Default Good Thursday Morning!

I said last night I was going to be back to post, but I did not make it. It was just Tom and I - home alone...so we went swimming by moonlight. Boy was the water cold! Hope you all did not miss me!

I made a huge mistake today. I drank a large mug of Kava coffee. (which is acid reduced, but not caffiene free) I am not supposed to have caffiene when I am on Phentermine, and so I feel like I am bouncing off walls and can hardly concentrate, or focus on a single thing! I have started several chores, only to get distracted half way through. I even did that with this post, and ran off for 30 minutes, came back and found it half written. Uh oh! Yes, Monet is on drugs!

I did well yesterday. I did not eat any potato chips! Yay me! I think it was cause my daughter was gone all day and out of sight, out of mind. I never saw them, so I was not tempted. I did go to an all you can eat Chinese buffet for lunch. I was not totally true to SB, but did not go overboard. I ate a small dinner to compensate. Scale was up a pound this morning, probably due to the stuff from lunch. Am doubling up on the water today to try and get back on track and back down to where I was.

I put a few pictures of cakes in my Webshots album. These are the only ones I have digital pictures of, but if I can find a scanner, I will add to it. Here is the link:

http://community.webshots.com/user/ellen770

GUMBO: Oh, man! We are leaving Atlanta July 20 to head on out to Grand Tetons. We will just miss you! That is too bad! It would have been great. Where in the south do you live?

BOB: If you are coming through here, I would love to meet you. I hope you come through before July 20th tho...cause we are leaving that day for two weeks out west. If we don't get to meet this time, I may have to come down there. I love Sarasota, and I won't have too much trouble convincing Tom we ought to go for a long weekend!

COUNTRY: Hey, congratulations on that mile jog! I know you must feel pretty good about that. The farthest I have ever made it running was 1/3 of a mile. I want to get to where I can run with my husband, so I think that is wonderful that you have made such progress! It inspires me!

SERENE: Hey, I am so glad you resisted the urge to weigh in the parking lot of Discount Auto. What a scene you would have caused as you were disrobing to get the best weight! Men in white coats? I think the police would have ticketed you for indecent exposure first!

SEF: Thanks for your kind words. I really need to meet you. We have a lot in common! I am totally with you on the shoes deal. I NEVER wear shoes, and when I do, it is Birkenstock type sandals. I wear them until it is so cold out I can't stand it and my toes turn blue, then I switch to my Rockport tennis shoes. Both my husband and I wear sandals to church, and kick them off during the service! He thinks shoes are evil and God intended feet to be bare! He even jogs barefooted!

Ok everyone, my attention span is ending here...hugs to all who I did not address personally...I will do so later today when the caffiene wears off and I can sit still and think again! Right now, I need to go and run off some of the nervous energy or I am going to go crazy!

Oh, wait! I already AM crazy!

Angry Good Mornig Everyone!!!

Hi everyone. It is another beautiful day here in Cinci. I think another swim type day. We have a nice little pool in out neighborhood that is not too busy. I make my two youngetst (2.5 & 4.5) wear the type of ss that has the floaters in them and then I also make my 2.5 y/o wear water wings...just to be safe. So it is a little more relaxing than last year when Josh, my youngest was falling all over and had no concept of the water and the dangers. I get in a little exercise while I am there as well. You know what I can't wait for is the day when I can take a book and read while my kids are swimming. I would say that is about 3 years away....but I can't wait. I have never had that, for 15 years I have had a child 4 or under and never able to read at the pool. So I figure when Josh is about 5.5 and can swim I might be able to read while watching them.

Gracious...
I hope you have a great trip. Sounds so wonderful. I know what you mean about the youngest being old enough to enjoy...thus you enjoying it more. I would love to go to the ocean this year. My dad lives in Florida....Bradenton...and I went there last year w/o my two youngest, so I went to the beach and all the fun stuff. I will keep your dad in my prayers. Mine is not saved either. What a blessing it would be! Your mom is still a baby as well....so the walk for them would be so exciting!!!
My oldest is going on a mission trip leaving this weekend. I am so hoping it will increase his blessings and bring blessings to them!

