MomX3~ Sorry you lost your post. I've started doing mine in another program and then cutting and pasting. But it takes longer. And I agree with you. We are our worst critics. We should practice what we preach (or cheer).:cheer:
Looking2Lose~ Don't get down on yourself. It is much easier with a partner, but not impossible without. My BF is sometimes an uneasy ally in this battle of weight, but sometimes (okay, MOST times) he's my worst enemy. I hope you find someone that isn't too exhausted, to work out with you. And I hope things are going smoothly in your "cube farm" today on this Friday the 13th. Lisa WY~ Thanks for the welcome. Although I would probably do the surgery again if I had it all to do over, (though it wasn't that much of an "easy way out" for me) I am very glad that my Type II Diabetes was basically "cured" by the weight loss I did manage to have. Too often the surgery is being used now as the quick or dream fix that it's not. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that isn't in extreme danger or at least 200 pounds over weight. Kclay61~ I hope you're just eating up that sweetness from da baby! Will we see photos? Take care and enjoy. :smug: Petra65~ I miss having a dog. We've got bike/walking trails that I'd love to walk a dog on. Sadly, my little dog, Penny died years ago and working full time doesn't allow me enough time to dedicate to a dog. But maybe I can "borrow" a dog to walk. You live near West Virginia? :lol: Anyone I missed .. I apologize. I got up a little earlier than I wanted today. Between my cat, Squeak and the sun, I just wasn't allowed to sleep in. I've done laundry and dishes this morning. Put away all my uniforms :drill: (save the one I have to wear for a commencement ceremony on Sunday ... my day off ugh), and I made some really good tuna salad with fat free Mayonnaise and some funky mustard I found at Big Lots. Now I just have to decide what exercise to do for the day. I did Tae Bo yesterday and it whooped up on me. Maybe a step tape today. Better go strap the girls down so I don't black my eyes. :faint: I'll read and post more from work. Nothing else to do. Have a great day you wonderful PIC's you! |

this is my day: 6:30 am - wake up, get ready for work. feed Gizmo and Oreo (3 month old chihuahua pups). Drive to work. 8-5p: - at work 6:00 pm - get home.. put freckles (70 pound dalmation) in his kennel (because I dont trust him with the pups yet). then I take the pups outside and let them stretch their legs.. then I take the pups back inside, let freckles loose, make dinner and clean the kitchen or we go out to eat. this is the time that we usually go to the store if we need something. 8:00pm - go walking or do aerobics tape and then walk. 9-9:30pm - we get home 10pm - let the pups run around the house, feed Teddy & Piggy. (our huge ginuea pigs) watch a very little bit of tv while playing with the pups,, 11pm - take a shower, then I get online and lately I've been in bed between 12:30 and 1 am.. then I start it all over again.. I'm trying to get the courage to ask my job to let me go part time.. but I don't think they will go for it.. Hotcupojava: I'm so glad you joined our group.. Congrats on all the weight you've already lost :cp: .. Lisa WY: I'm sorry to hear that your sisters surgery had so many complications.. I wish her well.. and I totally agree.. men just don't think.. looking2lose: I'm so glad that you are always here to make us laugh.. sorry that you've been oversleeping.. but usually when you change your diet and start to excersize it takes a toll on your body and it'll take a couple of days for your body to get used to working harder.. and don't be bummed.. usually every time I go on a diet, my husband eats more of the crap that I love.. one time he made a pecan pie cake and I was doing the Atkins diet.. I COULD HAVE KILLED HIM:rollpin: .. and like you said.. we are here for you.. momX3 : Ohh.. I hate when that happens.. the other night I was like one sentence from being done posting here :comp: .. and I dont know if I clicked something or what, but all of a sudden :yikes: .. BAM!! it was gone.. I was like "no way" :mad: .. and I just really want to thank you for all your encouragement.. I don't mind loosing my butt and boobs, I just didnt want to loose them first. when I was slim.. I was very flat chested and the only good thing about gaining weight was that I got boobs.. now I have to sa "TA TA" to my ta ta's.. lol :lol: .. oh. and about the flower.. Hi Everyone, I'm with you clipclop, I missed a day and missed so much. Things have been hectic as per ussual. I did really well though yesterday. I knew I wouldn't be able to get my workout in so I ate very sensibly. I planned out each meal in the morning. It makes it a lot easier when you don't have to make choices on the spot.
