deerod 06-10-2005 09:18 AM

Hi my lady lucks!!!!!.. Today is a good day for me.. it's the last day I have to work at this crappy job.. I start training for my at home job on Monday and that should last about 2 weeks... Then I will be able to stay home and love my job.. well ladies I just thought I would do a quick check in and to wish you all a great day and a wonderful weekend..

YOU ALL ARE LOSERS IN MY BOOK (in a good way).. and if it wasnt for you I would've turned away and never came back.. thank you thank you thank you.. I love you all..

Hotcupojava 06-10-2005 09:30 AM

Yeah, I think you guys are pretty awesome too. I got in a really good work out last night. I pushed myself on the treadmill and felt great afterwards. And like yesterday, my scale (this morning) is being REALLY nice to me! But I'm not even going to say the numbers aloud until I officially weigh in at TOPS. It's like if I say it out loud it won't be real or something. I know, sounds silly. Today will be my last day at work before my vacation starts. I'm just trying to get some house work done before I leave. Oh and of course, I slip in a sun bath too. :beach: This is the best thread I've ever been a part of. I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my Turtle heart. Thank you! :smug:

Now get back to work, Turtle!

jennie934 06-10-2005 09:34 AM

Hi ladies, just a quick note before my last day of meeting begins. We get to start this one going over the new health insurance. They change it every single year. what is up with that. If you get a doctor you like, you can only have them for a year. Its so expensive though, I can't even afford it so I get my own out side of work but yet I still have to sit through the meeting.....

Anyway, yesterday I had a bad eating day I didn't binge at all but I ate things I shouldn't have. for lunch they had gyro meat and I made a salad which wasn't to bad but since I don't ussually eat that stuff, I felt pretty bloated. then for dinner I went out to eat I had a vegetarian version of a cuban sandwhich which I have to say was better than almost all the cuban I've had and I am hopeing way less calories, but again I ussally don't eat a sanwhich for dinner I ussualy have lots of veggies, and salad, then I had to go to a graduation party and I had cake. My weekness, sweets. I only had one piece so it wasn't so bad but now my body is a little out of wack and off schedule. I'll get back on today. I sitll have 2 days until WI.
Ok, got to get to that meeting.:(

AnnieRN 06-10-2005 09:42 AM

Good morning girls! :coffee:

Just thought I'd check in and post my weight as my new weigh in's are on Fridays. Guess what?? Another 2 lbs lost! :D I'm a "2-lb-a-week-loser!" I'm happy about that and sad about that. Happy that I've been consisent and it's apparent through my hard work and determination, but sad because, AHHHHH, this is so slow. I'll probably gain 5 pounds over the course of this weekend. Going to a family reunion at my bro's house. I'll make every attempt at portion control and when my willpower goes down, I'll think of you all, who've brought me this far. You are all  in my book.

I'm sorry I don't have the time to address anyone individually, but we're leaving in about 2 hours, and there are things I still need to get done.

I hope to be around Sunday night for a "hello" and if not, "I'll be back" (in my best Schwartenagger voice) on Monday.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Keep up the great work. :grouphug:

Louie 06-10-2005 11:17 AM

Good Morning PIC Chicks ! Just crawled into the office.. enjoy a morning :coffee:, so thought I better check in since I didn't get a chance to yesterday.

Things are going pretty good for me. It was my anniversary and my hubby's birthday yesterday; however, I had school so we didn't do anything special. Tonight we are going out for a nice dinner and I will try to watch my points but have already decided that I am having a little treat of some type.. maybe a piece of pie or something..

Got my exam back last night and I got 88%.. YAHOO. 3 more weeks to go and then I write my final exam and then 2 glorious months of no school :beach:

DEE ~ so glad that you are back and great job on the loss :cheer: Great news about the job, I know you were really getting into a funk in your other one.

ANNIE ~ 2 lbs.. you rock girl. You are losing so consistently it is awesome. Keep up the good work :cp: Good luck over the weekend and just think of us as the little angel sitting on your shoulder saying :nono: See you Monday !

JENNIE ~ a day full of meeting.. BLAH ! Don't worry about your bad day yesterday.. in 2 days you can turn it around and you will be posting great results on Monday :)

HOTCUP ~ you are doing so great on the treadmill. I wish we had the facilities at work, it would make it alot easier. We look forward to hearing your awesome WI results !!

LISA ~ so sorry to hear your news... big hugs to you !! Sounds like through everything you are still busy as ever, keep up the good work and we are here if you just need to "talk".

PETRA ~ did you get an apology yet from work ? or at least an explanation as to what happened ? Have a good weekend and hope you aren't toooo busy.

