Hi ladies,
Ok, well I gave in to the emotional/stress eating monster yesterday. :eek:Things have been really awful at work lately. There has been a lot of back stabbing and gossiping. I am a very emotional person and I always say how I feel to the person first. Last week it went to far and I couldn't take it so I told my co-worker how I felt and how her gossiping was hurting me (the person she was gossiping to was actually trying to get me fired in defense of her ) and her only explanation for it all was that she felt I didn't like her. come on, that doesn't give you a reason to bad mouth a person. so she felt uncomfortable talking to me directly, so we had to have a mediation. It actually went well. We have been working for 2 years together and she has never said anyting to my face but a lot behind my back. so it was good to actually hear her say things. But it made for a very draining day. So I went home and all that was at home was left overs from mothers day so I had a spinach and whole wheat pasta salad meal, not that bad but not a balanced meal by any means, then I broke into the left over cake, ahhh too much cake. I eventually had to just pitch the rest in the trash because I couldn't stop. I still journaled it all and wrote down the points and I was over my daily points but not my flex points. Today is a new day, I finished my looming work that has been bogging me down for weeks last night(I make clothes) and shiped them out this morning. I also got up and did pilates, I was going to do a cardio tape but I just wasn't awake enough for that. Today I am going to be totaly on points with my food and make sure I have a good balanced meal. Looking2Lose- 3 pounds!!! :cp: that is great. Lisa - Welcome ClipClop - keep up with the WW, that is what I am doing and it really helps me out. I tried to do it on my own but I just couldn't. I think I need the structure. Petra- I definatley agree, something is up, if its not the moon, its something else. it seems like everyone around me, is a little off.... Momx3- good job going to curves, I love the feeling of excersising, it keeps everthing in perspective for me. I eat veitmanise food a lot and I the chicken and things I get are always grilled so I figure they can't be to many more points than just plain chicken, they just have those good seasonings on them. I screw my self up at the restraun though, getting the spring rolls (the not fried ones) which arn't bad by them selves, all fresh veggies, but I love the sauce and i'm sure it has a lot of sugar in it. kclay - I hope that baby comes soon. I was a week past my due date and it was miserable. but my midwife told me to drink castor oil and with in 2 hours, I was in labor and it only lasted about 3 hours. things we kind of messy and gross afterward but, if its not coming, that is always an option. Deerod - hows it goiong have you recovered from the buffett? I would have totally pigged out, it sounds like you did good. Hi to anyone I missed, and I hope everyone has a good day. Jennie |
I just thought of a new motivational tool for myself. It is quite funny actually. Considering that putting on a pair of pantyhose for work in the morning is turning into a 30-minute workout in itself (if not creating a new demented type of yoga), and if I wear knee-highs under a skirt, my pudgy knees pop over the tops of the hose and then my legs look like gigantic shitaki mushrooms...Hence, I would like to put on pantyhose in less then a minute without breaking a sweat, and look like I am wrestling with 2 conjoined eels!! Have a little chuckle all. Take care. ~Hugs~

hi everyone.. I'm sooo sorry I didnt check in yesterday, but I was swamped at work, and as soon as I got home my hubby was soo anxious to go get his generic bow flex out of lay away from walmart and since we were there I decided to get a tv for our room (since I took the one from there and put it in an empty spare room to play my excersize tapes on) and we needed a lawn mower.. we ran out of time so we ate at jack in the box, I got 2 chicken fajita pitas which only have 10 grams of fat each and an orange juice.. my totals for yesterday were
fat=25 calories=1325 kclay61: good job about maintaining.. remember.. "it's better to stay the same than to gain".. I hope that baby comes soon.. I'm anxious to hear all about him.. momX3: good job going to curves.. you're choice of food sounds yummy.. the only things I found in my book were under Vietnamese cari (curry) chicken w steamed rice 1 cup = 29 g fat / 650 calories hope that helps.. petra65: I use to have a friend that would always eat all the food in my fridge.. oh wait.. that was me.. :o  ClipClop: awesome job on WW.. and Im so proud of you for resisting those things.. Lisa_WY: Welcome to PIC.. and it sounds to me like you did a wonderful job on your first day back.. looking2lose- YAY!!, :cb: :cp: great job on loosing those 3 pounds.. (Dun du da).. :queen: You are the PIC diva of the day..!! jennie934: Im sorry to hear things are going crazy at work.. just remember that we are all here for you.. ~~Sunshine~~: WOW!!.. that is great news.. (dun du da) :queen: Looks like we have 2 Divas for the day.. keep up the good work sorry to run so quickly, but Im of to lunch.. I'll check back with you all tonight have a great day.. and keep up the great work.. |
Hey everyone :)
Just checking in! Congrats to all of you who have lost weight!! :bravo: I cheated this weekend with a couple of cookies but that's it I worked out for 30 min yesterday and am hoping to do it again today :D I have to say I feel good so far, I cut out some of the fat and calories and I don't eat after 7pm. I'll find out on Thursday if I've lost any weight and depending on that I will modify what I'm doing if nessesary. :goodluck: good luck to all!!! MoonRay |
Hi ladies - I did my old sweatin' to the oldies tape with Richard Simmons today. I got a watch so I can keep track of my heart rate, calories etc. for mothers day and I used it when I did the tape today. Let me tell you I had to slow down a few times because my heart rate was to high. I guess Richard Simmons can still make my heart beat fast  .