Monet...
Those cakes are fantastic!!!! What a awesome gift to have! Thank you for sharing.

I have noticed a few newbies....HI!!!! I had been MIA for a few weeks. I just want to say hello and tell you what a great place this is!

Kim...
Maybe I should not open those s.p. chips! As for me being skinny......no. I would say I am "normal" what ever the heck that is! I think I could weight 100 pounds and think I am still fat in some areas. You don't give birth to 5 kids and not have it change your body. I am about as happy as I think I can be w/ my body...which isn't really happy. It is more of an acceptance thing.
Are you going to any "festival" this weekend? We have one by us that we have gone to and I see everyone of my neighbors..LOL! Cinci seems to be big on those festivals, don't they? My kids love them because the games are cheep and easy. And BTW...gimme a break....you do not need to lose one pound in order for us to get together! I would love to met in July.........what do you think?? I figure by then I will be ready, Kings Island burnt out and pool fried.

Country...
Man....I want to be you! I can't jog to my mail box! WTG! You will be like Deb in no time. I huff and puff after doing my bike for one mile! Keep up the good work gal!

Deb...
I would say I am eating about 13-1600 cal per day...pending on the day. I am so busy. See, before I started dieting, I really was very inactive. Even w/ five kids, I did as little as I could. I have been really keeping busy and started exercising on top of it all. Maybe my metabolism has picked up. I know it increases w/ muscle gain. Who knows?? I am not about to question or complain! The one thought I had was muscle lose due to the fact I did not "exercise" for 2.5 weeks. I was busy, but not really exercising. I do think there is a difference. Either way, I am trying to start up the exercisisng again.
BTW....your awesome! I could not imagine going for that many miles.....in that heat! You must feel so happy!

To everyone else...........HI!!!!!

The Nancemeister is proud to announce that I'm back down to my all-time low! 232.5 I was so good yesterday, and it paid off! YIPEE!!!!!! Now I can really get to business! We ran out of water at work. Sparkletts man where are you???? Don't they know I'm on a mission?!?!?!

Having a great time at work (not!) One of my co-workers, who happens to be one of my best friends....has not been speaking to me for 1 1/2 days...real pleasant, and real immature if you ask me! She "told" me to do something, that I feel I didn't need to be involved in and I said "No" and every since then it's been the silent treatment. I really don't feel I'm in the wrong, but this not talking stuff is ridiculous? I don't feel like apologizing just for the sake of talking again, because I don't feel I was in the wrong. Any suggestions? (p.s. she does the silent treatment to her husband when she is mad at him)

BOOKS ....I never got back with my fellow readers about books. I can't say that I actually read too many novels, but I do enjoy them if I find a good one, but I mainly like to find pictures books on home decorating, gardening, and cooking. Mind you my house is certainly nothing to write home about, but I like to dream of what it will become one day!

Serene I am ready for a road trip! Got a new atlas, and am ready to go...now if I can work on just accruing enough vacation hours and save some $$!

Monet I'm with you on being barefoot! Love it! That's why I have to buy the special foot creme to make them all better! I want to buy a pair of moccasins (sp?). My sister bought a pair of Minnatonka's (sp?) and said they are super comfortable. I'm going to check out your cakes when I have some more time...thanks for sharing with us!

Jack-k I'm back on track and then some! If you can survive not drinking any Margarita's, then I can survive anything!
I deliberatley(sp?) haven't bought a new blender because I know what I would want to make with them, and trust me last summer it became almost a nightl habit

SEF Are you going to post that Shrimp Scampi recipe on the board for us? Please, pretty please?????

CountryMom How do you do with your water on a regular basis? Are you a big water drinker or not? Just curious. I would rather spend more time with my kids if I could too! Always a good decision!