Today I tried to do pilates in the am but my son was very excited he was having a graduation from PreK into Kindergarden today so he was all over the place and was jumping in between my legs and on top of me. any whoo....my mom and dad are taking him for the evening so I can go to the gym after work and get a better work out in. Everyone is doing so well. I am worried about my WI, I have one pound to go and I am at my first goal of 20 and I am getting a pedicure. My feet are soooo bad looking right now I really need it because it is getting warm and I want to wear my flip flops and look cute. I am wearing them to remind my self not to lose control but me feet do not look cute at all! I hope so bad that I lose that pound. I havn't gotten in as much excersise as I would like because i have been so busy at work but I've been keeping with in my points. ahhhh....I'll see on Sunday. keep up the good work. Jennie |

Good Evening!!! Today was a beautiful day in Sunny Wyoming!! After yesterday's snow it warmed up..YIPPEEEEE I am proud, instead of going out tonight like we always do on Friday, I actually cooked dinner. I had some Oriental frozen thingys in my freezer. They were good and very low in fat. Dh even liked them. Sunshine: I love yard sales. We have a big one coming up the first week of June. Our Meals on Wheels has a huge one in the CFD hall. Last year we bought a snow blower for $25.00. I get lots of kewl stuff when I go. I try to go the last day, last hour, because they will give you stuff for almost nothing!! Mary: you made me spit with the strapping down the girls quote. Lucky it was only water or my computer screen at work..would of been messy. I never considered the surgery. I am 100lbs overweight and have lost weight before so I know I can do it. I actually got out my old WW book and I am proud to announce my starting weight is about the same as last time. Dee: Last time I lost weight I lost my boobs first too. My dh at the time wasn't happy..he liked my girls. The last to go is my thighs and arms. I want them to go first. My current dh told me today, you have a great attitude about losing weight. I haven't officially weighed myself yet but I did notice my pants were a little loser this week. My day starts at 5am. I design webpages part time and produce dh's radio show so this is when I fit it in. I shower and dress at 6:30 sharp and get the kid up. She normally takes her breakfast with her to daycare. I have to be at work at 7:30 sharp and I am there until 4:30pm. On Mon/Wed, I take her to the gym after daycare and on Thurs I take her to piano. My only free nights are T/Th but I am changing Sat swimming to one of the those nights. Friday night is family night. Saturday, I have WW at 7, Mallissa has swimming at 9, Ballet at 10 and open gym at noon. Sunday we go to church and Mallissa has choir at 4.... Our lives are full but I am determined to eat right, get sleep and exercise!!! I have to do this for me!!! ClipClop: The kewl thing is we are here when you need us!! Gald you are on program. Keep up the good work. Jennie: I hope you lose that pound. Maybe it is 2 or 3..you never know until you see the scale. Everyone else: have a great night. Tonight is my I can be lazy night. I don't exercise 2 days a week. If I have to adjust this later, I will.. but for now..5 nights is what I think is best. I will check in after WW in the morning. This has been a busy thread in the past 24 hours. I have a big announcement...Drum roll please.........
I got on the scale this morning and it said I lost 2 more pounds! I skipped 9 and went straight to 10. Let's hope this trend continues. I think the difference is that I have been eating fewer vegetables. Also that fitday software has shown me carbs in a few places I didn't know they were sneaking in before. Welcome Java. My name is Mary too. No, I don't live near WV. I live in the Lehigh Valley if you know where that is. I used to live in Virginia so I am somewhat familiar with WV. I have several patients who have had gastric bypass surgery. Some have done well, others not so well. It has been interesting to watch. I do a fair number of the psych evals before surgery. Dee--the older I get, the happier I am that I never got married. LOL Lisa-good luck tomorrow. If I gave you all the impression I am a couch potato, that would not be the case. My biggest problem is that I work too many hours. I'm a psychiatrist so I work like 50-60 hours a week. I literally go to a different office every day and some days I go to more than one office. I'm all over the hospital. Part of my job is to see patients who are on medical or surgical floors but have psychiatric problems. Sometimes I can be so busy at work that I literally don't have time to go to the bathroom or eat. I live in my house by myself with my dogs and there is always something that needs to be done. I also require a fair amount of sleep. I need 8-9 hours a night or I feel like a someone ran over me with a truck. So I try to be in bed by 9:30 on worknights. And I'm about to turn into a pumpkin now so I better get going, although I have off this weekend. Talk to you all tomorrow. |

Hi everyone, its a two post day for me. My parents have my son tonight and I don't know what to do with my self. I should go out and have fun but then I would rather be able to get up early tomorrow and work out before I go to work so I'll just stay in and relax, by my self....
