Good Morning . . . the sun is shining . . . hope everybody has a great day . . .

Hi everyone,
I guess a lot of us are enjoying the great weather. I'm off all next week for my treatments, and the forecast says nice weather every day so I'm planning on doing a lot of outdoors stuff in between runs to the hospital. This morning was the bottle drive for the soccer team - I'm still waiting for my guys to get back. After that, it will likely be driving around taking photos -- haven't done that in a while. Merry - it sucks that the gym is closing. At least it's good timing -- I think it would be worse if it closed in the winter with all that snow Meowee - hope the dentist settles your problems soon! And sorry to hear about the doggie feud - I guess I'm now happy my cats just chew things and stick together! Daffy - thanks for the tip; I am indeed a genealogy freak and will check out that site. We have a strong oral history in my family, so it kind of comes naturally. Have a good week-end everyone! :flow1: :sunny:  |
Hi everyone! Newbie here!!
I'm Danielle, from Halifax, NS. I just started LA Weight Loss 2 weeks ago, so far so good. I'm hoping to lose 100 lbs in 52 weeks. :carrot: Looking forward to chatting with you all. Be back after supper to see what's new. Take Care |
Hi Danielle, nice to meet you.
|
Glad you found us Danielle  . . . We will be here to cheer you on every pound of the way to your goal. I really hope you can do it, but whether you get there even sooner than 52 weeks or whether it takes a little more than that, you will look and feel so great as you go along, that you'll be amazed.
See you later, Chickie . . . |
Hiya retiredone and meowee!
Does anyone else do the LA Weight Loss plan? I'm entering week 3 on Tuesday. I'm excited to step on the scale and see how much progress I've had. I'm not too sure about lbs, but I've lost inches for sure! |
I'm just doing my own thing, watching portions and cutting out junk and exercising. Losing inches is just as exciting as losing pounds. You know the pounds can't be too far behind.
|
Hi gang . . . having a busy day . . . not really sure why, either. :dizzy:
Hopefully I'll have more time to chat tomorrow . . . |
Had a great weekend just trying to tidy up so theres not much inside work to do tomorrow. We wantna be at the park
|
I had a pretty busy weekend, found it hard to get my required foods in *bad danielle* I didn't go off plan though so that's one good thing. I did spend some time outdoors and forgot to wear my sunscreen *bad danielle again lol* and now I have a tan on my face. Didn't expect to see that after the nasty winter/spring we had here in NS.
Hope everyone's enjoying their Sunday night, be back in the morning to see what's new. Take Care :bubbles: |
Good Morning Crazies . . . :grouphug:
We are supposed to be having sunshine today . . . but it is being a little slow about getting here. Other than waiting for the :sunny:, I'm just :coffee:: while I wait for the Dentist's office to open. Hopefully I'll be able to get in early and get another temporary patch on this stupid tooth. See you later, gang . . . :carrot: |
Hey everyone!
:welcome: Halichick! I was lost in genealogy land all weekend. Well, not all weekend, but more on that later. I have the names and direct parental lineages via marriages, and some births, back to the early 1800's for most of my family now, though, so it was time well-spent. I did leave the 'puter long enough for us to go out for one very OFF-program meal at Red Lobster Sat nite. Not surprisingly, I wasn't very hungry yesterday. Seawave, I hope your week of treatments goes well. The forecast is for warm and sunny all week except Wednesday, so enjoy! Have a great day, all! |
OMG . . . those Red Lobster cheese/garlic biscuits . . .
|
We need a Red Lobster here in Halifax. I want to try their food sooo bad.
Good luck at the dentist Meowee, just the smell of that place makes me nervous. LOL Hiya Daffy! I have traced my father's family back to 1742 in Germany. My mother's family is part english, part irish. There's not much to go on in her family, no one remembers anything. :P I'm off to get my taxes done *ugh* I wonder how much I owe this year. (I own my own business so tax time is always fun... NOT) |
Good afternoon everyone. Another nice day here in central NL. Hung out more clothes (or my husband did) and I'm just about to go and take them in. I'm going to dig out my pilate bands and do some resistance and weight training instead of walk/jog today. I'm going to jog every second day to let the leg muscles have a chance to heal in between.
Meowee when you said you were getting a root canal done I wanted to tell you awful stories but I didn't. I just knew you'd have your own to tell in no time and seems I was right. Daffy, a cousin in my husband's family did the genealogy of their family and we have about 25 pages of ancestors and descendants. I found out that my husband and boys are related directly and distantly to about half the families in our town. Good thing I brought some new blood to town when I moved here 32 years ago. My son is dating a girl from town and I wouldn't be surprised if they found out they were related to some of the same families. As far as we know they have no blood between them, though. I was at a Red Lobster in Cavendish, PEI last summer. I've never seen one in NL. They had a rather decent selection of vegetarian dishes (compared to many restaurants) but it was later in the evening so my husband and I just shared a plate of nachos and cheese. The others with us ordered fish or meat dishes and I noticed the portions were more than substantial. There were 14 of us in our party so I had lots of plates to compare. The snow is just about all gone. There are a few spots where the snow had been piled up really high that are still melting away. I just looked out the window and saw one of the high school kids walking home from school wearing only a t-shirt (and pants, too, lol) walking past the patches of snow. Looked strange to see that, but you know teens. |