BOB Hope you get on the mend. Have you been out of work all this time? The girls weekend sounds like fun. I'm always up for those! Saw "The Majestic", which was filmed in Ferndale....not too many scenes in the town, but enough for you to get the picture!

Frog I am going to have to get the "Farmer's Almanac"....I had not idea there was so much advice in it! I believe in full-moon stuff, but then again I have a bat as my avatar!

Solshine Hope all is going well with the casa transaction! You'll be planting flowers in the fron yard in no time at all!

Deb Hope yoiu don't wear yourself out with all this grand opening stuff! Too bad about the band, any hope of finding a substitute?

What's all this FLYLADY stuff....I missed something. A web site with cleaning tips? I'm out of the loop!

Tranquil I just saw a program on tv about how good weight training is for woman....supposed to help with osteoporosis prevention and all sorts of other benefits. I need to get my butt back over to the rec center a couple days a week!

Well, as uasual.....I gotta get ready for work! UGH! Isn't it Friday yet?????

Default Thursday morning

Hi, all. I was MIA yesterday because my DD is recuperating downstairs on the couch and wants to use my laptop to chat with her friends. So, being the sweet mom that I am, I have to grab this thing whenever she's asleep. I did get to read the posts late last night but didn't have the enengy to type out a post.

WIW: Same old same old. Was up 1 pound, but it is my week. I'm hoping to see a drop by the weekend when this stuff is finished.

Deb: I agree you should get checked out. When you are eating right and exercising, you should not be feeling yucky. Your body is telling you something. Hope you are having fun with this quiet time. And I hope your kiddos are enjoying their cruise.

Rose: I bet you're glad you are up in the Smokey's instead of being down here on the prairie. It's hot! And we have HUMIDITY today. My HFS can't find any agave for me since I bought out their stock. I've asked her to look for Sweet Cactus Farms but she said she can't find it. So I'm being very stingy with my Agave. I went into mourning when I emptied my first bottle. Now I only have 5! We have Curves here in Rockwall, but I'm paying through the nose now for the Y membership, so I'll just try to get myself into gear and work out up there. I love the pool since they enclosed it.

Crystle: WTG Girlfriend with the jog. I'm with you on the stall. I journaled my food intake on Fitday for a week and got myself back in the routine of thinking about what I was eating. Nothing off plan, but definitely too much food.

Monet: Hope you calmed down. You sound like me and I don't even have the meds to blame. I'm just scatter-brained. Too many things going on. I probably have a slight case of ADD but they didn't diagnose those kinds of things when I was growing up. I was always a quiet, obediant child and my sister was the rowdy one, so people didn't notice me. I could read the same page in a book 5 times and still not know what I read because I was thinking about other things. Still happens today.

Quilter and Toni: I know what you mean about not talking about being on a diet. But I've become a very outspoken person about this WOE and the health benefits of a sugar-free lifestyle. And everyone at school has watched the weight come off. I just hope there's more off by the time school starts again and I can just keep being a positive spokesperson for healthy eating. So don't talk about "the diet". Talk about the healthy eating!!!!

Tree: I am so sorry about your dry socket. I hope you are feeling much better. My DD is on Vicodin, too. She had knee surgery and wants it to be all better right now and is frustrated that she can't walk yet.

Missy: Glad the bleeding stopped. Hope you continue to feel better. Get that voice in gear for those little first graders! Remember what I always said when teachers complained about what those babies couldn't do: They are just Kindergartners who had a 3 month vacation! I love them when they are little and still love you.

Kimmy: Hope you are having a good day. Thinking about you right now!

Gracious: Have a wonderful vacation. Sounds like a very peaceful, relaxing place.

Tranquil: You should be able to detox your DS fairly quickly. Just keep lots of fruits and healthy things around for him and he'll get right back where you want him. My MIL will do the same thing when she has my kids. They are older now, of course and don't want to visit the GPs anymore.

