curlylocks-do you think you could shrink down a picture a my boys so I could use it as my avatar?

curlylocks 06-17-2005 08:49 PM

lol icd9's hcpcs dx's DME when i 1st got into this 12 yrs ago i thought they were speaking another language!!

momX3 06-17-2005 09:42 PM

Thanks to all of your for your advise. I really love you all :D. It's nice to have people that understand all this stuff.

So here's what happened at the doctors office today...... :blah: :blah: :blah:

I have plantar fascitis which I will be going to a class to try to learn some exercises I can do. She liked my shoes but said I need some insoles. She offered the shots I said "Maybe not". For right now I am going to try 800 milligrams of motrin 3 times a day and see if I can manage with it. Oh yeah and no more walking she wants me to bike or do elliptical. I don't have either right so I guess I will be looking into an elliptical. Also I forgot to ask if my workout tapes will be o.k. Does anyone know?

I also talked to her about my knees. I had Xrays today and she referred me to physical therapy. She wanted me to go today but I could'nt.

The main reason I went today was because I have not been able to hear out of my left ear for awhile off and on. I knew it was wax and tried to flush it myself but could'nt so had that done as well. I keep hearing all of these noises with that ear. Very strange .

The best part of my visit is she told me if I could get down to 175 I can have breast reduction surgery (which I was going to reward myself with when I got to my goal weight). My insurance will pay for the whole thing. I always heard they had a waiting list but I guess not. The Doc was so happy I have lost weight she told me to come back between 200-190 and we can start the process. :cb: :cp:  :encore: :cheer:

petra65 06-17-2005 09:59 PM

Probably no workout tapes either. I think she wants you to rest your injured feet so the inflammation will go down. Sorry.

curlylocks 06-18-2005 07:50 AM

Happy saturday !!!

I have to work till 2... I need the o/t always too much month at the end of my money!!!!

wishing everyone a great day... enjoy!

Hotcupojava 06-18-2005 09:07 AM

Sigh

I'm still here. I'm trying to fight my way back to drinking water and exercising. I've not gone off the deep end with my food, but I haven't been able to get back into the habit of exercising. I work just one day (today) and then I'm off two more days. I weigh in on Monday. So I'll have to do SOMETHING! It's not like I've fallen off the wagon, but how do you get yourself back in the groove. Think about it, Turtle. Move it Turtle.

I hope you all have a great week end.

Louie 06-18-2005 10:39 AM

Good Morning ! Just popping in quickly to say

Mom ~ glad that you got a diagnosis and great news about the breast reduction. Now you really have a goal to work towards !!

Hotcupojava ~ way to hang in there. You will get back on track.. good luck with the WI on Monday.

Curlylocks ~ love the new avatar.. very sweet !!

Not much going on with me, so just a quick post today. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.. TTYS !!

Here's a little motivation for the day...

Small change
Somewhere in your life right now there is a small, positive change you can make in the way you live each day. When you make that small change, and stick with it, the results can profoundly influence your entire world. Perhaps it's a destructive habit that you can choose to leave behind forever. Or maybe it's a useful action that you can add to your daily routine. It could be something as simple as choosing to start each day with a smile instead of with a complaint. Or you could identify something that has always made you angry and just decide that you're not going to let it get to you anymore. Your life is filled with opportunities for making small, positive changes. When you look for them, you'll see those opportunities in every direction. Even one small change can have a large positive impact on your life because the benefits of that small change are repeated day after day. Keep adding more small, positive changes from time to time, and the results can be truly incredible.

Give yourself the gift today of a small positive change in your life. And continue to enjoy the rewards you receive far into the future.

Hi Ladies,
sounds like eveyrone is doing well this weekend. I had a good day yesterday. I ate well and I got in a good excersise. Plus I only did a half day at work. I am kind of PMS-ey so I am trying to over power that but its hard to do.

I tried using the old universal machine at the Y today (not natulus type stuff, just the old free weights and this one machine that looks like it was made before I was born) anyway, I did 3 different arm excersises at the minimum weight which was like 37 pounds or something crazy but I guess its not intended for lightweights like me. I could only manage reps of 6 put boy are my arms sore today. I love that sore muscle feeling makes me feel like I'm doing somthing right. I think I am going to try and work that into my gym visits at least 2 times a week.

