I'm so behind on this thread! I just got back from my parent's house in WA for a few weeks. I was expecting to see a gain, but instead I appear to have lost almost 2 lbs. Wha? How does that work when I ate a whole 9" pumpkin pie plus a pint of b&js. ??? Good thing I took my walking dvds with me. It's nice to be back at home again! I just got a cardio hula dvd in the mail (from swapadvd.com) so I'm going to try that later.

Cardio Hula? Tell me how that is, it sounds fun!

Thanksgiving in a few days. I'm nervous... I've been stuck at 119 pounds for like a week now, and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday- I love the food. I'm worried it'll push me back over 120+. I need to lose these 9 pounds to reach my first goal, not gain 5 back!

I hear ya. I've been going back and forth between 118 and 119 for a long time and it's making me nervous about Thanksgiving too. I am eating 2 dinners.. one tomorrow with one family and one Thursday with the other. UGH. I will just try to take a little bit of everything. Luckily, I don't like a lot of the higher-calorie stuff anyway. Veggies, bit of turkey, bit of stuffing. Shouldn't be too bad, right?? lol.

Good luck!

Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I've had this pair of pants in my closet for over 6 months that I couldn't quite wear. They are a dark, wide leg denim (Like the ones on the left http://christinaghuman.files.wordpre...kardashian.png). Today I decided to put them on despite the fact the scale hasn't really gone down. They fit!!!!!!! They even fit with my long john pants underneath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. They actually look really good too. Now I need a form fitting, shorter style shirt to wear with them. I think I'll go get them hemmed (duh, we're in the shorties thread here) and wear them for Christmas.

Default SHORTY here!

So new and late to this thread! I am a shortie too... some say 5'1'' and 1/2 others 5'2'.. still a small fry lol. I actually love my height tho, Heels are made for us short sexy girls, thats the up side. The downside.. short and slightly thick (healthy) is really attractive to me, but having gained weight and being short and FAT.. not so great Mostly, I've tired of my too snug jeans dragging along the ground and being to snug to pull up. Oh and my doctor says "yeh for your height, you would do well at about 107 lbs" .. FRUSTRATED! I don't want to be skin and bones but don't feel comfortable at my current heaviest weight either. Honeslty, I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but, 150-140 is heaven for me! Anything less and people offer me food all of the time..

If you want to weigh more, then the heck with the doctor. You would be pretty darn thin at 107lbs. Healthy yes, but more weight would be healthy too.

Chiming in late on the measurements - I'm at 36-25-36, and I haven't gotten to goal yet. My WW leader thinks that I may want to modify my goal and think about maintaining. Post baby, I've now lost just about 70 lbs - 30 right after her birth, and another 40 with weight watchers.
Like we were saying before, we're all built so differently. At almost 5 ft tall and 123 lbs, I'm back in my size 1s and 2s. I do want to lose another 8lbs or so, but I'm pretty happy where I am.

I'm 34-26-34 I think right now, 5'0 and 121 pounds (argh-Thanksgiving) and I fit (tightly) into a size 6. I wish I was a 1 or 2. At my skinniest of 100 pounds, I was still only a 4. Sometimes, I think I'll never reach my FIRST goal of a 110 pounds. I hate the way i look right now... I am so depressed. I feel so fat and ugly. like a big blimp or elephant walking into a room and just distracting everyone with a big stomach and fat thighs and arm wiggling

I dont' think I've ever seen 100 lbs! In fact the last time I was in my 110's (118) was when I was 19! My own personal goal is to be between 110 and 120 - I think I'll be happiest then.

Mermaid - I hope you feel better soon! It's a lifetime challenge to lose weight, and then maintain that weight loss, while still maintaining a positive outlook of life. Look at how far you've come! And the way you're able to work towards your goal - holyyyyyyyy! you're really an inspiration!

Hey dudes I got fatter this month instead of losing. POOP! I'm hoping it is muscle since I started callanetics and got some dancing dvds--hula with Kili and a Crunch Salsa workout. My new jeans still fit well and are not as tight as they were last month when I bought them so that is good, right? I'm a pig and need to stop eating pie. AGHHHH. I totally slacked on walking, too. I was shooting for 100 miles but barely got 77.

Landonbaby - congrats on fitting into the pants! What a GREAT feeling! And I hear you about the small feet. My son is 9 and we wear the same size shoes. lol.

christielovely - there is quite a range as to what is a healthy weight even for women our size. Some women just can't get down lower than a certain amount or they don't want to, and either way, it's fine. I look/feel my best around 110, but I know women my same height who wear 105 or 125 just as well. And even at 110, I am still curvy (well, mostly from the waist down. The other curves almost disappear, lol) and I wouldn't want to lose all of them.

kamesennin - better luck this week/month!

mermaid - you're like my weight loss twin. lol.

offmyfranny- we are weight loss twins! Do you have one child? How much did you weigh before you got pregnant and how much did you gain? I gained a lot of weight after college and having to move back home. I am trying to get back to my smallest size so I can get married and have children at a healthy weight. I am getting scared about weight gain during/after pregnancy though. Just wondering since we are so similar in stats what your story is. Welcome to this thread!!