Clipclop - Im glad to see your first day on WW went well and I hope the second was just as successful. Keep it up. Lisa - Welcome to the site. Glad you made it :high: Lookintolose - 3 lbs. WOW:cp::cb::cp:. That incredible. Glad your into even numbers ;) . Jennie - I'm sorry to hear about you problems at work. That is so stressful especially since you have to be in that situation 5 days a week. I hope things have been cleared up. If not let us know and we will all go kick her *** . You have the right attitude about getting back on track. Good for you. Moon - Be sure and let us know how things go on Thursday with the weigh in and don't worry about the cookie you are doing so awesome you deserve a treat every once in awhile. :cookie: Sunshine - Great job!! I can't imagine being 24 lbs lighter. You must feel wonderful. Keep it up :cheer: Dee - It's o.k to miss 1 day just don't let it happen again :nono: . Thanks for looking up the stuff on the food for me. I guess it does'nt really matter how many calories at this point because I'm not giving it back  . Everyone have a fabulous night. |
Howdy Everyone!
I did well today! I have decided to go to WW at 7:00am on Saturday.. That seems to work best for our schedule. I ate well to day. Actually, I have trouble eating all the food that WW requires. I guess that is not a bad thing. I did eat all my fruit and veggies today. Didn't eat a lot of meat.. but I did eat breakfast.>YEA FOR ME! That is my most troubled part is eating breakfast. I didn't eat Fruit Loops either.... I also dusted off the ole stair stepper.. Our weather turned cool again :-( I hate springtime in Wyoming. We are going to get the "S" word tomorrow!! YUCK! I also found out that I have a ski machine in my back room too. LOL I forgot about it. Too bad I sold my threadmill. Oh well, I probably will pick up another one at a garage sale this summer. This week I will cheat a little and weight myself at work on the bathroom scale to determine my weight loss since I won't start WW until Saturday. Hope everyone had a good day. Thanks for the warm welcomes. Lisa Wyoming |
Hello everyone!! hope you all had a great day.. I'm pretty tired so this is gonna be rather short..
MoonRay: don't worry about the cookies.. I just read in a book called "the truth" that cheat days actually help you lose weight because after you diet for so long, your body gets used to eating a certain way and your metabolism slows down, and if you incorporate a cheat day or cheat meal it tricks your body and re-starts your metabolism.. so those cookies are actually good for you.. :dizzy: momX3: You go girl.. you are too funny maybe its those short - shorts that make your heart race.. :s:  .. Richard Simmons kicks my but.. I just dont have enough energy to keep up with him.. I do Fat Burning for Dummies.. at first it seems too hard, but you learn all the moves and then you start to remember them like dance moves.. keep up the great work Lisa_WY: More power to you.. I am not a morning person.. and I give you "props" for making the effort to wake up at 7am on a Saturday.. isn't it a great feeling to say, I'm not eating enough?.. I also have a problem with breakfast.. thats why I drink shakes on my way to work (convinence).. I just realized that protein powder mixes have even less fat than the slim fast shakes.. (my husband just bought some because he's trying to beef up) I havent tried them yet, but I'll let you know how they taste. alright ya'll I hope you have a great evening.. I'm off to take a shower.. oh yeah, I forgot. my totals for today: f=22.5 calories=1035 (walked 2 miles) *** 7 more days till weigh day *** |
Hi ladies,
quick check in. I was feeling so bloated and gross last night. I didn't get a chance to eat dinner at a normal hour so I kind of pigged out on 2 slices of pizza. not a true binge or anything but it didn't leaving me feeling good. I think I have written this like 10 times. I realy need to make it a priority to eat on time and not get so hungry and short of time that I eat someting junky. Any way, I got up early and did my step reebok tape. got my heart pumpin this moring. I love Richard Simmons too. His tapes are so fun. I need to find mine and dust them off. I love it in the the one when they do the twist and he goes CRAZY! Keep up the good work everyone! gotta get to the daily grind. Jennie |
Howdy Everyone!
Deerod: I am an early riser. My dh is in radio so our house is up early but we are normally in bed by 10pm too except dh who goes to bed at 8pm. I wanted to exercise this morning because I knew it was going to be a crappy weather day. Rain...Rain...and later SNOW! I didn't have time although I got up at 5. I will do it tonight, I will...I will....I will...... Although dh made fun of me last night. I have to tell this story. After I got off the stair stepper and was all rubbery. Mallissa came down stairs and decided to try it out. So she was on it for about 5 minutes playing around and doing fine. LOL Then says to me, Mommy why don't I make that pppppppp sound (my out of breath sound). Dh just laughed.. I told her because mommy was old and smoked and it gives her good reason not to get older or become a smoker. Out of the mouth of babes! Jennie: honestly, 2 pieces of pizza won't kill you. You have to let go and move on and be lucky you didn't eat a 3rd slice. LOL I don't have a problem eating late at night, normally we have dinner at 5:30 and I am not a late snacker so that is not a problem for me. I also let myself have those things that are bad for you once in a while. You have too or you just crave them more and more and then you are out of control. Good luck and hopefully you can get your pedicure soon! I have to find something to reward myself with when I hit the 20 lbs loser. momX3: how does that heart rate thingy work? As far as Richard Simmons..he makes me laugh to much to exercise with him. I don't like videos. I am going to walk, stair step, maybe dig out the ski machine(for crappy days) and get my big butt to the YMCA. During Mallissa's swim class they have water exercise. Anyone else do this? They say it is good for low impact. We have a wonderful YMCA and maybe my reward for after exercising can be to sit in the hot tub. LOL Hope Everyone has a great day, stick to your plan!! Lisa Wyoming |
Good Morning Crime Fighters!!