Lisa, omg, your life sounds like mine. I'm a single mom with a full time job and a small business on the side. So I am always on the go. But I will not let my son suffer because of that so he is on t-ball, soccor, takes art classes, what ever it takes to keep him busy and happy. Its crazy most of the time, but I just decided that I have make my weight loss a priority. even if I can't squeeze in as much excersise as I like to lose fast, I can watch what I eat and lose slowly. Last summer, I weighed about what I weigh now so some time between Spetember and December (when I went back to WW), I gained 20 pounds!!! That is just not healthy and not acceptable for my self. I totally didn't see it happen either. One day I just woke up and since nothing fit, I said I wasn't going to take being busy as an excuse for being fat. I don't care how long it takes I just don't want to gain again. So I've lost 19 pound in 5 months but that is so much better than gaining that I am happy. Sorry for that rant, sometimes I have to remind my self how commited I am to keep my self commited. Anyway, I had a good day. I had bagel sandwich for lunch, hummus, not cream cheese, so not to many points in that one. Then I went to an art opening and they had wine and cheese and the whole bit but I just had a few grapes and one glass of wine. For dinner I had a really nice salad, no bread or anything and I split a desert with 2 friends. So all in all, a good day. Plus after work I did get to the gym and did the ellyptical for 60m inutes. that always makes me feel good. Keeping my finers crossed for my WI. I hope every one has a good weekend. I'm pooped.. I did not excersize or walk today.. I rested.. and my walking partner has a sick baby.. 12 minutes till cheat day.. but since I didnt get off my but today, i plan to excersize tomorrow.. It is now 10:30 on Friday night and I am just sitting down to catch up on all the threads that I have missed over the past few days. This board is getting really busy.. that is awesome :D Normally I would try to catch up with everyone, but I think at this point I will just say.... Other than that I will have my head in my school books all weekend. I am currently working full time and taking school at night. I am studying to take my accounting designation entrance exam next summer.. so the next 12 months are going to be hectic...although I do have 2 months off during the summer :dizzy: Well I better go get some sleep. I couldn't believe how many people were at the meeting this morning!! There was about 40 people on a Saturday morning!! I am pumped! Ate breakfast after I got home and came here to post! Today we are having a BBQ at our house. My stepson is coming over with his wife and 2 kids. My sis in law and family. I have already decided I will eat mostly veggies and fruit! Well, going to be a busy day. Mallissa has swimming, dance and open gym today. She will be gone most of the morning and afternoon. I get 3 whole hours to myself to clean and go to the grocery store. I got sick of hearing my self whine :bb:and got back to my house work. I'll simpy have to try a gazillion times harder, do something entirely different or give up. Giving up isn't an option (I'm not suicidal!) So I have two choices left. :ebike: :dancer: :strong: :tread: But right now... I'm going to get back to my house work until noon or 12:30 so I can exercise then shower for work. I'm back in uniform tomorrow (yeah, my day off) and I'm wondering if that dumb smokey da bear hat :drill: is going to fit over this clump of hair. I'm trying to grow it back out and it's being unruly. I guess I'd better figure that out today, I may have to chop at it a bit to make it fit under that dumb hat. Hip hip everyone. Hi everyone. I've had a really busy day. Lots of laundry, and shopping, and yardwork, and stuff like that. I got to hang my laundry out on the line which for some strange reason I actually enjoy. I also bought an interesting book today about Low Carb Diets. It reviews all the diets and the science behind them. I may actually switch the plan I'm on to make my life a little simpler and maybe improve my weight loss results after reading all this. At the back of the book, he reviews websites and even mentions this one. He has lots of positive things to say about the website even though it isn't "low carb" per se, but you can get reliable low carb info here. One thing that really stood out from this book for me is where he talked about refined sugar carbs being almost like a drug for some people like alcohol is for alcoholics. I think I am probably one of those people. We always have sweets in the office because drug reps bring them in--candy, cookies, donuts, you name it. Before, I used to feel like they were calling my name. Now, I don't even want them anymore. I'm actually afraid to eat them again because I'm afraid if I start I won't be able to stop and maybe that's not a bad thing. There was lots of other good stuff in the book but I know I'm the only low carber on the thread so I won't rant.