MOM ~ thanks again for your assistance.... I knew we could do it ! This has been such a great group and it is great that we have all stuck together. Hope you have a great day

SKY ~ keep up the good job with the exercise.. you are really doing so well !

CURLY ~ sorry to hear about your scale.. Darn thing !! You have been doing so well... just keep at it and the scale will catch up.

ANGEL EYES ~ hope all is going well for you !!

LOOKING2LOSE ~ do tell.. how did aquasize go ?? Hope you didn't have to run anyone over trying to get there !!

MOONRAY ~ how was your first day of school ??

Well I better get some work started here. Hope you all have a wonderful friday and I will see you all soon. Keep on keeping on !!!

MoonRay 06-10-2005 02:02 PM

Good morning ladies!
WELCOME BACK Dee, the band wagon is parked waitting for you :D

First day of school was confusing, second day still abit confusing but I'm getting the hang of it :) Didn't think there was going to be so MANY books involved :dizzy: I think it's going to be hard but I can do it if I focus :)

CurlyLocks- Have you had your thyroid checked? (can't remember if you've talked about this or not) I think the synthroid has been very helpful to me, I only started loosing weight when I got that under control.

Well, I have to go have something to eat now, I hear my stomach calling :) Hope everyone is doing good :)

MoonRay

petra65 06-10-2005 02:18 PM

Well ladies, the consult gods are being very nice to me so far today. It has been an unusually quiet day. I have only had one consult so far, so I am actually home at 2 in the afternoon. Might have to go back out again but all is quiet right now. I also lost another 2 lbs this week. I didn't get an apology for the other night and I probably won't. I was told that I should have called the attending myself. I guess I have to learn to be more pushy which doesn't come naturally for me.

Hope to have a chance to check in with you guys more later.

~~Sunshine~~ 06-10-2005 04:40 PM

Hello everyone!! Welcome Back Dee! Congrats to all the losers!! Those who did not lose keep it up it will happen!! Good Luck!

I am down 2 more pds this week!! This the lowest weight I have been in years!! 37 pds gone in a little over 2 months!! Woohoo

Hope everyone is doing great and have a nice weekend!!

momX3 06-10-2005 09:02 PM

Hello All . Well I did my old (and I mean really old) Kathy Smith fat burning tape. I thought I was doing fine with it but my heart rate watch kept telling me to slow down.

Petra - Glad you are having a easy day :D .

Hotcup - Don't beat yourself up. You exercised :cb: :cp:. Hooray for you!!!
Bet you can't wait until Monday ;).

Lisa - I bet Mallissa loved eating in the car. Kind of like an adventure. It's the little things like that they talk about when they grow up.

Dee - Thanks for calling us losers :lol3:. We will take that as a compliment. So glad you are done with that crappy job!!

Jennie - Sweets Yummmm. Cake double Yummmmm. I am so craving sweet stuff. I am trying to eat grapes to get rid of the craving but it is getting increasingly difficult. Oh well. I am going to do this no matter what. I told my dh when I get to my goal weight I want a breast reduction. That is my focus right now so I have to stay strong.

Annie - I know you are not going to be around but... CONGRATS :encore:. 2 more lbs gone forever!!

Clip - Great Job on the exam . You are almost done for the summer!! Happy Anniversary for yesterday :balloons:.

Moon - You can do the school thing. You are so much stronger then you think ;).

Sunshine - Awesome job on your 2 more lbs and WOW 37 pounds. You rock girlie. What an inspiration to everyone. Keep up the hard work :D :D

Talk to you ladies in the morning.

Lisa_WY 06-10-2005 11:25 PM

I talked to my friend this morning..she is in better spirits so it helped me too. Mallissa was mad...because she was next door playing with her friend Alex when I did the video..and she didn't get to do it with me. She told Dave last night..Daddy..you miss the fun at the pool and you could lose weight like mommy if you go with us...you are santa fat. But I don't think he thought it was that funny.
Oh I am trying to kill myself...I made cookies tonight.(4 dozen) haven't had a one..will tomorrow..1 only after weigh in. My stepson is coming over tomorrow with family to help Dave clean the garage.

Momx3: great on the video...when I did this before I had some of her tapes.. think ex has them. LOL

Sunshine: WTG Girl! :goodscale

Petra: I am the opposite..way to pushy....but I used to be like you..so there is hope. LOL Hope your weekend is uneventful.

Moon: YOU CAN DO IT!! :balloons: Think of us sitting in the class with you!

Clipclop: Great on the exam!! WAHOOO 2 free months! I think I shoudl of been a teacher. LOL Enjoy your anniversary.

Annie: Yipppee on the loss..YOU LOSER!! HEalthy choices will get your through..

