Hi ladies - I did my old sweatin' to the oldies tape with Richard Simmons today. I got a watch so I can keep track of my heart rate, calories etc. for mothers day and I used it when I did the tape today. Let me tell you I had to slow down a few times because my heart rate was to high. I guess Richard Simmons can still make my heart beat fast  .

Clipclop - Im glad to see your first day on WW went well and I hope the second was just as successful. Keep it up.

Lisa - Welcome to the site. Glad you made it :high:

Lookintolose - 3 lbs. WOW:cp::cb::cp:. That incredible. Glad your into even numbers ;) .

Jennie - I'm sorry to hear about you problems at work. That is so stressful especially since you have to be in that situation 5 days a week. I hope things have been cleared up. If not let us know and we will all go kick her *** . You have the right attitude about getting back on track. Good for you.

Moon - Be sure and let us know how things go on Thursday with the weigh in
and don't worry about the cookie you are doing so awesome you deserve a treat every once in awhile. :cookie:

Sunshine - Great job!! I can't imagine being 24 lbs lighter. You must feel wonderful. Keep it up :cheer:

Dee - It's o.k to miss 1 day just don't let it happen again :nono: . Thanks for looking up the stuff on the food for me. I guess it does'nt really matter how many calories at this point because I'm not giving it back  .

Everyone have a fabulous night.

Howdy Everyone!
I did well today! I have decided to go to WW at 7:00am on Saturday.. That seems to work best for our schedule.

I ate well to day. Actually, I have trouble eating all the food that WW requires. I guess that is not a bad thing. I did eat all my fruit and veggies today. Didn't eat a lot of meat.. but I did eat breakfast.>YEA FOR ME! That is my most troubled part is eating breakfast. I didn't eat Fruit Loops either....

I also dusted off the ole stair stepper.. Our weather turned cool again :-( I hate springtime in Wyoming. We are going to get the "S" word tomorrow!! YUCK! I also found out that I have a ski machine in my back room too. LOL I forgot about it. Too bad I sold my threadmill. Oh well, I probably will pick up another one at a garage sale this summer.

This week I will cheat a little and weight myself at work on the bathroom scale to determine my weight loss since I won't start WW until Saturday.

Hope everyone had a good day. Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Hello everyone!! hope you all had a great day.. I'm pretty tired so this is gonna be rather short..

MoonRay: don't worry about the cookies.. I just read in a book called "the truth" that cheat days actually help you lose weight because after you diet for so long, your body gets used to eating a certain way and your metabolism slows down, and if you incorporate a cheat day or cheat meal it tricks your body and re-starts your metabolism.. so those cookies are actually good for you.. :dizzy:

momX3: You go girl.. you are too funny maybe its those short - shorts that make your heart race.. :s:  .. Richard Simmons kicks my but.. I just dont have enough energy to keep up with him.. I do Fat Burning for Dummies.. at first it seems too hard, but you learn all the moves and then you start to remember them like dance moves.. keep up the great work

Lisa_WY: More power to you.. I am not a morning person.. and I give you "props" for making the effort to wake up at 7am on a Saturday.. isn't it a great feeling to say, I'm not eating enough?.. I also have a problem with breakfast.. thats why I drink shakes on my way to work (convinence).. I just realized that protein powder mixes have even less fat than the slim fast shakes.. (my husband just bought some because he's trying to beef up) I havent tried them yet, but I'll let you know how they taste.

alright ya'll I hope you have a great evening.. I'm off to take a shower.. oh yeah, I forgot.

my totals for today: f=22.5 calories=1035 (walked 2 miles)

*** 7 more days till weigh day ***

Hi ladies,
quick check in. I was feeling so bloated and gross last night. I didn't get a chance to eat dinner at a normal hour so I kind of pigged out on 2 slices of pizza. not a true binge or anything but it didn't leaving me feeling good. I think I have written this like 10 times. I realy need to make it a priority to eat on time and not get so hungry and short of time that I eat someting junky.
Any way, I got up early and did my step reebok tape. got my heart pumpin this moring. I love Richard Simmons too. His tapes are so fun. I need to find mine and dust them off. I love it in the the one when they do the twist and he goes CRAZY!

