The Onederland Express - Hop on Here!! #6
Welcome to our new thread!! :welcome2: :)
Arabella - That does sound like a very nice New Year's Eve! Sounds so relaxing. :) Good for you for being so on track!! I can't wait to see where you will be come mid-summer. And thank you for the comments on my maintenance, so far to be honest I've found it fairly painless, just keep on keeping on basically, except I get to eat a bit more which is always nice! ;) I've maintained 6 months now. Susie - Throw that fudge out girl! :) I do that sometimes too, I just keep sampling it...I do try to keep a rough calorie count when I do that, but when it's something I just can't stop with I tend to feed it to the kids or just get rid of it. I have very few guilty feelings about getting rid of food, especially when mostly it's junk food anyways I'm getting rid of. I second Arabella though, keep really good track and drink lots of water and you may be surprised! Anyways as for me working today, and then have a study group at church tonight. Hope everybody has a great day! |
Our new thread looks so warm and welcoming..Thank you Liz! :)
I am able to get on today at work...about to take a break for lunch. I have some noodle soup, peanut butter and crackers and pears and water. Had a wonderful 2 mil walk last night with a friend..planning on walking again tonight at the Y. I'm thankful for that indoor track. I might do the treadmill tonight. Just depends when I get there on what I will choose (and maybe who I can watch on the treadmill...lol! ;) ) Liz: The fudge is gone. I only get it once a year (thank goodness!) I hope to one day be ok with throwing out food..especialy junk food. Thank you for sticking around here with us and showing how you turned your weight-loss into a lifestyle. AMAZING job for maintaining for 6 months! Arabella: You are 55 lb away from ONDderland and I have a goal to loose 52 lbs this year..those numbers are close....let's do this! We can and WE WILL! Carri: Did you watch BL last night. I'm excited to talk about it....I love the "No Excues" theme. Is anyone else watching? Hi Mel: I see you on FB...please drop in here too! Hi Dee: Looking for you to be here soon Hi Auntie G: Hope you will stop by soon. |
Hi Girls :grouphug: I hope your Holidays were wonderful :wreath: Ours were & I'm burned-out, I'm ready for a 3 day vacation w/o any stress, just sleep & playtime. We had our 4 grandbabes for 4 days here with us & those were the most fun days with them.
Liz :hb: on your 6 month maintenance! Carri :snow4: we got 6"-8" snow*, yes 6"-8" of fluffy*beautiful*snow* between Saturday-Monday :snowglo: DH & I are so happy. We'll go hiking this weekend in our snow-shoes :bunny2: & he ice-fishes & I ice-skate. Susie  A PBS dietician has lots of free-healthy/Diet Yummy recipes that I've made for food programs @ tops. www.zonya.com/healthy_recipes.html they are mainly sugar-fat free. My DH & grandbabes love everything of hers that I've cooked. Arabella :sunny: It is sooo wonderful to have everyone back. Susie & I are joining you with logging our daily meals :p Wed.= 3 c. coffee w mini candy-canes to stir, 1 vanilla soy-protein drink, medium chef salad, 2 bread-sticks, 1 c. milk, 2 c. green tea, 2 pork egg-rolls, Lots of water. Activities= shovel snow off deck & porch, walk doggies, walk 1/2 mile 3 mph on treadmill & tai-chi. Umm, does anyone have a 'elliptical trainer' @ home & do you love it, I want another activity to do? I wrecked a knee while snow-boarding 4 yr ago, I must avoid twisting my knee now & so I can't ski/snow-board anymore :( Talk to you all on Thursday, Dee :brr: 22* 2012 :sunny: ~~~Think Smaller~~Eat Smaller~~Be Smaller~~~ |
:newyear:
