Annie:
Welcome back and thank you for the update. Try to keep in touch as much as you can!

I'm not able to get on that often. It's been busy. These are my basic days this week: get up around 6am (5am on kickboxing days), go to the gym, go to work at 8am, go home at 5pm and get ready for my other job from 6pm -9pm and then when i get home I'm hungry. I tried not to eat a ton last night. Then I went to bed around 10.30p and got up and am doing it all again today.

At least I am doing well with the workouts plus am standing and walking around at my night job.

Sunday was my birthday and it was awesome. Did I say this already? DH took me to our local state park...we had a brunch there and then spent a couple of hours walking the trails, looking at bears, bald eagles and owls, feeding goats and watching the elk and buffalo and deer graze in the pastures. Very cool. And good exercise. Glad we got to spend a ton of time together - we're hardly seeing each other so far this week with the way my night job schedule is.

Hope all of you are well!

Hi Ladies...I hope I am in the right place. Is this the place where people wanted to get down to 199? Well, I had the most horrific awakening to get on the scale (w/out glasses) and think that I was 200. The next day, I put on the specs, and found that I was a whopping 223. And 223-That is how I feel-Huge. And I am ashamed to go to the mainland (America) to see the family because I just feel so bad to be so huge. Actually, it does not look all that bad (to me and my sig other) but I can see my brother's face when I get to airport. Now how is that for humiliation? I am the fattest person in my family, we are all small-avg frame, less than 150 lbs. Like many of you after 2 kids I was still normal: size 8, 125 lbs? I stayed there until the past 5 years or so when it creeped up slowly and padded itself to my a$$. Literally. Then 2 years ago it crept up a little more quickly (with the help of falling in love and eating 3 meals a day in expensive restaurants each and every day, with dessert, thanks) and BINGO, here I am in a mess.
What have I done? Talk a lot. Write a lot. Try diets for 2-3 days. Find excuses. Like, I cannot put myself through torture of Scarsdale if I have other little problems that need fixing. Ho hum. I have done great with portion size, more exercise than just breathing in and out, and I am totally off processed foods and bad carbs. Still I am stuck between 220-219.
Am I in the right place? Any suggestions?! Thanks to a wonderful bunch of chicks.

My Husband and I Drove Truck Longhaul For Years And Raindancer Was My Cb Handle. Yes They Really Do Have Them. Thats Where I Got So Fat. Always Been Heavy, But That Lifestyle Really Packed It On.

Holly: Hope You Have A Little Break From The Bad Weather. Its Cold Here Now. Oh Well It Is No Conparison. In The 40's Today.

Susie: How was your 2nd day, great I'm sure.

Thanks Debbie, that means a lot to me. Have you tried water with a little lemon squeezed in? That works for me.

I am extremely tired today.Short on patience. But the kids have been pretty good.
I have a pork roast and veggies in the oven.
I weigh in tonight.I am feeling liike I am down again. The roll on my back under my bra is much smaller all of a sudden.
Never thought I would see the day I would get excited about the rolls on my back. I j have a friend who calls them backward boobies.LOL.
Have a great evening!!

Hello,
Well, I'm starting to feel a little bit more at easy in my new job. Still doing a lot of training. I expect that will be the case for a while. I'm starting to interact with everyone some more. I think I saw a sign up for a carry-in in the breakroom for Friday. I'm going to look into that and try to particpate. Things like that show an interest in good relations between employees.

The one thing thats been so good for me is to keep working out during all these changes. It's the thing that keeps me focused, gives me energy and builds my confidence.

Holly: You are such an amazing woman! Shoveling snow, then washing the floor?! Makes me tired to think about it all! How did the weigh-in go?

Debbie: Sounds like you are doing well and that you are trying new foods. That's alwasy good!

Jodi: Did you think of anything for your 13 year old? I was told that boys that age want money, clothes and anything technical.

Girlie: It sounds like you had a nice time with your DH on your birthday.

Annie: It's nice to see you back and read your posts. Good thoughts and prayers coming your way as you make all these changes in your life.

Raindancer and Fatky: Welcome. This board is a wonderful place to find support. I know that I wouldn't be doing so well if I didn't make it a priority to get here. Having such a support group like this helps a person to stay on track. Because let's face it..we all have that inner voice that says to us "Just this one time one hurt", or "You will fail..you have in the past". Coming here as often as you can puts a new little voice in your head that says "You can do it", "Don't give in to that craving...it won't get you to your goal..keep focused".

Well ladies, it's about time to go workout with my DH and catch up on each others day.

I'll try to check in tomrrow sometime.

hello everyone!
well i just got home from DS's basketball game. crap they lost again. he is so bummed i just hate that. so after much deliberation i decided an MP3 player would be a good 13yr old gift. he likes music and the computer and gismos like that. DH and i are going out friday night to try and get all the rest of the shopping done. i can't wait. we are also going to celebrate our anniversary with no kids in tow just the two of us. it should be fun, i have already decided i am not dieting friday and i think i will have some good wine too. all this hussle and bussle lately i just need a little break, friday will be my day!

holly- good for you girl!! i hope the weigh in goes well for you! shoveling is an excellent workout you are so positive!! keep up the great attitude!

mychoice glad the job is getting more comfortable for you. pretty soon it will feel like you have been there forever!

debbie- great job trying new foods it is really easy to get in a big rut. glad your day is going well.

fatky- welcome! congats on the new baby. hop right in there are so many supportive people here! good luck on your journey!

Just 2 toddlers here today. Both napping!!! I went and got my colour done. I am almost salt and pepper. Thanks for those genes Dad!

My weight was the same last night which is still the lowest I have been in a year. Not complaining. I have been sampling a few cookies.
Today is DD's last day of school til Jan, tomorrow for DS. 4 of the babysitting kids are off for 2 weeks. I will just have my 2 oldies, who are just part of the family. We will be able to go skating etc!!!!!

Susie~glad you are settling in.I love your positive attitude!! Great working out too!!!!

Jodi~have a fantabulous time with your DH!!!!! Good pic for DS!!!!!!!! Hugs. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. How many years?

Fatky~ when I was nursing i used the Weight Watchers point system. You add 10 points for nursing. it was easy to keep track of. You may want to check it out!!!
