CC: I am doing the SF with you. I ate waaayyyyy too much yesterday. I don't want to see a number 2XX on the scale so I know I need to do this. I am going to do it for today for sure, I am not sure about tomorrow. I may do it for each day I flubbed up on the weekend. Let me know how you do. Don't forget to eat a piece of fruit for a snack so you don't get sick.

Holly, bless your heart, I think you must have gotten what Mandy had b/c it is not shaking as well as it should.

Well, we bought Zeke (the youngest) a truck over the weekend. It was a good deal. We gave $500 for a one owner 1994 Dodge Ram. It needed a battery. But, he is not going to be able to drive it right now b/c he cannot drive it alone and I want him to "earn" it. I wanted to get it now so he would have something to do to keep him occupied. As I discussed before, I know he gets bored.. so that was my thinking. You would have thought he got a new one. He was soooo appreciative.

I got 2 compliments this weekend...... both of them from people I would have not thought would even notice. One was a doctor that I worked for formally..... who is about a size 2...... but she said I looked phenomenal! Woo Hoo! And the other was Wayne's boss---- first of all he did not recognize me..... and then he said if I lose the other 20 pounds I may lose my DF b/c a skinny man may swoop me up..... which was not appropriate to say (in my opinion), but it was meant as a compliment. I needed that boost after binging all weekend.......

Have a good Monday. Holly, be careful and don't push yourself too hard. If it were me, I would take it easy until the day after your last day at work and I bet those last 5 pounds will fly off!

I ate too much chocolate for sure but I only 750 calorie in real food so maybe it all worked out. I am going to start another 7 day food log challenge if anyone wants to join me. I dropped 3.1bs last week of course I was up 2 the week before so technically its only 1.1.

Oh about the tires, I only Knew that because hubby had just figured it out a couple months ago...lol I am going to Leesburg Bikefest on the 25th and to Disney on the 29th(my birthday)so I have to stay on track till then. Have a good week every one!

good evening! Wow, that was a great deal on the truck Tammy, and I'm glad that your son was appreciative! and I do respect your advice on taking it easy...my sinuses were pounding again this afternoon and congrats on those compliments, even if the second one might have made you a tad uncomfortable..

holy cow on dropping over 3 pounds last week, Mandy! way to go!

How did your day go, ChopperChick? oh and I forget if I congratulated you on selling the extra bikes.

have a nice night!

Mandy, good luck with staying on plan. I am going to give it my best shot to stay on plan until I leave for Vegas. If you look at my stats, I have been at the same weight since 4/1 when I won the bet. I have been playing with the scales so I need to quit. I got to get this thing done! I think when I get compliments it makes me stall...... I have to quit that.

CC, sorry I forgot to tell you Congrats for selling the bike and banking the $. Are you just going to hold onto it until you find another that catches your eye?

Holly, take it easy girl..... don't push. I have no doubt you will get those last 5 pounds gone when you lose the sorry boss and the stress he brings..... not to mention the sweets calling your name 8 hours a day. Get well first!

Good Morning Ladies.

Well, I did some damage control yesterday and I got rid of the weekend "water" gain or whatever it was. I am on track now and I am not going to get off track until we leave for Vegas. I am going to keep a food log and put it on Mandy's thread that she started.

CC- how was your SF day?

Mandy- I broke down this AM b/c of the coffee talk and had an Almond Joy lattee...... it was good. Of course, I had most of the fat stripped from it. I won't have it every AM though b/c I am sure it is a lot more calories than my normal black with Equal.

Holly, how are the sinuses this AM?

Did anyone read the tread that someone started saying they wish they had never come to 3fc b/c of the people bragging about weight loss and losing so quickly? It was brutal for a little bit. I am glad I found this thread and you ladies-- I feel like I can share the mountains and valleys-- without hurting your feelings or making you jealous. Everyone has a little jealousy, but not to the point of "hatred or holding a grudge" for someone losing weight.......

I have got to get to work. Have a nice day.

Good morning chicks! Hi Tammy The sinuses are draining!! yay!! I am going through boxes of Puffs Plus like crazy but it is a good thing! I am also going to try to drink as much water as I can pour into myself today, to help thin the stuff also.

Yes, i just read that thread this morning, I was afraid the mods would close it due to hurt feelings! but it got resolved in a friendly way. I am guilty of being envious of just about everyone on this board for one reason or another..even if they weigh more than me, I like their hair better, or they have alot more motivation than I, or they live somewhere warmer, or the fact that they have an exercise room I have no bounds for my envy, LOL

I have off today, and it is sunny and going to warm up to 50, but as my bike is still having a sleepover at the mechanics (research new tires, new fork seals and oil change), that nicely forces me to do things here! Like first, while it is still frozen outside, I need to go through my file cabinet and purge old stuff, make some new folders, and file the paid bills from the past few months that I've just put in a pile.

when it warms up outside, I need to start on the outside stuff. Picking up the litter from winter, raking, etc. THat will be many days' worth of work but I'll try not to get overwhelmed, just tackle one section at a time, then I can admire that small part and feel instant gratification

has anyone ever rented one of those electric rotating broom/things for the yard? Can a non-mechanical person operate them?

