats are neat. Yeah, I love snakes too. I'm not normal in lots of ways. But that's Da Turtle. I've got at least two bad bites on my hand that are itching and countless ones on my neck and shoulders. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Okay, so my week end went *POOF* and it's gone, I have to get up early and exercise with my sister again and then I have to go back to work. And it's for five days in a row! How am I going to act, having work five days in a row? I made an appointment to get Squeaked spayed. The quickest I could get her in was on Friday. I have no idea how I'll work it, I have to work that day and I work alone, so I can't take it off. But I'm hoping my sister and/or Jay "Pooh Bear" will come through and help me out. Squeak and I BOTH need this for our happiness. Poor thing, it's not her fault she's in heat or piddling on my bed. I've had to lock her out of there and to my knowledge, she's not peed anywhere else, but her litter box. In order to fulfill my goals, I had to chug 64 ounces of water in the last hour or so. But that's what you get when you run around all day and wait until the last minute to get your water in. But it's going down the hatch as I type. I also had coffee, Diet Pepsi (with dinner) and a Crystal Light Sunrise Classic Orange in a 16 fl oz bottle... I just read that it's caffeine free, so it counts towards my water intake. Doing good Turtle. Doing good! |
Ladies, I am NOT having a good day. I went to work this morning, one of the secretaries looked at me and screamed. I have pink eye and I didn't even know it. :mad: Then we had to figure out if I was allowed to see patients in the outpatient office or not. I know I'm not allowed in the hospital with pink eye. No one seemed to know. Finally called infection control, and the answer was NO. So I went over to employee health and got me eye drops and am now home for the day. I was supposed to help cover consults this afternoon because two people are on vacation this week and now obviously I can't do that. Man am I upset. :mad: I also wanted to go to the gym today because I haven't been for two days and I can't really go there either because I'm contagious. My next two days of work may be long and I don't know if I"ll get back to the gym. This is turning into an ugly week. :mad: I'll be glad when Friday gets here.
The baby shower went well. They had food I could eat. I obviously skipped desert and the bread. I tried to estimate the best I could in FitDay and it looks like I stayed within my carb allotments for the day even though I had some canteloupe. Maybe I should call them and let them know I have pink eye today. What a mess! |
Morning my PIC pals. I am still doing well on the diet. I am actually liking it. Everything I have been reading says you will have cravings and get cranky. I have had none of that. Maybe because I was eating healthy before I started this. However Aunt Flo decided to visit today so I am feeling pretty bloated and yucky right now.
Petra - Sorry about the pink eye. I have had it and it is no fun at all. I am so glad they had food you could eat at the baby shower. Try to enjoy your time off. RELAX!!! Hotcup - The bats would have scared me. When I lived in england we used to see them all the time and they freaked me out. Awesome job on your 2 lb lose!!! :cp: Everyone have a great Tuesday. :D |

ahhh....day 2 of TOM. I went to they gym and jogged/walked for an hour and did really well. I'm still on the couch to 5K plan but now I am jogging 8 minutes straight. I'm getting there. After wards, I take a shower there and get dressed but get this, I forgot to bring clean undies and what a bad time of the month to do that. so I was underwearless for 1/2 the day. hee hhee... Curly, those egg things sound great. and what a good idea to freeze them, I am going to have to make some. Hotcup, you walk sounds like some sort of movie scene. I would have freaked out fromt he bats, but at least they were eating the bugs. I wnt to mexico for my sisters birthday and there were all kinds of bats and lizards all over the place and my sister would scream everytime. I'm not that bad but I dont' love em. anyway, congrats on the loss. Petra, Pink eye, yuck! look on the bright side, you get a day off of work right? Can you wear an eye patch and go to the gym? I've never had it but I know it is no good. I hope it gets better and you can get back in to your routine. Mom, good job with the new plan. I'm glad you are liking it. Hi PICs !! Where does the time go... i just realized that I did not post yesterday and now it is 6:00 and just finally getting around to catching up.
Looks like there are a core group of us hanging in there.. hopefully the others will return once the summer is over. Jennie ~ great job getting to the gym, even with TOM. Gotta hate it when you forget your clean undies :lol: You need a new screen name.. Comando Jennie !! What Happened?