Hello to all my friends, and  welcome to our new ones. I am going to do some Richard Simmons Move, Groove, & Lose 2nite, but it cracks me up. Not the people, just him. I start laughing, and I'm afraid to pull something :hyper: Anywhoo...I would like to start going to the YMCA. It is about 2 blocks from work. I want to do that Aquacize or whatever their fancy name is for it. I really don't want to go alone. Mentally I have all of you, physically I have the full-size mirror on my bathroom door, but a buddy certainly would help. My friend said she would go with me (buddy up to motivate each other), but she will not wear a swimming suit if her life depended on it...so I have to ask if it is okay for her to wear a T-shirt or something ;)...regardless, I am going to go. I have no shame, I tried on last year's suit that I paid almost $100 for with the little empire waist skirt and it still fits sort of...if I pull it down in the front and show a ton of cleavage my heiny is covered :ink: Thank you for making me PIC diva for the day. That meant a lot to me. You gals keep me goin (and reminding me to drink my water...ugh. I can feel my eyeballs swimming. Take care of yous, ttys. Hugs |
Good Morning Ladies - Hope everyone is having a great day. I have been looking at some other postings and some ladies post :flow1: when they have lost 1, 5, 10 etc. pounds. I think we need that. What do you all think? Maybe every 10 pounds we get a pretty flower?
You guys better quit making fun of my poor boyfriend. He can't help it if he has alot of energy  Lisa - the heart rate thing is a watch that I wear with a band that goes across my chest (I put it under my bra band) then I exercise. It has all of my info height, weight :yikes: , age etc. My heart rate should be between 119 and 156. If I go over it lets me know and I slow down. When I'm done exercising it tells me how long I was in my target heart range, how long I worked out and how many calories I burned. I love it. It is my friend :dizzy: Talk to you all later :comp: |
MOMX3 - I noticed the posting of the 'lost pound twinklies' too. I would like to add that to my sig line. Maybe every 5....cuz I don't think I could handle the anticipation of waiting 7 more pounds for another flower.... :dizzy: !!
Have a wonderful night everyone, I'll be thinking about you. Until tomorrow.... |
Hey girls.... Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. I've felt lost and I need to find my way back to this thread and ww's. It started with TOM and then some family issues I needed to work on and then before I knew it, I had been missing from the gym and here.... for over 2 weeks!! I have been lurking though, and everyone seems to be doing really well. Today is the first day in a long time that I've actually got my water in. What a difference that makes. I could really use some encouragement to get back on the wagon (so to speak). Thanks.

Hello everyone!! Why do I always feel like I eat to much and exercise to little? I usually have cereal with FF milk for breakfast then for lunch maybe a sandwich, FF chips, and FF cottage cheese or a salad then for supper something like Tuna helper and potatos and veggies all made with FF milk and FF butter! Maybe some sherbet for dessert. I usually ride my sationary bike 2 miles sometimes 4 miles then do 20 crunches, 20 leg lifts per leg and then walking (treadmill) and nordiac rider and weights for 30 minutes total and then at night maybe a walk which is 30 minutes! So what do you all think? Do I need more exercise and less food? I know I have been losing but for some reason I am just scared to death I might gain a pound back!

Hi everyone. Welcome Lisa, Wyoming. Work continues to stress me out. I need a vacation! I'm going to a conference in about 10 days so I just have to hold on until then. I'm experimenting with that fitday software. It is very interesting. I don't think they calculate the fiber in your food and they certainly don't calculate net carbs. Does anyone else use it? If so what do you think?

GDay Partners !! Finally I am getting a minute to sit down and post. I started school again last night.. so yesterday was a pretty hectic day.

Hope I got everyone...... Well I am off to do some homework and figure out dinner. Have a great evening/day and I will talk to you all soon !! |
Howdy Everyone
I did well today. Did get in my water, ate pretty good. Since I started eating breakfast I am starved by 10:30. I did hit the hunger pangs with carrots but I wanted something more that would stick I didn't do as well on exercise. My thighs hurt from last night and I gave up in about 10 minutes(also I had to help Mallissa with piano homework) but my stair stepper is calling my name..so I probably will climb back on in a few or drag out the ski machine. Maybe during American Idol. LOL Dh makes me parnoid staring at me so hopefully he will go to bed in a few. Sunshine: If it is working for you stick with it. I do know you can't cut too many calories and food from your diet. You can always exercise more but you have to have a balance. If you don't have balance you might do more harm than good. Angel: Jump back on the bandwagon. We all fall and we are all here to pick you up. I got my water in too..I actually feel better when I do. Although I can't be far from the bathroom...today my eyes were swimming while waiting for Mallissa to finish gym. Finally I gave up and went in and went potty. LOL Momx3:I might need one of those heart thingys. Was it expensive? Looking2Lose: I think I am going to go to the YMCA's waterobics. This Saturday might be a little tough to do because I would only get 30 minutes during swim lessons and we have ballet afterwards and it is the dress rehearsal. I really need to check into other classes for swim lessons. I wish they were longer than 1/2 hour because I could really work out if they were an hour. I guess I will have to see the schedule for the summer to determine more. Moonrod: I hope you are a loser tomorrow and I mean that in a good way. Petra: Thanks for the welcome! I have heard of the software but haven't tried it yet. I think WW has a thing on their website that I can sub to that will keep track of stuff for me. Everyone else: Hope you are having a good day! Lisa Wyoming PS..will someone take my snow?? I want to be able to walk outside!!!!!! |
Just letting everyone know, my new grandbaby has arrived - he showed his beautiful face at 3pm today. Mom and baby(daddy too)are doing fine - tired but very happy.