Ok, gotta get ready for working.

Keep up the good work
Jennie

jennie934 06-18-2005 11:08 AM

Hey just a qucik thought since we have so many post do you think we should start a new thread, liek PIC #2 or somthing? I don't know if it matters how long you threads get or not.

Lisa_WY 06-18-2005 11:51 AM

Howdy All,
Woke up at 4am and listened to the birdy concert outside on my porch. Watched the sun come up..it was a beautiful morning!! Dave and I went to bed early so we woke up early! Mallissa had a wonderful time at her sleep over and must of practiced back handsprings most of the night. The instructors looked more tired this morning than the kids. LOL She probably will go to bed early tonight. Dave and I went to my weigh in and then to Walmart this morning. I was bad and didn't stay for the meeting... WE also went grocery shopping AGAIN!

Tomorrow we are having a Father's Day BBQ and bought some steaks. Today is my house cleaning day. (actually not that messy) and I am going to wash and clean out both vans! WAHHOOOOOO I also got a new tire for my bike...I am probably going to work on that first.!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Oh by the way...I am down another 1.3lbs.(for a total of 19) My lowest week since I started but it has been a strange week for me. I didn't get in as many veggies as I would of liked but did ok with fruits. I did drink my water...so I guess if the scale is going to move down... I should be happy!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Check out my fabulous new avatar curlylocks made for me! I don't know what my problem is, I guess it has something to do with working 12 days straight but I can't seem to get my butt in gear. I have to drag myself to do everything. I've only gotten one load of laundry done. I finally got some groceries in last night and did some yard work today but everything seems like such a chore. My sister called me today and invited me to dinner tomorrow for father's day. I'll go but even that seems like a drag and it shouldn't. Whine, whine, whine........

Louie 06-18-2005 07:40 PM

Hey PICS ~ saw this on another thread and I thought we could have some fun with it and learn a few interesting things about one another :D

What are 10 random facts about yourself ? The facts don't have to be too personal, anything you'd be willing to share... I'll go first :)

1. growing up I had the biggest crush on Shaun Cassidy

2. I have a male order groom.. okay not really. We met online in 1999 and we married in 2001. He is from New Zealand and moved all the way to Canada to be with me :o

3. I am a neat freak when it comes to my writing. I am the one at work that always has to write on cards or make signs.. even my teachers comment on how nice my printing is.. my brother use to say.. "you may be dumb, but at least your notebooks are tidy".. now I just laugh at him cause he works in grocery shipping.. and I am in management and studying to be an accountant

4. I hate camping !! When I was a kid I fell on some logs while camping.. got a wood tick in my head and ended up in the hospital getting it cut out

5. I am a reality TV junkie :sssh:

6. A couple of years ago I got my nose pierced, but have since taken it out.. the darn thing wouldn't heal !

7. I have never had a drunken moment in my life. In fact I don't know if I have ever had more than a sip... I can't stand the taste of alcohol :barf:

8. My grandparents owned a bakery when I was young and we lived right next door... hmm.. bakery = weight problem ?!?! :cookie:

9. I have the ability to remember song lyrics really well and you will always find me singing along to any song on the radio..

10. I love to paint my toe nails. In the summer I always wear sandals and have brightly colored toes.

petra65 06-18-2005 09:09 PM

I saw this on the other thread too clip clop. Some of this stuff you guys already know about me. I had a hard time coming up with 10 random facts.
1. I was raised in foster care. Lived with one family most of my childhood though. I still call them mom and dad. Will be seeing them tomorrow for father's day.

2. I play the flute. I have played since I was 7 and was a music major at a music school my first two years of college so I guess you could say I'm pretty accomplished.

3. I listen exclusively to contemporary christian music. I have no idea what they play on popular radio stations unless they happen to be playing christian music (which actually happens sometimes)

4. I am one of those people who always tries to do the right thing even if it isn't the easy thing. This sometimes gets me into uncomfortable situations but I never have trouble looking at myself in the mirror.

5. I don't know how to mow grass. I don't even own a lawn mower.

6. I am one of the most self disciplined people you will ever meet. It is without a doubt the reason I have been so successful in my life. I can't tell you where I got it from either, seems to have always been with me. When I decide I am going to do something, look out!

