I went over to the BL challenge forum. I'll be routing for you.

I've missed the post about your son's surgery. Glad he's doing well.
Had a long talk with my sister from Dallas tonight which was very helpful. Feeling 100% better about some things concerning my aunt.
Also went to the doctor today concerning my shoulder. He gave me a steriod injection and it already feels alot better. He explained that he has certain guide line's to go by with the insurance companies. The next time I go in with this complaint he can do xray's whatever. I'm really impatient sometimes. He thinks it's either oseteoarthritis or bursitis. The scales at my doctor's office showed that I weighed 10 pounds lighter. hmm, now I'm wondering if my new scale is reading corrrectly.
I've tired to do with out fruit today but that is just not going to happen so I'm going directly into phase 2 of SB. I'll still be limiting bread and potatoes.

Glad you are feeling better after the talk with your sister. Scales are funny things. I had an appointment with 3 docs last week all three scales said a different thing within a couple of pounds of each other lol. I do my one weigh In's doc's scale. It is being re calibrated this week so my next weigh in I might have to change my ticker. Oh well, I would rather be accurate than kid myself lol. Hope your shoulder starts to feel even better. It wasn't anything to serious. They had to remove a cyst off his tail bone. Still anytime they put a person to sleep it can turn dangerous so I am happy it is over with.
I MUST ADMIT THAT I BREEZED THRU THE POSTS. TO THOSE THAT NEED THEM AND RENNIE'S SON. TO EVERYONE. EYES ARE A BIT GRITTY AND I DON'T WANT TO MAKE THINGS WORSE. STARTED THE "ROUTINE" AND THERE IS SOME IMPROVEMENT. GOING BACK TO THE OLD FOOD PLAN FOR THE TIME BEING. ONE DR THINKS THE OTHER DR RUSHED THINGS BY LETTING ME ADD NEW FOODS. HE IS RIGHT. AND BOTH ARE WRONG ABOUT GREEN TEA....TO MY BODY, CAFFEINE IS CAFFEINE NO MATTER WHAT FORM IT TAKES. I AM ON A QUEST FOR PERFECT SKIN!!
WILL CHAT TOMORROW.
HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Good morning ladies,
Rennie - glad to hear the son made out ok with surgery.
Ceejay - stay dry - I see nasty storms your way right now. The bank balance in my signature is actually exercise minutes for the BL challenge but once upon a time I put a cleaned out mayonaise jar by the treadmill and DH and I put a dollar in it each time we exercised. If we skipped a day (other that 1 rest day a week) we had to put 5 dollars in it. It was a fun thing we did for about 2 months over the winter. Ouch on the shoulder - hope you feel better.
Madcat - hope you are feeling better too. Will sinus season EVER end???? Love your new avatar. I'm sure Painter would find that a good subject for her sketchings. I saw those bunk types of planes on the TV but never knew anyone who was actually in one. Sounds like heaven and now you are spoiled
Michelle - glad you enjoyed Spamalot. What a nice gift for the DH! I heard it was supposed to be quite entertaining. And wasn't it nice to take a walk in the fresh spring air? Ummmm heavenly.
Annie - I'm sure you look at the chaos of Indy 500 week the way we look at Dead Elvis week here (the week in August where the faithful flock to Graceland to remember the anniversary of Elvis' death). In other words, I'm glad it brings money into the city BUT stay away as far as you can Hope you don't get too much rain to spoil your weekend.
Mel - when is your friend due to visit? I'm sure you're getting ready for her. Have a great time and don't fuss too much.
Sorry I have to be fast today. Another week of quick on the run. Happy Friday chicks!
Shad - I am really enjoying the animal pics you've been putting up. Gives me a needed smile each day. That's kind of weird that you won't have to go back to Jakarta for months after only one trip. But I'm sure that won't stop you from being busy otherwise.
Was a rainy, stormy night last night. Rain predictions are clear for the window time of the 500 mini-marathon tomorrow. Hope it is, many of my co-workers are running/walking in it. I would be crawling by the end of it. LOL Highs in the 60s all weekend, with intermittent rain.
Shad..Welcome back home. Thanks for the adorable animal pix.
Madcat...Hope you are feeling better. Try some excedrine migraine with a cup of coffee. Makes it work quicker.
Rennie...Glad your DS made it thru surgery OK. Enjoy your beautiful day. ;^)
Ceejay....Hope your shoulder is feeling better by now. Those shots do help.