Jeannie: I hate meetings. LOL Dave calls them dang ole meetings...when I worked for Red Cross..we had meeting for everything..including potty breaks. LOL Don't stress..get back op..and you will be fine for WI

HOt: Have a great vacation! Wish I was going! Only 1 more month..I am going to South Dakota. Great getting on the dreadmill. :tread:

Dee: glad you are back..we missed you.. I would love to find more work at home...but I tried to get my web design business started and it just didn't work for me. I am too lazy..I need somewhere to go everyday. LOL

Sky: Where in FLorida are you? I grew up in Oakland, FL..just outside of Orlando. I also lived in Winter Garden, Cocoa Beach, and Ocoee. I have family still in Ocoee and Tampa.. We didn't make it there this year but probably will next year.

I have weigh in tomorrow morning. I think I loss..I better of loss. LOL I cheat by weighing myself on the scale at work..not as big as last week..but I think I still loss.

Everyone have a great weekend!! Hugs to you all.

Good Morning Lovelies !! Well we made it to the weekend.. yahoo. Although I am not sure why I am so excited.. weekends generally mean homework, homework and more homework. Oh well at least I don't have to go to work as well !

Hubby and I went out for a nice dinner last night, I had dessert but totally regretted it afterwards. Why oh why do we do that to ourselves

MOONRAY ~ glad that school is going well. I know it can seem so overwhelming when you first start. What course are you taking ? or are you taking multiple courses ?

MOM ~ thanks for the anniversary balloons.. how sweet :) Hope you have a good weekend. How is that knee feeling ?

LISA ~ 3 lbs.. YAHOOEY !!! Now you can treat yourself to a :cookie: Thanks for the congrats on the exam.. yes 2 free months from school.. although from what I understand work is suppose to be really busy at that time.. ARGG.. no rest for the

Hope all the PICs have a great weekend ! Stay strong.. eat your veggies.. drink that H2O.. and keep on keeping on !!

petra65 06-11-2005 09:15 PM

I give up trying to put smilies in my message. I just lost a whole message because of them.

Congrats Lisa on your loss. Keep up the great work.

Clipclop-hope you found time for some fun this weekend.

Today was no fun for me. It was payback for yesterday. Actually, my day started to get a little crazy (no pun intended) around 4 pm. Today I actually worked about 12 hours straight. I didn't even stop to eat or go to the bathroom. I have a bad habit of not taking care of myself when work gets out of control and need to find a way to stop it. However, I was a little pushier today-I had several attendings paged to clarify what it was they wanted from me so I wouldn't be called back again later. I'm an attending too so I don't know why this should bother me. Anyway, I came home tonight, took care of my boys, ate half a chicken (for real!) and made myself a mixed berry smoothie with tofu. I did get enough calories and protein in and was within my carb limit also.

Hopefully my day will not be so bad tomorrow.

Hotcupojava 06-12-2005 03:25 AM

Hi Pic Chicks

It's three in the morning and I just got up! :coffee: I was GOING to bed this time yesterday! :dunno: I'm going to be one confused and possibly very cranky turtle later. I hope the woman I'm riding with drives well enough that #1 I don't have panic attacks and #2 I can actually catch a few ZZZZZ's :crossed: All along I thought we were leaving late Sunday night, early Monday morning and I find out LATE yesterday afternoon that we're leaving today. Somehow I managed to get ready a full day early (including errands to the bank, stores, renewing library books and calling a fellow TOPS member to be sure I got an excused absence from Monday's meeting). I have NO idea how I pulled it together so smoothly. :smug: But here it is, a quarter after three in the morning and I'm enjoying enough coffee to wake me up and get me going, but hopefully not so much that we have to make any unscheduled stops on my account. Every year on the girl trip, we have a weird and crazy theme. Last year (I didn't get to go, I'd just started my new job and didn't want to ask off) was pajamas and tiaras. And you have to go into restaurants and rest stops and convenient stores dressed that way. This year I was told it was straw hats, so I bought a straw cowboy hat. But I found out yesterday that it's COWGIRL hats and pajamas. I told my sister I'd NOT be wearing my pajamas into a restaurant, but I'd wear my cowboy hat. The more I think about it, (I'm relieved that the straw hat I bought IS a cowboy hat) the more I'm wondering if my robe OVER my clothes and my fuzzy blue and white slippers instead of my shoes and socks wouldn't be so bad. I mean I want to be fun. I just have such low self esteem I don't want to give people even MORE reasons to laugh, stare and point. Oh well. I'll play it by ear.

