Vickie, I love it! I would have picked that colour too. I agree, it is neutral and will go with any future changes that you may make. I hope that you and Jim have great snuggles on your new sofa.
I'm adding massage therapy (different coverage) to my treatments. Now, I'm doing one physio and two massages weekly. I'll do that for a few weeks and hopefully be near the end.

Now, I've got to go to the dentist. It's just a checkup and cleaning, but I'll be glad when it's over.

Good morning ... er, afternoon! I swore up and down last night that I would get up on time this morning. I didn't take the pain medicine until around midnight though, and it seems like it's been taking 4-5 hours to start working. By morning when Judd left, I was still so out of it that I didn't even try to get up.

But now I am. I'm still a little woozy so I'll be back later to read everything better. I skimmed the posts to try and keep up.

Vickie, the furniture is great! I like that color and it's probably what I would have picked as well. Very, very nice! I hope Jim is better today..

Saundra, I didn't know about your DS either. That's amazing how much he has raised and I hope he makes it thru the event successfully. I hope physio was good today.

Frouf, you hang tough, girl. I want Emily to realize what she has (had?) and somehow, some way, learn to appreciate you. Quite easy for me to say, huh? I agree that your DH seems somewhat improved lately, what with the landscaping start and all. You're going to have a beautiful yard finally! I remember you saying last summer how it has been put off for so long and how much you wanted a nice yard. This could be the year!

Angela, I've never heard of that movie but even so, I tend to agree with you. It takes a long time for people to realize that love isn't all butterflies in the gut or cold chills and hot flashes when you get a glimpse of your loved one. Of course, those are great things to have, but when it fades and when the newness wears off, you'd better be left with something besides a physical attraction! Enjoy digging in the dirt today. Will Lorena be helping? How is she doing?

Melissa, I know you're starting to panic. Just make your big list and do what you can. This stressful time will be over soon.

I talked to Shaun for a little while last night. I'm sorry to say I was a little emotional during the talk and cried a little, and he was worried and kept telling me it would all be okay. I had started out by asking if he had eaten yesterday and he said he did come down and get a piece of pizza. That's all he had had all day. I told him he needed to eat a whole lot more often that that, and that I wanted him to feel like he was a part of the household and feel comfortable. He said "it is what it is." That didn't sound good to me and I guess that's why I cried a little. Anyway, I felt better after we talked. I asked if he'd like a book to read and he said it depends on the book. I described the book to him and told him to think about it, and that today we would talk more and I'd let him flip thru it. I won't push it on him but I do think it would help and he has the free time to read. I guess we'll see.

Not much going on here today. Judd is helping a guy from work pick up a bed from Foley's at the mall. The guy bought a floor model and Foley's doesn't deliver floor models, and since Judd has a truck ... you know the rest. And then he has bowling, so he won't be home until around 9:00 tonight. I am going to make the pinto beans and brown rice tonight. It's easy and will reheat nicely.

Oh, hey, what did you all think of American Idol last night? I'm afraid Kellie is a goner after having two bad weeks in a row. I'm not sure why Paula was crying after Elliott's performance (Judd thinks she's drunk most of the time) because while it was good, it wasn't GREAT in my opinion. I liked Katherine, Taylor and Chris. Poor Taylor, it was all he could do to contain his moves. That boy just wants to GET DOWN!

At this point, I really think Chris could take it all.

Hey Kath, don't worry about the odd sleeping hours. You aren't ready to go back to work yet so why sweat it. It's nice that Judd is helping out even though it leaves you home basically alone. It would be great if Shaun actually read those books. You're smart not to force it on him though. He needs to think it's his idea. Any more news about when he reports? Is it all set in terms of his physcial condition and such?

Saundra, I'm glad you and Kathy liked the couch. It's so hard to pick that stuff without another woman's opinion. Jim tries but.......he's a guy! It looks kind of stiff in the picture but it is very soft and comfortable even when I lay down across the seat. I hope your PT goes well. I sure do like the idea of a massage on my feet.

I need to start thinking about the treadmill again. I've got my new shoes and the heel is not too sore.

Jim actually ate a whole can of campbell's basic chicken noodle. YAY!!! This is the first time he ate all the noodles. Can you believe he couldn't even eat those tiny straw noodles before? Anyway, that's progress.

I really have to go get to my budget and paperwork. I'll check in later.

We think Kelly is gone too. I liked Elliott and Chris and we didn't think Katherine was as bad as the judges did. We think bottom 3 are Kelly, Taylor, and Katherine.

I didn't see american idol last night. Poot.

Saundra, hope all is well with the PT. Massage sounds great.

Vickie, you're right, I am very sluggish, very tired, and quite stressed. I'm so glad to hear that Jim is eating more. I know you are relieved.

Frouf, like everyone else has said, hang in there. It will get better.

Kathy, I'm glad that you had a talk with Shaun. I'm sure you both feel better. Maybe it will be the start of more conversations?