Easy way to get my fruits and vegetables
My method of becoming more healthy is to eat more fruits and vegetables which doesn't leave me as much room or time for nervous eating. Surprise, it doesn't really work well to buy them and leave them in the refrigerator. So this week I started a large plastic bag of fruit salad and a large plastic bag of cut up vegetables to add to lettuce. Then I made myself of schedule of when I'd eat each. It's working for me. ;)
|
hi ladies.. sorry if this is short but I just wrote a whole bunch of stuff and somehow I erased it.. needless to say i was very upset  . its a little after 12:30 am so I need to get to bed..
jennie934: It's ok.. 2 slices of pizza arent gonna hurt you, unless you eat them everyday.. Lisa_WY: great job on getting up and excersizing.. dont worry.. you wont be making that pppppp sound for long.. looking2lose: I use to do water aerobics a couple of years ago.. I loved it.. and it really wore me out.. momX3: the flowers for every 5 pounds is a great idea.. my weigh day is tuesday so I'll find out then if I get any flowers.. (keep ya'lls fingers crossed for me, I'm kinda nervous) angel-eyes: thats ok hun.. we all have had our moments.. we are just glad to have you back.. ~~Sunshine~~: It sounds to me like you are doing a great job.. just make sure to keep track of your calories and serving size.. remember fat free is not calorie free and calories make you gain weight.. ClipClop: I'm soo proud of you for going to school and keeping up with your new healthy way of living.. (dun du da) :queen: you are my PIC CHICK DIVA OF THE DAY.. Lisa_WY: great job...!!! dont worry, in a couple of months your gonna be strutting your stuff in front of you hubby ... kclay61: congrats!! :woo: . that is great news.. I bet its a huge load off of your shoulders.. WELCOME TO THE WORLD :bb: I just want to thank all of you again for making this thread so great.. :yikes:5 days till weigh day:yikes: ,. |
Good Morining Ladies,
much better day yesterday. I was stil crazy busy and had to eat pizza but this time I planned for it. Some days, we have to eat with the students and that is all they feed them. so I brought and apple and only had one piece. I know the two pieces I ate the other night weren't the worst thing in the world its just that is was so late and it made me feel so gross. yuck! I'm planning on takeing my measurements next time I am around my tape measurer. Not sure when that will be but I am starting to notice some of the rolls and bulges disappearing. I didn't want to buy bigger clothes when I was regaining weight so I was squeezing myself into my size 16 when I probably could have used an 18 or a 20. so finally, my clothes are starting to fit. I wouldn't say they are to loose or anything yet but they are starting to fit!!! Lisa_WY: Keep up the excersising, it sounds like you have a whole home gym, I am totally jelouse. I am planning on getting some kind of equipment when I move at the end of the summer. looking2lose: You should try doing the water aerobics. I have heard it is a good work out and fun. I havn't ever tried but anything to mix up the excersise is good in my book. ~~Sunshine~~: I know the feeling of being scared to mix things up for fear of gaining. its hard some times at meal time I look and have such a hard time figureing out what to eat that I eat the same thing like 3 days in a row. if I were you though, I would figure out the calories for like 4 days with different stuff and have sort of a rotaing schedule of food to work from. ClipClop: It sounds like you are getting it all in! good job. I know its hard with a busy schedule kclay61: yeah, a new baby!! what was the name? petra65: I've tried the fitday but I didnt' have the time to put it all in all the time. its pretty neat though how it figures it does the pie chart and stuff for you. deerod: 5 days to WI! I bet you are going to do really well. You have been so motivated and working so hard. angeleyes: Good to have you back. Looking2lose: the twinkles seem like a fun idea in the sig. I'll go of every 5 pound maybe so I can have a lot! Anyone I missed, Keep up the good work everyone and stay motivated! gotta get to work. Jennie |
Good Morning!!!
Howdy Everyone!!
