Good morning ladies. Got to sleep in a little this morning. Can't believe the boys let me do that but I have to get moving. Getting a haircut or trim really today and have to do the grocery shopping for my big camping trip. I leave on Tues. This will take a lot of planning and packing. I'm really excited but it is a lot of stuff to pack. I have to get the dog baracade out of the back of my car and that is going to be a project, LOL.
Actually a couple other strange things happened to me this week. As I told you I don't really do my Internal Medicine anymore so I had been debating about whether or not I want to retake my test and keep up my certification. Most medical specialties require you to take a test every 10 years to make sure you are staying up to date. I finally sent in the form saying I would recertify but still not sure I would do it (I don't have to take the test for 5 years yet). Well, in no time flat they sent me a bill for $700 which is the complete cost of the recertifying program and the first little module you have to complete which has about 60 questions on it with a due date in Sept!! So much for being ambivalent about this. I find as I read the questions I immediately know what the diagnosis is which is reassuring but that isn't usually what they want to know. The questions are things like, what is the next test you would order? or what is the next step in management? That gets harder since I don't do this anymore. Hope I'm not boring you to death. Sunshine-you are on fire! Congrats on the 7 lbs. TOM is not so nice to me. I only get 1 lb this week because of his visit. Java-great to have you back. |
camping sounds like a lot of fun! boy i hope im not cooked.. lol i fell asleep in the lawn chair for @ 45 min.. but i usually dont burn..

Hi Gals
I only did two miles on the outdoor track last night. I was over dressed and got too hot, but I did it. And I actually made myself do the 1 mile WATP today because I won't be working out after work tonight. I have to get up early for a detail.
So for tonight, I'm stuck at work... but at least it's "sort of" my Friday. So glad the site is finally working again. I was getting worried. Oh and I can't WAIT until I get to camping again! I love it. Pooh is the best camping buddy.... he sort of does it ALL! Sets up the camp, chops the wood, cooks and makes sure I'm a very happy Turtle. He even makes me coffee on the fire in the morning. Deep breath in through the nose, Ahhhh smell that? It doesn't get much better than the smell of the great outdoors of West Virginia (free of pollution) the smell of woodsmoke, coffee and maybe a little breakfast cooking too. I envy you, Petra. I hope you have a wonderful time. To the rest of you... have a great week end. Stay OP and enjoy yourself. The Turtle is BAAAAACCCCCCK |
ONLY 2? 2 miles is FAnnnnnntastic!!!!
:cheer::cheer: |
Morning Ladies :coffee:. I just have to say coffee is a wonderful thing!!! I went out on the boat yesterday with dh, ds and the baby. Oldest dd did not want to go. She is a party pooper. Anyway it was really fun. I was totally worried that the baby was going to get scared or not listen but she was good and actually got into the lake with dh and ds. She sat on my lap in the open bow and when dh went fast she kept saying GO.
Curly - I'm glad you joined to. I love going to curves and can actually feel some muscle under the fat . How often are you going to go? Lisa - I always do the elliptical first then the treadmill. The elliptical is still kicking my :censored: but I think I am getting better. Petra - The baby actually let me sleep in yesterday to. What's up with that? I go to curves at 8 on Saturday and she did'nt wake up until 7:45. Not that I'm complaining. So it looks like you are going to be doing some studing with clipclop and moon. Hotcup - Great job on the exercise!!!! :strong: I'm so proud of you for climbing back on board. That part is even harder then getting yourself to exercise. Give yourself a big pat on the back. Have a great day and TTYL. |
Somehow I had a horrible eating day yesterday. Not sure how it happened. I didn't eat cake or anything, just too many fruits and veggies and not enough protien. At then end of the day I had something like 54 grams of carbs and 60 grams of protein. What was up with that? I'm making sure I get this day off on the right foot. I've already had 2 eggs, and bacon. No fruit. I have to watch it with the fruit.
Yes, I've joined the ranks of the studying folks. I've done about 20 questions so far. I'm not one to wait until the last minute. Well I'm busy getting ready for my trip. Doing laundry which I get to hang out on the line today. I actually like hanging my laundry out for some strange reason. I made my nut and seed trail mix to take along. Hard boiling some eggs. Got the dog baracade out of the car. Things are coming along. I hope I don't forget anything important. Java-great job on the 2 miles. You need to stop being so hard on yourself woman. TTYL |
Hi De Ho Partners !