7. I was planning to adopt a child and went as far as completing a home study. Then I had my teenage niece live with me for 6 months and nearly went out of my mind, LOL. Now, I'm not so sure I want a kid.

8. I have a terrible sense of direction. I can almost get lost going around the block. This is a joke in our family. I have the most education, yet can get lost going anywhere.

9. I'm a pretty good cook

10. I am board certified in 2 medical specialities which is actually pretty unusual.

Lisa_WY 06-18-2005 10:49 PM

1. I was raised in a big family(5th of 7), 3 brothers, 3 sisters. One of my sisters is actually my niece my parents raised. My parents were married 45 years when my dad passed away. I am not close to my older bros & sis's because they are so much older than me.
2. Mallissa is biologically Dave's grandchild, we have raised her since birth.
3. I have 2 stepchildren, my stepdaughter isn't speaking to me, but will sometimes talk to her dad if he calls her. I never could have biological children. Adopting Mallissa was my miracle to become a mom. (that is why I enjoy ever minute of it.)
4. I was a grandma before I was a mom. Dave and I have 6 grandchildren.
5. I also met Dave online in 1995 we did the long distance thing for 2 years(travel and phone calls! Oh MY, don't know how we did it!)....and I finally moved to Wyoming in 1997. I was divorced from my first husband but we were living together when I met Dave. (oppss.... that is a bad fact. LOL)
6. I have worked part time as a radio DJ and a webmaster for 4 radio stations and have designed 2 non-profit sites as well as Mallissa's webpage. I like all kinds of music but my radio station in my car is set to a Christian music station. (don't tell Dave, I rarely listen to his talk radio show in the morning. He works for a group of radio stations that has a rock, country, talk and lite rock station and the Christian station is not one of his.
7. I am an avid true crime reader. I love Ann Rule's books and one of my biggest thrills was getting to talk to her on the phone when Dave interviewed her.
8. I love to sew. I have made Mallissa some beautiful clothes. I started when she was about a year old.
9. I've had the same pillow for the last 20 years.. it used to be a king size pillow but now it is the size of a travel pillow. I do wash it about every 3 months..but I have to sleep with it at night! I can't sleep without it!
10. Dave and I are certified foster parents but never had a child placed in our home.

Louie 06-19-2005 10:14 AM

Good Morning Partners ! It is just going on 7:00 am on Sunday and I am already up and having my :coffee:.. hmmm wonder what it is like to sleep in once in a while :?:

Heading out for breaky for Father's Day, but other than that it will be a quiet day with the school books. I am really struggling with the last 2 chapters, so will have to put in some extra time today to figure them out.

Petra ~ love ..love.. love the new avatar !! Great list of facts... I played the flute in elementary school.. okay maybe "played" isn't the right word. I couldn't read music to save my life, so just played along quietly, probably never getting a chord right ! I can also so relate to #9 - I am terrible with directions, street names, and not sure which way is North vs South, East vs West.

Lisa ~ Yahoo.. congrats on another awesome WI :cp: My hubby is also from a family of 7 kids, he is the youngest of 5 boys and 2 girls. I know what you mean about the long distance relationship thing. I was so glad when hubby moved here.. the phone company probably wasn't though

Hope all you other partners are having a great weekend. Take care and talk to you all soon !!

petra65 06-19-2005 10:47 AM

Good morning ladies. Not much going on here this weekend. Seems to be just a few of us talking to each other. Went to church at 8:00. I was reading the prayers today. Interesting old testament lesson for father's day though--it was the story of Abraham sending Hagar and Ishmael out into the wilderness. Basically a story about a father abandoning his child and according to the story, with God's blessing. Of course, the priest chose not to focus on that aspect of the story but I found it a strange selection for father's day. I commented to him about it after the service. Our main priest is also a physicist and we think a lot alike, so we had an interesting conversation about theology, religion, culture, and Bible history. One of those random facts I didn't include last night is that the only other thing I seriously considered doing with my life was going to seminary and becoming a priest. I'm an Episcopalian so we have female priests. However, I was raised by Baptists and my foster brother is a Baptist minister. I still think I may do it someday.