I sure hope guys don't mind me posting twice a day! It keeps me motivated. LOL I did well yesterday. Still wondering why all the hunger pangs at 10:30am?? I know before I would go all day at work without eating and not feel the hunger. The last few days after eating breakfast I am starved. Maybe it is just my body telling me I am doing good. Ate well for breakfast, lunch and snacks, dinner was a challenge. I was hungery but I made myself take my time to eat. I sometimes eat too fast. Dave made porkchops marinated in apple juice. Boxed stuffing but he did put in apples. Actually he baked the porkchops and covered the tops of them with apples. The porkchops were small about the size of a deck of cards. YIPPEEE-1 serving!! I only had 2 spoonfuls of stuffing and 3 spoons full of corn. Did tell Dave to go easier on the butter on the corn. Today is a late night with Mallissa having to go to piano. We are having hotdogs and mac and cheese for dinner. I will add fresh veggies and fruit to mine. I guess 1 hotdog and 1 serving of mac and cheese can't kill you. LOL Sort of like the pizza..in moderation!! Oh the stair stepper was calling my name, I got back on last night for about another 10 minutes but my thighs are killing me. Jennie: Planned pizza is so much better. LOL A few years ago I picked up a lot of my exercise equipment at our big summer garage sale. I went on the last day during the last hour and got a treadmill, bike, stairstepper, ski machine and rowing machine for $25.00 for all. I sold the treadmill for $50.00. LOL I have most of it in my back storage room but I think I loaned my stepdaughter the bike. I used to have them set up but they collected dust in the playroom in my basement and when we got Mallissa...I have to move them so she wouldn't get hurt. I would rather go outside and walk or ride bikes with her. I will probably use them more next winter with our weather getting warmer.(I hope) I have to eat route too...not for dinner but breakfast and lunch. I tend to have the same thing over and over again. I need variety but since I have to bring my food to work..I tend to eat one or two things all week. Deerod: Mallissa was teasing me last night about the ppppp sound again. LOL She said mommy, look how fast I can go on the stair stepper. I was struggling to do it for 5 minutes. BRAT OH Well...she is 5..what can I say. I don't know if I could go that long without weighing in. I need instant gradification. LOL Clipclop: Going to school and getting exercise in. WOW for you!! I am impressed. Anything possible as long as I have my schedule. Kclay: congrats on the new baby!! 125by65: That is a great way to get the veggies in. I am actually looking forward to going to the grocery store this weekend. I want more variety. Moonrod: we want results. LOL Crossing fingers that you were a big loser today. LOL Everyone else: Have a great day and check in with us!! Lisa WYoming |
Morning PICS - I hope everyone is well this morning. This has to be short because I am taking my kids to have their picture taken this morning. I Love Pictures.
Lisa - post as often as you like :) . Sounds like you are doing great!! I'm not sure how much it was my husband got it for me for mothers day. Go to your local fitness store and I'm sure you can find one. Also Avon had the curves one last week for $29.99. Good Luck. Jennie - way to go on the clothes feeling looser :cb:. Dee - Let's see.. if we are going to do a flower for every 5 lbs lost and you have already lost 8 (8-3=5). Yes I'm right...give yourself a flower. That goes for anyone who has lost 5 lbs. 125 - Yeah it sucks that you actually have to eat the fruits and vegtables. I laughed my a:censored:s off at that one. kclay - so glad Cameron is here :bb: :gift: :woo: You must be on:cloud9: . Angeleyes - welcome back :D |
Well, 2 more pounds and I get some flower, I guess we'll see on Monday :dizzy: I haven't been doing so good. I ate pizza last night (jennie ;) you have self control, maybe it will rub off on me) as I ate and had none. Okay, I binged, then I had the worst gutrot ever! :tantrum:
~kclay~ CONGRATULATIONS on your new grandbaby. :woo: ~Lisa_WY~ Welcome to the group, sorry I have not been in to do that, and I already did and forgot about it...my apologies :sorry: ~momX3~ great idea with the flower :flow1: . Earning that little sparkly is going to get my behind movin! ~angeleyes~ Very nice to meet you, its great to see you are back. I fell of the train and didn't care what I ate, what I looked like, and nobody around me said anything at all, until I said something to myself after a year of sittin on the pitty'pot, then I found all these gals, and now i'm not alone anymore. ~Sunshine~: I think you are doing great by keeping track and getting your exercise in. Hang in there. It will pay off. ~ClipClop~ You are definitely one heck of a committed gal. KUDOS DIVA!! ~Dee~ Don't you fret. You will earn your flowers. You've planted the seeds, and hanging strong. I believe in you - ALL OF YOU! ~125~ I wish veggies would cut themselves. I am going to take your advice and get them all ready to grab outta the fridge. Great job! ~petra~ I have been trying out fitday also. I don't like that it does not count fiber or sugar, but at least it motivates me to calculate things and gives me info on things. I like that I can compare different items. I have found some choices of better foods that I wouldn't even have thought of. I'm on the fence, but so far its all right. ~Jennie~ Post as much as you would like. Sometimes I post like 3 or 4 times a day. You have a great sense of humor, and are so motivated it makes me want to jog (but I think I would like like sugar free Jell-o bouncing around on the dashboard of a minivan. Have a great day everyone. TTYS. Gotta get back to work, I can hear the clickety-clackety of the shephard of the cubefarm heels. Yowzers :drill: :yikes: Take care, be kind to yourselves. Hugs to all :grouphug: |
Hope everyone is doing great!! I am doing great already got my exercise in and going walking tonight like every night!! Keep up the good work everyone!
kclay61~~ Congrats on the new grandbaby!! How exciting!! |
Hello again - visited mom and baby today - she is weak but feeling much better - Cameron slept the entire time we were there - can't wait to get them home, which will probably be tomorrow.

Just some observations :D I don't eat anything after 7pm but yesterday I ate some strawberries like around 6:30 and noticed that, I don't know maybe it was the carbs in the fruit or something but I was getting hunger pangs at night :( So I won't be having fruit that late anymore!
Oh and Organic cereal ROCKS!! I bought some Kashi organic autumn wheat and it's really good :D Has anyone tried the Diet Snapple ice pops? if so, how are they? MoonRay |
Moonray: WTG girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were a big loser!!!!!!