Just wanted to tell you all I'll be gone a few days and I shall return late Wednesday. Poor Pooh (who is feeling neglected by the girl trip) wants to go camping the second I get back. So if you don't hear from me by late Wednesday early Thursday, I must be a turtle in a tent ... Smelling of wood smoke, sunburned and covered in mosquito bites. Ta ta for now all. I'm really glad I found this thread and here's hoping I come back from this trip :beach: still OP and actually lighter! :goodluck: :goodscale :thanks:

Amid 4 rain storms :rain: yesterday we finished our yard work of spreading 6 yards (half dump truck) of top soil around our new concreate patio. Dh and I had a romantic night last night cuddled around our new fire pit. :cloud9: That is until the neighbours teenager HAD A PARTY!!!! :nono: That dampening the mood real quick but they started close to the time we had had enough. geesh....KIDS!!! lol

Louie 06-12-2005 11:23 AM

Good Morning Gang ! Everyone must be having a real busy weekend. Mine has been rather quiet. Homework and grocery shopping yesterday... I know what an exciting life I lead. Today, who knows, I may go wild and do laundry :dizzy:

Actually I would love to go get my hair cut, but will have to see if they have any appointments available. Currently my hair is just past my shoulders and is straight, thick and parted in the middle.. can you say B.O.R.I.N.G. I am actually thinking about cutting it short again.. not real short but more around my chin/ear length.

ANGEL EYES ~ good luck with your WI tomorrow. I have mine as well tomorrow (((skinny vibes))). Hubby and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. Our anniversary falls on his birthday - no reason for him to forget ! He turned 38 this year.. so a couple more years to the big 4-0.

CURLYLOCKS ~ a date.. yeah for you !! You will knock him out in your lil black dress. Be sure to fill us in on the detail on Wednesday !!!

HOTCUP ~ 3 am .. yuck !! Hope you have a wonderful trip and we will see you when you get back. I would be all over wearing my pj's.. i pratically live in them, although have never gone to the store in them.. hmmm have fun!! If you go camping could you have a roasted marshmellow for me :D

To all the other Partners, hope you are having a wonderful weekend !!

Well folks I am off to tackle a bit of homework. Take care and TTYS.

jennie934 06-12-2005 02:18 PM

Hi everyone,
busy weekend it sound like. I had my WI this moringing and I am finally down! yeah 2.6#. so I am .4 away from my 10% or the first goal they set for you at WW. I think I will get it next week. Its kind of a weird one for me because, now I am back where I was last summer so I really think I should wait and celebrate after another 10%. But that is a WW goal not a personal one so what ever if it comes it comes.

I had such a busy weekend. My son had a T-ball game and I had to work the concession stand. I never saw so many hotdogs being sold there. so busy. I make jewlery and i had a jewelry party yesterday, think tupperwear but I'm sitting there making stuff, right after I closed my store. It was pretty hectic but I made loads of money. I didn't get a chance to eat much the whole day I did take a break at my shop and had a bowl of soup but that was about it. Around 10 when everything was said and done, I was so hungery but I didn't want to eat to much, my son and I split a happy meal at McD's ( it was the only thing open on the way home). so not what I would call a good choice but I was pretty desperate.

Ok, so here is the funny thing. My whole family thought today was fathers day. We invited the neighbors over for a dinner. I was saving up my points so that at dinner I could have desert but then as I was shopping last minute for a gift, the guy in the store was like oh fathers day in next weekend. wooops. well now I can eat some lunch and not feel like I am wasting my points. We are still doing the dinnner but not the cake. most of the dinner stuff was healthy stuff so it should be good.

Ok, I'm gonnna run, I hope every one is having a fun weekend.
Jennie

momX3 06-12-2005 04:44 PM

Hi Ladies. Well yesterday I just felt overwhelmed about the weight. I know it is going to happen but I still just feel so fat. Anyway me and dh went out to buy the baby a new bed and stopped and got Arby's on the way home :^:.
I had a roast beef sandwich and some curly fries . I exercised and ate well the rest of the day though so I just figure sometimes it's going to happen.

Lisa - Great job on the 3 lbs :dancer:. You are doing such an awesome job. Yeah Richard really does kick butt huh. It's funny because everyone makes fun of him but I want them to do his tape then laugh at him.

Clip - You deserved a treat for your anniversary. Any of us that can put up with men deserve one  ;). I think the knee is feeling a little better.

Petra - Sorry about the rough day yesterday. I hope today has been better for you :D.

Curly - :( TOM Sucks!!! Your date sounds good though!!! I hope you have a great but not to great time :o.

Angel - the firepit sounds really fantastic. Got to get me one of those :s:.

Clip - My dh hit the big 40 this year. Was kind of hard on him poor guy. I try not to let my age get to me but I will be 38 in August so the big 4 0 is sneaking up on me to. Oh well you are as young as you feel. Uh oh!!

Jennie - 2.6 lbs!!!!!! GONE, GONE, GONE forever . Great job!! I hate it when I get the days mixed up. Oh well it will give you more time to prepare .