Just taking a study break to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and get caught up on the weekend events. Last night we had a family BBQ and I ate too many fancy salad.. man you kick yourself in the butt when you find out that the potato salad you ate was about equivalent to the hamburger !!! Ah well... will do better today and hope for a good WI tomorrow. CURLYLOCKS ~ congrats on joining the gym. I use to go to curves, but the hours were just not working for me so gave up my membership. You sound all ready to go and I am sure you will do great ! SUNSHINE ~ another great loss from you ... WAHOO ! HOTCUP ~ you are doing so well with your exercise.... wish I could say them same. Hope you enjoy your weekend. LISA ~ how did your WI go ? I am sure it was a success. MOM ~ have to agree with you on the coffee... during the week I only drink a cup a day, but the weekends I seem to go all out... maybe it is a studying thing ! Oh well, better the coffee than eating garbage (which is what I use to do!) PETRA ~ sounds like you made a great start to your day. I am looking forward to a little holiday too.. but probably not until the end of July. Good job at getting some of your questions done already ! Well back to the land of textbooks for me. I will come up for air again tomorrow morning and check in with you all. Until then have a great Sunday, stay strong, stay OP, drink your water, and keep on keeping on !!! |

Welcome Amanda. I believe you are our second Canadian. You seem to really like the dancing banana man, LOL. This is a good group but the thread can be a little quiet on the weekends.
|
Hi amanda!!! welcome to the group!!!
|
Short one for sure
Welcome Amanada. You'll LOVE it here. I know I do. :smug:
Short post for me! I think I may have just barely headed off heat exhaustion (or am possibly suffering from a mild case of it). I directed traffic, no shade, on black top for over six hours in full sun and over 96 degree temperatures. I heard a rumor that one of the competitors died during the competition (a triathlon). I drank lots of water, but eventually my perspiring stopped and my faced dried to a dusty/powdered salt grit. I was concerned, that's not normal to stop sweating like that :( . Now, I'm feeling pretty rough, headache, fatigue and some muscle cramps. I'm following all good advice and I'm drinking plenty and trying to replace my electrolites (or whatever those thingies are called). I've had two naps and will go back soon. My sister, "The Exercise ****" is here using my "gym" so I'm just up to keep her company. I'll be back in the morning to post a journal an on the thread here. Good luck to everyone. Enjoy your evening. |
I feel Welcomed!
Hi Everyone,
Do I ever feel welcomed, Im glad to hear that you drank tonnes of water being outside all day in the heat...hotcupojava. Today I did great. I ate tonnes for veggies for supper. and I took the skin and fat off of my chicken thigh. I walked thos morning and plan on going for another walk tonight. Tomorrow I am going to curves for an areobic class. It's really neat cause when you are on the mats you got areobics it get more bang for your buck. a wayyy harder workout. Hope you all had a great day , and I great day tomorrow ;) Talk to you all later, Amanda |
Hello and Welcome Amanda!!!
|
Howdy All,
I was so busy yesterday I didn't get a chance to check in. I loss.....drum roll...LOL 2.6lbs. I was a little disappointed considering all the exercise I did....but I think I blew it on Friday with the ice cream and dinner..but it hasn't detoured me none. After meeting, I called Dave..he said nothing in the house to eat..come home and we will go out for breakfast. Nope..I went to the grocery store! BY MYSELF!! (haven't done that in a long time. LOL) Came home and made breakfast. Jimmy Dean has a lower fat sausage. After breakfast, I mowed the lawn while it was still cool out. Then we went to Mallissa's gym competetion. She did well...and did level 3 on the floor, beam and vault. I was really surprised at how well she is vaulting. Then she did level 1 on bars. I asked her about that she said...level 1 was easier and she had the skills. LOL She could do the level 3 skills but wanted to work on them more. After the gymastics meet we went to do our normal running around. Then I came home and road my bike for 8 miles by myself. I even went up the corkscrew ramp over the highway overpass. Dave made hot dogs and sausage on the grill for dinner... I bought the fat free hotdogs and they were good. I got to have 2. LOL After dinner, M, her friend and I went bike riding to the park. It is about a 3-1/2 mile trip. Today, we skipped church. We did