Well, it's Hump Day, how is everyone? It's actually my "Tuesday" but I'm still feeling very motivated, hopeful and optimistic. That's sort of out of the ordinary for me. Since I stopped working midnight shift (a little over a year ago now) and switched to my new job, I'm a much happier person. Not the Cranky Turtle I used to be. My old coworkers at the State Police, would probably not recognize me. Not so much a physical difference, but a smile on my face would probably confuse them. I was a very hateful person. Looking back now, it's like a bad marriage. You don't realize how bad it was until you get out of it and get with someone else that treats you better. :lol: I was married to the state police :drill: . :lol: I had a great day food, water and exercise wise yesterday and today should be on track as well. I actually caved and went to buy some pretzels at work, but some Turtle must have eaten ALL OF THEM last week! :devil: Are they really that bad for you? :( I'm sure I'd be better off without them. Well, you all have a great day, I'll check in from work. I've got a bit of house work to do before I exercise and shower. :smug: |

Good day today so far. I am in a really good mood. The weather here finally broke and we are having a nice summer day, not the crazy humidity that we have been having. It was so bad last week that I straigtened my hair with a perm to cut down on the frizzies. Its not stick straight but it definatley is less frizzy. I went to the gym and did only 45 on the elyptical. I been doing these extra long workouts lately because my schedule is pretty flexible right now but in a few weeks, it won't be and I know I won't be able to keep it up. So today I decided that I'll alternate, one day a long work out, one day a short or normal one. So today was my short one. TEB, no comando today, I was fully prepared! I realised after I posted that that it might have been TMI. oh well. Java, yeah, another good day. I don't think pretzels are that bad for you if you watch how many you eat. I always figure they are better than a serving of chips. But I used to eat like 1/2 the bag so I had to stop buying them. Today is a busy day. I have to go to a lunch at my work for the people who are not returning next school year. WE have a really high turn over rate because getting a job with as a teacher in a school gets paid so much more so as soon as people get a chance to go they do. They are getting in Indian food. Yikes, I hope I don't over do it. I'm going to try hard. because, tonight its my moms retirement dinner. AHHHh 2 party type meals in a row. I am going to do ok though, I promise. ttyl Jennie |
I am back!

We had a wonderful time away! I stayed on program for the most part although I didn't count my points, I ate well and got in tons of exercise! The only day I didn't do well was yesterday and I feel it today. I weighed myself this morning at my office and I pretty much am where I was last Thursday. If I didn't gain this week or only lost a little I did well. We had a wonderful time in the Black Hills of S. Dakota. We went to see Crazy Horse, The President's noses, and Flintstone Village. Flintstone was very cheesy but M loved it as well as most of the kids. Our accomidations were great! We loved the cabin with the horses and the KOA that we stayed in. Dave couldn't go horse back riding because of their weight restrictions.(something they don't tell you when you book this) and the lady insulted me and said well you can't go either because you are over 250lbs. Told her nope, she was wrong, I was under that and I had my WW book to prove it. We can understand since most of the horses were small but they should really put something on their website about horseback riding having weight restrictions because I am sure I could of found someone to take us out. Anyway, there was no way in heck I was allowing M to go horseback riding alone with them so I went. Dave took some really great pictures of me on the horse. I look scared to death and was. LOL The ride was great and we were out over 2 hours. We went up to a ridge and looked over. I have to get some of the pictures developed because I took a throw away camera riding. We seen lots of wildlife in the state park and we even went on a mile long hike. Just walking to the potty was a lot of exercise. LOL We even spent the day at the Hot Springs and played on water slides all day. I must of went up and down those steps a million times. I think that is why I wasn't real sore from horseback riding. LOL All and all we had a wonderful time and I am happy to be home in my own bed. I am going to try to post some pictures on M's website over the weekend. Hugs and Blessings, Lisa Wyoming |