Oh and I did Day 2 of Level 3 today. I won't disgust you with how MUCH my nose ran

Yeah, all of us are guilty of some form of envy..... I envy smaller framed people b/c I am built like an Amazon woman......

I forgot to tell you on the HD forum my DF learned how to fix my first bike's leaking seal (1996 Honda Shadow 1100)--- use the negatives of some old films from pictures you sent off....... slip it down in there and it works like a dream. Of course, it does not replace a mechanic, but if you need to get it done ASAP, it works.

I have not heard of the rotating broom thingy.....

I have done part of my yard work....... I need to do more though.

I am getting back to work. I have been on hold for 15 minutes now..... have a good one.

Okay, first of all..... dang I post a lot..... but it seems to help me with your support!

I was reading another thread and it was a little "complicated" however the concept was good..... are you ladies in for a July 4th challenge? We could just set a goal and encourage each other along----

I would like to set mine at being at 190, I know it seems low..... but I have a 2 week vacation in between there....... That is 7 pounds away from where I am now.... actually 7.4 to be exact.

Are you biker chicks up for it? I know it is hard when we go on rides to eat right.... but we all seem committed to exercise..... we can set a low number and make it! Lets do this....... Hawt Biker Chicks!

Okay, I am going to do kettlenetics before Biggest Loser comes on (that is my 2nd and final brain rot).

Tammy - I love it when we post alot! why the heck not!

I would gladly to a challenge. I would have liked to have tried the one Mandy spoke of but when I was sick, it was the last thing on my mind. I will be able to start on Thursday (as we know tomorrow is the last day of the place of temptation)

Well, the 'little' inside job I had today, the filing of paid bills and taking care of the filing cabinet??? FOUR HOURS but everything's shipshape. I even was able to make a call about a HSA account that we haven't even touched for 2 years, and with that money paid off three of college son's doctor's visit bills (physical, immunizations, clinic care when he had the flu) so that was great.

Hey, we got a letter from First Bank Card, we've had a Visa account with them forever, and they said 'because of tough economic times' they were raising our APR for purchases to 15.99%!!! from 9.99%!! So I called and found that you can request an account review, in writing. So that is exactly what I will do! I know that in the fine print of any credit card agreement it says that they can change the APR anytime they want, but we always hope they don't.

Oh, and no luck with getting anything like a warranty coverage with my Avon tires. Soooo...prices for two new tires, mounted and balanced, with tax - about $270 for Pirellis, about $320 for Metzlers, about $350 for Avons but good tires are a necessity aren't they. If we weren't spending money on making the bikes road-worthy, we'd be putting money in to the cars, so whatever.

that's it for now have a nice night!

good morning! it is so nice to wake up at 6 and it's light out, and I can hear birds singing. so wonderful!

Just finished doing Day 3 of Level 3, and it's triggered a huge rush of gook from my head and ton of coughing. Hope it's over soon, maybe a hot shower will help.

have a great day chicks!

Holly, Happy Last Day at the Winter Job! Woo Hoo! You made it! Sorry about the gushing out gunk and the coughing after exercise...... at least it is coming out....

CC, you must be really busy....... we didn't hear from you yesterday.

Mandy, I broke down and had another "Almond Joy" coffee today. It was made with skim milk and sugar free everything...... but I need to be saving my $ for Vegas and I don't need to get in the latte swing of things again.....

I begged DF to get on the scales (he thinks he is gaining and he won't weigh regularly)..... but he had lost another 6 pounds. Granted he has a lot to lose-- if he tries really hard he can be under 300 pounds by our Vegas trip, so that is his goal. Mind you-- he has lost 77 pounds and not hit a lick at a "snake"/walk/dvd exercise-- anything. BUT, he is not staying in the recliner like he was before. So, I will take that. I am hoping that when we go to Vegas and walk around, I can convince him to walk with me in the evenings.

Good Morning......

Shoot don't think I have logged on for a couple of days, it has been really busy and Tuesday after work we got to go riding, actually it was practice day at the race track and DS was taking his car up to practice so we rode there and watched then rode home, it was such a nice ride

Well again I have been getting bare minimum in 3 miles a day and that is it, just laziness and don't feel like doing much of anything but after riding and seeing my rolls I decided back on track I go. So the SF well I have been having a shake in the morning instead of getting so hungry and eating a donut/cookie which has helped alot. Tonight is usually wings night but I am going to have a salad at home and pass on wings, hopefully

Well Vstar ended up not getting sold- The bank pre-approved them for $13,000 and she told them it would be 2 used bikes but when she called them on Monday they said nope but we will loan you $15,000 towards a new bike but not $12,000 towards 2 used bikes so they ended up buying a brand new 1700 Vulcan and she will ride with him for another year or two.