Okey-doke. Yesterday was good, got in all my steps and :yoga: I've been doing it at 6 when DH heads out for a walk. I dim the lights and put on soft music and that seems to make it more appealing. That's four consecutive days of yoga. I just logged my steps for the month, too, and averaged out to over 10,000 a day despite not getting my total every day. I was hungry yesterday and had a stressful afternoon. Could see where it might go off the rails but pulled it back. 2 boiled eggs 1/2 grapefruit sprinkled with pomegranate seeds Small bowl steel-cut oats with yogurt turkey-veg soup, 1 p. flax bread with 1 T PB 1/2 c. tamari almonds (this was the thing that could have turned into a binge. Didn't intend to eat so many but still... could have been much worse. Chicken-broccoli Alfredo, heavy on the broccoli. 1 small beer, 1 small glass red wine. (I haven't been having a drink most nights. I think that was probably the stress again.) Dee, I love hearing about all your exercise! I do tai chi too, although I haven't in a while. I do Taoist style but would love to learn Yang. I don't have an elliptical at home but I like the one at the gym. I think I'd recommend it. Susie, you are ON, girl! Let's see now... oh my! That's just a pound a week -- surely we can average out to that. And, of course, if we get serious, we can probably make our goal well ahead of schedule. :D Liz, it's pretty obvious that you've made the adjustment to healthy, non-obsessive eating habits. That's where we're all aiming to go -- thanks for showing the way! OK -- going to go put the laundry in the dryer and get to work. Let's make this a good one! |
Morning All - hope you all had a great New Years ...we hung out with friends till 2 in the morning, drinking and eating, haha ...great times :D but I did something to the ligament in my left knee and it has been giving me troubles off and on since then ...I woke up with it tucked under my other leg on new years eve and it has been trouble ever since, hope it just works itself out.
I am SOOOOO jealous of you guys that got ( and are getting snow ) ...our Winter has pretty much sucked so far ...warmer temps and little to no snow...I want my Winter !!!!!! :coolsnow: Liz - thanks for starting the new thread, I never pay attention to the numbers but I know we always go really high...I also want to throw in a compliment to you about you sticking to maitenence...they say it is harder than losing it...so good for you girl !!!:hat: Susie - yes I did watch BL Tues night and I am excited about the new theme too, and it is RIGHT up my alley...haha ... Arabella - Sounds like you are getting back on track and doing a great job, yes 2012 is our year !!!! I am with ya !!! :cb: Well I have started back on and am doing my usual slow approach at first so I dont feel like crap and get a ton of headaches...so here we go girls !!!! Have a great day everyone !! Carri |
Well..the fudge caught up with me. I had a .75 gain at TOPS last night.
I will get it off this week plus more, so that I can keep my average of 1 lb loss each week. I really thought I would be in worse shape than that, so maybe I didn't eat as much as I thought or I moved more than I thought. I'm back to using my Lose It app DAILY! That has been a good tool for me. Busy weekend for me. I have a church brunch in the morning, then getting my hair done and then we are going out with friends that night. I'm planning on getting started back to working out on Sunday afternoons at the Y this Sunday. Carri: The slow approach is good for you. You want to feel good and I know when you quit the sugar all together you have bad headaches..so slow is good. How are you feeling? Liz: You mentioned a bible study in one of your posts. What are you studying? Arabella: I have been doing 10 min of yoga in the morning and 10 min at night..because you inspired me to do so...and I feel so much better! Glad to have you join me for the weekly average 1 lb loss challenge. I am going to try to lose more than that but I will be content with that. If I do that..it's 52 lbs gone! Dee: I don't have gym type machines at home but I do use the ellipitical at the Y and I love it. I don't do the incline very steep. I see people do that and if they think about it, they aren't working their total leg and buns...i want it all sleek and sexy! ;) and it also helps the knees to not be so steep. Ok..got to get back to work. |
hey everyone! i think i'll hop on the onederland express... i'm hoping to get there by my birthday in october! 60ish pounds in 9 months is entirely doable :)
|
:welcome: to Mandy. This is a great thread and these ladies here are so supportive. We come here when we are doing well and we rejoice together and we come here when we aren't doing so well and we support each other and help each other get back on track.
