It feels like Sunday. It is odd to have both kids home and no extra kids here for 4 days.
DS is doing better. It took me 7 hours to convince him to have an oatmeal bath for the itch. He amazingly felt better instantly. Little bugger.
DD is cranky and has a runny nose. Not a symptom of scarlet fever though. So far the rest of us are okay.
The tension in my neck is brutal and painful. I will be doing some yoga today.
I did NOT eat anything after supper last night. I did NOT eat any cookies. Much better.
I'll need to do a grocery shop in the next couple of days. I am doing a veggie tray for my family and a carrot dish for DH's.I found a lovely curried veggie dip I am going to try out on them.
WE stay in Christmas Eve and have steak and shrimp and get the kids to bed early, do all the wrapping and have a couple glasses o wine!
I iced the cookies last night and will do up plates today. They will be delivered tonight.

PS I just did a half hour yoga. its feels much better.

PPS I have 2 extra kids now. Back to the usual chaos.

Jodi~ glad to hear you feeling great!!!!!! It is a mild -3C today. I think we have a storm on it's way too. Enjoy your baking and christmas cheer!!!

Susie~I picked up a Janet Evanovich form the library. Very fun!

Sshambo~ Welcome!!!!!! Congrats on your loss so far. You are doing awesome!

How is everyone else!!!??????

HUGS!!

HELLO!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone! I'm sorry I've been gone for about a week. This past week has been TERRIBLE. No exercise, the eating has been BAD. I shall not give up though - I know I'll be picking right up and going about my business. I sort of can't wait until all the holidays are over and everything (including my routine) are back to normal! I can't imagine the holidays and having kids! Even more hectic...but fun I'm sure!

Kickboxing picks back up in January and I'll be signing up for the 8 weeks. I'll definitely need it. Also, I'll be back in the routine of getting up early again.

Shhambo: Welcome and congrats on the loss! How is it going with the personal trainer? What types of things is he/she having you do?

I hope to check in a couple of times over the long weekend. I am off of work until Monday! The good parts of working on a federal account.

Talk to you all soon!

Girlie

Hello,
I'm sorry to have not been here until now. It just seems like when I get home from work I'm so busy. I used to check the board at work (at my old job) on my lunch hour and such, but since I've just started a new job I don't feel comfortable doing that, so I have to get here in the mornings before work or when I get home.

From reading the posts it seems that some of us (all of us?) are having some trouble staying on plan (me included!) I think it's because of all the special goodies and how busy we are but you know what ladies, it's ok, we are still trying to do good, not eat so many cookies, drink our water, exercise when we can, and make time for it..mabye not every day but we are still getting it in there as much as we can. I'm very excited about Christmas, and I love New Years..seems like a clean slate doesn't it? While I'm excited about all of those things, it will be nice to get back to a normal routine....and you know we will..so hang in there and just do your best for now.

I'm off work until Monday and I'm looking forward to it. I'm home alone tomorrow and I have a lot planned. I want to clean the house and run my errands so that I can enjoy spending time with my DH when he's home and with all the people that we will visit the next few days.

I hope to address each one of you personally tomorrow. It's time for dinner, so I got to run.

Susie

We have some major snow here in my part of Ohio. We got about 10 inches and we also had some ice on top of that. I was off work today and DH stayed home too. We were in the house all day. DH did go out and start the cars. We live in an older neighborhood and have to park on the street. They didn't plow our street until about 6:30 p.m. When the plow comes down the street they make about 4 passes. Everyone goes out and works on getting there cars out so they can park on the other side of the street that he first plowed...then the plow comes through again and cleans the other side of the street. He does this twice. Everyone keeps switching there cars around so the plow can make a nice clean area in front of all the houses..then we all park back in front of our houses. It looks crazy when we are doing it, but if you don't then you get plowed in and you will never get out!

I'm confessing to eating a lot of sugar cookies and milk today! It's very dangerous to be in the house with all those cookies!

I can't believe it almost Christmas!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Holly: You have done well with staying on plan through the holidays..keep up the good work! I'm glad you are enjoying the Janet Evanovich books. I just finished her newest one. I love them!