I am making up for my laziness yesterday. I have been on fire this morning. I have hard boiled eggs, made some of my nut snacks for the week, made chicken salad for lunch for this week, made myself a smoothie, done laundry, and cleaned up.

Clipclop-you should have moved to New Zealand. I hear it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Lisa-the festival I am going to in about 10 days has a lot of great bands. As you can guess by my alias, I am a Petra fan, but I also like a lot of other groups. Some of the bigger names at this festival are Switchfoot, Audio Adrenaline, Jeremy Camp, Michael W. Smith, Newsboys, Pillar, Phil Keaggy, Superchick, Tait, Toby Mac, Joy Williams. There is a bunch of others. I'm really excited. I think they have a similar one on the West coast in Washington State.

petra65 06-19-2005 10:55 AM

Lisa- check out this website: http://creationfest.gospelcom.net It appears that the west coast festival is at the end of July.

momX3 06-19-2005 11:09 AM

This sounds fun but you can't laugh.....

1. I sucked my thumb until I was 18 . My parents could'nt break me of the habit. It was my comfort. Guesss I should have stuck to that instead of food.

2. My father was in the air force so I moved every three years the first being when I was 2 weeks old to Okinawa Japan. I graduated from an American High School in England. Almost stayed there and got married.

3. Was with my dh for 11 years and had 2 kids, a house, cars, dogs and never got married. Guess I wanted to make sure he was the one . Finally married when his mom got sick with cancer for the second time and have now been married for 6 years.

4. My wonderful parents are still married. They got married a week after my mom turned 17 and are still Very much in love.

5. When dh and I decided to have another baby it was August 2000. I never had any problem getting pregnant with the first 2 so we started trying. Well it took 1 full year to get pregnant again and that ended in a miscarriage . That was one of the worst things to happen to me.

6. I work for a company that produces home and garden shows. I sell the show that we do in Ventura California.

7. We moved a year and half ago. We moved from a house that was 1150 square feet to one that is 2742. That was a pretty big adjustment. I am ready to move again to a house with a bigger lot.

8. I have 3 sisters. Poor Dad. 5 women pms-ing every month. I am the second. My parents will have 12 grandkids when my sister has her next one in a month 8 boys 4 girls.

9. I had to be put on prozac because of the stress of conceiving. I had horrible panic attacks. Since I started exercising I am no longer taking it.

10. I tend to get obsessed with things. If I want something I want it now.

Clip - Shaun Cassidy . One year for Christmas I got a satin jacket with his picture on the back and jeans with his picture on the bottom of one pant leg. I am also a reality tv junkie and can't wait for Big Brother this summer.

Petra - I also have a terrible since of direction although it seems to be improving and yeah teen agers can make you want to pull your hair out. My son has ADD and my daughter is the A B student. Boy they can get into some good fights. I need a black and white striped shirt to referee.

Lisa - So glad you have Mallissa and enjoy being her mother. What you and Dave are doing is so Awesome. There need to be more people like you out there :D.

Hotcupojava 06-19-2005 11:43 AM

This is going to sound like a desperate cry for help (or attention) but I'm in such a bad place emotionally and "motivationally" that I'm probably not going to post for a while. I don't know how I let myself get like this, or why I do this to myself, (I was doing so well and moving down) but I've lost my grip on my program and I'm drifting, idle and miserable. Hopefully I'll refocus soon and rejoin the ranks of the "positive" people. Sorry for the whining and self pity drivel.

curlylocks 06-19-2005 12:25 PM

Hotcupojava:
Please dont give up now... the first time i lost weight i started at 320, and lost down to 180... I let myself slip lost my motivation.. and just went wild eating.. stopped exercising... and eventually ended up back at 288 ... I wish i could have looked and seen what i was doing to myself ... and i wish now i did not give up!

You are doing soooo very well... maybe u just need a few days to get your motivation back, but please don't give up on your program all together..

You really dont have far to go now.. look how very close u are to being in 1 der land....

I have my goal set at 165 but i really dont think i will ever get that low nor do i think i need to be that slim...