I hope everyone has a great day.

petra65 06-12-2005 07:58 PM

I survived the weekend! good job on the loss Jennie.
Bon Vogage turtle, If I haven't missed you alreday.

Today was marginally better for me, but I still haven't figured out how to fit food into my on call weekend. I really have to solve this problem soon. At least tonight I got home at 6 instead of 8:30 so it wasn't quite as bad and I took an Atkins bar to work wtih me today. I went on a cooking frenzy when I got home. Had to cook all the meat I had defrosted before it went bad so now I have all kinds of stuff ready to eat this week.

Curlylocks: The recipe for the smoothie: 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries, 2 ice cubes, 1 tbsp splenda, 1 oz. silken tofu (has to be silken), and 1/2 cup heavy cream (you could probably substitute milk). It is delicious. Have fun on your date Tues. Dana Carpender (500 Low Carb Recipes) has a chicken pecan salad recipe that I like and you might want to check out sometime too. Not as many calories as the Arby's one and I think it is great! It's the one I chopped my finger on Memorial Day.

I didn't realize I was the old hag of the group. I'm 39. Will be 40 in December. Plan to get a good night's sleep tonight if Kobe cooperates.

deerod 06-12-2005 10:58 PM

Hi ladies.. sorry I havent caught up enough on the threads to address everyone singly. I'm doing good... I start training for my new job on Monday.. I don't have to go in till 9am.. (can we say woooo whooooo) I'm not a morning person.. and my "ex-job" ha ha. required me to be up by 6:30am .. I can't wait to work at home.. the first thing I want to do after training is die my hair back to pink and re-pierce my eyebrow. (Incase you havent figured it out.. I'm a little punky) some of my motivation for getting back on plan is that my hubby said I could get a piercing or tattoo after every 20lbs lost (we are complete opposites, he's clean cut, no tats or piercings, ex-army kind of guy. and I'm whats the hair color of the week, pierced, tattooed chick) .. I hated working in professional office.. anyways we've had a really long weekend.. still trying to get things back in order since the housewarming party.. and of course ya'll know I just had to shuffle up everything and re-organize all the furniture..

about my eating habits.. well I'm still not back on track. but I'm trying to get everything sorted out in this hectic little world of mine.. right now I'm trying to slowly work my way back in to it by making "better choices".. and then little by little I'll start substituting foods and cutting "junk" out of my diet.. well Ladies.. I hope you all had a great weekend.. I have to run and Help Adam (my hubby) assemble the new table set we bought.. I will talk to you later..

Love Always,
Dee

***** I Just Turned 26 on May 23rd.. does that make me the baby of the group????? *****

Howdy All,
I kind of let myself slide on the weekends. I know when I get closer to goal I won't be able to do this. LOL but for now it works for me. Yesterday, I made omlets for breakfast, skipped lunch because my stepson came over and we cleanned out the garage. I can acutally park my van in there now. It was really funny because I had about 10 people stop and some even knocked on the door..thinking we were having a garage sale. Some kid thought we would sale our new lawnmower to him for $20.00. Yea...right..LOL.. I put an ad on Freecycle to give away an extra bike, trike, and a ton of videos. In the video box, I found a couple of Kathy tapes which I kept. We had a BBQ with hamburgers with stepson and family. I gave new daughter in law a big box of girls clothes that were Mallissa's. My hubby does a radio show so we get books in the mail by the dozen...so I gave a bunch of them away too. This morning Dave and I went to breakfast while Mallissa was in Sunday School. We used to go to SS but we can't stand the teacher. (such Christian love) It actually isn't him it is his teachings and the way he conducts the class.. so we go to breakfast instead. After church,we all took a long nap. LOL We did swing by McD's for lunch and I got a kids meal hamburger to stay in points. Tonight Dave cooked salmon(I hate fish) but had some good veggies with it so I am back on program.

I am old too. LOL I will be 39 in August. Dave is 55! So I act older than I am. LOL I am actually a grandma! We have 5 grandkids, Austin 10, Darren 6, Skyler 2, Stephen 4 months, and Carrie 3 months. My stepdaughter had another boy, Cameron who would be 2 in August but he died 6 days after birth. Also Mallissa used to be our grandchild but we adopted her in Sept. 2003. She is the biological daughter of my stepson.(different mother of this other girls)

Deerod: Never would of thought the pink hair..but if it works for you....go for it!!

Moonray: You will do fine in school!! Keep up the good work.

Petra: Glad work wasn't too bad this weekend. Hope you get sleep!