I find it helpful to post daily if I can. We had a great weekend. It was busy with all the things you have to do on the weekend but still a great weekend. I even got my car sweep out and wiped down inside. I know that Carri and Dee and Arabella like the snow but I sure was happy with our 50 F degree weather this weekend. I have been having a hard time logging my food (here and on my Lose It app), so I started doing it again today and I will share it tomorrow. I love the Lose It app because I can put in a goal and it tells me how many calories I can have daily (based on my current weight and what I want to get to and how many pounds I want to loose each week) and I can easily see if where I am in that calorie count. Dee: Your hot tub area sounds like Paradise! Our neighbors have a fire pit and they are all sitting outside tonight around it. Sorry to hear that you can't get the elliptical right now. What about getting some hand weights and a exercise ball and doing that? You can do circuit training 3 times a week using those items for 20-30 min. If you need some ideas let me know. I have done classes like that at the Y and they are a workout! The way it works is you do something cardio for 2 minutes...like walk or march in place or do jumping jacks or squats or lunges. The the next 3 min you do something with the weights working your upper body. Hello to Carri, Arabella, Mel, Liz and Auntie! Looking forward to your posts! |
I'm about 10 lbs away so I hope to be there in March sometime :)
|
Good morning All, hope you all had a great weekend...mine was pretty good...didnt feel so well yesterday, lots of bugs going around here at work so I guess it is only a matter of time ( knock on wood ) , didnt lose any last week but I didnt figure I would since I am just slowly creeping back in for a couple of weeks.
Susie - I have a love/hate relationship with that Lose It app ...sometimes I just love putting things in there and other times I find it lengthy and annoying...but either way I know it helps. Dee - the hot tub does sound nice ...I could never have one where I am at now though, too many neighbors, I need to move out into the country and get away from everyone. Hi to Liz, Mel, Arabella, and Auntie G !!!! Hope you all have a great day !!! Carri |
thank you susie and doodles for the welcomes!
happy to say i've got a plan in place. an old plan, but it worked in 2011 to help me lose over 50 pounds (in about 5 months).... i'm hoping that means it can help me lose 60 pounds -and get to onederland!- in 9 months (ambitious i know, but 9 months from today is my birthday... it's really a 2012 goal, but it would be nice to reach it by my birthday.) :D and if i don't hit 60 pounds lost, then i won't cry because i'll still be down several more pounds, and that's something to cheer for. over the last few months i've expanded out of my size 18 jeans, and i'm hoping to squeeze back into them by the end of the month. :D |
Arabella - I don't know about non-obsessive but hey it's working so whatever!!! :D
Carri - Thanks!! And yes I want winter too, Jacob is so excited to do snow angels and so far all he's been able to do is flail around on the lawn, when there was a little dusting of snow on it. he was convinced he did a perfect angel though despite not being able to really see it. :) Mind you I did enjoy our super long bike ride on Saturday in warm temps!!! :dizzy: Susie - It's a study about how we as a congregation can work to be more welcoming and inclusive with lesbian/gay/transgender people at church....it is about what the bible has to say on it and we're watching a video on it which is supposed to be very interesting - I don't remember what it's called. I'm going to be helping to facilitate small groups so our meeting was about the facilitation process (I've never done it before), our first session with the general participants is this Wednesday. I'm quite excited to see what the feedback is like! Welcome Mandy!!! Sounds like your timeline is reasonable, and like you said it doesn't matter as long as you're headed in the direction of your goal!! Good luck! drivenbyambition - Welcome!!!! Anyways gotta run the kids are bugging me, lol....talk to you all later!! :) |
Hi Everyone  Well, this afternoon I taught a 'adult doggie obedience training session' & few people commented about 'crocus & hyacinth' shoots appearing in my flowerbed :o as they came inside, they typically shoot-up in March. What is happening to our northern winters
I'm going to cruise the web this week & hopefully read reviews from people who got 'really good' weight loss results using from practical, not gimicky diets & work-outs :exercise: If any of you all find/try something 'outstanding' please give us the scoop on it:goodscale Weight Watchers was reported #1 last week, Dash Diet #2 & South Beach #3 as the 'Best Diets nation wide' w/o purchasing the Diet Food Meal programs like J.Craig, Nutrisystem, etc. Carri, what is your fav site that you use for logging meals or inspiration? Susie, do you live near or go to the Columbus Zoo in the winter? I love Jack Hannah & want to take the grandbabes there this summer. Liz, what was the most helpful diet that you used while losing wt.? Mandy, keep up the positive thinking & your body will make your thoughts become a reality  :welcome2: DrivenByAmbition, Join us whenever you can stop-in :smug: 2012 ~~~Think Smaller~~Eat Smaller~~Be Smaller~~~ Have a Great week girls, Dee:goodscale |
Morning All ...one day down of no soda yesterday...and I am really craving it, but I know it is just empty cals I dont need :(
Liz - I think what your congregation is doing sounds great...so many churches ( like the one I grew up in ) dont even allow different lifestyles in and I think that is wrong...so kudos to all of you :hat: Dee - I do really like the Lose It app on my Iphone and that is what I normally use...I also frequent the WW message boards and they encourage me but by far I think watching Biggest Loser each weeks helps me stay on path...I am considering buying Chris Powel's new book, I like what he has to say about carb cycling. HI to everybody else, have a great day !!! Carri |
Two "have to do things" on my list today and that is to get here to catch up with all you lovely ladies and to go to the Y for my walk.