Tammy glad to hear that you are still going to Vegas, and you will be surprised at how much walking you will actually do because traffic is crazy and alot more work then walking around. That is awesome about DF that is quite a bit of weight to lose and to not be doing any type of exercise, doesn't work for us that way

Holly so you had your last day at winter job? Glad to hear that you are feeling better and draining now I have not got back on Shred like I said I was but maybe today, of course I am saying maybe??? I think I really need someone here to literally kick me in the butt!!!

Well I better get off to work, just thought I would drop in since it had been a couple - maybe even few days. I will check back in later to let you know how much exercise I did today

Good morning chicks! Tammy, tell your DF congrats from us, that is a heck of a big loss without really trying!!!

That "almond joy' coffee sounds yum!!! I guess I'm lucky that I've only been to the Starbucks that are in the NY Thruway rest areas, and I've only had 'regular joe' there..never tried anything fancy...I say lucky because I might get hooked on them The closest one to me is over 50 miles away

Hi Chopperchick aw, that's a bummer that the bikes didn't get sold. And you were so close! Hopefully someone else will snap them up soon, and you'll have some more $ to bank. And glad you had a nice ride home from the track. Oh and 3 miles is nothing to sneeze at! Is that on a treadmill or outside?

I just finished Day 4 of Level 3, and maybe, just maybe, there was a half gallon of junk from my head and lungs instead of yesterdays gallon Today was the first morning I woke up NOT being completely stuffed up, so that is progress also. Regarding Level 3 - I can NOT do those 'Rock star jumps' , I sub some other cardio instead. Nor the 'jumping lunges' - I do a forward lunge, bringing my hands down and touching calf; then back up to do the other.

I do have to tell you of my Puffs Plus dilemna! Years ago I discovered the Puffs Plus with lotion and aloe, and I swear, if you started using those at the beginning of a cold, you did NOT get a sore nose. Not at all. so for that they were well worth the $2.50 or so a box as opposed to the el cheapo .99 tissues.

well two weeks ago I invested (lol) in 3 boxes of Puffs Plus for my cold. Within 4 days my nose was soooo red and SORE, dry and hurting!! I dreaded whenever i had to use a tissue, which was approx. every 3 minutes. Then it's really hard to find a cream or lotion to put on that doesn't feel like a thousand stinging knives I did find some Rite Aid Vitamin E cream that is good...

But I called the toll-free number on the Puffs box to ask, did you change the formula??? got a nice customer service lady who had to make out 'a medical report' on my nose ("did you seek medical attention") and said the company did not change the formula...oh well...supposedly a coupon for free Puffs is coming my way.

I weighed this morning and I am up a pound, 156. No surprise, I have not been doing mindful eating. I have GOT to get on track with that. I swear I read all over this forum every day, but I don't do what I should ! Maybe the realization that Harley Rendezvous (and bare arms, bare tummy, bare whatever) is in 2 months.

Oh, I decided to go with the Metzeler tires. I have heard lots of good about them. IF they get done in time today, I will pick bike up, because I learned of a PGR (Patriot Guard Ride) tomorrow that is in this area (relatively, about 30 miles from here) and I would like to participate, it would be my first PGR ride.

okay, I'll let someone else yak for a while Oh and Yes, this is my first day away from the RatB*stard job! woohoo!!!!

CC: We will be walkin a lot in Vegas.... no way I am "cruising" the strip with my bike! I read a stat that there are 87K people on that road a day..... thats a lot of ppl for a hillbilly with a bike! We will ride them to get married but after that they will be parked in Vegas..... my butt will probably need a break anyway! How did the SF go? I only did 1 day this week, but it seems to be working. I am really close to my May goal...... I am just not posting it b/c I am making sure it is not just "water weight".

CC: Hope the weekend is work relief for you! You have been so busy this week.

Holly: I am glad you are done with that RatB****rd. You can breath a sigh of relief and get down to business instead of stress eating. You are so close.

Mandy: How are you?

I am soooo thankful that captain of the ship was rescued. That family had the best Easter ever! (It is on the news about the crew coming home)-- thats what made me say that.

I had "girl drama" at work today. I am going to keep my office door shut from now on..... I work with 2 girls that are younger....... and all that entails. Need I say more?

I have to get busy now...... I am cleaning while there is no testosterone in the house..... I hate to clean around people-- especially a man!
Talk to you later!

Tammy - I would also be petrified to ride in Las Vegas!

'girl drama' ugh! glad I'm over that

We (local Vermonters) are wondering if there will be a 'hero's welcome' home in Underhill for Capn. Phillips; of course many people want there to be one, but they are waiting to see what the family wants.

I had a very productive day! after working out, I started a pot of ham/bean soup, then went outside for yard work. I got a good portion looking so much better! Then went and paid for and picked up my bike (new tires). Then brought her home and washed and polished her well.

Tammy, I joined Mandy's daily food log Challenge.

Hi Mandy, Hi ChopperChick

does anyone want to start a new thread? I think we have to soon.