If i can get to 190 i will be jumping for joy... anyways i'd just like to say please dont stop posting... we dont mind if ya whine or pout thats what this is all about... its not just sharing the good stuff... we are here to help each other even when things are not so great........and if there is anything i can do to help or just listen please feel free to pm me ..

P.s. u dont live that far from me u want me to come whoop ur butt? (just kidding)

geez look at how i whined for 3 weeks... lol but eventually i got unstuck...

I tell ya the weight smart one a days have really cut my appetite back and they seem to give me more energy..

curlylocks 06-19-2005 12:30 PM

3 cats: Micah, Myah, Mallie

my dog is named Malachai "chai" for short (sounds like kye)

Don't ya just love that polka-dot tounge??

jennie934 06-19-2005 12:37 PM

Hotcup, don't be sorry, we all want to help each other your not whining or anything. We all get down and need help up. I am gonna send you a PM but I also wanted you to know that I don't want you to stop posting. You can post no matter what.

I wanted to do my 10 facts but its hard to think of things....you'd think it would be easy.
1. I am getting ready to move out of the house I have lived in for my entire life. Yes my parents are selling their house after 35 years :( its happy sad. I'm glad I am getting my own place but its so emtional to sell our house.

2. I have a small clothing company but I can't even fit my own clothes- horible I know but I tried to sell larger sizes but non of the stores even want to carry XL, I am going to force them to buy at least one XL this season.

3. My favorite color is blue

4. I went to 5 different colleges before I gradutated.

5. I went to school for sculpture.

6. I only buy stick shift cars.

7. I own way to many pairs of shoes.

8. I am very self motivated and get things done, yet, I can't seem to lose weight or keep my house tidy.

9. I havn't had a boy friend or gone on a date in so long I can't even remember. Probably because I never go out. I say its because I am so busy, single mom, small business, full time job but who knows, maybe I just don't like people.

10. My son Blaise (4yrs old) was home from the hospital before I decided on a name for him and then it got spelled wrong on his birthcertificate.

So those are 10 things. ahh, its hard to concentrate on your self like that.

Well, I went to WI today and yeah, I'm down :cb: :cb: 2more. I hit my 10% as well as 25#. I was going to wait until my son was there with me because he likes it when I celebrate and they clap. When I dont' he is like oh why arn't you saying anything. Why didn't you lose more. But I gave in and told them in the meeting. WE had a good meeting. sometimes, they are losers but today was pretty good we got into groups and talked about how we can be economical with out food, point wise and dollar wise. It was good.

Ok, so I found some new found motivation and am gonna go work out. I wish I could share it with anyone out there that needs some.

Have a good sunday.
Jennie

curlylocks 06-19-2005 12:40 PM

jennie934: u should try selling a a few on ebay ... geez its so hard to find cute things in larger sizes ... they would probably sell super fast!

curlylocks 06-19-2005 01:16 PM

hotcupojava

super turtle!

momX3 06-19-2005 07:28 PM

Hotcup - PLEASE PLEASE don't leave us. It's alright to have down times. We all go through it but you can't give up on yourself. We will miss you :( .
Nobody is "positive" all the time. I have had many, many rough days while doing this. Sometimes I don't think I can make it back up but I do and you will to. You have been through so much and have been such a great inspiration to us all.

I can say for all of us that we don't think you are "whining". We know you are going through a rough time. You are only human just like the rest of us.

If you do truly feel the need to take time off at least come say hi a couple of times a week so we know how you are doing o.k. Trust me I will really miss you my friend.

momX3 06-19-2005 07:40 PM

I went out yesterday and bought the reebok elliptical. I am not going to not exercise. No way Jose :nono:. I love the way it makes me feel and I don't want to put any kind of brakes on the weight loss. Especially since I have wanted breast reduction surgery for like ever. I did it this morning and let me tell you it takes some getting used to.

Curly - Your walking buddies are beautiful.

Petra - I love your new avatar. You are such a show off about your boys ;). Good for you getting your food ready. It makes it so much easier to stay on track.

Jennie - I can't drive stick :o. I only buy automatic. Great job on the 2 lbs :cb: :cp:. You are doing great.

Clip - I know what you mean about sleeping in. The baby is usually awake between 5:30 and 6:00 every morning :tired: .