go to the Y in the afternoon. I did my normal routine but increased my ellipitical to 20 minutes. Bike riding was out because we had a storm come in. Dave made boneless pork chops on the grill and I made a huge garden salad and a fruit salad. My goals this week are to get to the gym at least twice more. I am going to try to work that out with Dave. I know he will go with me one night a week but I doubt I can drag him there twice. So I might have to do just swimming once instead of working out. Tomorrow night I am going to walk on the greenway while M is at gymnastics...and I might try jogging a little. I have increased my steps on the treadmill and I think I am ready. I have been using WW etools to track my food and exercise. I think that has really helped me. Well..I need to head to bed. Long day tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week. Hugs and Blessings, Lisa Wyoming |
Hi Everyone, I am back,
I had a nice vist with my Grandma. I saw some of my other relatives. I did eat a lot but I don't think I did to much damage. Luckily, my grandma eats very small portions herself so I didn't want to feel to much like a pig and take tons of food. She made a pund cake but also had lots of fresh fruit so it was OK. I got in one jog while I was gone and we went swimming buy it wasn't really excersie swimming, more like playing around and laying out. I decided to get right back on track. counted all my points yesterday, and decided to go for a jog outside. OMG, it was so hot even at 7PM, it felt like it was still 90 degrees. I only lasted for 30 minutes and I was dripping sweat and my throat was so dry I could hardly swallow. This morning, I wanted to get inmy workout before it got to hot so I got up early and did my step tape at home. I still was dripping and so hot but at least its done. So I am back on the losing side of things. I didn't want to weigh myself and get discurouged, I will wait until my WI on sunday. I need to go and get some :coffee: I still need to catch up on all the post. Hope every one had a good weekend. Glad to see some new posters. Jennie |
Good Morning Partners !
Well I did a stupid thing today.. I gained on my WI :tantrum: I think I can put it down to eating too many things this week that I could not figure the points out for... let that be a lesson to me ! AMANDA ~ welcome to the gang !! I am sure that you will love it here, this is one supportive group of ladies. HOTCUP ~ hope you are feeling better today and got your fluids up. LISA ~ great job on your loss :cp: I also use WW online and I love it, definately helps keep me on track. JENNIE ~ Welcome back ! Glad that you had a good trip and sounds like you are back in the swing of things. I am at home studying today... I will be so glad when tomorrow night is done with. So I am off to enjoy a :coffee: and hit the books. Have a great day Partners and TTYS !! |
I once was lost....
:o Jost Popping in to say HELLO. I did not forget everyone. It has been a made house; sent the cat to heaven, grandma had a knee replacement (2nd leg), and her and grandpa are living with my parents...Zoiks!! Too many hens in the hen house. Then grandpa fell down and is all bruised up and not looking so good. His prosthetic leg is too heavy for him now as he has lost so much weight...so there has been no time.
I am exercising religiously every day. either 20 minutes RS Blast Off, or the 40 minutes Mexa-Mix Blast Off (with the toning). I just signed up today to use the exercise equipment here at work starting tomorrow. New treadmills, ellipticals, 3 different kinds of bikes, exercise tapes, Exercise balls with tapes, pilates. Tomorrow I am going to do 20 minutes treadmill and 20 minutes elliptical. It is like 102 here in Wisconsin where I love and MUGGY :( No outside for me. I am holding strong. Totally since the beginning of June I have gone from 56 inches around my waist to 48 inches around my waist. I must be doing something right!! Howdy to all you PIC Divas. I am reading and trying to catch up. Sounds like everyone is hanging in there and doing great. (exercise is good for the aggression...between my mom running herself ragged and my grandma shouting orders and trying to clean out the basement of my own house) it is crazy!!! TTYS soon. Love & Hugs, L2L |
Still pretty quiet around here. Tomorrow I leave for my camping trip. Getting worried I can't fit everything in the car so I got a cargo thing for on top of the car. Not one of those big turtle looking ones though. I have some last minute grocery shopping to do tomorrow, pack the cooler and get the car organized and then I think I'm ready. I'm really excited. Hope the weather is good.
