I am adding my cheer,.... Hip, hip! Horray!! Monet is home!! Monet is home! I am glad you are home, safe and sound. Now, rest and get well I have missed your posts!

TONI : I am sorry I didn't know about your disability and I hope I didn't bring back any memories that saddens you. Wow, your own coffee shop? You sound like a very creative person. I have seen those little towns on Food Network where there are little coffee shops that are like hidden treasures. The locals just love them. What are some of your favorites to cook for your coffee shop business? You really need to share some of your skills and fav with us I just love to eat so I learnt to cook just so I can enjoy food whenever I want (the way I way it) without having to rely on anyone else...lol. As far as dh goes, I am so used to him working late but at least he gets to eat lunch with us before he goes off to work. That is why you usually see I spend more effort cooking my lunch than my dinner. I enjoy the time when dh is at work and I can do whatever with Jess and when Jess is asleep, I love the few hours that I have to do whatever I want especially spending time on the computer. Dh will use the computer when he is home, almost all the time. Oh yes, how was the leaks? Hope it is nothing major though.

BOB : No humidity in FL?? That would be so nice. Enjoy the weather while it lasts!

RUBY : Hope you are having a nice weekend

Tonight, I actually made a nice dinner for myself...why?? Because I know I can't eat tomorrow...lol. Hmmm....think I have some issues to deal with?? LOL. I made chicken parmesan (didn't have mozzerella cheese so I left that out) with ww flour (with shredded parmesan cheese) and egg wash. I topped the chicken with some leftover pasta sauce I had from lunch. I baked a sweet potatoes and sauteed some broccoli, bell-peppers, onions as my veggies. I am stuffed now.

Will check in later or tomorrow.

Ok, Here I am . I bit more rested. Please excuse the errors. While I was gone the internet connection on my computer decided to flake out. Of course, James asked me what I did...grrr. NOTHING! I was not even home! Tom's computer works fine, but I have a much nicer keyboard and desk....

I can't decide how I want to sleep tonight...propped up in bed, or just down on my side the way I usually sleep. Decisions, decisions!

I have to go back to the GYN on Tuesday to get my staples out. They usually take them out before you leave the hospital, but since I tend to heal slowly, I asked them to wait longer. It will be a bear to have to drive over there to have it done, but HOpefully, it will keep the incision closed well. Right now, according to the discharge nurse, it looks really really good! I know this is TMI, but I had a small earthquake of gas, and it made me feel loads better!

Tom is chilling watching a movie, and I just took a nap. I think I slept for at least a half an hour, which is not bad! I have more pain meds to take, but I am trying to space them carefully, so I don't run out at a critcal time. The one thing you don't want to do it run out!

I want to thank everyone for your prayers and well wishes. You all are the best! I will post more as my strength returns....

Default Good morning

Let's just say I've haven't been on track. So much for my strong resolve.

Monet..it's so good to see you. Awesome that the pain is much less than you expected. Way better than the other way around. My prayers are with your daughter. Breaking up is never easy. My daughter broke up with her fiancee a few months ago. It was the best thing for her and she has a new friend but it was hard for her to hurt her ex like that.

Julia...praying all goes well with your upcoming test.

Bob...glad to hear you are starting to feel better.

Toni...the best part of vacation is taking a break from home school. We just get to wake up with nothing planned. How neat that you had a coffee shop. We are a rural community and that would be something neat to have. My husband has always had the dream of having a small store with a checker board out front...LOL

Susan....I hope your cool weather lasts longer than ours. We had one day and it's warming up quickly. They said we will be near record highs this week. Not the best when you are hunting.

Deb...a quick howdy to let you know you are loved if you get a chance to sneak on.

Jack-k....((hugss))

Ruby...howdy

JackieO...hey girl how are you doing?

Melf...Sef...Gator...Beth...Rosalie..thinking of ya'll also.

The coffee just arrived so I'm outta here. I love that first cup of the day.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good afternoon...

Just got back from church and grocery shopping. Dh and dd had lunch, roast chicken and sushi while I had my veggie broth. My tummy is starting to make noises...lol. I think I am going to make some jello to calm my tummy as it is one of the few things I can eat. It will be the first time I am making jello. I have eaten it one time but haven't make it before. It will be interesting Dh and dd is watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang right now so I thought I will try to get some replies in :

MONET : You sound great! I am glad you are feeling much better than you thought you would be. I am sure Tuesday would be a breeze.

COUNTRYMOM : Thanks for your well-wishes, I can't get it over with

For the rest of you, "hi" and have a good Sunday everyone. I will definitely be at home as I have to stay close to the toilet...lol.

Good afternoon all.... Its a cool day here in the Ozarks. I've got a turkey breast going in the crockpot and will probably have it with a baked sweet potato and some green beans. Hope it turns out good. Well its a blessing here theres no rain right now. DH and I will need to go next week end and get some more roof coating. Wish we could afford a new roof. But its just not possible.

Julia- I'll be thinking and praying for you and your procedure. I've had 2 of those and hate the prep. Just think you'll have a fresh start on your eating when you get done! In my coffee shop people seemed to like just home cooking. Fried chicken, meatloaf, roast, etc. And lots of grease! LOL. No wonder I have a weight problem huh. I'm used of DH working at night to. And really love my time alone. I get to watch what ever I want on t.v. or reading, or the computer. I am awfully bad to make toast for breakfast and eggs and stuff like that for lunch. I need to do better.

Bob- Hope you're doing better today and the cough is less. Do you think you can go back to work?

Monet- I'm so glad to see you back on line. Woopie. Now rest lots and heal good and let the others pamper you for a change.

CountryMom- Well Monday is a new day and this week will be a good one I'm sure. Hopefully I'm going to try extra hard. We can do this.

Rubyslippers- Howdy to you....

Enjoy your Sunday everyone. Hopefully this week is a great one.

Hey, guys. I'm at my parent's house. I can't get on the computer at my home cause the phone is dead. Don't know what's wrong and can't get in touch with anyone at the phone company until tomorrow! So I may be MIA for a day or two. Well, the weekend hasn't been cheat-free BUT no bingeing. I had 2 bad meals where I was in a situation where it couldn't be helped, either eat that or go hungry. So I ate, lol. But I was down a pound from Friday morning when I weighed this AM. I still have 2 pounds to lose to get back to my low of 159. Today is very boring. I went to church and then came over here. Fixing to go back home and clean up or find something to do.

MONET- So glad that all went well! Get lots of rest.

Menu:

BF- LC shake
Lunch- I snacked...I had 1 slice of ham, 1 boiled egg, a handful of cashews, and then ate almost a serving of LC hot cereal. That stuff was GROSS! Yuck, I will not eat it again.
Snack- haven't decided but will keep it legal
Supper- fixing poppy seed chicken and green beans- was going to fix this the other day but had change of plans. The poppy seed chicken isn't totally legal but oh so good, lol.

Afternoon! James fixed my computer, so I can get on in my bedroom and not have to walk into the office. Everything aches today. I am hoping its normal, and not a setback. I just feel achy and a bit feverish, but no fever.

Eating has not been stellar. I just ate some potato salad and half a white roll that someone brought. Lunch was some beef stuff...and I did eat the potatoes... breakfast was 2 eggs scrambled and a piece of ww toast. I am also drinking as much water as I can, and juice. I am still cramping from the gas, but its not as bad as yesterday. Today, my muscles hurt- probably where they were retracted. They don't cut the muscles, just pull them out of the way. That has got to hurt! I feel like I was working out- hard. Anyone who has had abdominal surgery care to let me know if this is normal?

I can't sit long, so I better go. I need to take some pain meds, and get a nap in....

GOOD SUNDAY EVENING!!

First...I have this little tid bit for LAURIE......I don't know if this was in your paper, but I found it so funny and laughed until my sides hurt!

How To Call The Police
George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed
when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed,
which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door
to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and he said no.

Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door
and an officer would be along when available. George said, "Okay," hung up,
counted to 30, and phoned the police again.
"Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in my shed.
Well, you don't have to worry about them now
cause I've just shot them all." Then he hung up. Within five minutes
three police cars, an Armed Response unit, and an ambulance showed up at the
Phillips residence. Of course, the police caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George: "I thought you said that you'd
shot them." George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"
(True Story) I LOVE IT...

Sorry you're having trouble with your phone...hope they get the lines fixed soon for you!

TONI...I've going back to work tomorrow. Hope my temp stays where it is.
Still coughing and the nose is still running. THE ONE GOOD THING THOUGH...
I haven't been eating very much through out this whole ordeal and I tend to keep it that way. Haven't been on the scales yet, but will do that in the morning. Keep those fingers and toes crossed for me! I've been doing laundry all afternoon. Hadn't done any since we got back from our trip...WHEW!

JULIA...GOOD LUCK.....I'LL BE THINKING ABOUT YOU!!!

CRYSTLE....I think you're not being good caught on to me....I fixed a pot of yellow eyed beans, fried potatoes and cornbread for supper! Now there is a good side to this....since I've been sick, I've hardly eaten anything, so my portions were very small, and I WAS SATISFIED!!!!!

MONET...I'm sure the reason you haven't been on here today is because it's a proven thing that the 3rd day after surgery is the worst! Hope you're coping
and TAKE THOSE PAIN MEDS!!!!! That's what they're there for! They will give you some more when you go to the DOC...ASK FOR THEM!!!

Well, I'm off for now...everyone have a GREAT EVENING!!!

BOB: Thanks for the 3-4 day out of surgery advice. I was feeling pretty poorly today, and was hoping that is what it was. I am keeping up on the pain meds...its time for one now... I am SO achy! I hope that is all it is.