Serene: Use the scales as a tool, not a drug! Keep it in a very inconvenient place until Wednesday morning so you won't obsess. I need to listen to myself right now.

BOB: How you doin' Friend? Take ALL of your meds. Sinuses are hard to reach and the infection could linger on. Hope you feel better real soon.

Frog: So glad you are back. We need you to give us all a swift kick in the bootie to get us out the door and moving.

Beth: Where are you? I'm going to call you on Wednesday. That's when I'll be in Huntsville.

GBM: Good luck with your adoption procedings. God has the perfect baby just waiting for you to be a mommy.

BKM: Glad you had a good vacation. How's your son? Did he recover from his surgery and ready to play football again?

Jenn: I don't know how well you know your future in-laws, but surely if you explain that you are trying to get healthy, they'll understand if you bring alternative foods. I have had to do that for a long time. My in-laws love sweets and Christmas was torture. We had cakes, pies and candy everywhere. And I really needed lots of fruit and nuts to get me through the visit. I think next Christmas I'll make some SB legal desserts and just eat those.

Nance: How are you doing today? Keep up the good attitude. Just remember we are becoming healthy women(and man) and the weight loss is an added benefit!!!!

Red1: How are things? Are you able to get your parents off the bad foods and towards eating your way so you don't have to cook so many different meals? DS is on his way to Pearl and I probably won't hear from him until Monday when he gets there. Boy instant messages and email have spoiled me rotten. Even though he's half-way across the country during the school year we "talked" every night on AIM. Now he's on a boat in the middle of the Pacific and I can't hear from him.

Gumbo: How's your summer?

Sef: Hope you are resting this week.

Mercy: Welcome to the board. I've been gone for a while. I buy the deluxe mixed nuts and try to hold down how much I eat. I also buy almond butter at the HFS. It's delcious.

Jack-K: How was bunko? And the taco ring? I've never been to a bunko party.

Mel: How are you doing? Are you enjoying you DD this summer? As above, I get to see my DS again next week when he meets me in Huntsville, AL. We are driving his car to Annapolis because he can have a vehicle now that he's a second class mid.

Sol: Getting ready for your move?

Zanne & Rosalie: Are you cooler up there than we are down here in TX? We'll all be frying by August at this rate. It's already in the 90s and it's just turning summer tomorrow.

Tina: No workshops for me until August. Our district approved the hiring of 2 elementary instructional technologists and I've applied for one of them. Say a prayer for me, everyone, because I really want to move into this field. I love my job teaching gifted and talented and still have that if the other doesn't work out. Our district has started a Cohort program for teachers wanting to get their master's degree and I am in that. Thought I should get that done before I retire! We take all of our core classes together here in the district. There are 15 of us and it'll be quite different from going up to TAMU-Commerce for classes. I excited and nervous about going back to school.

Fillese: When's the next election? You doin' okay?

Hope everyone has a good day. If I missed you, I'm sorry.

Take care!

Morning!

Another check-in. I've been skimming the posts. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement - just reading makes my day go better!

Made it to Curves again yesterday, and plan to go again today. Normally will try to have 1 day rest between, but schedule this week wouldn't allow it.

Haven't been doing my WATP or elliptical. For some reason have been VERY VERY tired, almost dragging. I normally bound out of bed in the mornings, but the last two weeks I can barely stumble up even after hitting snooze far too many times.

Went to Caribou Coffee (sorry Deb) for a skim Chai Latte... not legal, but I don't drink coffee and I was dragging this morning. Even the caffeine, which I don't normally drink, isn't helping. I need to start taking my supplements again, I think.

Unfortunately, the hypertension medication I'm on leaches potassium from my body, so it could be as simple as taking the supplement again to get it back up.

That's about it for now. This website is like a baby - we're in the final weeks, and all we want is to get the darn thing OUT!