Went to the dentist tonight and had almost no tartar on my teeth. Another benefit of not eating refined sugar! Unfortunately, one of my old fillings is falling out and I have to have it replaced but that is what happens as we get older. Had problems with my eating again today but I guess it is because I'm on vacation and my routine was disrupted. I didn't make my protein minimum for the day but I did keep my carbs under control. I really have to stay on top of this. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time all of a sudden. I'm not making bad choices but just not getting things in the right proportions or something. Not sure if I'll have a chance to check in before I leave tomorrow. If not, I'll talk to you when I get back. Have a good week everyone. |
I went tto the endocrinologist today and he was happy with my progress... my blood pressure dropped 20 points on the top and the bottom !!! I was borderline high before ,,, walked tonight and went to the gym!
sounds like everyone is doing well... way to go!! Petra: i am so jealous... hope u have a wonderful time!!! |
WOW! its so nice to meet all of you.
I dont know what was wrong with me, I brought some fruit and veggies to wrok with me to last me all day. I had toast inthe morning, a banana, when I got to work and then I had a netorine and some low fat cookie. I felt so sick at arounf 3 pm I could nt even consentrate. I had to ask another girl to come help me, She even said that I looked sick. I donr know what it was, I thought that maybe I didnt eat enough during hte day cause when I got home I had a sandwich and felt better. Which was a relief. After I got home I went to straight to Curves, we had a areobic class at 5:30 I reallyenjoy then cause its manke the work out go by so much faster and you learn different movements. to do on the mats. Anyways I do feel better know thank G. I had some chicken noodle soup for supper so I had an okay of a day. **Clip clip** I wouldnt get too upset with the gain, I constantly lose and gain every week, as long as I feel good about my self thats all that matters and plus with the summer heat, you are probally drinking more H2O for it could bewater retieinsion.:goodluck: **Looking2 lose**- you sure are an insperation with all the excersie that you do. CONGRATS :cp: **Jennie** Welcome back and its really nice to meet you Hope you had a good visit wit hyou grandma **Lynn** CONGRATUALTIONS!!! One your Weight loss that is awsome!!!! your 2.6 lbs closer to your goal :cheer: Well I better get going I need a shower, Take care anf talk to you all later, Amanda... |
Another quick one
Petra: Bon Voyage, enjoy
Curlylocks: Way to go on lowering your numbers and working out. I lost one pound at TOPS. And although I worked out like a fiend this morning (which I probably shouldn't have) I'm beat tonight. I guess I'm still feeling the after effects of my heat exhaustion/traffic fiasco :headache: . I'm going to bed early. I'll try to address you all individually from work tomorrow evening. Oooh... gotta change my siggy first.. woo hoo... one pound! Yeah, I'm being sarcastic. |
Well ladies I had a salad for lunch today that made me feel sick. :barf: I still came home and did my 2 mile WATP. I wanted to do more but felt like I should take it a little easy today.
Rasberry - Welcome to the group. Glad to have you here :high: If I was you I would probably try to get some kind of protein on board in the morning, maybe try low fat or fat free cottage cheese with your fruit. I bet you will feel better. Especially on the days you go to curves you need protein. I go as well and bought their shake for the mornings when I just don't feel like eating. Curly - Great job on the blood pressure and getting in your exercise. :strong: Petra - I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. :D I look forward to hearing all about it when you get home. Lookin - Glad you signed up for the gym at work. Exercise is less boring when you have alot to choose from. 8inches in your waist. Girl You Rock. I am so proud of you. Bet your Lookin Good. ;) Clip - Sorry about the gain but you will get it next time. You have been pretty busy as of late. Keep up all your efforts they will pay off. :smug: Jennie - So glad you had a nice visit. I know what you mean about the weather. I live in CA and it's getting pretty hot early. :dizzy: Lisa - Once again great job on the loss. :cp: :cb: You are doing so well and I can tell by your posts that you are feeling GREAT!!!!! Hotcup - Glad you have the good sense to chug-a-lug that water. Stay cool my friend. TTYL!! |
Hotcup - You snuck in on me. 1 pound gone forever and ever. :cheer: You should be proud of yourself. Look at what you have been through lately and you made a come back. I personally think you ROCK!!!!!
|
yep i have to agree.. u have to have that protein! it fuels u up and keeps away the hungries!