Momx3: I did the Sweatin to the Oldies tonight. I like Dance your pants off better..it gave me more of a workout. Mallissa, the brat, was laughing at me and anytime I made a mistake would tell me. I still love her though... SHe was laughing at Richard too.

Jennie: I thought it was Father's Day too until Dave corrected me. We are having a BBQ next weekend....we are going to have steaks. LOL Great on your loss...we are all losers!!

Clipclop: Dave did all the laundry last week when he was on vacation. OMG, there was tons.... I put it all way yesterday and today. I think we have too many clothes. LOL I think we need to go naked.LOL scary thought. Have fun doing homework.

Angel: We got 2-1/2 inches last night until this afternoon of rain. I can't believe how much it has rained lately. We need it..have been in a drought for 5 years.

Well, I am going to bed..stayed up too late and have to get up early in the am to work on my websites. I am planning on walking tomorrow while Mallissa is at the gym. I hope the weather is good. My bike has a flat..will get Dave to fix next weekend..actually probably ask my stepson because Dave is not handy. LOL Tues is swim night, Wed is walk again, Thur is swim night and Friday I will do a video again.

Have a great week and stay on program!!

I need your strength

Just a quick note to say hello. If I do not keep on task I start to cry. Our kitty girl has gotten really sick over the weekend and it is time to send her to heaven peacefully today or tomorrow. It is breaking my heart, but the right thing to do is always the hardest, and this is the right thing to do. We can't let her suffer, its better if we put her in God's hands.

On another note, It sounds like you are all doing great!! I am proud of all of you ;) Keep it up....we're kicking butts (or losing butts, whichever  ).
I lost 2 more pounds....3 more and I get another flower WHOO HOO...

Love yous, I will check in later (gotta look like im working or something...)
Take care of yous!

Good Monday Morning Gals !! Glad to see a few more faces after the quiet weekend.

Well I did it.. I got my hair cut. It is about chin length now. Not sure if I am totally in love with it. It will take some getting use to !

I had my WI this morning and happy to report that I lost 1.0 lbs. TOM has officially left the building, so hoping for better result next week !!

JENNIE ~ way to go girl !! See I told you that you would have better result this week. You will be getting your 10% key chain soon.. or do they do something different in the States ??

MOM ~ I will be 36 at the end of this year.. so I can't really bug DH about his age seeing as I am pretty close to it ! Glad to hear that your knee is feeling better.

DEE ~ you may just be the young one in the group, although we are all pretty close in age. Hope your training goes well today.. you sound so excited about the new job!

MOON ~ having psychology classes would definately help in business.. quiet often I ask myself "What were they thinking ??!?!?!?!"

LISA ~ sounds like you had a busy weekend... and no you are not old!! I love going out for breakfast, but haven't done so in a long time. Maybe that will be a treat one weekend for hubby and I.

LOOKING2LOSE ~ so sorry to hear about your kitty  I know how attached you can get to your pets, but you are right you don't want her to have to suffer. Take care :grouphug:

Okay ....okay but just don't call me M'am!!!..... I am almost ...ALMOST 45 yo!! :D Dh and I have been married for almost 17 years and we have 2 boys ages 7 and 11. I think I am the old fogey here!!!

Looking........Sorry to hear about your kitty. :( I thought she was on the mend but I guess not. She will always be in your heart but maybe you're right....her time has come. A few years ago, we also had to put our cat to sleep as her kidney disease was just too much for her. Please be prepared as the injection works VERY fast, say your goodbyes quickly and her pain will be gone in less than 2 minutes. {{hugs}} BTW, weigh to go on the weight loss!

ClipClop.......woohoo....a new haircut!! Bet it looks great!! And you lost another pound also? You are doing so well.

Lisa......hmmm, a $20 lawnmower?...I'll be right over!!

Deerod.....Pink hair rocks!! Its just as they say, opposites attract. For my 40th I got a tattoo on my right shoulder. Actually I forget about it until I wear a camisole top and then everyone says...."oh. I didn't know YOU had one!!" I guess I'm the least person they would expect. ;)

Moonray......good luck with your weigh in tommorow at the drs. office

Petra.......I have had that chicken pecan salad (Dana Carpenter) and yum yum!! One of my forays into low carb meals. She has quite a few good cookbooks.

MoonRay 06-13-2005 06:30 PM

Well ... even if i cant see any decrease on the scale.. ( i am afraid to look now) i can see it in my clothes... I am hoping all this see-sawing is the effects of not having a period for like 9 months and to all of a sudden get one... maybe it was hormonal changes... who knows...( hmm maybe i still have time to have that baby ive always wanted)

Tomorrow nite is my hot date!!! whooo hooo! cant wait... tomorrow at work will be the longest day ever...

Ive been doing good staying under 1200 calories every day .. errr umm and walking most days..