Hugs,

Jenn

P.s. Can't remember who mentioned this, but I'm seeing a new Dr. next month, and want to ask her to run a thyroid test to see what's up with me.

Was it the TSH or the T4 that I need to get? What was that about even though the readings aren't outside of "normal", that if they are on the higher end, that it may be sub- something or other? Thanks!

Good morning all, started posting yesterday evening and had to click off my computer. Hope I don't miss anyone today if so I'm sorry... Nice and humid here in ole Missouri today. I'm hopeing to do allot of working on my computer today. Have a small pot of beans cooking for dinner tonight and the house pretty well straightened so I'll see what happens.

Quivondra-Good luck with the more exercises. Bet you're looking good...

Mercy-Congradulations on your 2 lb. loss. WAY TO GO. And 3 miles is so great. I have trouble with peanuts too. If I keep them in the house I find I can't stay out of them so guess thats going to be a no no for me. I keep getting my helping size bigger. I love all kinds of nuts. walnuts, pecans, almonds. I love to cook with almonds.

BigKnightsMomma- Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation. And got to meet Quilter to boot. Now climb back on the wagon and off ya go.... I better never taste that ice cream.LOL..

gracious-All you can do is get back on track now gal and go on. Next week will be better... I see flylady is keeping you busy.. I agree if the kitchen and bathroom are clean you got it made... I just love getting up in the morning to the shiney sink. But whats helped me the most is getting up and dressed.

Yellowrose-Congrads on getting back on track. I know what you mean about one thing leading to another when you start fixing a room up. We are constantly remodeling here. Ouch on the agave price. Just wonder why its up so high and hard to get...

Monet- Howdy do and Congrads on passing up the chips!!

gumbo-AHHHHH pizza hut.....But if you're going to eat it might as well enjoy it...

Bob-Good for you resting lots.. Smart gal... Let that medicine work and you get well soon...

Frog- Howdy to you....

gottobeme- Good to see you posting gal....

The Quilter- Its funny how something a simple as tuna will just hit that spot. I'll do that with somekind of food and eat it for two or three days in a row. Its like your body is craveing something in it. I ordered Life Strategies by Dr. Phil. Its supposed to have the section about weight in it. I got it at half.com for 5. something. I would also like to read self matters. Good for you with the chocolate candy. I'll bet it felt so good to say no thanks...

CountryMom-Yea for your jog. Thats so very good. Keep up the good work. Good luck the rest of the week..

Kimmy- Nice to see you posting... Sounds like you're busy with those kids... What wonderful memories you'll have when they grow up...

Nancemeister- Wow congradulations on being down. You are really traveling on. Good for you for standing up for your rights of not getting involved. Your co worker is really hurting herself. Hope she straightens up and starts talking when she sees its not working on you.... fly lady is a site that helps you organize your house and life a bit... www.flylady.com

Okay I'm at the end of the road here and time to get some other stuff done.... Have a great day...

Mornin' y'all. Got in my 2miles this morning AND was down 1 1/2 lbs this morning. We did celebrate Juneteenth yesterday by eating watermelon. I know it's not legal, but I love it, so I indulged. I've started another quilt. This is a small one for Dennis to cover up with when he's sitting in his recliner. It's just made with scraps left over from other projects. After that I'm going to work on another crochet afghan for my niece. She graduates from Texas A&M in December and I want to make her something special.

Sorry I can't get to everyone. The kids are bugging me to go swimming, so here we go.

Later.

Hi everyone! I am a bit calmer now. I have bread baking in the bread machine. I got two new things in the mail today that I got on ebay. One is a new CD I am enjoying listening too..a new Michael W. Smith one. And I got a new compact flash card for my camera. Now I am all ready to snap LOTS of pictures on vacation! I got both cheap too!

