YAY! Crowd Participation! :D

I think I might have to edit the post to have ya'll post these recipes or give a link to them. They sound good!

Cake: I'm liking the Shred. I did Day 6 today, so I'm telling myself that's 20% and I can keep going! Still on level one, but I'll see how level 2 goes.

JasonsLea: It always feels good to see the scale go in the negative direction.

So I did get off my tail and do Day 6 of the Shred. It is getting easier. I never thought I'd get to a point where I felt like jumping jacks were a break, but now those feel like the easy part. I'm getting my mind ready for level 2. I can't decide if I want to watch it before so I know what's coming, or just jump into it on day 11.

I have a little NSV: I was on the phone with my bestie. She's working out and trying to lose 20 lbs. She told me she went and got some healthy groceries, but that they probably weren't as healthy as what I get since I'm such a health nut. SO... my NSV = I'm now the health nut in the group! Who woulda ever thunk it? My friends look at me as the healthy one. And she's a very tall size 12, so I felt good when she said it.

:carrot: Go me! Now off to have my pita pizza and salad. Then, I'm making my advantages card. ;)

The Shred feels worth it! :D

Hello ladies, can I join in?!

I'm Chika, 26 in the UK. I've been big forever and I don't wanna be like this anymore. I feel like life is passing me by in a way and the shops are soooo full of cute clothes that only come in size 10 - I will fit into them one day. I'm at university training to be a teacher - in January I will need to start looking for a job for September 2010 and although I know I'm a great teacher, I know fat discrimiation is rife and I'm not going to put myself at a disadvantage.

I'm doing the Fat smash diet and loving the results so far. I started on 9/8/9 and I'm down 14lbs already. Yes 14 lbs in fifteen days! I started this part of my journey at 336 and I'm now 322. I've been plateauing for about a week stuck around the 322 mark so I've decided to give my system a little shock by having a cheat meal (fried chicken last night mmmmmmm) and then I'm going to go back to the detox for another nine days.

I look forward to finding out more about y'all.

Welcome miss coco! just hang in there you can do it

beaka i hope you feel better hun

i am sooooooooo sore went to the gym last night and took a step sculpt class which happens to be one of my favs. i dont even want to post my stats but lets just say I am over 237 lol ill be back in a few days.

THe good news is that even though the scale isnt my friend lately I honestly can see a huge difference in my body. Those squats lunges and strenght training are really do the dang thing. Everyone keeps telling me my butt is getting bigger LOL and for me thats huge because im more hips then anything though some men would argue that I have a big butt I dont think its that big.

Im hanging in there and I want to do the fat smash diet detox again myself but I have to really get my mind right for that! Its a great natural detox

beaka 09-23-2009 04:01 PM

Hi, Chika!!! Welcome to the group! I think teaching is one of the best professions ever! I used to be one and hope to get back into it. It looks like you're already off to a great start, and I wish you continued success! Just jump right in! Feel free to join in on the weekly activities I posted too! :welcome2:

Matilda: Hey! and thanks! Don't worry about that scale. You're right back on plan, and it sounds like you've got a lot of NSVs going on!

So ya'll I'm feeling a bit better today. I had to force myself to do the Shred this morning, and I only made it through the first two circuits. And I didn't get up and do it till late and was WAY late for work. I'll go hard tomorrow though. It will be my last day of Level 1!!!! I'll have actually stuck with something. I'm a little nervous about level 2 though and I heard level three is a BEAST.

AND: I have posted pics for the first time ever. I was planning to wait until 199, but check it out on my 3FC blog! WARNING: there is lots of fat, stretch marks, and semi-nekkidness

CakeBatter 09-24-2009 06:50 AM

hey ya'll i just realized I didn't ever post yesterday, even though i read everything! I WI today hoping to hit my 50 lbs but we will see....I gonna hit the gym before I go. I managed to end the week (yesterday) with 5 Flex Points...I have no idea how but I did! So woot woot! if I hit my 50 lbs today I will be taking pics for my goal album and setting a new goal of 5-10 lbs...he-eeeeey!

Beaka - I am so proud of you. I for one have not bought the dang thing yet. Get, Get, Get iiiiiit! I am gonna check out your pics at home this evening cause I am work now and I can't see them....smooches

Matilda, Got a big ole butt, OH YEAH! (in the good way :D) hehehe

Miss Coco - Welcome!!!!

Matilda08 09-24-2009 11:50 AM

Cake LOL i know i know the sistas and butts.

Beaka thanks for the encouragement.

I did 30 mins on the elliptacle lastnight and I am starting to really enjoy it. I get such a great workout in 30mins. I feel great after doing it. I remember over a month ago I couldnt even go longer then ten minutes and lately ive been doing it with more resistance and more incline.

I weighed in at 240 today but was up to 245 last week so im back in there. Have a great one girls

Miss Coco 09-24-2009 05:50 PM

Hello Ladies!

Thank you for the warm welcome, I love this forum! the diet is going well - I love the fat smash - I'm still doing Phase one - I thought I'll push for another week then I'll go up to stage two.

Beaka - I love the challenge. Today I cooked Jerk Tofu and rice and peas - Amazing. I didn't really use a reciepe just made sure the tofu was well pressed, seasoned it in Jerk marinade and grilled it and then cooked it down with onions, peppers and tomatoes. I'm still getting used to the brown rice, but I soaked it before cooking and it made it a bit better to eat.

Does anyone do Zumba? I'm thinking of purchasing the DVD but don't want to waste my money.

beaka 09-24-2009 07:58 PM

Cake: I hope your WI went well today!!!

Matilda: Good job with the elliptical. It's my gym favorite.

Miss Coco: Glad you liked the recipe! It sounds good. I have yet to master working with tofu. Are you a vegetarian? Oh, and I usually goil my grown rice in broth instead of water for more flavor. It makes a big difference. I've tried Zumba once. It was ok, but I didn't love it. I think you'd like it if you like dance.

So I've been home all day. I woke up and my body was NOT having it. I was a sniffling coughing mess. I plan on going back to work tomorrow. I think my body just needed some rest. I did do day 10 of the Shred this evening. It felt good to sweat. i gave it my all since it was the last day of Level 1. I'm about to get my Grey's Anatomy on though. Hope you ladies are well! :)
