It totally sounds better that way doesnt it lol

Got back from the dentist and I have THREE more sessions to fix my old lady gummies . . . I cant believe how much it costs to "maintain" me these days . . . another reason to be slimmer - less doctors and rubbish as things seem to work better . . .

I bit the bullet and hopped on the scales this morning. I'm not even going to tell what they said, I'm so disgusted.

I see you're all on a christmas challenge, my goal is to be under 100 by then, but at the rate I'm going I'll be closer to 150! No, I shouldn't be like that should I! Just pick myself up and dust myself off and try again for the 300th time!!!

Is there a fairy out there that has magic melting dust!!!

Here you go Barb!! A little whoosh fairy for you

I know its hard when the scales are going in the wrong direction All I can say is what I have been telling myself . . . its better if you get on the scales and know what you are dealing with - and know that you never have to see that number again if you decide now. Set a realistic goal for the Chrissie Challenge (I actually think mine is too optimistic . . . so all I want to do is to keep losing SOMETHING every week, I am not fussed if I dont lose the 18) and then go for it!

I need to get rid of at least 25kg that I found mysteriously this past 18 months, Its been hard to deal with that, but I can say that ANY amount of weight lost feels good Bit by bit we will all get there.

Barb, you've been through a lot recently, don't be so hard on yourself!

Have you set yourself any goals?

I have discovered (rediscovered!!) that with this dieting thing, one good day can roll into another just as easily as one bad day can roll into another! I feel if I can make it through one day doing the right thing I am motivated enough to do it the next day. And I think I have noticed that with others here recently when reading over the posts?

Unfortunately, I still haven't managed to stay on my feet if there is a little hiccup in my day! And these are the issues we need to train ourselves on!

My big jump is on Sunday!! Not sure how I am feeling about it yet...but I definately still want to do it!

Last week was pretty poor with my eating habits! I had to get through a freezer full of frozen left-overs, and with that I found myself lost in the afternoons without my cooking, and very prone to snacking!

But back into it this week, and I WANT to be good this week so I can enjoy my jump on Sunday. I don't think I'll make 90kg, but if I can just be good this week I'll take that as worth rewarding!

Anyway, must run! Good to see we all seem to be doing ok!

Woo Lindor how exciting! I'll look forward to hearing all about your big jump

Barb I'm so sorry to hear you sounding so discouraged as Danni says though, at least you know exactly where you're at and can set yourself some goals and go from there.

As for me, I'm very sorry but this is about to be a BLATANT showing off post. I weighed in last night and was gobsmacked to find that I'm down 2.4kg from last Monday

Had a good session at the gym last night, managed to increase my weights on a couple of exercises and did 40 minutes cardio. Tonight I'm going to do spin.

Oh wow Lindor that has come along so soon!!!! So exciting!!

Congrats Julia!!! I both hate and love that low carb works so well. lol It gets you used to those kinds of losses that no other 'diet' can provide darn it.

I have stuck to my plan for a whole 6 days now . . . and it hasnt been hard bcos it hasnt been an 'official' plan. My issue is like Lindor's . . . when I have a blip I rarely just move on. But life is full of ups and downs and eats will not always be 'perfect' so I need to continue to learn on that front.

Oh Vonnie, I hope you can get in to see the DR earlier (but I suppose if it was really bad they would get you in straight away).

My weigh in is tomorrow & I think I will gain too. I am blaming TOM.

Spoke to the mechanic, it's a minumum $300 repair (plus labour). I was expecting thousands, so that's not too bad.

Oh Vonni that sucks. As the others say, it surely can't be anything too serious or they'd rush you in but still, horrible to have to wait. Hang in there mate

Lila boo hiss for car needing fixing! I hate having to deal with mechanics, it makes me feel so open to being ripped off when I know nothing about cars!

Kel I get to start re-introducing carbs next week but just in the form of fruit and other veggies. I'm looking forward to having a nice crispy apple!

I did spin at the gym last night and that was pretty good. The instructor that took the class is a bodybuilder and I had to try hard not to stare at her arms, they're amazingly muscular and very impressive!

Weights tonight followed by some cardio. My energy levels seem to have gotten back to normal so I'll try for a longer run.

Kel -thank you so much for your kind offer - but I'm outside of Syndey so it's a little bit too far of a drive to get to Brisbane!

Julia, you sound like you are doing great.

It's weigh in day today & I am 108.5 - which is exactly the same as last week. I'm ok with that. I checked my measurements this morning & in 3 weeks I've lost an inch off my waist & an inch off my thighs - so that's excellent news. Anyway, going to the gym for the first time in 15 years is a way better acheivement than weight off the scales.