I'm here and I have my workout gear on so after my post I can shut down the computer and head out the door. Ladies, yesterday I just about threw in the towel with trying to lose this weight. Work is CRAZY with me working my new job and my old job--I did start training my replacement today. I hadn't had much water, my lunch wasn't satisfying and when I get home I ditched the exercise for milk and oreos! Not proud of this at all! I screamed, I yelled, I cried and I went to bed. This morning I got up, logged my calories from yesterday (I was still under by 25) went to work, kept my head down and plowed through. I took a cereal bar to work with me, had skinny burrito at lunch and drank my water..and here I am, posting and about to go out the door to walk. Now if I would just take a moment to breathe! ahhhhhhhhhhh.....that's better! I am looking forward to the Biggest Loser tonight--Carri..we will watch it "together". Carri: The soda is hard to kick but I know you can do it. Don't give in. I did on Friday and it has thrown me off track for a couple of days..that sugar craving is high from it and I'm back to fighting it off again. I know you can stay strong! Dee: I live about an hour from the Columbus Zoo. We go in the summer..haven't been in the winter. If you bring the grand-kids sometime, let me know...I"ll get my nephews and meet you there..and we can walk and walk and walk... Liz: Keep me posted on the bible study. Good for you for going on that bike ride on Sunday. Mandy: Good for you for having the plan in place. I'd love to hear more about it. DrivenbyAmbition: Welcome! Arabella and Auntie: We need you here with us! Ok..got to run...well...walk...see you all tomorrow. |
Morning Girls !!
Susie - What is up with Bob and Dolvette and their annoyance of eachother...that was a little crazy last night ...I didnt notice any of that last season but they really seem to be getting on eachothers nerves this year...I was glad the guy who left went home...but I did feel bad for him in the end...he should have turned it around in the house before he got voted out... Not much going on here...nose is stuffed again ...seems to be after certain meals that it clogs up...I have heard that it can be an allergic reaction to some food ( maybe dairy ), but I am getting annoyed by it ... Anyway hope you all are having a good day, talk to you later. Carri |
Susie - Good for you girl, you had a hard day and decided to get right back up and try again! And anyways - you were under your calories anyways (I always call that a win!! :)) Life is going to be crazy anyways, so you may as well just keep on keeping on! You can do it!!
Dee - I have always just done calorie counting, and that's what I've been doing in maintenance too. I don't restrict any particular group of foods, but try to eat healthy and include treats in small amounts! Carri - I agree with you about churches, my church is fairly progressive in that area and some people are very uncomfortable with it and have left - but I'm very happy with how things are there (as are the majority of us). Good job on the no soda - hope your nose is feeling better!! :) It is annoying when you can't breathe properly! As for me just working away....things are busy lately and I'm feeling stressed out! Too much going on with work and kids and just, everything. lol Oh well...I feel like I need a vacation already....groan....anyways hope everybody has a great day! |
susie -my plan is a simple one. i count calories using myfitnesspal and only eat between 1pm and 9pm (hubby and i are both night owls). i've found that IF works best for me. i eat a normal sized brunch meal around 1. small snack around 4. dinner's between 6 and 7. snack at 9. then bed around midnight. hubby and i will typically go to the gym either at 9 or 10 (when there's a weekly tv show on we want to watch) or before dinner. it's easy now because we're both home all day (most of the time) while he's on his winter break for school and i don't have a day job. side note: it's funny how nobody wants to hire you when they know you won't be around more than 6 months.