Well I made it through the day. Even with the parties. I just ate healthy before I left and turned down everything (including cake:( ). I did eat some fruit at the shower though and it was really good. Maybe my tastes are starting to change. Although dh brought home pizza last night and I almost caved :devil:. Instead I ate half of a pepperoni and was fine with my healthy choice dinner :smug: .
petra - go to user cp on the top of the page (left hand side ) under setting and options click on edit signature it will walk you through it. You can also go into edit avatar if you want some kind of picture. I think you are right about the sugar carbs I always used to tell my dh that I was addicted to ice cream :^:. Must be the weekend.. not too many posts. I just poured a :coffee: so thought I would check in with you all before I start the day. Went to a BBQ last night and did alright. You know how BBQs can be.. either lots of good choice or lots of bad choice.. unfortunately what you think are good choices often add up in points real quick. Oh well.. I still had all my flex points from the week, so I didn't do too bad.. LISA ~ Great Job.. so proud of you !!! :cp: Don't forget to give yourself a flashy flower. Sounds like you have a real busy WW meeting. I use to attend meetings and there was generally only about 15 people at them.. sounds like you have found a good one. Hope your BBQ went well and that you enjoyed the time that you had to yourself (although cleaning and grocery shopping aren't much fun!) MOMX3 ~ good job on making it through your parties ! Sounds like you were able to make some good food choices and well done on staying away from the :jeno: ! So listen to this.....dh has the tail end of a wicked cough and decided to stay up late last night watching tv. I, on the other hand went to bed at 10:30 exhausted. Just before going to bed, I said to dh.....I'll let you sleep in and won't wake you when going to church. Okay he said. I get back from church around noon, and he said..."thanks for not waking me....geesh, you wouldn't know it from the open blinds and curtains!!" I said what time did you wake up?....11:30 he said. And thats NOT sleeping in? God I was soooo pissed off at him!!! Meanwhile, I got up at 8, did my routine stuff, got the boys ready, went to church all the while doing my best to follow along while seperating them.....and THAT'S THE THANKS I GET? GRRRRRRR

I did ok at the BBQ yesterday. My stepson and family came over right when I got home picking up Mallissa. My sis in law and family were LATE as usual. LOL I forgot to tell them 3...when I wanted them at 4..... and my niece didn't show up until almost 5. I used my points yesterday..I sure did. LOL Last week, before I started going to the meetings, I wasn't sure how many points I got. I actually get 6 more a day plus the 35 "extra" you get for the week. I didn't go over so I shouldn't beat myself up. But I did have to chase Skyler around so I probably washed some of them out. LOL Today, because it is our lazy day, although we are giving my stepson and wife a break by watching the girls. Daughter in law was in a car accident last week, the airbag bruised her and my stepson had a hernia and they operated Friday. We enjoy having the girls around. I did go to Once Upon A Child (used retail children's store) and got all 3 of the girls some clothes. I love it there...they have some great bargains and some pretty nice clothing. I bought the baby about 8 things, Sklyer about 6 and Mallissa about 6 and didn't spent $50.00. Most of the clothes were almost new and some of them were new. I am having problems getting my water in. URGGGG. I am only about 1/2 way there and normally I would have drank all my water plus. I took the girls to the park today. I wanted to walk around a bit but we didn't have the stroller. So I told Mallissa we would go back later this afternoon and I didn't get to the pool like I wanted. Well, there is always a walk or the stair stepper. LOL But I am sure I expend tons of energy trying to get all 3 in the van. OMG, it is so hard strapping them in and out!!! Angel: Men don't think, that is why I have the girls today. LOL Dave volunteered us. My question is..when do I get a break??? One day I will tell everyone more about our situation with my family and you will understand why we allow no one to watch Mallissa unless we hire a babysitter. Clipclop: I did have fruit and no fat ruffles at my BBQ. I did eat my fruit when most were eating the turtle cake. LOL No one noticed that the Ruffles were no fat until they saw the bag.. I couldn't tell the difference. I went light on them anyway. I did have some cole slaw(bad, bad, me on my burger) and I had some potatoe salad but not a ton. I guess we need to do this every once in a while. Mox3: Good job with the