Tonight, we are going to my son in law's father's house, where we had the reception. He invited us, and my SIL's mom so we could all watch them open their wedding presents. They are serving dessert. I will pass on it. I have already heard it is a berry pie. I will try and go full and not be tempted. Since they do not like me, it will be easier. I will want to feel better about myself while there, and passing up a dessert will do that.

J RED: Hey, I do that too...five times on the same page
and I still don't remember what I read! I don't know if
that is ADD, or just being a very intuitive personality.
Intuitives are very easily distracted! I got a double
whammy with the meds and caffiene today!

KIMMY: Thanks! Hey, enjoy these years when your kids
still young! I just married off my middle child, and
boy do I feel old! How I wish I could go back and play
with them again...back when they still thought I was great
and listened to what I said! I sure miss those days!

NANCE: Yay! Way to go on the weight! Flylady is a web
page with cleaning tips. If you sign up, they send you
reminders, and give you routines to help you get it done.
Go check it out at www.flylady.net You need to try some novels! I like the picture books too, but nothing beats the
escape of a good novel! I can get so absorbed, I forget to
eat, and have NO idea what time it is! Honest! As for your silly immature co-worker, just talk to her normally, and like there is nothing wrong. Eventually, she will look ridiculous to the others. :S:

JENN: I think I am the most avid (rabid? ) thyroid
preacher here. If you can get the doctor to do both T4
and TSH tests, that will give you a more accurate picture.
If your TSH is above a 3, to 3.5, you might benefit from
a bit of hormones. The biggest problem is finding a doctor
willing to experiment with it. It is a pendulum swing
reaction to over use of thyroid meds to help overweight
people lose weight back in the 50's and 60's. If it is
3.5 or higher, ask. If your doctor won't even listen, find
another doctor. You can look on the about.com thyroid
pages for a list of good thyroid doctors. I am glad you
are getting this checked out. Thyroid problems are very
common, very UNDER diagnosed, and SO easy to treat! Good
luck!

TONI: How far from St. Louis are you? I am going to a
wedding in early August about 30 minutes from St. Louis,
in southern Illinois.

MUSIC: Hope you enjoyed the pool! I admire your constant
creating quilts. I made one once, or twice..but I am TOO
lazy to do more!

Just sneaking a quick post here. I am totally swamped. and really shouldn't be here. I am typing fast.

Someone mentioned weight training. On the news last night they said working with wts not only helps yo tone, but improves and prevents bone density loss. They said no matter what age, 40, 50, 60, 70, you can add back bone density by wt lifting. THey had a 70 yr old who had added back 2%. So it's worth doing and it helps with your metabolism and losing wt. So everyone get out some wts and start lifting.

BUnco was fun last nite. So relaxing. My friend, save me some meat and some strawberries so while they had strawberry shortcake, I still got to eat something. She is so sweet. I won 2nd prize to. It was a western print relish tray. Very pretty. My DD is eying it up. Probably wants to take it with her. LOL.

Serene, WTG on the 2 lbs. Now stay off that scale until next WIW. Good luck at the reunion.

Quiv, COngrats on your loss. Got to keep exercisng thugh. I have decided that it is something you have to do for the rest of your life.

Mercy, Wow 2 lbs. Congrats. I used to eat peanuts when I started. But now I only eat them occassionally. Nuts are good for yur thugh. I used to be so strict and count out 12 nuts. Now I'm not so strict.

BKM, Sounds like a graet vacation. Bet the kids had a ball. Nice that you got to meet Quilter. Hop right back on that wagon and that 5 pounds will be gone in no time.

Gracious. Make that committment, get back on the wagon for one week and see great results.

Yellow, I have RLS (restless leg syndrome) so I might try that potassium supplement to see if it helps. Thanks.

Gumbo, Have you ever tried making pizza at home with the ww crust. I really like it and you don't feel deprived.

Bob, glad you are getting some rest. That's the best thing for you right now. Get well.

Frog, I take a B6 everyday for my carpal tunnel (I'm falling apart) and I eat alot of protein. Who knows, just getting old I guess. LOL How's the SL@H going?

