Happy Friday!
The weekend is so close, I don't even have to stand on my tip toes to see it!

Yesterday, at PT, the therapist really worked me out hard. To look at the moves, they looked pretty easy, but to keep proper stomach, back and pelvis alignment...that was the tough part. When I got home, I planted all my tomato, cucumber, beans and lettuce plants. I also have some seedlings that will be ready to go in after Memorial Day weekend.
During my lunch hour today, I mowed both the front and back yard. After work, I'll be pulling dandelions and doing some trimming with the weed whacker. But don't worry, I'll have a chair or stool nearby so that I can rest when I need to.

It's so nice out...I wish I didn't have to work today so I could spend the entire day outside. After the yardwork is done, I'll take DMIL for a drive to the library for some books about things to do and see in the Upper Peninsula.

I also have to go through the OTC and Rx medications that we have and put any that have expired in a bag because tomorrow is our county's clean sweep day where we can dump off expired meds, old computer equipment and anything else that's not safe to just toss in a landfill.
I'm hoping to get a chance to relax a bit tomorrow and/or Sunday as I still have to finish the final Harry Potter book before I have to take it back to the Library on Wednesday.
I'm only a little sore today, and I'm in such a good mood (maybe from the sunshine and working in the yard) that I feel like dancing!

Shad - I hope you had a nice Friday with no arguments, and little or no meetings. I often think that animals act like humans and that humans can really act like animals. The penguin photos are adorable and really brightened my day. Thanks!
Mel - Bummer about the phones and doorbells being out. I hope they're able to get them fixed soon so you can have a good weekend. Please tell Jen that I hope she feels better soon, poor dear.

I'm glad your pain is subsiding, and I hope you feel even better very soon.

Thanks for the TGIF in the biggest font (like Shad requested)! You're absolutely correct about penguins...they can never be as mean as humans can sometimes be. What is it about the end pieces of meatloaf? Those are my DMIL's favorite too.
Ceejay - So nice that your house got cleaned while you were running other errands and enjoying lunch with your friend.

Be careful if you get on the ladder to trim the bushes. The meatloaf sounds so yummy!!
Annie - I hope the cable guy got there in time so you could still get lots done on your day "off". I am amazed by how much you accomplish. You're like a whirlwind. Do you ever sit down?
Ellen - I'm so glad to hear that you are seeing the doc on Monday. Sending you lots of hugs.

Remember we're here for you.
Happy - I'm almost tempted to ask Annie and Mel to come over and help me do a huge clean and pitch. I'm glad you found a system that's working for you.

I'm glad the bath is coming along. I've been wondering about the rapture starting tomorrow. According to the 89 year old Californian millionaire, it's supposed to start with a massive quake in Fiji and New Zealand that will cause ripples around the world. This guy has predicted the end of the world/rapture several times before and been (obviously) wrong...but he swears this is the "real" thing. Ya, riiiiight.

I know water aerobics isn't as good a calorie burner as walking or jogging or Zumba...but it's better than me glueing my butt to the couch. And I also know that 60 minutes of water aerobics probably burns as many or more calories than 5 minutes of walking, which is about all I can do right now. As for disability being at the State or Federal...you can get social security disability, but many states have state disability too. And they also offer medical insurance for low income people and seniors. In California, it's called Medi-Cal. Here in WI, it's called Badger Care and Senior Care. I agree that some cuts need to be made, but you can just leave the poor to die because they can't afford medical care or the prescriptions they need. I like the idea of being self-sufficient and solar panels. Do solar panels work on a cloudy or snowy day? I hope you get a little relaxing time over the weekend (even if you don't have time to post). Sending you

: to help you stay on track with your to do list, and have a productive (and enjoyable) weekend!
I've got a few loose ends to tie up before it's time to do a major smack down on some dandelions and other weeds!
Lots of love and hugs to all,