Lisa - More weight gone forever :D. Pretty soon Dave and Mallissa won't be able to find you .

petra65 06-19-2005 09:12 PM

Java-no need to go anywhere. We don't mind you having some bad times. That is the point of this group, we are in it for the long haul, and we aren't all going to be positive all the time. You know, I don't live too far from you either so maybe Lisa (curlylocks) and I should come give you a joint butt whooping, LOL.

Curlylocks-love the pics of your dog. How did you get him to stay still with those glasses on?

Jennie-I also only buy stick shift cars. Have never owned anything else.

Had an interesting day. Wore my size 16 Liz Claiborne jeans to my sister's house. Haven't worn those for awhile. My brother-in-law is the only one who commented on my weight loss. He is a great cook, and I have to say I think this is the first time I have ever been to his house that he hasn't served meat. Can you believe it? Of all times? They were having pasta for dinner but they had some left over chicken they heated up for me but I felt like a jerk. They didn't know I was on low carb and I didn't know they were serving pasta so the whole thing couldn't have been avoided. I went over my carb limit for the day by 3 grams but it's not the end of the world--at least I didn't eat the pasta.

Then when I got home, Buddy had a present for me. They don't have accidents in the house very often so I can't get too upset about it. You may wonder how I know who--when this does happen, they each have their own special place for leaving presents, LOL. Good thing I can have a sense of humor about it.

Lisa_WY 06-19-2005 09:52 PM

Howdy All,
We had a wonderful Father's Day but it was focused on FOOD! Dave and Mallissa wanted omlets for breakfast..so ham and cheese. LOL Yes, Mallissa and I split one and we had some raisin toast with it. For lunch/dinner, Dave grilled steaks. I made potato salad, cole slaw, fruit mix, and brownies. LOL I was good...I only ate 1 brownie. The cole slaw was low fat but the potato salad was full flavor. I did ok...eating wise...I ate small portions but we didn't have dinner... I also had some strawberry shortcake tonight. My stepson and his family came over. My stepdaughter never called Dave..that is ok..Mallissa made him about 10 cards today. LOL He knows where the love is.

Mallissa and I went for a long bike ride this afternoon after everyone left. We were gone over 2 hours and stopped at the park twice. Our total milage for the ride was over 5 miles. YIPPPEEEEE for us..there went my brownie. LOL

Turtle: YOu are not going anywhere. Look how far you have come!!!... You can make it through this with us! We are holding your hand!

Petra: I love the boys!! Very kewl. I will check out the website. We listen to KLUV in the car or Mallissa's CD, Worship Jamz.

Jennie: We didn't get to pick out Mallissa's name and when we adopted her we wanted to change it to the correct spelling..but dang it ..she already knew how to spell her name and write it. I have gotten used to it and it make her unique. I can drive a stick..my first car was a VW bug..but it had a semi-automatic transmission..but I blew it up so they put in a stick shift..sorta had to learn quickly.

Mox3: Mallissa announced today at our BBQ that Mom is losing weight. LOL Don't you love it when they point things out. We have always felt we are the lucky ones to have Mallissa.. Besides there is 2.4 million grandparents raising a grandchild!!!! The numbers get bigger everyday. You can check out my site that a friend and I are doing. www.kinsupport.org

ClipClop: Dave and I said we probably have more stock in AT&T..when we were dating. LOL WE surely paid a couple of high priced CEO's salaries. LOL Back then you didn't have unlimited long distance... When we got 10 cents a minute..we thought that was wonderful> LOL

Well..I need to get some work done. I am beat. LOL Next week will be very very busy..Mallissa has VBS.

Everyone have a great week!

:drill: ATTENTION! Good morning gals. I really miss you all so very much. I have been trying to catch up on all the posts.

I really don't want anyone to get so discouraged they slip away from our group. You ladies are so important to me. Yesterday I was feelin' all depressed and sad and I ate....get this....I ate a half of a 1/2-gallon of Edy's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lite with no Sugar Added, made with Splenda. I sat on that couch in my pajamas watching television and ate a quarter-gallon of ice cream. Then I thought to myself...OMG!~!What am I doing. I panicked ran through the kitchen. My furry-babies were looking at me like my heiny was on fire and I threw the rest out!!! I thought. Holey-moley I need to get back on the PIC bandwagon, check in with the gals, say hey! and move my rear!!