Annie: I'm excited for you to start your new job. It's scary sometimes to start new, but then there is an excitment about it. Keep us posted on everything!

Jodi: You've worked so hard to get the ready for the holiday..enjoy! It's going to be a white Christmas for us here in Ohio!

Everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing you back on the boards soon.

Ladies..we are going to reach Onederland in 2005!

Susie

I couldn't sleep. Excited. Almost a full moon. The snow is glowing and the trees are making huge shadows. Now I am waiting to put wood on the fire before I go back up and try to sleep. I am NOT 4 or 6 but it is hard to tell right now.LOL!

Susie~ your car escapades are a riot.

Default Hi All!

Sorry I haven't been online much lately. I've been really depressed. I haven't lost any weight and quite frankly, I'm too afraid to even weigh myself because I know I'll probably have gained a few lbs. In-law wars have begun here and I'm honestly ready to pull my hair out and tell them all where to go!

DH decided that we should just spend the holidays without all the extended family and I couldn't have wanted to kiss him more. Last time MIL was here, she commented all day long on how messy my home was and how it just doesn't look like I've lost any weight. When she found out that we weren't having anyone over for the holidays, she mass emailed the rest of the family about OUR selfish behavior and that has started a rash of ugly emails.

I don't think I could get through this holiday season without my kids looking forward to it so much. They keep me going, but I would LOVE to be able to just stick my head in the sand and become invisible.

Hope each and everyone of you is having a wonderful holiday season and sorry to be such a bummer.

Nan

HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO

AND GOD BLESS!!!

DH is off today so the kids didn't wake me. I woke to the voice of a Mom in the hallway. OOPS! She got to see the frightening just rolled out of bed me.

I went to bed at 9:30pm to read. Nothing on the tube. I was restless.I got up at 11, wandered around the house, admired the beautiful tree shadows on the snow, played on the computer, went back to bed ,read for a while and then had glorious dreams of a red headed, kilted Scot tearing around the Highlands with me in tow. Yum!
I am not as tough and hearty as I think. My back muscles are seriously aching after 2 hours of snow shovelling yesterday.
I got tons of housework done.It looked lovely for about 2O min, LOL!
Once I finish my coffee I know there is something to do. I dont seem to care at the moment or am I able to remember what it is.

Jodi~you hvae a merry Christmas too!!!
Labchick~SO sorry abotu the wretched MIL> I was there a few years back.It leaves asick feeling in your belly.
Love and enjoy DH and the kids. Sounds like he is on your side and that is what really matters. Lots of Love and hugs coming your way!!!
Debbie~Youa re welcome for the snow. There is another foot or two to send now!! Merry Christmas!!!

Have a Glorious Christmas Eve!!!!

I'm so excited! It's almost Christams. I feel like such a kid! Speaking of kids, I just got back form visting our friends who have the 2 little girls that are the loves of my life! The 3 year old is so excited about Christmas. She was talking about Santa coming and how she couldn't wait to open gifts. She's really got me excited!

We will be with her and her family, our other friends Dick and Carolyn and there grandaughter, and my brother Sam and his friend James tomorrow for Christmas dinner. I'm so excited to spending it with my family and friends.

I did much better with the cookies today. I had 4 but that was it and I'm not craving them...that's really a good thing!

Holly: I can feel your excitment!

Nan: I'm so sorry about the MIL. Just try and get past it and enjoy your time with your family. I have no idea why that woman would want to be so nasty to you, other than she must be very unhappy with herself. Try to remember that and don't let her steal your joy.

It's very hard to stay on our plans and we all fall down sometimes. As Jodi said, we are all here for you when you are ready to get back on plan. We know you can do it!

Debbie: I love what you said about not letting one little slip do us in (can't remember what you said exactly..but I liked it!) I'm going to go back to the other page where I can see the post and write it in my journal as a remember.

Jodi: So what if those scales are up on Monday...you can make them go down again..and I know you will!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Susie