MEL...Our bodies know more than doctors sometimes. I take 5000 mg of Biotin everyday. It is for skin, hair, nails. Your body disposes naturally what you don't need, there is no harm done. I have been taking it since October 2006, prior to my Feb '07 bariatric surgery. It does wonders.
Happy....Glad you could check in. Have a great day.
Just as I was pulling into my driveway last night, my car started making an awful noise. I had DH listen to the sound. Turns out, it's the brakes. He told me not to drive my car until he replaces the brakes this weekend. Luckily, my carpool buddy didn't mind picking me up at my house today rather than meeting at the park and ride lot. I'm glad my DH is so good when it comes to fixing cars (and computers)!
Shad - Skybeds? How wonderful! Great that you had such a comfy flight home. It would be hard to fly economy class after that. Adorable kitty photo!
Madcat - I hope you are feeling better.
Rennie - I'm glad your son's surgery went well. Good for you for doing your workouts!
CeeJay - it's good that you had a nice talk with your sister! And I'm glad the steroid injection helped your shoulder. I've gotten a couple of those for my back and they work wonders! I'd have a hard time going without fruits...and I really like breads, but I'm eating whole grain breads with tons of fiber. Are those allowed on SB?
Mel - I hope your eyes feel better soon.
Happy - Wow! You sure are racking up the exercise minutes/dollars! 235?! YGG!! What a great idea to be financially penalized for missing a workout! What did you end up spending the money on? I wanted to go to the gym last night but between my brakes issue and having a stomachache, I decided to forego exercise. Today is going to be super stormy - possibility of severe weather, so I'll use my WATP video. I'm borrowing DH's SUV to go to the gym tomorrow morning. I'm going early 7 or 7:30 to do cardio, meeting with my trainer at 8 to ramp up my strengthening workout now that my back is doing better, and then doing his circuit training class at 9.
Annie - Sounds like your weather is going to be a bit better than ours, but not much. Have a good weekend anyway.
Diyana...I need brakes too, could you send you DH over to do my brakes? I also need a tune up. I have WATP dvds, I haven't even broken the cellophane on them and have had them for over a year. Why don't you and your DH come over...DH could fix my brakes, you could MAKE me exercise.
Annie
I am going to try Biotin. I'm a firm believer that we do not get the nutritional value's in our food any more. This is one of the main reason's I want a full blood work up on every mineral and vitamin in my body.
Good thing your dh knew what the noise was. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
Michelle
I don't know what it is but I'd love to go to the INDY 500 speedway. My cousin's son is a Dale JR fan. One of these maybe I can take him there.
Go tp the south beach forum. Under the most frequent asked question's there is a food list for all three phases.
Mel
Stay on the old food plan and NO caffiene. I have a headache this morning coupled by high humidity and caffiene withdrawels.
Happy
Thanks for the information. I may start a money jar myself. Then when I reach my first goal I' ll have some money to get myself a reward.
Hello to the rest I'm going to shut down the computer. The storms are in the next county over.
I've decided to skip Phase one and move into Phase 2. My BP med has on the lable to take this with orange juice. I'm supposed to eat an additional banana for more potassium. My bp was up a little this morning by not eating these fruits.

That shouldn't be so funny but it is
I'm in for some of that too but remember - Diyana's been blowing her socks off on the exercise lately - could we keep up?
Thanks for the tip on the Biotin Annie - I could use some of that - desperately.
Annie - That sounds like a great plan. I'll see if DH would go for it. He'd probably prefer to go to Indy for the race, rather than to work on a car (unless it was Danica's car). He hasn't been to Indy since he was a kid.
Happy - you're too funny (blowing my socks off on the exercise). I haven't worked out hard in two days and I'm going into endorphin withdrawal. I know I'm going to "blow my socks off" with exercise tomorrow (probably 2 hours or more), so I'm trying not to feel too lazy about only doing a quick lunch time walk on Wednesday and Thursday. I can't do too intense of a lunch time walk as there are no showers here, and I want to spare my co-workers the stench!
Like Happy, I'm cracking up on Annies comments about being tuned up. Not at all sure the mayhem that would ensue from using Michelles DH would not put the thread into the porno section and we may be banned. Maybe here in Downunder, tune up has a different connotation.