|
Howdy All,
I didn't get time to check in with you all last night. My stepson came over to show us his new mini van. LOL They have been looking at cars for 2 months and finally decided on a mini van. I told them they made a good choice with 2 growing girls. I did a walk/jog last night. I probably only jogged 1/3 of the way but I did work up a healthy sweat. LOL Tonight I am hoping to go to the gym. :-) Jennie: Glad you are back. Good for you for getting back on track! Skinny vibes for your weigh in on Sunday. Clipclop: I have trouble figuring out some of the points for things too. Last night we had kabobs. WW says 8 points for 2 skewers. I fill mine up with veggies instead of meat so I ended up counting as 5. I only had 1 with meat and the other one 1/2 skewer of just veggies. Tuna salad is another thing... I can't remember what WW said but it was really really high..so I counted all the ingredients and guessed but my tuna came out to about 5 points. Sometimes it is a big guess but I tend to try to guess high than low. I am having trouble eating all my points. I end up short each day. Lookin2lose: Hopefully things will settle down at your house. Sorry to hear about your kitty. WOW! on your waist measurements. I really need to do my measurements. I bought a new swim suit and it was one size smaller than my last one. It fits me well. Petra: Have a great time. We are going on a small vacation next month. Sort of like camping but without the leaky tent. We are staying in cabins but it will be like camping because we have to go to the community bathroom. LOL Oh, no tv. LOL but we are going horseback riding..it comes with the cabin. Have a great time. I have decided to download Mallissa's Kids Worship CD to listen to at the Y while exercising. It is so upbeat and uplifting. All the songs you listen to at church with a rock beat to it. Nice CD. Curlylocks: Great on the BP. Mine will show up high when I am at the doc if I am stressed about it and other times will show up low. LOL Good for you walk and going to the gym. Amanda: Welcome to our world. Post often. Some days it is a mad house on this thread nad some days it is slower... but we all want to hear how everyone is doing. Hotcup: Yea on the 1 pound. IT will come off...but like everyone else..we all want it to happen yesterday! Keep up the good work. Momx3: I have to add ham and cheese or tuna to my salad... or eat something with it or I can get sick to my tummy. The veggies are not enough.LOL Glad you are back with us. Ok..were is everyone else? Angeleyes? Who am I missing? LOL Hope everyone has a great day! Hugs and Blessings: Lisa Wyoming |
Hi Everyone,
another day at the job.... Yesterday after work, it was so hot, my son and i went to the pool. From 5-6 they rope off part for lap swim. so I swam a few laps, 8 but they are short and man was it hard, my lungs were burning, but I think I am going to try and do that again today. I don't think its really enough to be a work out but at least I can feel it a little. After that I played around with my son in the shallow. He finally started going under water and trying to swim, its funny because, he goes under and floats, and moves his arms and legs like a frog but goes no where. I'm glad he is not scared of the water anymore it makes it easier to hang out at the pool for a long time. I'm gonna try and squeeze in the gym today somehwere. Lisa, jogging is the ultimate sweat machine. I always like the jogging feeling and I'm building stamina, I used to feel tortured when I would try and jog. I'm doing the alternating jog and walk that the couch to 5K suggests. Keep up the work. Mom, yeah, your tape is getting to easy, that means you are building up your stamina!!! keep it up. Clipclop, I always underguess points its hard. some of the points WW says I dont' think are correct. Like they say chicken with brocoli and a chinese restraunt is 2 points a cup but then other similar stuff is like 5 or 6, there has to be somethig wrong withthat picture so I ussaully try and figure things out my self but its hard. at least youknow what you did wrong and arn't letting it get you down, keep it up. Curly, good job on the BP, at my grandma's a lot of my relatives have those little machines to take their BP at home so everynight, we would all sit around and take ours. I bet you are feeling a lot healthier now. Hot cup, yeah you got to change your sig, that is my favorite thing to do. I can't wait until I lose again....keep up the excersising but listen to your body, you don't want to overdo it. Raspberrry, I agree, you probably need some protein in your day, your body was probablly running on empty. Mix up your snacks a meals a bit, an figure out what works best for you. Petra, have fun on your trip. I love camping and want to plan a trip soon. We used to camp so much when I was little(hippie parents) and I jsut found our old tent. If it isn't full of moth holes, I might take it out and try it. Hi to anyone else I missed, Keep up the good work and stay motivated. Jennie |
Good Morning Chicks !