When i am off wednesday ... I will go see what the curves like place is all about and if i can afford it...

My chai (dog) is having such a time with flea allergies.. even tho he always has frontline on.. i guess he got a bite when we were outside. Ive been giving him benedryl and cold baths.. poor guy..

anyways i'll see u guys wednesday... and let u know how the date goes..

Louie 06-13-2005 11:53 PM

GDay Gang ~ here is the daily motivator. Sometimes they just aren't relevant.. but this one certainly rings true for the journey that we are all taking together. Have a good evening my friends :)

Really want it

If you really want it, you will have it. If it means enough to you, it will happen.
For if you really want it, you will find a way. You'll stop making excuses and start making it real.

The obstacles you encounter are not there to prevent you from reaching your goal. The obstacles are there to make sure you really want it.

When you really want it, you'll find a way around, under, above or through each one of those obstacles. And as you do, you'll be literally creating the value of what you intend to achieve.

When you really want it enough, it is in many ways already yours. Full and complete attainment then becomes a matter of going through the motions and following a path that leads surely there.

Decide what you really want, and be careful what you decide upon. For when you truly want it, you will make it so.

Howdy All!!!!! Spring has finally spring in my little corner of the world... we are heading for the mid-70's today and the 80's for the weekend!! No rain in the forecast for several days!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE

Did my 3 miles yesterday while Mallissa was at gymnastics. Wahhhoo... She was so proud of herself after gym, she did a round off...off the high balance beam by herself!! Then I did part of RS, Dance your pants off. Activity is my friend. LOL Eating wise I did ok yesterday. I really need to start journaling better but I tend to keep it in my head. I know when I overeat and have things that I could of made better choices.

Curlylocks: YIPPEEEEEEE On the loss!! Hope you have fun on your date.. LOL not too much fun..hehe Stay busy today and the day will fly by. That is my plan anyway!

Clipclop: I think the modivator was good. We all want it and working hard toward our goal! We have excuses, obstacles and willpower to make it happen! We can do this with the support we have from our friends! I cut my hair a few weeks ago too. I let my bang grow out..not too sure I like it but it is ok...my bangs keep getting in my face and that drives me crazy. LOL

Moonray: WONDERFUL!!!!!! Glad you surprised the doc but even better that you surprised yourself!! Keep up the good work!!

Angel: You are only as old as you feel! Sometimes I feel like 80 and somedays 5. LOL I am not a tattoo person. That is my older person in me. LOL Actually Mallissa and I were talking about tattoos the other day. We were watching Nickeleon and there were 2 young men on there their arms were covered. I told her that looked yucky... she thought it was kewl... I told her tattoos were ok as long as you could take them off. LOL SHe doesn't understand the permancy of them...or the pain involved!! My $20.00 lawnmower is back in the garage. ..where it is safe. We just bought it at the end of the summer last year.....and we just gave the extra one to my stepson.(that one we got at a garage sale for $25.00 to mow the back yard in places...Dave didn't want to use his "good" one. LOL) Men are so funny!

Sunshine: WOW been married since you were 15! That is so kewl. WOW, your mom is an inspiration to us all. The other night Mallissa and I did RS Sweatin to the Oldies and at the end where they show the weight loss...She said..how much mom...LOL When I put it in context to what she could tell, like twice her weight..etc...she was amazed. LOL Lil Brat that she is. LOL

Lookin: Sorry about the kitty! Big hugs!! IT is hard losing a family member. Great on the loss too!! Another 2lbs gone forever!!

Dee: We are still glad you are back! Just take your time getting back on program...it will be so much better in the long run. You can do it!!

Petra: Is your world sane yet?? Glad you survived the weekend!! I used to work for an answering service many years ago....... peds and gynos are the worst.. people call in for everything!! We answered for a HMO group so they had to call the people back...no matter what.... some of the calls were really stupid... most of the doctors were really nice about it... but there was some grumps.

Well..I need to go get my shower for work!! Tonight is swimming!! Dave is going with us. (Mallissa talked him into it..plus he loves the hot tub!!) so I can work out while she is in swimming. My plan is to workout on the treadmill and bike..might try the elipical but I have never did it so if there is not many people..I will try. LOL Don't like to make a fool out of myself. Last time I went to the Y...I couldn't turn on one of the treadmills. I really think it was broke. LOL but it made me feel stupid. So I just moved to another one but had that feeling...like hey look..at that fat women..she is so stupid she can't even turn on the treadmill.

Hope everyone has a great day!! Be good to yourself!

