I have sorted all the craft stuff into a new shelf/tub thing, run the dishwasher, fed 5 kids breaky, and got a load of wash in. I think it is chicken soup for the kids for lunch, it is the fav.Easy for me.

Hey everyone. Well, we're all in a new sort of challenge for 2005. There seriously is no reason why I can't be under 200 in a year from now. Thirty pounds in one year is nothing - less than 3 pounds a month!

Well, I'm sure I've gained a few pounds over the holidays but I haven't checked in a few weeks. I've really slacked. I'm signing up for kickboxing again next week. I want to give myself a couple of weeks to get back into the cardio before I go into the class, or else I'll be horribly sore!

Jodi: Which WATP video do you do? I just have the 3 mile which I like. I don't get sweaty and stuff like I do when I exercise normally, but it's still a nice, low-impact workout that can be done at home. I want to try to get DH to do it with me. I want him to know it's not a sissy workout!

Did any of you see the new issue of People magazine, with the weight loss stories and pictures? Doesn't it just look SO darn easy? What I like is that most of those people, it took them 3-6 years to lose that weight so it definitely didn't happen overnight as it often seems.

The past few weeks I've had such a terrible diet. I let myself eat everything and anything that came across my hands without thinking. Lots of chocolate.

Are any of you doing anything "different" this year? A new diet plan, a new class or exercise, etc?

Girlie

PS:

MyChoice: How did you like Love, Actually? I love that movie! Also, if you liked John Q, you'd like Man on Fire if you haven't already seen it!

Hi Girls,
Just a quick one for now. I have been so busy with work today and more to go. I am so glad to hear how upbeat and motivated everyone is.
Girlie- I have had a terrible eating plan also but am now following the AHA diet plan. They have a great "healthy lifestyle" section as well as a plan call Delicious Decisions at www.americanheart.org. I've been diagnosed with High blood pressure and high cholesterol during 2004 and am medication dependent so following the AHA plan is great. We can all do this.
Holly- You are so busy, busy all the time. I am glad the funk is lifting a little and that the kiddies are ok. Mine were glad to go. It was enough time home with Mommy. Time to get back to their friends.
Jodi- You are an inspiration to me. You sound so motivated. I would love for you to share some of your menus with me. I'm always looking for ideas. Can attachments be sent in a post? If I can I'll attach my AHA plan if anyone is interested.
Debbie- Take care of yourself and great news to get back to fitday
Susie- I love the way your posts read. You work through your issues through them and that helps me. You will do great in the class just like the last one. You can do it.
Have a great night all.
Suzy

Question Help!!

Hey everyone I have a techno guestion
I tried to get a weight tracker. I was able to get it copied and pasted, but it never de-coded. What did I miss?
I viewed my new watp dvd. Just to check it out. I CAN DO IT!.... when I can get rid of this cough

suzy1965: I'm going to check into the AHA diet. I'm not much for fads.
I am pretty tired of trying 1 diet after another. I have no health issues and take no meds, and would like to keep it that way.
BIG HUGS

Hello,
I didn't think I was going to make it here tonight and then I thought, you know...I don't really need to do a load of wash, I need to give myself sometime on the computer with my support team--YOU GUYS!

I think it's the first time, in a long time, I didn't do something that I thought I should.

I did very well with the phone calls today. I made about 10 of them and I have some people who will be calling back. I think I'll be handling them on my own. My manager seemed ok with the way I handled the calls. That made me feel a little better.

I've still been dealing with a little bit of "homesickness" about my old place of employment, but I found out something today that helped a great deal (I've been praying to be able to get over that I used to be the best at what I did and be able to move on in my new position and not look back). I found out today that most of the office workers at my old job will be laid off by March 31! I KNOW that He was watching over me.

I went for a 45 min walk tonight. I usually do a 30 min walk and then some weight training, but I felt like I needed to just concentrate on relaxing with my walk and I really got into it. By the time I was finished, I could feel that my neck had relaxed and that my shoulders didn't feel like they were up around my ears1 (anyone else feel like that after sitting at a desk all day?)

Holly: I think you handled the funk quite nicely. I bet if you think back you would have noshed on something more than just cheese and cracker and it would have been a lot more than you ate! Look at it this way..you did the WATP tape..you could've skipped it too..but you didn't! GREAT JOB!

Suzy: Take it easy with that cold. How did the house cleaning go? I think it was a good idea to watch the tape through before doing it.