everything is going fairly well, minus a few false starts. white chicken chilli last night for dinner was great. i made sure to use the reduced sodium beans and broth. the night before i went over a bit because i had planned on rotisserie chicken then we couldn't get it... and we had to have steaks because it was the only meat thawed. it had been in the freezer for a while so to combat the freezer-flavor i topped it with some spaghetti sauce, onion and pepper slivers, and light mozz cheese. turned out very good, so i can't complain about going over on the cals. and the day before that i was trying to make something in the toaster oven, only it didn't shut off when it was supposed to and burned to a crisp - complete with a small (contained!) fire and lots of smoke. we were lucky the smoke alarms didn't go off. the day before that every time i went into the kitchen to cook, i dropped the food on the floor as i was preparing it.... unlucky! but today i had a light breakfast. grapes and a glass of skim milk... cause i plan on thoroughly enjoying the spaghetti dinner i've got ready to go. i've just got the sauce on to simmer. mmm. |
Hi All!
Busy days for so many of us; I know its hard to get here but I feel that this is what keeps me on track. So please help me by coming as often as you can. Tonight is weigh-in. I have no idea what the scales will say. I don't "feel" like I lost or gained..so we shall see. We are supposed to get snow today and tomorrow---I am thinking I might send it to Dee and Cari and I think Liz wanted some too? Cari: I noticed the Bob and Dolvette and their annoyance of each other thing too. I don't know why it is there. Maybe because they have different couching styles and I think I hear Dolvette say he has to beat Bob (I think he said that last week), so maybe its that Dolvette is making it competitive and Bob only makes it about the people he is working with? If I were at the Ranch, I would want Bob as my trainer..his style would motivate me more--especially when it was him and Jillian. It's not because Jillian would yell so much is was about how she did it--I always saw through it. She was preteneding to be tougher and not care more than she really did. With Bob, he is what you see. I will have to say that I think Dolvett is HOT! ;) How are you doing with the no soda? Liz: Vacation sounds good! Remember to be good to yourself in non-food ways when you feel that stress coming on. You have to take care of Liz in order to take care of the other stuff. Mandy: thanks for sharing your plan. I just took at look at your ticker and I see that you and I almost started at the same "place". You have done well..and I know you will keep going. I'm watching you to see how its done! :D Mel, Arabella, Dee and Auntie: Where are you guys?!:?: |
Morning All - still no soda ..so today is a week of no soda ...one week down...once I really get it out of my system I dont really care ...I love water anyhow and we have Ice Mountain delivered to our house monthly in the five gallon jugs that we put on top of a cooler ( like the one's at some business' ) and it really hellps to have nice cold water anytime you want...plus Ice Mountain is my favorite...
Susie - yes everyone knows Dolvette is an extreme hottie, haha ...I would also like Bob as my trainer...and I really miss Jillian...but I understand she wanted to move on...we did get about 3 inches of snow yesterday and last night and I LOVED it !!!:snowglo: Good luck on the weigh in  I am so glad I made it to Friday, we have a three day weekend because of MLK day and I am so thankful, need a break already  Hi to everyone and I hope you all have a great weekend !!! Stay OP !! Carri |
TGIF! I have a 3 day weekend too!! But I will most likely work a couple of hours from home cleaning up my work email.
