OK, 2 of you went to the zoo? I'm getting myself confused here. Maybe I should go to the zoo. Maybe I should move into the zoo! LOL
Mel, I love Multi Grain Cheerios! Mmmmm... But they're a treat- I usually stick with plain bran flakes, even when I'm not on the wagon. That's my one healthy thing I can always count on. It was pretty cold here this morning, too. I'm always up to take my girl for a 5am walk, and I was thinking I needed to get some gloves out already!
Arabella, you're really making me want to go hiking! Things are just so complicated around here right now, I'll be lucky if I can take myself for a walk around the block. Well, I do that many times a day with my puppy girl, but we don't move very fast. I should really do it by myself, but now that my roof is leaking, it won't stop raining, and it's cold. Excuses, excuses... Anyway, keep up your good behavior! One day at a time... Oh, and yesterday was our 18th anniversary. Too late to trade him in, guess I'll keep him! LOL
Carri, I've decided to look at all these troubles differently- ya know, find the good in all the bad stuff that's been happening. So I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. It's either that, or they'll be coming to take me away, ha ha... (Dr Demento, anyone? Or are you guys too young?) I hope you enjoyed your weekend off, and you're back on today!
Back to business... gotta call some masons for estimates. That should be a barrel of laughs!
I did soooo good with my food for breakfast and lunch. We were out running errands after DH got home from work and it got late so we grabbed something on the way home. I ate Taco Bell for dinner...I feel/look super bloated and regret it. Blah, time to start over tomorrow!
Arabella - She's a german shepherd, mostly black but tan on her legs and some on her chest and face. Pretty cute if I do say so myself. Sounds like you're hiking a lot - awesome! And that brunch sounds very yummy!
auntie g - Yes Carri & I conspired to confuse you, we both went to the zoo! lol
Mel - DH loves taco bell and that's always a tough one for me because everything is so high calorie! Oh well like you said, start fresh tomorrow!
We had a good time at the zoo, all of the animals were amazing and DS had a great time running around like crazy. And I walked lots too...but by the time we came home it was so late we ordered pizza for dinner, I did my pineapple trick so ate my three slices. Thankfully I'm still pretty much in my calories, but no snack for me tonight, oh well!
Another sunny day here. Supposed to be warmish for this time of year, 60ish F. I'm just slurping my getting geared up to go for a run in the woods. Yesterday wasn't as easy as usual (what did I say?) but I persevered and did okay. Weight still not budging but it's bound to eventually. I can actually feel a difference in my muscles and DH said he thought I looked like I'd lost a little.
Liz, funny about the zoo -- DS went on a trip to the zoo on Friday. Our nearest one is a couple of hours away so he hasn't gone before. Must be some kind of zoo energy going on...
How come Auntie g and I get to do our roofs and you guys get to go to the zoo? Hmmmm?
Mel, hope you got a better night's sleep last night. Being tired just makes everything soooo hard.
Auntie g, good attitude! I find that the older I get, the more I look at life like it's a dream. It helps me not to get overinvested emotionally in things and let them ruin my life.
Carri, I could sing that song right along with you. My mom likes to sing it too and will do so at any opportunity. Which seems to be often, for some reason.
Morning Girls, I too have some last night dinner bloat ...breadsticks and lots of cheese sauce, boy were they good though ...gonna have to go home and get all of the crap out of my kitchen...I am doing good all day and then coming home and eating that junk, so not helping me.
Mel - I love Taco Bell but I get bloated from it too, I usually just get 3 of the hard beef tacos fresco style, they are only 150 calories each and it makes me feel like I had something I shouldnt have ...haha
Arabella and Auntie G - people do think you are crazy if you sing that song and they dont know it ...I have gotten many stares before ...there is a Queen song too called "I'm Going Slightly Mad" that also has the same effect.
Liz - Must have been a zoo weekend..we had a great time too, love seeing all the animals...it was like 62 degrees that day and perfect for all the walking I did.
G'morning! Tired again today. It just struck me that it could be because I've been having wheat -- usually a couple of pieces of Ezekiel bread toast. Which some people seem to be able to tolerate, but maybe that's my issue... Shall leave it alone today and see.
Beautiful day here today. I dropped DH off at the car rental place earlier and will make a point of enjoying my singledom this evening. Wild doings: probably take my mom for a leaf-peeping drive and have dinner.
Carri, must look up "Going slightly mad" -- why does it sound so interesting to me?
Mel, I'm doing okay - how about you? What a bunch of strong, silent types today.
I need to work on my plan a bit, lately I've just been eating whatever as long as it's within my calories. The quality is just not there - and I've been moodier because of it. Just now I almost lost it with Jacob and it's because I was so hungry from not eating since 7am! Mind you it's also because my days have just been so busy lately. Anyhow, I'm going to make a better plan and stick to it!
Carri - I love that queen song!! It sums up how I feel most of the time.

Morning ladies!
Arabella- I hope you enjoy the peace and quiet while you have it.
Carri- I feel for you, the past couple of days its been really hard to get up in the morning for some reason!
Liz- Def sounds like you need to change your plan, either adding more calories to your day or just modifying whats in it. Let me know whats going on with it.
I have been thinking about something too. I have a bowl of multigrain cheerios (with 1% milk) every morning for breakfast. I have always got a little bit of "sour stomach" after having milk (which I only have with cereal bc I don't like it on its own) and I was wondering if the milk is making me bloat? I wonder if I am a little lactose intolerant bc I get the same thing from ice cream sometimes?
Mel - I am lactose intolerant and milk always causes me gas and bloating, and usually diareah is the end result ...so I dont have it very often..or ice cream...
Liz - I have to do that once in a while too, sometimes I see I am staying in calories but the quality of the food I am eating is not good...makes me hungry quicker and more irratible from it, so I understand that...and how can you lose it on something so cute? haha ...your kids are so cute...their pics make me smile...
Arabella - it is a great song ( as Liz said too ), but I love Queen ...but yeah look it up I think we can all relate to it, haha...they are actually making a queen movie I read, and Sasha Baren ( cant remember if that is his whole name ) the guy from Borat is gonna play Freddie Mercury...I can actually see him doing a good job with that ...
Hi Auntie G !!!!!
Well we are having a pitch in here at work, but it is basically just sandwhiches and sides...so I can keep that under control pretty well I think....and try to stay away from the desserts !!
Rainy day here today. I slept in late - almost 7, which is pretty much unheard of around here. I need it, though. Still tired. I did a workout, though, watching Dexter and shall cling to plan.
I was too tired to do anything at all last night, just worked a bit while I watched BL and then went to bed. Today I'm going to try to take it a little easy, work a bit, putter-clean the house a bit. I'm taking a four-day weekend (it's our Thanksgiving) so I'm excited
Liz, it's so worth it to eat healthy! I feel like a different person when I do. So hard when you're extra busy, though. I know when I've got DGS over I'm apt to eat poorly if I don't make an extra effort.
Mel, why don't you try switching to lactose-free milk or soy milk for a few days and see if that helps? I had 2 pieces of ice cream cake on DGS' birthday and had major repercussions. I drink almond milk usually.
Carri, hey, we simulposted! Yup, your description sounds exactly like what happened to me after the ice cream cake.