Mel - I was thinking of you last night when a tv program showed a relatively new product on the market called Invisible Glove. It was created by a grandfather - yep that's what I said Grandfather - because his lovely wee granddaughter suffered very badly from nappy rash. Then he used it on two grandsons who were badly affected by excema. He used to make it in the Kitchen mixer (one of those big Kenwood cake mixers like Mother used to have) and there are no ingredients in it that you could not eat. In fact there are no warning on it that you can not eat it yourself) Anyway it has been tested out in controlled situations and has proven effective on 98% of excema, dermatitis, psoriasis and other skin sufferers. He used to make 3000 tubes a year and is now making that per day to keep up with demand. I must see if I can find it in the shops anywhere and check it out for you. I know there is a honey place in NZ doing the same sort of thing, but I have lost the website addy.
Sticking with the cats - another in the series of What your pets get up to when you are at work.
All I will say about that one is - keep the bl**dy lid down when you are not using the thing!!!
And just for those who have a problem with that one:
Happy - those skybeds are great. Just the ticket for longhaul flights. I'm not going back to Jakarta for budgetry reasons and not because I am finished. As usual it is always change management and training - always last on the budget dollar that gives in the end. They seem to think consultants can train. It may be true in some cases, however with few exceptions, I've never been able to follow a module consultants training methods. However there is plenty to do - and first thing Monday, I will be sitting at my computer trying to sort it out. Working from home. I'll be able to join the same ranks as your DH!!
You are going well on that TBL challenge. Well done - goodonya!!! I shall watch the bank tally with interest.
Annie - whats the mini marathon for? I think I am missing some bits of info here. Maybe it's jetlag or maybe I should just go back to the the other thread and check it out again.
Michelle - I'm back into the gym this morning as well. Every time I wanted to go to the gym in the hotel it was full of little Japanese gentlement who all had to do a workout because the boss did one. And they had more Personal Trainers there than clients at other times and were falling all over themselves to give advice which I didn't really understand or want. I gathered that some one of my revered age and gender didn't do weights like I do. It became a little annoying!!!
But I did learn a few words of Indonesian through the gym. Takes my total to somewhere around 10 I guess. Tutup is closed, keluar is exit, ayam is chicken, tidak is no. And so on and so forth. At least it doesn't seem to be gender driven and I had to laugh at the translation for teenager - little kid who grew a bit.
Okay - had better get off here and go try out the gym and see if they have found a new instructor for Body Balance. I'd better take the other gear as well just in case they haven't. No point in wasting the hour. DS2 is talking about going camping for the weekend. I think he is getting bored with being at home, not being able to work because of the finger. He doesn't go back to the specialist for at least another week. Bored DS2 is not something to look forward to. Maybe he will go look at real estate because he is thinking of adding another rental property to his portfolio. This kid will make tycoon status yet. Still it makes sense as the property market is in the doldrums at the moment thanks to interest rates rising and people consolidating their money. And that's all due to you lot in the States not paying enough taxes and the collapse of your property market as well.
The mini-marathon just kicks off the Indy 500 month of May. It really is not for anything special, just that it is a running/walking or whatever you do to get to the end marathon. It costs like 50 or 75 bucks to get in to it, there are about 50,000 gazillion runners, and a true madhouse. Whoa, I am going no where near it.
I was supposed to get my U.S. government stimulus check deposited today, but didn't. Hope the government didn't decide against giving me mine. I could use the 600 bucks right now. Bastroids...
Anyone heard of anyone not getting their checks on the promised dates? Everyone I know who was supposed to get theirs today, got it, everyone BUT ME> I need brakes....
I have had so little sleep the last couple of days I slept in until about 11:30 this morning lol. That is just unheard of for me. Oh well, I will be up late so the to do list will get done lol. The son is doing great so far, he has found he isn't going to be hopping, skipping, or jumping for a few days lol. He told me this afternoon he wanted a pain pill. I said ok listen up this is how pain meads work. If you take a pain mead you can not go out with the guys for your Friday night beer ( he has one beer a week on Friday night with the guys ). You can not go hang out with the girlfriend and run around all over the place. You get to sit, that is pretty much it. Sit and watch tv or play video games. Nothing wrong with the girlfriend joining in on these activities but that is all you can do. He called his buddy and said no going out tonight. Called his girlfriend and asked if she minded if they just sat and watched tv and then asked for the pain pill lol. I gave him half a one told him if he thought he needed more in about an hour to ask and I would give him the other half. I dropped him off at the girlfriends house. About an hour later his girlfriends mother called and said he was out like a light on the couch and she would bring him home when he woke up lol.