Gotta, glad you are back posting. I felt like we made a kinda "connection" Good luck. I was thinking abut you adopting on the way home last night.(Sometimes it's dangerous for me to be alone with my thoughts) but it really takes a special person to adopt a baby. That baby will be so luck because You really wanted him badly Good luck.

Quilter, Thanks for the kind words.

Country, great time on your walk/job. You are doing great. I can't run a whole mile yet. I break mine into 3 parts.

Monet, A moonlight swim sounds so romantic. Hope you come down off the high. Keep drinking, probably alot of sodium retention. I can't believe your DH jobs barefoot. I never go without some type of shoes. Have fun watching the opeing of the gifts. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like you. What's wrong with those people.

Kimmy, Your pool day sounds refreshing. Wish I could go. Good luck on getting back to exercising.

Nance, WOW< HuRRAH! I know you could do it. I am doing the Happy dance for you. Now just keep on going. Sounds like your co-worker is very immature. No suggestions. Yes I did pass on the margaritas. Had wine instead.

Jred, Hope DD is getting better daily. Bunco was very relaxing. We sat around the pool and had dinner and drinks (only wine for me). I took my ww tortilla and was perfectly legal.

Jenn, I have been soo tired to lately. I think I need to take some type of supplement too.

Toni, If you have your house straight and your dinner cooking, you are all set. Wish I could say the same.

Music Teach, WTG on the 1.5 pounds. Keep on truckin.

Have a great day. I won't be back ontoday, but hopefully tomorrow.

Jackie

Hi all,

This has been a very hectic week for me. My family is having a 25th wedding anniversary so we have been busy, busy, busy! Tonight is the rehearsal and the ceremony is tomorrow. So, we have have famliy coming in from everywhere, Missouri, Atlanta, Canada and Ohio. It is really hot here today it is 92 degrees. I had a good day today as far as my eating is concerned. I'm so glad I will be off from work until Tuesday. Thank God.

Last night I was in the mall with my husbad and I brought the book Sugarbusters Shopping Guide. It really gave me a better insight as to what we are allowed to eat. It's really a big help when you are out grocery shopping. I used it last night at the store.

Gumbo- maybe I will try almonds since I can't control myself with the peanuts.

jred- Thanks for the tip about the almond butter I think I will pick some up.

Toni 48- I have relatives coming in from Missouri They are from St. Louis.

Jack K - I think I am going to stop eating peanuts beacause I have a hard time controlling myself once I get started. I would never just count out 12.

Well I have to go now to get to rehearsal. Have a great day all!!

OK, survived the pool. Actually it’s just a small, inflatable pool (6X10) in the backyard. That’s enough for me. Hopefully the kids will be sufficiently worn out and will conk out early. Wishful thinking. James and Sarah have been going to VBS with the neighbor kids this week and Dennis is working today so it will just be me and Maggie for a while tonight. A bit of quiet anyway.

Read an interesting article while waiting to get James’ new frames adjusted. It was in Reader’s Digest. Wonder if any of y’all saw it. Anyway it said that milk and other dairy products can greatly enhance weight and fat loss. Didn’t get to read it in depth, but it was very interesting. Gonna try to do a little more research on it. Let me know if any of you have any great knowledge on the subject.

JACK-K: Awww. How nice of your friend to think of you with the strawberries. That sounds soooo good.

MONET: Hope the dinner at the inlaws goes well. And WTG on you ebay efforts. Love Michael W. Smith.

JENN: Hope you’re feeling better. There must be a draggy bug going around.

JEANIE: Wow, working on your Master’s huh? If I had not done that before I had kids I never would have done it. I’ll have to give Dennis most of the credit, tho. I had already started working on it when we got married. He wanted me to finish so my dad wouldn’t blame my not finishing on him. Got my Master’s at TAMU- Commerce (when it was still East TX State). How’s DD?