Right now I'm doing one job at 100% and training my replacement and my other job at 35%. It was only supposed to be 25% but I kept track this week and it turned out to be 35%. It's ok..I will survive it! We didn't have TOPS last night due to the snow. We have a lot of "mature" ladies and I they don't brave the elements. So, I will just have to wait until next week--it gives me another week to work hard to show a big loss for 2 weeks. Carri: You are doing a great job with the no soda..it is hard to get off it but once you do it's awesome. You have done it before and I have faith you will do it again. Seems like you always have good losses when you don't have soda in the mix. I am happy you have your snow...so now can it be over?! :dizzy::^: It doesn't have to get hot but I would love to not freeze even in my coat! Have a great weekend everyone; I will be around off and on and hope you are too! |
susie - i got it done before thinking "i really don't want to be 300 pounds when i get married..." that was mid march, and by my wedding day (two months, one week later) i had lost 30 pounds and the day before my wedding i weighed in at 268 or 269, don't really remember, but was under 270, and thrilled that i could do it. i had a reason to lose the weight quickly and it worked well. i kept the momentum going after the honeymoon and got back into my weight loss plan and within 2 weeks had lost the 7.5 pounds gain from the honeymoon, and was back on track... by the time i had to move in august i had lost a total of 50 pounds. pretty much all of august was a free for all while i moved from VA to SC and got started working a new job. but i managed to re-lose the gain from that plus a few more pounds down to 246 and that was all well and good, but then birthday, halloween, thanksgiving, travels, christmas, new years, etc happened and i'm not entirely sure how much i've regained. but right now i'm just trying to re-establish my healthier habits (counting calories, reducing them slowly, drinking all my water like i'm supposed to, and exercising regularly)... then come february 1, i'm recording everything and getting back to what worked so well for me last year.
|
Jumping on the bandwagon here!
had a good day. Went for a walk and stayed on plan. Just need to avoid the late night munchie monster now. |
It is very quiet here. Where is everyone? I am having the hardest time getting my "game face" back on and I have no idea why. BUT..I won't give up. Every day I will try.
I will say I'm a pit disappointed as I was doing so well, but I must move forward right? Looking forward to hearing how everyone else is doing. Cherrypie: :welcome: Mandy: I think I will try what you are doing now: "just trying to re-establish my healthier habits (counting calories, reducing them slowly, drinking all my water like i'm supposed to, and exercising regularly)... " that is really the way that works. Thanks for sharing it with me! |
FEELIN GOOD!!
healthy eats today. well, mostly... my pb-honey sandwich on whole wheat was more calories than it was worth i think! but the chicken stirfry and brown rice for dinner was delicious and full of veggies and lean meats! and i clocked the bowl full at 500 calories. made it to the gym too! did 35 mins on the elliptical (and it said i burned approx 330 calories) and 25 mins walking at 2.5 speed, 3.0 incline burning about 150 calories (according to the machine). i hadn't been to the gym since just after thanksgiving! i was so worried i would barely be able to do the 30 mins plus cool down on the elliptical, but i managed that plus treadmill time to finish out the hour we were there to watch castle AND I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE I WAS GONNA DIE. so happy with that. :) going back tomorrow night to watch white collar! |
Gained, But Back on Track...That's Why I'm HERE!!!!
:carrot:
Hello , I have not been on the site for several months and am back up to 207. Holidays kinda got me. It could have been worse. At least I am working out and walking. Anyway, back on the express and moving back into Wonderland. I feel remotivated. I admire people who don't take a break but guess I needed it. I'm here now! Interesting...I forgot how to move the ticker...I guess I'll just leave it there for motivation!!!! |
hey ladies!
hope everyone is doing well :) mostly healthy (though on the salty side of things) foods today! greek yogurt, and chicken, and veggies and fruits... and a trip to the gym that made my thighs cry. the cross country trainer on the treadmill is a beast. the 12% incline is now my personal foe and i will defeat it! |
Good Morning Girls - sorry I havent been on in a few days...my weekends get the best of me and I dont think to get on the pc ...I have been doing so so, like Susie I am having a hard time getting into the mind set, which I hate ...I did have soda again this weekend ( confession time ) ...so another set back ..did weigh myself yesterday and thankfully am still where I was a month ago although I dont know how I am managing that, but I am very thankful ...
Welcome to the people who keep popping in ...can't keep up with it all ... Susie - Yes, we wont give up, just keep forging ahead and think of the future...my doc appt is 2/28 and that just keeps getting closer and closer, may have to reschedule, haha Hi Liz, Arabella, Auntie G, and Mel !!!!! HOpe everyone has a great day !!!! I am craving chicken salad ! :D Carri |
SNOW !!! Its dropping like crazy right now...we are only supposed to get 1-2 inches but it is coming down pretty hard so we will see ...had a good day eating wise yesterday...better than I have been ...bought some good low cal, high protein snacks for work so I wont be tempted to go to the snack machine here with the cookies and chips that I crave !! haha
Anyone else getting snow? Mel ? Susie ? I know you guys are in my path of it .... HOpe everyone is having a great day !!!!!! Carri |
good days make me happy... days with slips that i manage to account for and still stay within my calories seem to make me even happier :D today is one of the latter... and i'm feelin good after a trip to the gym!