Keep up the good work everyone! gotta get to the daily grind.
Jennie

Howdy Everyone!

Deerod: I am an early riser. My dh is in radio so our house is up early but we are normally in bed by 10pm too except dh who goes to bed at 8pm. I wanted to exercise this morning because I knew it was going to be a crappy weather day. Rain...Rain...and later SNOW! I didn't have time although I got up at 5. I will do it tonight, I will...I will....I will......

Although dh made fun of me last night. I have to tell this story. After I got off the stair stepper and was all rubbery. Mallissa came down stairs and decided to try it out. So she was on it for about 5 minutes playing around and doing fine. LOL Then says to me, Mommy why don't I make that pppppppp sound (my out of breath sound). Dh just laughed.. I told her because mommy was old and smoked and it gives her good reason not to get older or become a smoker. Out of the mouth of babes!

Jennie: honestly, 2 pieces of pizza won't kill you. You have to let go and move on and be lucky you didn't eat a 3rd slice. LOL I don't have a problem eating late at night, normally we have dinner at 5:30 and I am not a late snacker so that is not a problem for me. I also let myself have those things that are bad for you once in a while. You have too or you just crave them more and more and then you are out of control. Good luck and hopefully you can get your pedicure soon! I have to find something to reward myself with when I hit the 20 lbs loser.

momX3: how does that heart rate thingy work? As far as Richard Simmons..he makes me laugh to much to exercise with him. I don't like videos. I am going to walk, stair step, maybe dig out the ski machine(for crappy days) and get my big butt to the YMCA. During Mallissa's swim class they have water exercise. Anyone else do this? They say it is good for low impact. We have a wonderful YMCA and maybe my reward for after exercising can be to sit in the hot tub. LOL

Hope Everyone has a great day, stick to your plan!!

Good Morning Crime Fighters!!

Hello to all my friends, and  welcome to our new ones. I am going to do some Richard Simmons Move, Groove, & Lose 2nite, but it cracks me up. Not the people, just him. I start laughing, and I'm afraid to pull something :hyper:

Anywhoo...I would like to start going to the YMCA. It is about 2 blocks from work. I want to do that Aquacize or whatever their fancy name is for it. I really don't want to go alone. Mentally I have all of you, physically I have the full-size mirror on my bathroom door, but a buddy certainly would help.

My friend said she would go with me (buddy up to motivate each other), but she will not wear a swimming suit if her life depended on it...so I have to ask if it is okay for her to wear a T-shirt or something ;)...regardless, I am going to go. I have no shame, I tried on last year's suit that I paid almost $100 for with the little empire waist skirt and it still fits sort of...if I pull it down in the front and show a ton of cleavage my heiny is covered :ink:

Thank you for making me PIC diva for the day. That meant a lot to me. You gals keep me goin (and reminding me to drink my water...ugh. I can feel my eyeballs swimming.

Take care of yous, ttys. Hugs

Good Morning Ladies - Hope everyone is having a great day. I have been looking at some other postings and some ladies post :flow1: when they have lost 1, 5, 10 etc. pounds. I think we need that. What do you all think? Maybe every 10 pounds we get a pretty flower?

You guys better quit making fun of my poor boyfriend. He can't help it if he has alot of energy

Lisa - the heart rate thing is a watch that I wear with a band that goes across my chest (I put it under my bra band) then I exercise. It has all of my info height, weight :yikes: , age etc. My heart rate should be between 119 and 156. If I go over it lets me know and I slow down. When I'm done exercising it tells me how long I was in my target heart range, how long I worked out and how many calories I burned. I love it. It is my friend
:dizzy:

Talk to you all later :comp:

looking2lose 05-11-2005 04:23 PM

MOMX3 - I noticed the posting of the 'lost pound twinklies' too. I would like to add that to my sig line. Maybe every 5....cuz I don't think I could handle the anticipation of waiting 7 more pounds for another flower.... :dizzy: !!