pizza. I probably would of ate a whole piece and had some salad or fruit. I don't do frozen dinner well. Great Job!!!! Mary_java: I hate hats..Luckily, I don't have to wear one for work. I look horrible in hats... Mallissa looks great in hats but won't wear on for the world. LOL Even when she was little. Don't beat yourself up...You CAN DO IT!! Sometimes we just have to think outside the box. Everyone else: I hope I didn't miss too many..have a great rest of the weekend. Hi ladies. I'm having a pretty good day. The weather started out cloudy but cleared up. I'm going on a camping trip next month and haven't been camping since I was a girl scout (about 30 years ago). My friend who was here last weekend (and cleaned out the refrigerator) is a camper so he went to the camping store with me and made a checklist of all the stuff I need for my trip and today I went and got some stuff. I think once I have the stuff I may go more often. I live pretty close to the Pocono Mountains, if anyone has heard of them, so there are plenty of places to go camping nearby. I would especially like it if I could take my boys--Buddy and Kobe.
Speaking of which, I took my boys on a nice 45 minute walk and they were pooped when we got back. Poor Buddy who is 7 and has had a lot of health problems, got in the house and plopped himself on the floor. Even my lab who is usually hyper was worn out. I've been doing some more reading on low carb dieting. Soon I will be the low carb goddess, LOL. Also, trying to refine my eating plan. Fortunately, I'm also a pretty good cook. I think I am going to switch to Protein Power as it seems to fit my lifestyle a little better and will allow me to eat some good quality carbs (high fiber fruits and veggies). It won't be a major switch from what I'm doing either. I'll let you know how it works out. Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. Sorry about the husband problems but like I said, I'm happier being single with every passing year. |

I'm not sure when I wil have time for the pedi, maybe tuesday. Lisa, I love once upon a chld, I sell my sons sutff there all the time. Petra, the camping sounds fun. I've been thinking of going I used to go a lot when I was kid with my parents (they were hippie types) are you going to be hikeing too? ClipClop, BBQ are the worst for me. I am such a grazer and its hard for me to stop. I'm sure you did better than I would have. Deerod, How was the cheat day? Angel-eyes, men are nuts at times and so inconsiderate hotcup, I might have missed it in one of your other post but what is the uniform that you are returing to? and everyone else, I hope you have a good weekend and I can't wait to read your updates. It is so great to lose weight!!!! I am pumped. I have my little weight watchers information in my purse and counting my points. I know I can do this!! Although this weekend was not the best in the world, I always do better during the week. I miss having meetings on Monday. LOL I knew then I couldn't cheat at all on the weekends and still manage to lose weight. Now, I go on Saturday morning so I can blow it on Saturday and think in my mind I can be ok. Actually last night I counted the points of what I ate during the weekend and it actually wasn't horrible. I was within my point range but the foods I picked..I am sure weren't the best in the world. But I did only take small portions of them so I think I am ok. I did manage to get my exercise in. I took Mallissa and Skyler to the park and we walked around the lake. It was a beautiful day and felt great to be in the outdoors. We do have another BBQ in 2 weeks at my sis in laws.. I am hoping someone brings the fruit. LOL I am going to try to make cole slaw this week with low fat mayo and 1/2 the sugar and if it passes the "dh" test..I will take it with me to the BBQ. I love coleslaw during the summer and even use it on my burger. Points wise it is not horrible as potato salad. LOL Petra: I love to camp. My ex and I would do it every year in the Smokey Mountains. Now I live in the Rocky Mountains I don't camp. LOL Dave's idea of camping is an RV. We thought about renting one for our trip to South Dakota this summer but then again..I love being in a hotel. LOL It is only 8:30 and I have gotten 1/2 my water in already. :-) At lunchtime I am running to the grocery store to restock at work. Need to get some veggies. I bought some fat free mayo..but left it at home :-( I have been eating mustard on ham sandwiches and it is not too bad. I have to have variety or I go nuts. LOL Maybe it is the ADHD in me. Hi girls. Today I am in 'super clean mode', after the garage sale packup...there is still alot of things that I didn't include in the sale that need to be put away and then theres the never ending pile of laundry that I didn't get to!! LOL lucky me.