Girlie: We will be here cheering you on as you take off that 30 pounds. Like you said..it's 3 lbs a month..you can do it! I didn't like Love Actually. It took a little bit for me to get into it, but it was really good at the end. I've seen Man of Fire...I see EVERTHING with Daniel Washington in it..he's pretty easy on the eye! My husband knows of my secret crush on him! lol

Jodi: You started your day out great with the workout. How did the rest of the day go for you.

I'm headed to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Susie

Yesterday was all about shaking out of the funk. Today is all about getting in a new groove.
That fudge fairy attacked when I had tea in the aft. The rest is getting pitched out today. My goal for today is a no cheese, no sugar day. I need to cleanse the body of those critters.
I weigh in tonight. I will start a new challenge with TOPS. I will see how I did on the NO Gain Holiday Season.
I will do yoga this morning and then WATP at 2 this aft. I stayed up too late reading again.I need to to get to sleep earlier. My dad gave me a hilarious book on Fairies for Christmas. I read it last night. For a chuckle look for Lady Cottington's Fairy Album.
OH, I got a phone call from the local library last night. They had put a sign up sheet up for a reading group. They had such good response they are forming 2 groups. Woohoo! Who knew that there were so many bookies in this tiny hamlet. We meet on Thurs to set it up!!
The kids and I took down all the decorations last night. The tree will, alas, come down today. sigh
DD cried a sad small cry getting on the bus today. DS is all keen. They are learning about money and Japan.DH taught him to count to 5 in Japanese. DS was thrilled.
I just put the baby down for his morning nap. Time for some yoga. I have a stiff neck again.

Susie~good for you for not doing the "shoulds" and taking care of just you!!!! For doers it is a hard things to do.You gotta take care of your soul too.

Suzi~ if you go to the advanced post and scroll down to manage attachments you can try to attach your plan.

Thanks for the boost the last couple of days.

Have a wonderful day. I will pop in later.

Hi Ladies,
Glad to see everyone so upbeat. I struggled somewhat with a stress eat yesterday. Work got dumped on me from all directions on top of my own agenda. I was up until 11:30 last night still finishing up. So I grabbed the first thing I could find- Crunchy M&M's- which were (notice past tense) leftovers from new years eve. Otherwise I feel I am doing well. I need to work on the moving more part of my plan. Have a good, no great, night everyone.
Suzy
PS: I'll attempt to attach the American Heart Association Dietary

Hello All,
It's poured rain all day and it's a cold rain. It took everything I had to go back out to the Y to workout tonight. I got through it, but I'm telling you, I would have loved to stayed on the couch.

Nothing sounds good for dinner tonight so I just had Cheerios. I didn't get to bed very early last night, so I'm making sure I do tonight.

I probably won't check in again until Friday morning. I have TOPS right after work tomorrow and then I go to my accounting class. When I get home at 9:15, I'm just going to drop!

Suzy: Hey, we all do some stress eating. Just pick yourself up and go on. Don't let a slip up be a reason to give up!

Holly: I wish I had your energy. Where do you get it from girl?!

Debbie: Glad to hear you stayed op and that you are feeling better.

Ok gals, I'm out of here. See you all on Friday!

suzy- we all have little slips just keep your eye on the goal! i'd be happy to share my menu's with you. maybe this weekend i'll have a little more time to post. hang in there!!

debbie glad you are feeling better!

girlie- i have been doing the WATP deluxe DVD which is WATP #2 (2MILE) and WATP 4. it is a combo so you can switch back and forth between the 2 or do the whole thing for a total of 4miles. i am so out of shape the 2miles is all i can manage right now. i'll keep working my way up though.

mychoice- good for you getting your walk in!! take care of yourself!!

Smile Good Morning Chicks!!

I am still a little congested, but feeling better. This is my 10+ hr day
so I dont have to worry about activity today. I'll be outside most of the day
It is cold but dry. I'm glad! yesterday I got caught in a cold shower and didnt have any dry shoes. the windchill was in the 20s. my feet froze. Listen to me complain our coldest days are nice compared to what I see on the weather for the north.

Girlie: you'll be up to four miles before you know it. great going!

Susy: Stress eating is one of my biggest challenges. I try to distract my self from food by sometimes I just cant.

Holly: Your life is so full, Girl you are a great inspiration!!! Thank you
for the tracker advise. I just got in too much of a hurry.

Everyone have a blessed day

BIG HUGS TO ALL
