Morning all,
Like Happy, I'm cracking up on Annies comments about being tuned up. Not at all sure the mayhem that would ensue from using Michelles DH would not put the thread into the porno section and we may be banned. Maybe here in Downunder, tune up has a different connotation.
Mel - I was thinking of you last night when a tv program showed a relatively new product on the market called Invisible Glove. It was created by a grandfather - yep that's what I said Grandfather - because his lovely wee granddaughter suffered very badly from nappy rash. Then he used it on two grandsons who were badly affected by excema. He used to make it in the Kitchen mixer (one of those big Kenwood cake mixers like Mother used to have) and there are no ingredients in it that you could not eat. In fact there are no warning on it that you can not eat it yourself) Anyway it has been tested out in controlled situations and has proven effective on 98% of excema, dermatitis, psoriasis and other skin sufferers. He used to make 3000 tubes a year and is now making that per day to keep up with demand. I must see if I can find it in the shops anywhere and check it out for you. I know there is a honey place in NZ doing the same sort of thing, but I have lost the website addy.
Sticking with the cats - another in the series of What your pets get up to when you are at work.
All I will say about that one is - keep the bl**dy lid down when you are not using the thing!!!
And just for those who have a problem with that one:
Happy - those skybeds are great. Just the ticket for longhaul flights. I'm not going back to Jakarta for budgetry reasons and not because I am finished. As usual it is always change management and training - always last on the budget dollar that gives in the end. They seem to think consultants can train. It may be true in some cases, however with few exceptions, I've never been able to follow a module consultants training methods. However there is plenty to do - and first thing Monday, I will be sitting at my computer trying to sort it out. Working from home. I'll be able to join the same ranks as your DH!!
You are going well on that TBL challenge. Well done - goodonya!!! I shall watch the bank tally with interest.
Annie - whats the mini marathon for? I think I am missing some bits of info here. Maybe it's jetlag or maybe I should just go back to the the other thread and check it out again.
Michelle - I'm back into the gym this morning as well. Every time I wanted to go to the gym in the hotel it was full of little Japanese gentlement who all had to do a workout because the boss did one. And they had more Personal Trainers there than clients at other times and were falling all over themselves to give advice which I didn't really understand or want. I gathered that some one of my revered age and gender didn't do weights like I do. It became a little annoying!!!
But I did learn a few words of Indonesian through the gym. Takes my total to somewhere around 10 I guess. Tutup is closed, keluar is exit, ayam is chicken, tidak is no. And so on and so forth. At least it doesn't seem to be gender driven and I had to laugh at the translation for teenager - little kid who grew a bit.
Okay - had better get off here and go try out the gym and see if they have found a new instructor for Body Balance. I'd better take the other gear as well just in case they haven't. No point in wasting the hour. DS2 is talking about going camping for the weekend. I think he is getting bored with being at home, not being able to work because of the finger. He doesn't go back to the specialist for at least another week. Bored DS2 is not something to look forward to. Maybe he will go look at real estate because he is thinking of adding another rental property to his portfolio. This kid will make tycoon status yet. Still it makes sense as the property market is in the doldrums at the moment thanks to interest rates rising and people consolidating their money. And that's all due to you lot in the States not paying enough taxes

and the collapse of your property market as well.
