Day 3 - pause - Practice portion control at dinner - 2 pauses left
Day 3 - good - Exercise everyday - level 3
Day 3 - good - Minimum of 64 oz water - level 3

Had a really bad food day yesterday. Not sure why, but I just wanted to eat and eat! The good news is that I was so mad at myself that I am doing great today. Hopefully I got it out of my system for a while.

Katie! Congrats on the 30 pounds! That's great! Glad to have you join us here. By the way, I know different things work for different people, but your calorie limit is really low. I know when I was heavier, I was losing weight rather quickly on 1600-1800 calories a day. I would just hate to see you get stuck on a plateau and have to reduce your calories even further to keep the weight coming off.

Hi Apple! Hi Red! Gotta run.

katielou -- Welcome! It's nice to have you join us and best of luck on your challenges! By the way, a word of warning. If you are drinking loads of coffee and tea then you are going to be in for some severe withdrawal symptoms if you cut back so drastically. The trick is to wean yourself off the caffeine gradually by keeping the feed of caffeine constant but lessening it over time. Even if you get past the initial headaches, the severe cutback is likely to cause lethargy and depression until your embattled adrenal glands learn to work on their own again. I know! I've been there! and trying to get there again...well, to where I was when I went off megadoses for a year. Oh yes, and Katielou, congratulations on the 30 lb loss! That's magnificent!!!

dj -- Maybe the changing seasons? In any case, you're through Day 3. Good going!

Apple -- I hope you're feeling better. I was in the same boat, ultra pigouts! But, the last two days I've been just soooo depressed, it's not funny. At least you're walking! It IS better than nothing so don't knock it too much!

Day 3 & 4- good - Practice portion control at dinner - 2 pauses left
Day 4 - good - Exercise everyday - level 3
Day 5 - pause - Exercise everyday - 2 pauses left
Day 4 & 5 - good - Minimum of 64 oz water - level 3

Had to take a pause on the exercise yesterday. Had a busy day and took the kids to the fair. Got in a lot of walking, but I'm not going to count that as my exercise.

Red - A couple of your challenges may look iffy, but you're doing so well with so many of them! Just keep looking at the progress you're making.

Katie - Hope it's going well!

Hope everyones weekend is going well!

Hello. Well, I'm with you Red, I lost the challenge. I was actually hoping that as I was loading the page that there would be a "don't post here" warning and a new thread had started up and I could start fresh. I'm starting it up again anyway. I will seriously be dieting tomorrow!! I exercised today. I went to another women's gym today and it will do. It actually has quite a few things about it that are better than my old one. The major draw back is that I can't bring my son, so I can't go as often. But they have a punch card system, so I don't feel giulty about not being able to go as often as I'd like. Right now I'll only be able to go twice a week. Another draw back is that the weight machines are different and I don't know how to use them. I ended up signing up for a session with a personal trainer which is $$ but it will be interesting anyway. I don't want to bore you with the details, but i'm back in the Gym!!
Welcome Katielou!

Hello I am new and want to try the 21 day challenge. I have the hardest time caring about how I look and today I was thinking that maybe one of the first steps in the weightloss process that I need to do is to start making myself look good whether I am heavy or not. So I would like to challenge myself to 1) do my hair everyday 2) put on a little make-up and 3) put on something decent whether I am going out or not! So my challenge starts tomorrow Friday Sept 14th. Well I should do a few things before I have to go to bed so hope you ladies have a wonderful day!

Exercise Day 3 done, 2 pauses left
Diet....? I stayed under my calorie goal, but I had some food porn. I think I'll just restart.
I weighed myself this morning and I'm 1 pound down! I know it could just be regular fluxuation, but it made my happy. Back on schedule and back in the 150's.
Welcome to our thread, Utah! Great idea to keep yourself looking good!

Well, I am going to try to keep these challenges, but today is a bust and tomorrow might go that way too. My husband owns and runs a dump truck and hires out for whoever needs him. Usually the jobs last a day or two, sometimes even 3 or 4 days. Today, he got a call from a company he's worked for a few times to do a job in Yellowstone for 2-4 weeks and had less than 24 hours notice to get there! Needless to say, I've been running all day long trying to get him and the camp trailer ready to go. Tomorrow we have to get him, the dump truck, the pickup and the camp trailer all into the park first thing in the morning! Of course I need my car too since I need to get home. It's going to take a caravan to get him there and me back home again!

Anyway, yes, Yellowstone will be fun. It's been a while since we've been there even though we live nearby. Unfortunately though, we have to come back home tomorrow night since my son has to work on Sunday morning. Hopefully since my husband will be there for a while we'll get to visit a couple of times before the job is done.

Utahgirl! Glad to have you here!

Apple - Congrats on seeing the 150's again! Even if it's a fluxuation, it's one in the right direction!

I'll catch up with you all in a couple of days!

Smile Welcome!

Shy Moment -- There is no phase one. You just start with a challenge, that's all. It's very simple. Be sure to read the first post in this thread for an explanation of how things work. Just pick something you want to do for 21 days and do it every day! It's simple. If you forget to do it or can't just start counting over from one. That's the simple idea. We are now allowing "pause days," which means if you don't do your challenge thing that day you can take a pause and resume counting from the next day. But you don't have to take pauses at all. You can do it the original way..count...mess up...restart...count or just count straight through to 21! You can do it! And welcome!! :welcome1:
