H &H - Thanks for the hug! I'm just SO offended by the thief.
Congrats on your treadmill. I think ours is a Nordictrack, and we've had it for going on seven years. Has some funny quirks, but it is still going strong.

Monte--your right, why is such stuff necessary? Not only was it a nasty thing to do, they will probably sell it for some nasty purpose.

I hope I get to do something on the treadmill today. Emily has a piano recital right in the middle of dinner time and Open House/Orientation at school. I am planning on it after it is done. Don't want to mess up on the 2nd day of baby steps!

Later, Kathy

Hi everyone,
My internet had been down since Monday. I was ready to choke someone but it is back up today. I really couldn't get on at work either because I've been running around like a fool! Anyways I have been on the treadmill twice this week and plan to get on again on Saturday.

Monte--People are so simple! I can't believe someone would even do that. I know what you mean about exercising w/o your ipod bc I don't think I could now. My friend is so disappointed that we can't use our ipods during our 10K. She is starting to panic.

H&H--I know we are all reluctant from time to time. I haven't been able to string 3 straight weeks of exercise together in months. We will see if I make it this time. Congrats on the treadmill !

Monte~I am so sorry some one had to stoop so low as to take your ipod. I hope the guilty party is found and made to pay for their crime.

H&H~Congrats on your treadmill. I hope you like it. I am green with envy!!

I did 50 min of stepping, wall push ups and weight training. Pat

Well, my new iPod came in. Fortunately at this time I'm single, employed and living at home, so I can afford these little luxuries. If I couldn't have replaced it I would REALLY have been upset. But it got here in time for my run tomorrow. I'm suppose to do 2.75 miles, and I don't think I would be able to get through it without my iPod.

Everybody is doing so well with exercising. I'm proud of us!!

Kathy - I don't know if I've welcomed you, but welcome!! Keep up the baby steps!

Morning all My baby steps got sidelined here for a few days. I wasn't feeling good the other day, and then I got one of those crazy coxsackie viruses and it settled in my hip. they are so painful and nothing is comfortable. I feel better today, so I think later I will try something. Want to get it feeling comfortable by Wednesday when Tap Class starts again. I will be able to go back to water aerobics this week, now the new schedule is out.

Do you think that other days with about 20 to 30 minutes of something will work? The others are all 1 hour classes, and 3 days in a row.

Am enjoying the Olympics, my favorite thing. However my beloved Bears are playing tonight, even if it's against the Colts and it's Sunday night. Never a good thing!

Later ladies. Kathy

May I join you? I really believe that exercise is the key to successful weight loss but I find it really hard to fit it into my day. As some of you have said, sometimes it feels too self-indulgent when there are other jobs tat need doing. I have some exercise equipment at home (an exercise bike that is on the blink, a steap and a rowing machine) but I find exercising indoors VERY boring and it feels so much more exhausting somehow. I much prefer to walk/jog on the beach which is a 20 minute drive from here. Of course when the weather is bad it's really hard to get motivated to go out. I look forward to getting to know you!

Monte--Good thing the ipod came fast. Its like it was never gone!

Kathy--I do think 20 to 30 minutes the other days will be fine.

Miriam--I'm hanging in there. I got on the treadmill yesterday. So two weeks in a row I have exercised 3/wk. Next week is key. I generally never make it to or beyond 3 straight weeks.

Pufffin--Welcome!

Shay - you can do it! Getting into routine makes such a difference. Heck - I'm so out of routine - I can't even remember the combination to my locker in the gym! LOL

Miriam~ Here I am! Thank you, I am plugging along. I did forget to post yesterday : I did all my workout schedule. Ready to get going again.

Puffin~ Nice to get to know you. I would love to run along the beach as the sun rises in the morning or as it set in the evening watching it set the sky and water ablaze with color. WOW what a picture that would be.

Tapping~I hope you are feeling better today.

H&H~How are you? Are you doing okay waiting for that new treadmill?

Catch ya all later. Pat

Miriam - My ipod is the generation 5.5 with an 80 gig hard drive. The new (generation 6 is suppose to be horrible, and I loved my original one, so I just searched around until I found another just like it.

Pufffin - Welcome to the group!!

Kathy - I think just 20-30 minutes every other day is probably good, especially since you are doing something more strenuous on the other days.

H & H - When is that treadmill coming? I bet you're getting really excited!!

Shay - You can do it!! We're all rooting for you!

Pat - Keep up the good work!

I've been really reluctant these last couple of days.......I haven't done any exercise since my run on Thursday. But tomorrow is a new week, and I will get back on track.
