Coffee is made - good strong brew this morning, so come on down and

join me on the patio in the morning sunshine. It's a bit nippy mind so wear socks/sox and a jumper/ sweater/ jersey/ guernsey (depending on whether you are Kiwi, American, British or Aussie. You'll be able to strip off in about 1/2 hour. The birds are singing - well squarking actually - Aus doesn't have too many songbirds and none around here.
No gym for this bunny today. I've done my weekly dose until Saturday so today I will load up the car for a run to the dump, get my kicks from humping some boxes from the shed to the house unpacking and repacking and humping them all the way back again. Plus a little energetic housework and I should be okay for the day. Oh yes and there is of course the stress of work.
I fixed my own IT problems yesterday. Really I should work in that section. The IT in this company is, I have decided, like a medium intelligent man. (MIM). It's relatively simple, almost logical, and likes to act complicated. (SLAC) So fiddle fart around on the inside long enough and you will come across a tick box that will solve all the problems and get the bloke working once more. (BwOM). No further problems to report.
As for the gym. It's like a cone of silence has descended on the fate of the trainer and the class. She is still there. She is leaving but not until later. Classes may or may not continue to be disrupted in order to train new instructors and it may or may not continue to be given in its present time slot. Sounds like the US naval security bloke in Wellington all those years ago when NZ was declared a nuclear free zone, who said during a protest rally:
I can not confirm or deny the presence or absence of nuclear or conventional weaponry aboard this US Navy vessel.
Useless waste of words - did he really think we thought that they would go back to San Diego for them in the event of some sort of confrontation?
Anyway for those interested, the class goes on, I keep going, I keep out of the politics that surround it. I am still looking around for other gyms and programs to suit the lifestyle.
Today, I also have to go get that last Hep A shot from the medical centre. Oh Joy, what fun. And there is a teleconference at 11.00am my time as well, so I can't afford to sit in the Drs surgery for any length of time. It's a pity there isn't a Wai Ora (fountain of youth) injection they can give me as well.
Michelle - how long is your friend expected to last on that stupid diet? and what is she allowed to eat. Has to be fruit and veg only by the sound of it and more veg than fruit. That's okay, but unless you are strictly vegetarian or vegan not much fun - no eggs, no cheese, no milk, no anything with filling natural bulk really. I personally think that it is a dangerous diet for any length of time and any weight loss resulting will be temporary to say the least.
I always have to self talk to get to the gym. It's stupid really because I quite enjoy myself while I am there and it brings out my competitive streak (only compete with myself) to do better than I did previously. And you are also right O Goddess of Exercise that one should not do the same exercise repeatedly without a break - it does not do the body any good. I've read somewhere that 3 cardio sessions and 2 weight/ resistance sessions should be done each week. 45 mins min. But I've also read that 3 x 30 minutes of exercise per week should suffice. Doesn't with me, but then this fat has been here a while and is set hard!
Can't understand why you can't see those pics. Anyone else having trouble??
Rennie - I am sure you will dream up something exciting for revenge.
Annie - 50 mins of walk is good exercise - provided of course that you put some effort into it and not just totter around on the stilettos.

Heaving blocks is great exercise. They even do it on the biggest loser.
Mel - did you think they were going to pay me for 6 months for doing nothing? Oh dear no. However I find I can squash my 8 hours into about 6 working from home because there are fewer interuptions and it is just plain nice being able to sit in the sunshine and plan out the program instead of an overcold office with everyone trying to use the facilities at the same time.
So Marie is on her way home. Sounds like a wasted journey to me. What did she do apart from whine and wind up the friends while she was away? Did she get to see anything? do anything interesting? go out to dinner? take in a show? Huh?? What's the point in sitting with good friends and whinging. Can do that over the 'net from home cheaper.
Morning Happy - obviously busy with the anticipated visit with Mum. Hope all is progressing nicely for you in that direction. Good idea to take a week R & R to get some of things done for yourself. Never enough time in this world when you have to work.
Morning Ceejay.
The Canadians have all gone back to hibernation - except for Ruth who is out and about organising the world in gardens, bake offs, fairs and fetes and pet therapy. Got to love how busy she is. Wonder what she used to be like at work? Maybe she only had to work half of the year because she could fit twice as much into each day as anyone else.
And that's it. Coffee's done, time to get dressed and start the day. Have a good one.
Hey - gimme my ball back!
Smile - never let them know what you've been upto