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I took a personal day so I was no where near a computer. Some times, it is so nice to take a personal day. It was great. My son started a soccor camp. YOu know I would probably lose 20 pounds in a week if I was at his camp, they literally play soccor all day. He loves it. I am lucky, he is a very active kid, he would rather play outside than watch TV. I am trying to foster that. My parents never encouraged me to do sports. when i was in middle school, I joined the soccer team and played in middle school and highscool and I don't think they came to a single game. But what ever, now I am like excersise mama, I have even looked into joining an adult recreational soccer once I have lost a little more weight and can run a little better.

Curlylocks, great job on that scale finaly moving down. I know that plataue frustration to well.

Lookin, so sorry to hear about your kitty. It is really hard to say good bye to a good friend.

Angel, definatley won't call yo m'am, I hate when my students call me that I'm like I am not a m'am, I am still young, at heart!

Moonray, graet job on the loss, keep that docotor in awwh.

Sunshine, I can't believe you have been with your hubby so long. that is crazy. I'm not even friends with people i met when I was 15. well some but not a whole lot. good job on that one.

Clip clop, thanks for the motivation, some times we need to read things like that and reflect on our selves. keep em coming

Petra, when you are on call do you have to run around a lot? It can be hard to schedule in food. Maybe try just taking some good snacks you can eat and go with.

Lisa, I was slipping on the weekend a lot to, but then I stoped loseing. Journaling is my good friend in this. I notice when I don't do it, I don't lose. Even if I think I am keeping track, when I go to write it I have had so many more points then I thought. But if you are still losing, you are right, youdon't have to be so strick. You must be doing a lot of things right.

Deerod, that is good that you can go back to dressing the way you want. I don't think I could work in a place you have to dress up everyday. My job is very layed back so we can kind of dress how ever we want.

I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Hello everyone

Thought I'd check in and let you all know I was still alive. Just barely, though. The weekend was ROUGH! Snack and junk food everywhere you looked. I stepped on the scale this morning and I've gained 1.8. How damn depressing is that? After all this hard work. I sometimes don't think I have the energy to keep this up. I had to literally force myself to just to the 1-mile WATP this morning and it felt as though I might croak right there. :dz:

I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open right now, but wanted to check up on everyone. Congrads on everyone whose lost. :dancer:

I do want to thank Clipclop for the motivational quote. It was something I desperately needed to read. I'm having a lousy week and it's still not over. This weather here is making things all the more depressing. It's been raining A LOT! I miss my husband. He works 3-11pm and I sometimes really wish he was here. :stress:

At any rate, I'm super sorry I don't have the energy to respond to everyone, but I have read the posts and feel caught up.

Someone PLEASE help me to get over this terrible hump I've plunked myself into. I'm feeling scared that I can't do this anymore. :(

curlylocks 06-14-2005 09:01 PM

Annie dont u give up! I went 3 weeks without losing 1 oz and gaining 3 even tho i was OP the entire time... and u see the reward i got today!!!! its a slow process at times.. just try to re motivate yourself... give yourself a non food treat... and post away it really does help... and i know everyone cheering me on sure helped!!!

O my dinner date>>> :( he had an emergency on a project in AL and had to hop on the next flight... rescheduled for next wednesday!

petra65 06-14-2005 09:12 PM

Hi everyone. Had another day from **** yesterday but I think things should finally calm down for me. No more call for the month of June!

Looking-so sorry about your kitty. I can't imagine losing one of my boys although I know that will happen one of these days. Someone will probably have to medicate me for a few days. You are doing great with the weight loss though, so keep on doing whatever it is you are doing.

Clipclop-thanks for the motivation. It is so true. Also congrats on your loss.

Curly-I guess tonight is the big date. Good luck. Glad to see the scale finally moved for you.

Dee-I never pictured you with pink hair. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the new job. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Angel-I guess you and I are the senior members of this group and have to keep these young ones in line. LOL

Annie- Those 1.8 lbs will be gone in no time. I know it seems like you worked so hard to get rid of those pounds and poof, just like that, here you gained, but if you get right back to your program I bet they will be gone by next week. Almost all of us have had a little slip, you just get back on the wagon and keep on going. We're in this for the long haul. (I'm much better at butt kicking than sweet talking, LOL)

Sky-I used to have a Saturn, different model though. I really liked it. The only problem was that we get a lot of snow here and it didn't do well in the snow so I have a subaru now. Enjoy the new car.

Didn't intentionally leave anyone out.

Did some low carb baking tonight-isn't that an oxymoron? Anyway. I made a sour cream coffee cake. It smells and looks great. I hope it tastes great too. Some interesting things on the Low carb Thread here. Yesterday some guy was on and was blasting low carb diets on our thread-what was up with that? Also, a new woman came on who lives about 10 miles from me. Also, more interesting stuff on the protein power site recently. I'm learning a lot. I'll have to tell you about my coffee cake tomorrow.
