Whew, what a chatty bunch! I love it! I have been preoccupied with setting up my ipod. I'm like this when I get something new.

Monte--I think you are right about the stall on the scale and starting strength training. Be more patient with yourself when it comes to your running!

Heavyandhomebound--Congrats on the treadmill!

Heavyandhomebound & mrsaugie--Pilates is no joke. It is a great toner.

mrsaugie--I love Taebo I just think I am burned out on it. I have a lot of his dvd and vhs tapes.

Miriam--You were so right about the ipod and exercising. It made a huge difference. Dare I say I wasn't as bored or reluctant??!

Pat--I have a stability ball too. Ab work is great on the ball. So are lunges and squats with the ball behind you aqainst the wall.

I had a girl at work who would always go with me to the gym to excercise and when I wouldn't she would make me feel guilty...which worked....she has recently moved away and is no longer with my company. Since she left I have gone to the gym 1 time. I've found a new workout partner, but we always tend to find something else to do during our lunch break rather than to go to the gym. I feel the same way in regards to getting motivated to go to the gym. Once I go and do my workout I feel amazing but getting me there is the difficult part. I hope that joining 3FC will help me in getting back into the habits I had earlier this year.

Welcome Nocelluite!

Sounds like you had a valuable workout partner! I'm sorry she's not around anymore. But I think you could learn from her! Keep asking yourself "what would she say/do?" and say/do it!! And drag your new partner with you. Yeah, roll reversal! Sometimes you need to be your own cheering squad! And we will cheer for you too!!

Finally did my steppin. Didn't want to..... but I did it in spite of myself!

Good luck on the reunion Monte!

Keep it up Pat!!!

Edit: Just wanted to say how proud I am of myself! I almost ordered pizza, but while battling in my mind, and foraging around my cupbords, I found fixin's to make tuna salad and spread it on some rye crisps. Such a better choice!

Okay, so heavyandhomebound busted me about not posting here for a while.

I've been reluctantly doing some exercising at home lately but not hitting the gym much like I should. Just haven't had the time or energy lately.

I have been spending just about my entire day every day since 07/22 deep cleaning my house (except 7/28 & 29, which were filled with dental and doctor exam stuff for me, DD and DH). I've whitewashed walls, cleaned double (Japanese style) windows inside and out, recaulked my bathroom, Pledged & Windexed & Mr. Cleaned & Cloroxed my way thru my entire home, swept, vacuumed, mopped, wiped down baseboards, washed curtains and throw rugs, made some minor furniture repairs, made a major furniture replacement...and just generally spiffed everything up.

I'm tired. And I have relatives coming to visit tomorrow.

Heavy: Keep it up! Good for you to choose tuna over pizza. And thank you for reminding me there's a place I can go chat with others who have to exert some willpower to exercise.

Pat: Excellent workout, keep up the good work!

MonteCristo: Have fun at that reunion!

H&H~I am so proud of you!! Tuna over pizza YEAH!! Keep up that great stepping. You are on a roll now.

Snapless~Good to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing. Please don't stay away so long, you are missed when you do. Thank you for the kind words.

Monte~Have fun at your reunion!

Shay~Good to hear from you. I like the ball for wall/back support. Also keeps me honest, can't cheat on form, or the ball will get away from me.

No Cellulite~WELCOME to our group, it is a great supportive group.

I did 1 hour stepping + 16 minute weight training arms shoulders chest + ab workout + 30 wall pushups. Catch ya all later.

H&H~All this talk about workout dvd's got me thinking. I went through a stack of dvd's. Viola!! I found a dvd that has 10 minute workouts one of them is for abs. I am going to pop it in the player and have an abs workout with my resistance band. I am so glad you rattled my memory!! I think (don't quote me)I have another 10 minute ab work out some where around here. I have another stack in the closet. Ex still has some at his place. This way I don't have to follow the workout book I got from the library. I am siked now. WOW thanks!!