Reality check!!! Ice cream is a snack, not a meal :o

Hang in there everyone, okay? Please, please, please, please, please. I need you all and I miss you all like crazy. I will write more a little later.

Fact about me #1....I work as a medical transcriptionist in a multiple speciality clinic/hospital organization in the midwest where I have worked for 11 years (started when I was 19). We are on mandatory overtime...but I am going to check in more often and "check myself before I wreck myself."

Love & Hugs to all,
~L2L

Petra - Congrats on the size 16 jeans. I am so jealous. :p

Lisa - 5 miles WOW!!! Bet you felt great when you got back.

Moon - I am so sorry about your dad. That must be really rough on the holidays :grouphug:

Lookin - So that's how I gained all this weight. I used to think ice cream was a meal. :dizzy:

I will talk to you all later I just had to give you the good news on my weight loss.

:grouphug: Welcome Shalia.

Good afternoon everyone. Sounds like you all are doing GREAT!!! WOW! I have fallen off the PIC wagon.

Here are some other things.

1. Medical transcriptionist for 11 years.

2. I swallow my gum and chew hard candies immediately after putting them in my mouth, ever since I was a kid (wow...that feels better).

3. I love frozen french fries right out of the Ore-Ida package from the freezer.

4. Back when I turned 21, I was drinking quite heavily my crew of friends at the time. Came walking out of the bathroom like I was 'all that and a bucket of chicken' flirtin with everybody there....come to find out my fly is half down with my panties sticking out of the front!!! :o

5. I am a reality TV maniac. Can't get enough of watching other peoples lives. There's a new one coming out about these 3 familes in the neighborhood who get to choose between 7 family applicants and get to pick who can move in....whoa...cant wait to see the drama on that.

6. I fall asleep every night watching Court TV, and then wonder why I dream bizarre things.

7. I am the queen of country karaoke in my hometown.

8. When I was a teenager, Jerry Mathers who played 'Beaver Cleaver' was at a mall in our hometown, and my grandmother really wanted his authograph, so we went and were waiting in line. Well, he was eating a sandwich in a little restaurant and she actually interrupted his lunch to ask If my sister and I could sit on his lap to have our picture taken...he was very obliging. :faint: :tied: (one of my favorite shows).

9. The movie 'Meet the Applegates' was filmed in front of my house and Ed Begley Jr., came over to our house to use the bathroom!!!

10. I told my sister when we were kids that eventually she was going to grow horns from her head if she kept on being naughty, and every day for a month if she got scolded for something, she would run to the bathroom mirror and check and check and check for those horns...Finally she told my parents, and then I got grounded ;) So the next night I put some deer antlers my dad had down the basement in her bed, and she thought she grew them overnight and they fell off!!!!!

Take care of all of yous. TTYS. Love & Hugs

Shalia - I am going to have breast reduction surgery when I get down to 175.:cheer: I just found out on Friday my insurance will pay for it :D.

curlylocks 06-20-2005 06:52 PM

hey guys...

I just made the BEST fake fried chicken... mixed dijon mustard, and fat free mayo and added just a bit of milk to make it creamy. a dab of olive oil .salt, pepper, seasoning then dipped my chicken legs in there ( after i removed the skin)

then dipped them into some oat flake cereal i had crushed up

then i sprayed them with olive oil pam and baked them at 350... they were awesome crunchy and brown just like they had been deep fried!

:) Welcome to the group Shalia!!

Hi Ladies,
well today was another busy day. I didn't get my usual lunch time workout in so after worked I figured I'd go of a run in the park with my son riding his bike. He has started camp and was running playing and swimming all day. Well he pooped out before we even got half way so I only jogged for about 20 minutes but hey at least it was somthing. It was my first out door jog in a long time and it was a lot easier than on the tread mill. I must not move as fast on the ground as that belt moves on the machine....

Welcom Shalia, I'm doing WW, I'm 28, I have a 4 year old son, I am busy busy busy but I am making sure I lose my weight and keep it off this time....so thats me in a nut shell. Every one her is so nice and helpful. I hope you keep posting.

Have a good night, I'll check in later.
Jennie
