It is daylight here in my little corner of the world, but not a very nice day. So far we've had a dusting of snow and we are currently getting a little covering of ice (just to preserve the snow, I guess). Later on it's supposed to be turning to just plain rain, so that should clear everything away again. Starting tomorrow, we are being promised a very nice and spring-like week.

Other than that . . . SSDD . . . guess I'll fire up my Wii and do a little bowling today. Hope the rest of you get an 'out and about' kind of day. See you later, gang . . .

Beautiful sunny day here in Central NL and lots of snow melting. I hope we don't get that Nova Scotia snow down here tomorrow. This is definitely a Canadian thread because Canadians are always talking about the weather.:D

My 23 year old son has plans for the garden. He said he was going to get all the grass and weeds out of the flower beds. I thought that was very nice of him until he said it was because I was too old to do it. :frypan: Last year nothing got done in my yard as I strained a back muscle the first day I was out doing some gardening and had me laid up for about 2 weeks and after that the mood had passed.

meowee 04-05-2008 02:21 PM

That's probably because we've always got so much of it. Hope you thanked DS appropriately. :s:

Oh, I did thank him with a raised eyebrow and dirty look. He was only joking he said and never considered either his father or me really that old. He had a good chuckle while eating the good dinner this old lady had cooked.

:yay: . . . It is :sunny: . . .

Hi..I had to do a "search" to find my fellow Canucks here..I finally did!!
I am SOOOOO happy that it's finally sunny and the snow is melting. I am in a small town west of Ottawa and NOT a winter person at all! I spent the whole day outside yesterday in a t-shirt and jeans with my 3 year old DD. Dh took pics of her playing outside and riding her bike in a t-shirt surrounded by snow. Today-another gorgeous day. I plan on being out there again today. I can't wait for it all to melt and for the 30 degree weather to get here...

Hope you "subscribed" to the thread (see the 'thread tools' tab at the top of the forum if you need help with the process) so you'll be able to find us more easily the next time.

:welcome: to our little world and :wel3fc: also -- it's a much bigger world, of course, but equally as friendly and supportive. Know you will love it here and you'll find tons of support everywhere you post.

Have another great and fun day.

It is a beautiful day here in Southern Ontario. Got out for an inline skate with my hubby and a few friends. Went 15 km. It was glorius to be outside. Most of the snow has melted on our lawn and hopefully all will be gone in the next few days. Most of my neighbours are snow free, don't know why we still have some.

Hubby is out visiting friends right now, but when he gets home I'm gonna talk him into getting a few lawn chairs out from our shed. I'd like to grab a glass of wine and just sit out on the patio for a little bit. Soak up a little more of that vitamin A.

Weighed myself this a.m. and I think I'm down another pound. But, of course, I'm kooky and I weighed myself about 20 minutes later and the pound disappeared. My scale is really odd that way. So, I figure I'm down probably a 1/2 lb. My scale only measures full pounds. I really should get a better one, but I figure, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Have a good evening all. I'll check back again soon.

Chris

 . . . Most scales do that . . . the only really accurate scales I've ever bumped into are those gigantic balance-beam things that they use in doctor's offices and hospitals. I'd love to have one, but am not willing to put an addition on the house for it. :p

My digital weighs in 0.2 increments and I usually get on and off every morning about 4 or 5 times -- until I see the same number twice or until I decide to give up and use an average. :dizzy: Used to drive me crazy. Now, I just  Hey, in the overall scheme of things, it's just one more bump in the road. :D

If anybody is curious, here is my "BLIP CHART" for the month of March -- even after doing the above-noted routine.

 . . . where is everybody

Beautiful weekend and Beautiful day ahead here in Ottawa. I am starting to see hope as the snow melts away!

Skinny Magee 04-07-2008 10:36 AM

Just popping on in between meetings here at work. It's GORGEOUS outside today...yay!!
I am down another 3 lbs...17 lbs since December 1st..I am quite happy about that :D

Mayson 04-07-2008 10:41 AM

Good for you skinny! Keep up the awesome job! :)

bopeep 04-07-2008 11:19 AM

It's still sunny and warm - the snow is melting fast! I feel like a five year old a xmas!!

I shoveled a lot of snow off my plants yesterday - there was way too much on them and it would have drowned them as it melted. I'll finish that up today. I think I'll do some errands too - any excuse to get out and enjoy this sun!

I've got one of those variable scales too - bugs the heck out of me! I weigh myself every day, and to get any sense out of it, I have to weigh myself several times and take the average.