|
Morning All - in another Winter Storm watch tonight, thankfully not until after we get home from work and I dont have to work tomorrow so I say "bring it on", haha
k-fy - good job on the workout and managing to stay within calories with a slip...I know it is hard to do ...your ticker shows great numbers, good job. Where is everyone else hiding? Cold keeping you away? haha ...Dont stay away because you aren't doing well ...its not keeping me away lol HOpe everyone has a great weekend !! Carri |
well had some good days this week and some not so good days. Hope I didn't do too much damage.
|
satine - my ticker is currently incorrect. probably by about 20 pounds or so (judging by the fit of my smallest pants) after a hiatus that unfortunately lasted several months. my first goal upon returning is to make it correct heh. we'll see how bad it is on feb 1 when i start back up my daily tracking of my numbers. right now i'm just trying to reestablish my habits.
|
Hi Everyone,
I had one busy week! I am currently training someone for my position, usually 2 days a week but we had a offsite all day meeting yesterday, that actually was very motivational. I am also doing 25-35 % of my new role while training this person and then doing the work on the days she isn't there. I'm getting a bit tired and it's showing, as I had a .75 lb gain at TOPS last night  All because I just haven't been making it to more than 1-2 workouts and really not eating enough but what I am eating isn't helping me to burn fuel rather to store fight. So I have 1.50 lbs to get back off to be where my ticker is and I AM going to do it this week and I will have at least 2 lbs off so I can get back on track with the numbers and where I want to be. I logged my food today and I am well within my calorie range. Tomorrow I need to work a little harder on making it more balanced. I'll get there; I feel the mind starting to work back to that "mind set". Carri: How you doing with the no soda after having some last weekend? It is a hard thing to get off of and then if you slip and just have one it starts the cycle again. I know it all too well. I know you can do this. So, you have a doctor's appt set and you want so much off by then? We are to get the same ice storm tonight as you are getting. I feel the same about it as you do, it doesn't bother me when I'm home and don't have to be anywhere. We also got the snow the other day that you mentioned and it sure was COLD! I can do without that bitter cold. Cheerypie: As you know this is a journey so there will be good and bad days. Let us know how it turned out for you. Visionary: I remember you. :) Welcome back! Mandy: How is it going reestablishing your habits? Arabella, Liz, Mel, Dee, Arabella and Auntie G: We miss you! |
susie- it's going well! i find myself craving the 'bad' stuff less and less frequently! slowly wean myself away from them was the idea, and it's working :)

ugh. I need to seriously regroup tomorrow
|
We have ice and snow this morning.
I am glad we don't really have to go anywhere. We might go to birthday party for one of our friends grandson this afternoon...he calls us Aunt and Uncle. I will be careful with the cake and such! I wanted to share a NSV (non scale victory) that I had last night and has set my mindset right for the day. Last night after we ate dinner (for another friends birthday celebration) my DH wanted to get a milkshake. He asked me if I wanted one. I thought about how late it was, how full I was and so I said no...made me feel awesome this morning! Have a great day everyone! Cherry: The weekend is a good time to regroup....you can do it! |
How's everyone doing? I have the Monday fog going...trying to get back into the working mode.
I'm having a great day though..all my co-workers keep commenting on how "thin" I look...it really feels great! So, note to self, wear these black pants and hot pink sweater more often! :D I have done well over the weekend with staying in my calorie range on my Lose It app. I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone. |
went to the gym today... tried running on the treadmill... did a bit of alternating.. one minute running, one minute walking. so proud of myself for running! :D this is like my pre-c25k stuff.

Good morning Girls - not much going on here, hanging in there ...
Susie - yay on the NSV for the milkshake and also for the compliments you got at work ...you are doing a GREAT job !!!! Keep it up. I actually brought my lunch today so I dont have to go out ( so cold ) and figure out something to eat...so that is an NSV for me, haha Been pretty dark and cold and dreary here the last few days...but I am think we might get some sun soon. You all have a great day !! Carri |