Have a wonderful night everyone, I'll be thinking about you.

Until tomorrow....

Hey girls.... Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. I've felt lost and I need to find my way back to this thread and ww's. It started with TOM and then some family issues I needed to work on and then before I knew it, I had been missing from the gym and here.... for over 2 weeks!! I have been lurking though, and everyone seems to be doing really well. Today is the first day in a long time that I've actually got my water in. What a difference that makes. I could really use some encouragement to get back on the wagon (so to speak). Thanks.

Hello everyone!! Why do I always feel like I eat to much and exercise to little? I usually have cereal with FF milk for breakfast then for lunch maybe a sandwich, FF chips, and FF cottage cheese or a salad then for supper something like Tuna helper and potatos and veggies all made with FF milk and FF butter! Maybe some sherbet for dessert. I usually ride my sationary bike 2 miles sometimes 4 miles then do 20 crunches, 20 leg lifts per leg and then walking (treadmill) and nordiac rider and weights for 30 minutes total and then at night maybe a walk which is 30 minutes! So what do you all think? Do I need more exercise and less food? I know I have been losing but for some reason I am just scared to death I might gain a pound back!

petra65 05-11-2005 09:26 PM

Hi everyone. Welcome Lisa, Wyoming. Work continues to stress me out. I need a vacation! I'm going to a conference in about 10 days so I just have to hold on until then. I'm experimenting with that fitday software. It is very interesting. I don't think they calculate the fiber in your food and they certainly don't calculate net carbs. Does anyone else use it? If so what do you think?

Louie 05-11-2005 09:43 PM

Lisa_WY 05-11-2005 09:47 PM

Howdy Everyone

I did well today. Did get in my water, ate pretty good. Since I started eating breakfast I am starved by 10:30. I did hit the hunger pangs with carrots but I wanted something more that would stick

I didn't do as well on exercise. My thighs hurt from last night and I gave up in about 10 minutes(also I had to help Mallissa with piano homework) but my stair stepper is calling my name..so I probably will climb back on in a few or drag out the ski machine. Maybe during American Idol. LOL Dh makes me parnoid staring at me so hopefully he will go to bed in a few.

Sunshine: If it is working for you stick with it. I do know you can't cut too many calories and food from your diet. You can always exercise more but you have to have a balance. If you don't have balance you might do more harm than good.

Angel: Jump back on the bandwagon. We all fall and we are all here to pick you up. I got my water in too..I actually feel better when I do. Although I can't be far from the bathroom...today my eyes were swimming while waiting for Mallissa to finish gym. Finally I gave up and went in and went potty. LOL

Momx3:I might need one of those heart thingys. Was it expensive?

Looking2Lose: I think I am going to go to the YMCA's waterobics. This Saturday might be a little tough to do because I would only get 30 minutes during swim lessons and we have ballet afterwards and it is the dress rehearsal. I really need to check into other classes for swim lessons. I wish they were longer than 1/2 hour because I could really work out if they were an hour. I guess I will have to see the schedule for the summer to determine more.

Moonrod: I hope you are a loser tomorrow and I mean that in a good way.

Petra: Thanks for the welcome! I have heard of the software but haven't tried it yet. I think WW has a thing on their website that I can sub to that will keep track of stuff for me.

Everyone else: Hope you are having a good day!

Lisa

PS..will someone take my snow?? I want to be able to walk outside!!!!!!

Just letting everyone know, my new grandbaby has arrived - he showed his beautiful face at 3pm today. Mom and baby(daddy too)are doing fine - tired but very happy.

Easy way to get my fruits and vegetables

My method of becoming more healthy is to eat more fruits and vegetables which doesn't leave me as much room or time for nervous eating. Surprise, it doesn't really work well to buy them and leave them in the refrigerator. So this week I started a large plastic bag of fruit salad and a large plastic bag of cut up vegetables to add to lettuce. Then I made myself of schedule of when I'd eat each. It's working for me. ;)