Sunshine: You rock..exercise twice in one day. LOL I am still trying to survive the stairstepper. Tonight..I am taking Mallissa to the YMCA pool to just swim. She needs the practice and I need the exercise. Kcay: Glad the baby is fine... always better to be home than in the sick place. Looking2lose: Thanks for the welcome. I feel like an old timer now. LOL I don't miss the cube feeling!!! Been there done that. I almost did what Les did on WKRP in Cinni. LOL I wanted a door!!! Momx3: Loved your fruit and veggie quote!!! Ok..got my fruit in today but not enough veggies.... should of had 1 more. Just didn't want anymore. Not a good sign. Will have to buy more this week at the store. Ok..I do ok today. I was underpoints but didn't think I ate right. Must of been the hotdog. LOL My thighs are killing me from the stair stepper so going for variety tonight with the swimming. I hope the pool don't make me hungry. LOL I am looking forward to my weigh in on Saturday morning. NOt sure if I can actually count a loss or not. Since I am not offical on WW yet. I will decide then. I probably will weigh myself at work to see the difference in the scales. Lisa Wyoming |
Moon - OMG!! You Are On Fire :flame:. 9 lbs OMG you said 9 lbs :encore: . I am proud of you my friend you literally worked your *** off  . Keep up the great work. Give yourself a flower girl.
kclay - details, details.... give us the details on your new cutie :bb: . Lookin - Eat the pizza if that's what you want just try not to go too overboard and even if you do just climb right back on. If you deny yourself you could go overboard and never make the climb up. Good luck on your Monday weigh in :goodscale :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Sunshine - you are an inspiration!! Keep up the great work :strong: |
kclay-congrats on the grandbaby! It's about time
Moon-I'm jealous! I haven't lost 9 lbs yet and I've been at this for over 2 months. How did you do that? (I'm teasing) Congrats! You guys have way more energy than I do with all that exercise. Maybe I just work too many hours or something but I get tired just reading about it. Stair steppers, ski machines, water aerobics. I'm lucky if I have time to take my doggies out for a walk. I'm looking forward to the weekend. |
OK, well, hmmm, details - let's see - Dr. put her in the hospital on Monday - she started her on something called Cervidil - then, Tuesday morning, she started her on Pitocin - 5 hours later she was still 1cm - the Dr. then took her off the Pitocin and let her body "rest" for a few hours - she then restarted her on the Cervidil and Pitocin (she called it a 2nd day induction) - Wednesday morning, around 4:30, my son called and asked for me, or my oldest DD, to come to the hospital to sit with his g'friend while he did a few errands - while there she dialted to 7cm - they gave her an epidural and she was in heaven - about 45 minutes later, one side, gave out on the epidural so the anethesialogist came in and gave her some extra meds - she was, once again, in heaven - it was now 12:30pm and she was 8cm - Dr. put in a catheter and BOOM she went to 10cm in no time - she started pushing at 1:30 and Cameron was born at 2:59pm.
He weighed 8lbs 12oz and was 22in long. He has a head full of hair. And seems to be very attentive. Hasn't cried except when the Dr. popped him on the butt. He looks around and makes the cutest faces. He acts like he is trying to talk to us. I have some pics if you want to see. I can copy/paste the URL if it's permitted. |
I never do this
I'm normally a lurker. But I just spent my evening reading all thirteen pages of posts here. This is the greatest group of Chicks I've ever seen on 3FC. I thought I'd seen all the threads. Don't know how I missed THIS one. You guys are great. I feel like I know you all, already. Lookin2lose, you crack me up! And Kclay I'm so happy your little bundle of joy has arrived.
Well, there's a bunch of you I missed. But I basically wanted to say HI to you all. What a great bunch! Good luck to you all. I've been inspired and moved to tears with your threads (both tears of laughter and well, you know..) Thanks for entertaining me while stuck at work. Such great chicks! |
Howdy, All
Ok, Just call me Chatty Cathy. LOL I took Mallissa to the pool. The waterobics class was the same time as open swim. Mallissa let me do a little of it. I mainly stayed in the deep end with her. She is working on confidence in the swimming area. SO I figured I worked just as hard as the water class...if not harder. LOL I did have to take a shower before I went...Umm...I looked at my legs and said...OMG, the hair there is longer than dh's. That is what happens when you live in cold weather....umm..u want the hair to keep you warm. LOL We had a great time and I probably can move her lessons to T/TH and work out and then enjoy the pool after her class. I LOVED THE HOT TUB. Did make my thighs love me for a while. LOL Yup..I think this is going to work. I had to laugh in the locker room. Mallissa was starving after swimming. I was good and only drank water. The ladies that did the water class were talking about how hungry they were and they were going for ice cream. Ok, the old me...probably would of thought that was a good idea..Not the new me. YEAHHHHHHHHHHH for me!!! Lisa Wyoming |
howdy ya'll..hope everyone is doing well.. I'm so excited that this thread is growing like wild fire.. again I want to thank all of you for making this so special.. Well i just finished cleaning the kitchen.. and I'm not talking to my hubby.. hes on this new diet were he has to count carbs fat and calories and have a certain amount during each of his 4 meals.. (hes trying to bulk up).. well hes been eating egg whites every morning and just leaving the dishes in the sink.. (doesnt even put water in them).. and since I've been mainly living on frozen dinners I dont really make a trip to the sink.. until today.. I decided to make grilled chicken breasts and steamed veggies for dinner and I about had a heart attack just looking at those dishes.. i put them in the dishwasher but the stuff was so stuck on I had to wash them all by hand.. and honestly, I was ok with it.. even though they were his dishes and I work too.. . but when I thought he was doing the laundry in the garage (you know, sharing the chores), I saw him sitting on his a$$ in the bedroom watching the SPURS game.. ohh.. I was soo ticked off.. then he has the nerve to come to the kitchen and act all suprised saying whats wrong? that ticked me off even more.. men!!.. what do you do with them?? *sigh*.. ok.. now I feel better.. thanks for letting me vent..