The countdown is on...14 hours and SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER !!! Sorry... did I sound a little bit excited  Hubby just made me my morning :coffee: so just checking in, then will do one last review of the notes this morning and then I am hitting the couch for the afternoon. JENNIE ~ good job on the swimming. It may not seem like a lot but at least you are moving LISA ~ I am glad that I am not the only one with troubles figuring out these crazy points. I am sure there is some science to it, I just need to figure it out.. or maybe I just need to think twice before I eat something that I don't know the nutritional information for. MOM ~ hope you are feeling better today. Not good when a salad makes you feel sick. HOTCUP ~ is back and is on :flame: 1 lb gone gone gone.. YAHOO ! RASPBERRY ~ no advice from me, I think the girls hit it on the head.. more protein in the am will help you ! PETRA ~ i have probably missed you, but enjoy your holiday. L2L ~ Is that you ?!? I didn't recognize you with that new skinny waist. WAY TO GO GIRL !! so proud of you.. you are kicking butt :bravo: We seem to be missing a few people.... ANGEL-EYES, ANNIE, DEE, MOON RAY ~ hope all is well with you... come back !! Okay Partners, hope you have a wonderful day and I will talk to you soon :D |
Hi, My name is Dee and I'm a "FOOD-a-HOLIC" .. hi ladies.. I'm back.. the new job is going great.. but unfortunatly since I had it in my head that I was invincible to weight gain, I almost gained all my weight back.. (shame on me).. well it's time to get off my arse (lol) and get back into motion.. I'm sorry for letting all you wonderful people down.. but I'm back on the right mind frame finally.. I cant address each of you personally, because I need to catch up on all the posts.. but hopefully I will be able to print them out and read them today..
so heres my plan 1. I'm going back to low fat low cal 2. gotta get back into excersizing 3. Saturday and Sunday are going to be my cheat day's (yes, DAY'S.. I have to start off slow and get back into it ha ha) wish me luck.. |
Hello from work
Every time I do this, I leave someone out. So I'm basically just going over the last page or so. Anyone I exclude, it's purely by accident and no intentional "diss" on my part. I gotta give props to all the PIC Chick/Divas!
Deerod: Welcome back. Don't be too hard on yourself. I'm glad your new job is going well. Good luck. POST MORE! ClipClop: I hope you enjoyed riding that couch. Sounds like a nice break Jennie934: That swimming sounds great. I braved putting a swimsuit on for vacation, but I don't think I could do it around here. I'm still too big. But you did wonderful on the laps and I'm glad DS is enjoying it too Lisa WY: I round my points up too. I get really confused sometimes. You reminded me that I have that Leslie Walk/Jog I should be doing... thanks a lot! ;) MomX3: I hope you feel better. Good job working out despite your tummy RasberryIce: How YOU Doin'? (That's my Joey impression) Looking2lose: I'm so sorry about your cat. I have one (Elvis) that's either 18 or 19. He's never been sick a day of his life and it's going to kill me when he "goes." He's been a real friend to me all these years. I know how tough it is losing one. Peace to you. Hang in there. ~~Sunshine~~ A hello to you too girl. How's it going? I know I've missed some of you. But if I go back any further, I'll have a novel written. Just wanted to say toodles to you all. I worked out REALLY hard today and had some radishes out of my garden (mixed in a salad) and so far so good on the rest of the day. I so hope I can keep OP like this. Go Turtle GO! :snail: |
Just wanted to check in, I have been busy but I haven't fallen off the wagon! So I will try checking in more often.
I am glad to hear you are all doing great :D Congrats to all the loosers :cheer: YOU ARE DOING GREAT SUNSHINE!!! Welcome to the newbies :goodluck: Take care all MoonRay |
Hi ladies, just wanted to pop in and see how people are doing.
Afterwork my son was sleeping so no pool. I did my step aerobics and decided to go up one more riser and boy oh boy was it hard. I think I sweated about a gallon and I actually had to stop twice and just march. but its good to keep it challenging. Welcome back Dee, keep us posted as to how you are doing. Clipclop, keep the countdown going. I have just 3 days until summer vaca! yeah! summer! Hotcup, I always feel like I leave some one out to and don't want to its hard to get everyone but I won't take it personally if you do. I know what you mean about the pool. Luckily, they have some cute skirted suits this year not quite so grannyish as they have been in the past. I got one and it makes me feel not quite so bad. I know I'll be much happier once I can wear a regular one. Ok, gotta run. Have a good evening. Jennie |
Moonray, you snuck in on me while I was typing....

