Yeah I think the two weeks of sweaty Bikram yoga did the trick! I know it's only a pound, but something about being in the 170s make me happy! 20 lbs to go to get where I want to be!

Alicia, I'd love to do Bikram yoga -- do you go to classes? They're really expensive here. $15 per, so if you went to 3 a week that'd be $45.
Ah, Moni -- I guess it's typically our own faults, huh. This weight loss business is difficult.
Arabella, they had a special at the Bikram studio I went to. $20 for 2 weeks unlimited classes. So I went like crazy! Now my 2 weeks is up, and it's $17 per class. I can sign up for 5 classes for $75. But even that is a bit pricey. Those classes are soooo worth it! I wish I could afford an unlimited membership.
Still holding at 179. I weighed again today. I am going to try and eat right and get some exercise between now and Wednesday. Maybe I can "will" the scale to move down another pound or two. It got freezing cold here in Austin the past two days, so I have not felt like exercising outside
.So -- low weight this week was .2 down from low of last week. 1.2 down from WI. I had a pretty sterling week so I'll be waitin' on the whoosh fairy.
I made more peace with eating less this week, got all my exercise. Had a lot of stress, though, and am wondering if that affected weight loss. But at least I didn't stress eat -- and next week, I'll deal with inevitable stress better.

Pretty disappointing. Felt like I worked hard and tried cycling my carbs and calories. Made it to the gym 4X. I think I need to get some more cardio in, even on the days I don't go to the gym. Looking into some DVD's. Other than the gym, I get very little activity - I drive to work and get in no walking. And I hate the cold, so I don't want to walk outside at lunch in this weather. Will aim for a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio every day starting tomorrow.
Well, I was doing great until I went to DSIL's Bday party. And then the whole last week went downhill. Why I always forget how miserable it makes me feel to be off-track, I don't know. If I could just remember that when impulse strikes...
Shall endeavor to do better. Thinking it must be time for a 21-day challenge...

Natamars, I think if we can just build some more exercise into our day it could make a huge difference. I'm tethered to the computer all day but I intend to make sure to get in some extra little walks and move around more.
Anagram, good for you staying strong through the snow-in! Perfect time to overeat but how much more enjoyable if we treat ourselves with better indulgences. Let's treat ourselves royally, huh.
Double bah - and I could quote your same words, Arabella, re remembering that feeling when temptation hits - I was doing "ok" until I hosted a little family group on Saturday. Lots of fun - but.....

Oh yes, reminded from time to time that this is an addiction I'm dealing with, substance abuse. The problem isn't the occasional celebration, which is good for the spirit, but the daily spillover that ends up feeling not at all celebratory.
I'm back on track after a Valentine's day splurge...