jennie934: thanks for the kind words.. I think you are doing an awesome job as well.. Lisa_WY: no need to apologize.. we love reading your posts.. thats what makes us.. us... you are doing so good.. keep up the great work.. and I'm soo proud of you for going swimming today and not thinking twice about the ice cream.. momX3: thanks.. i needed to be put in my place.. i'm just so worried that all this hard work is going to be for nothing.. how did the pics come out? looking2lose: hey hun.. i love reading your posts.. thanks for the motivation.. and don't you worry.. the way we eat are habits we got ourselves into, and it's gonna take time to change our habits for the better.. plus you can NOT give up a certain food you love, because most people will give up their healthy eating because of that.. "everything in moderation" ~~Sunshine~~: great job!! I'm so proud of you for getting your excersize in... kclay61: so glad the baby is doing fine... I bet his handsome face just makes your rainy day.. MoonRay: OMG!!! yay for you... hey.. do you hear that?? (dun du da) :queen: you are the Pic Chick Diva of the day.. keep up the great work.. now exactly how long did it take you to loose all those pounds?? petra65: I use to have the same problem.. I never had the energy to get off the couch and exercize... I always told myself that I had to lose weight first (I know I'm crazy).. but I forced myself to walk.. and then it became a habit, and then I wanted to do more.. you'll get there.. just don't give up in yourself.. we all believe in you.. Hotcupojava: WELCOME.. I'm so glad to have you here.. and I agree with you 100%.. the people on this thread are the BEST.. I cant wait to hear more from and about you.. Well guys.. my day went okay.. except for the whole dishes thing.. I walked my 2 miles and my totals for today were 13.5 grams of fat,, and 1055 calories.. I really don't know how they stayed that low.. I know it's bad to go too low and I didnt plan for them to be that low.. I just eat and count my totals before I go to bed.. Don't scold me yet.. my cheat day is Saturday, and I will make up for it.. (I promise) ;) .. I'm soo worried about weighing in.. my sister in law started dieting with me like a week after I started, and shes not as strict as I am,, but I can notice a big difference in the way she looks,, and I really dont see that much of a difference in me.. actually the places I notice it are the places that I wanted to loose last.. I'm loosing my boobs, and my butt.. oh well.. a loss is a loss... does anyone else have this problem?? today has been my downest day.. I just keeping thinking that I'm not working hard enough, but I dont want to over do it.. you know.. it's just one of those days when i'm doubting every decision I've ever made.. well I guess I'll find out on Tuesday if I've been working hard enough or not.. well my chicadees.. thank you so much for lending me your ears and letting me clear my thoughts.. I wish you all the best day.. and I cant wait to hear from you all.. |
Here's Java Turtle
Name: Mary (but Java works great or Turtle or Java Turtle)
Location: Northern West Virginia Age: 40 (ouch) Sex: female Marital status: Divorced & currently dating 1 Pooh Bear :smug: Highest weight: 349 (highest recorded weight) :o Current weight: (last weigh in): 240 Goal weight:145 Current clothing size: 22-24 Goal clothing size: I have no idea Kids:none Pets: 2 cats: Elvis 18 and Squeak (a stray) 3 Turtles: Lil' Butt, Cowboy and Stinky Diet: Joined TOPS in April. Following WW's Points (loosely) and journaling everything I eat. Drinking as close as I can get to 60 oz's of water daily and exercising as many days a week that I can. Okay, that's me. Java Turtle. I'm a full time/afternoon shift police dispatcher. I've been a law enforcement dispatcher :drill: for over 13 years and well, sitting on my butt eight hours a day/five days a week for thirteen plus years has uhmm taken it's toll on me and my hugely spread out bottom. I've only been at this new position for one year. But I love dispatching. I had a gastric bypass in 1999 and it wasn't what I expected. I initially lost a chunk of weight, but the weight loss stopped and I now struggle daily to lose. I don't have any food amount restrictions, so it's not like I have an advantage in dieting or losing weight. In fact, I feel it was never right in the first place. But that's another story (kind of a sore subject). I'm very glad I stumbled upon this thread. I've been searching for a new thread home since April. I've been lurking in several :mag:. But when I read yours (the entire thirteen pages) I felt like I'd found a home for Da Turtle. :smug: Deerod~ Thank you for starting this wonderful home. And I'm sorry about the hubby/dishes episode. Sort of glad my man is only here on my days off. Other wise he'd be pushing my buttons while standing on my last nerve. :rollpin: Lisa WY~ I gave up shaving my legs from Oct (just after my b-day) until the first day of spring. That was ugly. But it's real cold here in WV too. I can relate. :sman: Kclay61~ The joy brought on by that grandson comes right through in your post. So sweet. Congratulations! MoonRay~ Awesome job on 9 NINE pounds lost! :encore: Looking2lose~ I adore your sense of humor. Right up my alley. I weigh on Monday's too. Good luck to you. :high: Not sure how far to go back (and how many gals to include) on my very first "real" post. So I'll just say hello to the rest of you. I'm really glad to have found you all. Have a great day. |
Happy Friday the 13th
Good Morning PIC!!!! YIPPEEEEE It is Friday!!!!