Howdy All,
Just a quick note. WEnt to the Y tonight. Dave wouldn't go..he had some dental work done today and wasn't feeling all that great..so no workout but I think my body needed the rest so I swam instead. Mallissa is doing great in learning to swim.. She has come so far since the first time I took her and she about strangled me. Anyway I managed to do 10 laps in the pool... 5 front swim, 5 on my back. Worked my arms..jumped around in teh pool while I was waiting for M to swim to me. had a great time! I wore my old swim suit and the top was funky... IT is a two piece but not like you think. LOL I never had a problem with the top coming over my tummy but now it does. LOL So I will have to find my new one I bought over the weekend...it is a size smaller than I have been getting.>YIPPEEE for me. A good source of protein is low peanut butter. I love it on rice cakes. My favorite 3 point snack. IT is also very filling. Amanda..take some baby carrots to work and snack on them. I can eat a whole bag a day. LOL I love snacking on those too. Point Question
I know I should probably ask this somewhere else, but I was wondering if anyone knows the points for McDonald's new fruit salad. I didn't eat the candied walnuts, I gave them away. I can't believe I paid $3.17 for it! I don't even think it's a whole apple! But I have no idea how much it and the yogurt dip is worth (points wise). Thanks for any help in advance. Gotta get to bed... :^:

this link is pretty cool cuz it will let u take stuff off and calculate the nutrition info... like removing the bun etc... i tried taking some stuff off my "fav" the regular cheeseburger but it was still too many calories and too much fat! http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=menuitems |
Howdy All,
I Thought I would try to address everyone this morning: Hotcup: McD's Apple salad = 5 points with the nuts. Apples=1, Yogurt=1 and the nuts=3. We pay 2.99 for the salad..I can go buy 4 apples for that. LOL But I have bought it instead of fries. A regular cheeseburger I believe is 8 points. I will eat that occasionally. Lolita: Welcome to the group!! This is a great bunch of people. Just jump right in. Curlylocks: I have been trying to add variety to my lifestyle change. One of my favorite meals is kabobs on the grill. I do like ff hot dogs now. I try to make one new thing a week. Tuna is good...full of protein. I made a huge tuna salad last week in a lighter way and dh and M loved it. Amanda: like I suggested earlier..carrots sticks are great as a snacker. I can eat a whole 1 lbs bag in a day. My favorite veggie. LOL IT woudl be hard to have all that food around during the day but you can do it!! I also love mini rice cakes. The carmel ones are the best. I also like the bigger ones...Apple Cinnomen with lf pb on it. Jennie: good for you on the step. The early 90's cured me of any type of classes. One time I fell flat on my face...so I prefer to work out alone. If you did this at home...kudos to you. I tend to start out great..but I need someplace else to go besides my basement because I find I don't work out as hard. I missed going to the gym last night but I did go swimming. That felt nice..we had a warm day yesterday. Swimming laps is good. I like doing that but I also move around a lot in the pool. Pretty good work out. Moonray: Glad to hear from you. It is so hard doing this indiviually. I always forget people. LOL Our group has grown and that is a good thing!! Glad you are back! Deerod: Hi, My name is Dee and I'm a "FOOD-a-HOLIC" ..I Love this statement. LOL We could all write it. Glad you are back and hopefully your new job will work out for what is best for you. I am a big believer in when one window closes...another one opens. I have always managed to come out ahead at work and knowign when it was time to move on. Not only for better $$$ but a better work enviroment. I have been back at my current job for a year now... I like it..lots of free time and no one always over my shoulder. IT works for me now. LOL Clipclop: Count down and have fun!! Enjoy your time off. You have worked so hard on the brain power now work on the me power. LOL Petra: I miss you too. Hope you are having a great time camping and listening to that great music. Sunshine, Angeleyes, momx3, L2L, and Annie..where are you??? Come out, come out where ever you are!! I always worry that I forgot someone!! Hopefully I didn't. Today I am going to the gym after work. Dave is taking M to gymnastics and staying for parents day. This is the first one I have ever missed. We are busy at home and Dave needs to help me if I am going to help myself. I don't have to watch the clock at the gym tonight. LOL I am going to try to make it home to cook dinner! Everyone have a wonderful day. Hugs and Blessings, Lisa Wyoming |