NANCE: WTG on your new low! What’s with the friend? Don’t you just love it when grown ups act like kids?

KIMMY: Did you swim today? It makes me really nervous to go to a big pool with my kids. None of them swim too well.

MONET: Have you calmed down yet? I can’t handle much caffeine either. Makes my skin crawl.

COUNTRYMOM: Wow! I’m impressed. A mile run. I would not even attempt it. Too many jiggles for one thing.

GOTTA: Don’t think I said it yet....WELCOME BACK!

BOB: Hope you’re feeling better today.

GUMBO: WTG on those 10 lbs. Keep it up, girl.

GRACIOUS: So glad to hear about your mom and will be praying for your dad. He just doesn’t know what he’s missing, right?

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!!

BOB is somewhat better, my eyelid is still swollen and still hurts...lymph nodes are still swollen, ear tube is still aching just a bit...I guess I'm not as "better" as I thought
I've been going to work because I'm not contagious to anyone but myself...since I sit in an office and there isn't anything physical, I would rather not use up my PTO for being sick! ALTHOUGH...had I stayed out just three more days, I could have
used my banked time for illness...I've got over 800 hrs in there, but you have to use 40 hrs of regular PTO before getting into it.

Yes, I'll be going to the CHICK WEEK at my cousins...she's located in the mountains, and her back porch wraps around the back of her house...wonderful in the mornings for coffee, and in the evening for a toddy or two
Sorry MONET....I've decided to fly, but it's the afternoon that you're leaving so we'll do it next time..

Ladies...I'm off to recline...I've already taken my medicine and feel lethargy coming on...good MOB MOVIE on this evening so I'll watch that...or, should I say...I'll have it on?????

BOB

Default I'm Back!!!

Did you'll think I got lost on my way back from FL????? Sorry I have not had the time to sit down & post since we're back from vacation. We had a WONDERFUL time. My DS & BIL had a great time too. This vacation is definitely a memorable one.

SEF, I found the perfect spot for that "Friends" piece you gave me. Again, let me say how very much I enjoyed our visit in your home & do hope that we will be able to get together again in the near future.

I will try to post a couple of pics. This first one is SEF in her pink sitting room doing one of her favorite things, needlepoint. This is a beautiful piece she was working on at the end of May.

OK, the pics are too big to upload. I'm going to post them on a site & enter the site address here. Try this & see if it will work. I've posted an album of 9 pics taken during our trip. Hope it works!!

OK, it worked when I clicked on it, so hopefully you all can view the album as well.

Serene & Tranquil, I did really enjoy our lunch & long chat that day at St. Augustine. Wendy, glad to see that you've decided to join the board. Both you gals are so soooooo well!!! Sabrina, way to go girl!! You're really shedding those lbs. Sounds like the training is really working for you!

SlapHappy, are you back from vacation??? Hope you had a nice trip to Gatlinburg. If you're like me, I was kind of reluctant to head back for work after the nice relaxing time we had. But work I must. At least I'm fortunate to have work that I dearly love. My patients always bless me. Well, most of them anyway... I really did enjoy getting to know you & Donald. And did I forget to mention that we also have a Sheltie??? She is 4 yrs old. Thurman found someone that has 2 males to sell for only $100 each & we're talking about getting both of them if they are still available.

Well girls, got to go get supper ready for my hard working FARMER BROWN HUBBY... LOL He's just coming in from the garden which is really producing well. So I need to go get in the kitchen. That is part of the reason that I have not been able to post. He keeps picking & I need to get it stored so we don't loose any of it.
We have been sharing alot of the veggies with friends & eating lots & lots of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, yellow squash, zuchinni, green beans, Jackson Wonder Limas, okra just starting to make & corn almost ready to pick.

Debbie, can you please send me your zuchinni bread recipe or at least direct me to where it is on the board??? I really want to make some. Also plan to make Zuchinni Pizza soon.

Bye!