Congratulations to the losers this weekend. I did a 'maintain' today, so I'm hoping to get back into the gym mode and to get some more fibre into me...**wink wink** Gosh, what a problem not enough fibre can do to your constitution!! (nice subject huh?) LOL Petra.......We are also going camping for the first time in 20years, Memorial weekend. I am sooo clueless about it also. We are going with some new friends (since moving to this area) so I hope we'll have a great time. KClay......How is the wee baby and new mom doing? Congratulations Gma!! Any pics to share yet? Lisa.........good for you with the water guzzling!! It certainly makes a difference. Sounds like you did fine at the bbq. I have another salad/dessert thing you can make. Its with ff cool whip, mandarin oranges, pineapple and marshmallows and something else.... I'll find it for you....its called 5Cup Salad. You'll love it, nice and whippy and easy on the points. I think I'm going to have to do something about my goal because I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed right now with such a large number. I want to be able to go out on my boat this summer in a bathing suit which I'm not going to do now. I want to wear shorts which I'm not going to do now. I want to wear a tank top which I'm not going to do now. Sorry ladies I'm just very tired today :tired: and not on my game. And on top of it all I was trying to have a panic attack on the way to work:mad: which makes me feel like s:censored:t all day. I have been really busy, and I still am.. we are having our housewarming party this Sunday, and my sister who is supposed to be throwing it for us has done nothing.. Hello everyone! I was told this was a great place to hang out! Momx3 thought I might like it here. I was skimming through SOME of the posts (there are only about 1,000,000,000 posts in this support group :dizzy: ), but I hope to get to know all of you by visiting here everyday.
You all seem to be so motivated and have a clear vision of your goal to lose weight. Even when things don't go quite as well as expected. I introduced myself the other day in "Buddy Up" and thought I'd try to make myself at home. I sincerely believe that support is HUGE in trying to lose weight. Glad I found this place. :) name: Laurie location: MN age: 37 sex: Female marital status: Married highest weight: 221 current weight (last weigh in): 221 (at MD office on Friday, but my scale says 214) :?: goal weight: 145 current clothing size: 18/20 in pants goal clothing size: 8/10 kids: Boy 15, girl 9 pets: 2 wonderful cats diet (currently on or planning to start): Low fat, low cal I want to still be able to eat some of the things I enjoy. I have dieted before and deprived myself of some of the more "bad" foods only to end up failing again and again. This time I think exercise is the key for me, as well as choosing the more healthy foods. I think it sounds like a good plan. I hope it works out for me this time. I'm tired of being depressed about a problem I can fix. |

Hi everyone. Today was my first real day trying to follow Protein Power and I did pretty well. I met my protein and carb allowances. I didn't quite meet the fiber recommendation but it is pretty high--25 grams. I only got 13 grams. Interestingly, this is the lowest fat day I have had since I have been tracking my food on Fit Day so maybe I am on to something nutritionally.
Welcome to Annie. It is nice to have another health care professional. I am an internist and psychiatrist but really only practice psychiatry anymore. These are a great bunch of ladies. I think you will like it here. |
I'm so excited. Last Thursday I had the kids picture taken and I wanted you ladies to see it so bad so I took a picture with my digital camera and it is in my profile. It is not as good as the original but you can see them. They are so beautiful and I love :love: them so much that I just had to share them with all of you, my friends.

Petra65-Maybe you should try eating some Jicama according to the Dr. Phil food guide 1 cup gives you 6g of fiber high on carbs though 11g :( and 46 calories but it's pretty good :D squirt some lemon on it and you have a tasty snack ;) WOW I'm so proud on how much weight everyone is loosing :cp: Doesn't it just pump you up :cheer: MoonRay |