Mary: Welcome!! Glad you are here! I am rather new, just started posting earlier this week and it is a great bunch of people! My sister had gastric bypass. She keeps trying to talk me into it. I would rather try the old fashion way. She has a lot of medical problems now, I doubt they were the cause of surgery but has cancer in several places and now is having trouble keeping weight on. Deerod: Men don't think. LOL Last week when I was sick, dh took me to the doctor. I had a kidney problem, really dehydrated and a high fever. Doc tried to be me in the sick place but I don't have anyone to watch Mallissa early in the mornings so I told him no let's try something else first. After the doctor dh took me to the pharmacy. I keep telling him how thristy I was. He said, ok, and went into the pharmacy. When he finally did bring me something to drink after waiting for the RX (over 20 minutes) he brought me Mt. Dew. Not my choice of drink for someone who is dehydrated. Then wanted to stop to get gas while he was out. I finally had to yell at him..TAKE ME HOME!!!!!!!!!! So, I have concluded, they just don't think! I shouldn't complain, he is tackling Mt. Washmore this week. We do share the chores. Petra: The first time I was on WW, I tried to do it without exercise. It just doesn't work. I read a book once from a fitness guru..that said..Any exercise is good. Once you start..it might even be walking to the street corner and walking to that same street corner until you are not out of breath. I have to make myself time to do exercise. I am a very busy mom. I also work 7:30-4:30 everyday plus on 4 days a week, I am driving Mallissa all over to gym class, piano and ballet. My day starts early and ends late most days. Actually exercising with Mallissa by taking her on a walk or the pool is fun! THe hardest part of exercising is making yourself do it. 30 minutes a day is good...an hour is better but if it is only 15 minutes...that is 15 minutes you didn't do the day before. Once you find a routine, it becomes addictive to you. Last night I did some recipe look up on the board under WW. There are some interesting ones there. Dh wants to try new food. I am hoping to get him on the bandwagon. I am sitting here listening to the Curves commerical.Anyone hear it..it is funny. LOL Hope everyone has a good day and it is lucky for you! Lisa Wyoming |
Good Morning ladies - Today is Friday the 13th :yikes: Who knows what today will harvest in the cubefarm. Zoiks!
I have been oversleeping the last 2 days. That is so not like me. :?: I usually am up at 3:30 a.m. (go to sleep by 9 p.m. at the latest). I get my day started, eat an energizing something like some fruit, half a cup of coffee, get some time on an exercise tape, stairstepper, or dance with the cats. I'm just kinda blah. Here I have support. At home I have none. My girlfriend wants to go walking, go to the Y with me, but has a super physical job and doesn't have energy in the afternoons or evenings, and will not get up earlier than is last-minute necessary. It kinda bums me out :( I don't wanna have a morning list of shoulda, woulda, couldas...you know? I want to reach my mini-goal of 10%, I want to be healthy. I don't want diabetes like my entire family, I don't want to have a heart attack. I want to live. I have to kick myself in my own behind and do this. Today is a new day!!! :) I can do this. WE can do this. One of you gals stated in a post that 'every second is a new beginning.' I like me and I am worth living for. WE ALL ARE. I just got me a big water, and I got my favorite comfy jean-capris on, wore my sneakers to work, and I'm going to get real here and give 'er h :censored: ll!! Thanks for listening my cherished PICs. Hugs to all, Be good to yourselves and take it easy. I'll be thinking about you. TTYS |
Morning Ladies :coffee:. I wrote to you all last night but lost it when I tried to send it so I just got about half way done doing it again this morning and the baby turned the computer off mid sentence :dizzy: . So here I go again.
kclay - :hyper: pictures of the baby yes please  Petra - Like Dee said "we all believe in you". I can't believe the amount of energy I have now that I have found a way to exercise ;) and trust me I have to find the time I have 3 kids and 1 is is only 21 months :) . hotcup - Glad you made it to our group :high:. You are right this is the best site with the most supportive ladies. Lisa - so sorry to hear about your sis . You are smart to do it the old fashion way. Good job on not going for ice cream :). I actually do curves and I love it!!! It gives me so much energy. I really look forward to the days I get to go there. I have always loved the cardio part of working out but I hate weights. When I go to curves I get the strength training that I need. Did I tell you I love it . lookin - I hope nothin bad happens in the cubefarm today. We are here to support you because people that are not going through this just don't understand but we do!! Don't worry about kicking yourself in the behind we can do that for you to . Seriously girls cheer up :cheer:. You are doing so well it is just going to take time but you are ON YOUR WAY!! dee - I have never heard you so down but we all have "those days". Don't worry about how your sil looks we all lose at different rates and in different ways. I have heard that you lose the weight first from the last place you put in on so the rest will come. I just wish I had your problem with the boobs and the butt mine are both double jumbo :^:. You have been working so hard and I know you feel better so just keep plugging away you will win this battle. Lean on me all you want I won't fall :D . Keep your chin up 'cause you ROCK!! I don't see your flower yet ;) . Now something for everyone to think about.... Why is it that we can be so supportive of everthing that everyone else is doing but we are not being supportive of ourselves. We are the only ones that truly know how hard we are working and yet we doubt everything we do. I want everyone to give themselves a pat on the back today because all we can do is our best. If that means eating healthy but not yet exercising or exercising but not yet eating healthy if it is YOUR best you deserve a pat on the back!!!! |
