Thanks for the directions, Kath. I looked all over user CP and never looked at edit options. It couldn't have been easier. I'll know when I post this if it worked. The ww lasagne noodles were great. They actually held the lasagne together better than the regular IMHO. One box isn't enough for a 9 x 13 pan though. I printed out the spaghetti recipe. I was thinking of using FF ricotta instead of cottage cheese. I'm afraid Jim will see the little lumps and not eat it. Sandra, can you see the lumps when it's baked?

I'm going to shower now. I fed Jim. Poor thing still can't eat soft foods yet; only liquid. I thought about calling the Doctor tomorrow but I think it's becuse he won't let me put that numbing gel on his tongue. Ugh. I hate it when patients won't do what I want them to do!

I have a prevention magazine and WW magazine to read in the bubble bath. I made myself plain chicken and a rice and bean dish. It was ok. I felt guilty eating it in front of Jim. He yelled at me and told me to stop worrying. I cried. Sheesh.

I'll be back tomorrow.

Vickie, it's totally understandable that you are emotional right now.

Kathy, a Derby party in Texas huh? And yes, you all might have to ground me from the internet. I'm quite behind!

I guess it's time for me to get back to packing or studying. Something!

I think the cottage cheese melts and you can't see lumps. The ricotta gets a little too grainy for my tastes.

Erin's back from the store and I guess I'll go in there and see what I need to do. I changed the sheets by myself and got worn out, so I have to rest for a little bit first.

Hey! Aren't you supposed to be reading???

Actually, I guess I'd better get in there and get busy. Maybe Judd will take pity and help me! I'm sure he'll complain that I'm up but I am really getting tired of eating fast food and he doesn't really cook.

She got me a bag of jelly beans though, so I'm a happy girl.

Mission accomplished. Watch your local cable channel for our upcoming episode of "Wheelchair Cooking."

It was a doozy! I have total empathy for people who are in one for life. Of course, if that was the case, we would have to reconfigure the kitchen to accommodate the wheelchair. I had to line up a series of potholders all along the island so I could get the hot skillet of ground beef from the stove to the sink and back. Getting into the fridge and pantry was a little tough too because of the one leg that sticks straight out. I can't get up close to anything so I have to lean way over and it's dangerous. I did tip over the other day while picking something up off of the floor but wasn't hurt.

Now the lasagna is in the oven and maybe one of the others will make a salad. If not, we won't have any. Now I'm going to rest for a few more minutes.

we just got home from the tournament. we had a blast. curtis shot in a group of 4 other folks. i stayed at registration and visited with friends. sure felt good to be around a lot of people. eatingwise i did great. one of the first things i did when we got there was peek at the menu and make my plan. then i stuck to it. now that's an accomplishment for me.

what an adorable bundle of joy! vickie, she's so tiny. makes me teary eyed.

kathy, does tanya live in texas? you might run a search on her.

saundra, you're right. the ride is wonderful. it sounds like you're having a peaceful sunday.

vickie, i'm glad you're going to ww tomorrow. you are the main one who got me to rejoin. it is important to go to meetings. and--of course--we don't have 7-11's in western montana. darn it!! i'll have to check at some of the local convenience stores to see what they have in the slurpee department.

angela, i hope you didn't get too much sun--but didn't you enjoy being out? i love this time of year.

melissa, "honey we're killing the kids" (i think?) we saw one episode. it was pretty good. they ran a computer simulation of what the kids would look like at 40 if they kept on eating the same. eyeopener for the parents. they were crying.

wow, melissa! you'll be moving soon. i vote for any challenge you come up with. this is the "turnaround" week for me. i weighed 190.4 fri. hope i can make it to the 180's this week. if not maybe by next week.

kathy, that spaghetti pie is good. hmmmmmmm i have all the ingredients. i should make some this week, too. you are amazing, woman. i can't imagine cooking from a wheelchair.

angela, thank you for reminding us of the recipe. i had put it on the "back burner" of my mind.

vickie, i don't remember seeing lumps. i'm not sure if they are there or not. angela prob remembers better than i do.

we got maple chicken recipes at ww fri. i'm going to make it soon and will post it. it's almost core.

got to go spend some time with curtis. he just came in and kissed me on the cheek. sure made me smile. now we'll watch tv together for awhile.

LOL, Sandra! No, she lives outside of Nashville. I think I'll go up there and see if she wants to hang out.

It sounds like you had a good day! I'm glad you were able to stay on your plan in spite of being away from home. That's usually pretty tough to do.

Sandra and Vickie, I think the lumps show a little...but no more than in regular lasagna. Ricotta would definitely blend in more smoothly, but I prefer the flavor of cottage cheese.

I did enjoy the open house, but am still feeling icky. I think it's my allergies.

Time for bath for the girls,
Angela

I had to use regular instead of FF in mine because it's all I had. I figure it's not totally Core but neither are these jelly beans I've been eating. I may or may not have any. If I don't, I'll probably just eat some cereal or applesauce.

Kathy, you should definitely have some. And yes, I am supposed to be reading. Be careful in that crazy wheelchair!!

Sandra, I'm so glad that you had a good weekend, both in fun and in eating. You are doing AWESOME! You're really inspiring me. I can't let you get too far ahead!

OK, like Kathy reminded us all, I should be reading. Ta-ta!

Hi Everyone
Hope everyone has had a great weekend. Cant believe the weekend is over already.
Well not much happening here. Went to BIL and the niece and I walked 3 miles. Only got 1 in yesterday. Had to walk on the treadmill. And when I walk on that it makes my feet and knees hurt. But it rained off and on all day. This morn we had a bad storm. But this afternoon was beautiful. But I think we are to get more rain this week. But we need it.
I have read the post. Was afraid to chance that. Will try and read them after I post this. And hopefully I can post this. I have tried to get on here. And have. But then when i go to start changing the pages to read the post that I have missed. it wont let me. And then freezes the computer.
So I am hoping everyone is doing ok.

VICKIE How are you and Jim doing. Keeping you in my prayers.
KATPO How are you doing. Hope you are healing nicely.
To everyone else I am thinking of you. Dont want to post too much and then it wont take it.
Well not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow evening.
Will try and let you know how it goes.
Take care everyone.