Back to work, I have lots to do today. Taking Friday off means I have to get all of my paperwork for the week done by tomorrow.

kathy, i didn't see your post till today. i haven't talked to my son in several days. i'll call him. thanks for the heads up. i'm still op. i just worry because i'm eating more volume this week and i'm not taking those fat burners any more. oh, well, we'll see fri. you have been laid up a long time, haven't you? i hope you don't run into complications and can get back on your feet (literally!) soon.

angela, happy 10th anniversary!

melissa, i hope your stress is lessening. hang in there. school will be over soon.

frouf, you're not a nasty mom. maybe dd and all of you would be better off if she stayed with her dad this summer. i hope you're considering this.

saundra, disney in november!! i'll be envious of you. november i'm up in a tree with my bow.

vickie, your lazyboy sounds gorgeous. we have their rocker/recliner, and recliner loveseat. don't know how we lived without them. thank you for looking over my menus and for giving me such encouragement. i am wanting to get fri over with. i know i shouldn't take fat burners. i haven't had any this week. i also know i need to start exercising and hope to be able to start soon.

kathy, i'm glad you and shaun had the talk. i have to tell you--i got teary reading about it. curtis thinks paula's on something, too. and kellie? we thought she was awesome and voted for her (numerous times). i don't know why the judges didn't like her this week. i agreed with them last week that she wasn't good--but not this week. what did you think?

vickie, we thought the bottom 3 should be taylor (my favorite!), katherine, and paris. elliott is good technically but there's something missing with state presence. same for paris. chris has both. the only thing that might hurt him is he's married. that may cost him a lot of female votes. i'm not sure. i agree with andreas that kelly and taylor have stage charisma. not sure how far that will carry them. i do think the judges were too hard on kelly this week. when she hit that high note, i came up off the loveseat. it made my hair stand on end. it sounded like the live audience was doing about the same. (but what do i know?)

I think whether or not they technically have a vote, the judges pretty much seal their fate when they dog them so much. I actually liked Kellie's performance and thought that high note was spot on, but when the judges criticize her I think that sways the voting audience. By Randy mentioning something like "you blew it again", that reminded people about last week where she really did flub up.

I think Paris has a good voice but she's not my favorite; Chris, Taylor and Katherine are. My picks for the bottom three would be Kellie, Paris and maybe Taylor although I thought he did well. I really think Kellie will be leaving tonight. I hope I'm wrong, but it's narrowing down so much.

I agree with you about Elliott. He lacks that "it" factor they talk about. One thing we know though, all are very talented and have a future. I can see any one of the six moving on and getting a recording contract quickly.

Well, Sandra, you know what you like and that's what makes American Idol. I love Kelly but thought her performance was flat this week except for the high notes. She didn't seem to think she did well either. You don't need the fat burners to lose. Just get as much exercise that old foot will let you get.

Hang in there, Melissa, you'll get it all done.

I'm off to get some lunch and do some more laundry.

I like Elliott, although Chris is my favorite. I think Elliott doesn't get the "cute" vote because he's not very handsome. I knew Chris would be fine without my vote so I voted for Elliott. I know what it's like to not be cute!

i agree that all 6 are good and have futures. i have to tell you i got tickled at curtis. this is not like him---but he held the phone and hit redial over and over last night. he really got into it.

my favorite is taylor. i think what i wanted from him last night was for him to highlight his personality more. i liked his performance all right. i just wanted to see more of "taylor" in his song. have ya'll noticed the similarities between taylor and elvis?

hair is different from the norm.
he can't stand still.
eyebrows are similar

am i crazy?

we like chris and elliott, too. out of the 6 my least favorites are paris and katherine. i can't explain why because they are both good singers. i don't dislike them. i just like the others more.

Vickie - love the couch color (and had fun looking at all the custom colors and 'choosing' one to replace our old loveseat - I think it was plum or smokey or something like that!).

And Vickie I will literally CRY with happiness if my yard is livable this summer! To heck with the garden, just give me some decent grass, a patio and a table/chairs/umbrella and I'm happy. I would love to sit out in the yard, under the umbrella on a lovely padded lounger sipping iced tea and reading a good book. (Big ds is screaming for a bbq as he believes he will be out there using is on a daily basis - ya right!).

Saundra - November would be a great time to see Mickey and Minnie - esp as it is still warm enuf and not too crowded - you should be able to get some good rates? See http://www.allearsnet.com/ and http://www.themouseforless.com/ for good info! ...and I used to do the MS walkathon - heck I did all the walkathons - when I was in shape that is!

I ended up going outside for a bit at lunchtime (like from 1:15 to 2 pm). I was feeling very out of sorts (I am wondering about the air circulation in my office). My eyes were burning all morning and I am looking a bit peaked. My back hurt a bit this morning when I got up - and the bad news is after my 20 min walk my back and left hip is really feeling it - almost like my sciatica, but not as bad - just a weak, slightly painful feeling whenever I move. Cannot get comfortable in my office chair as it seems to be getting worse? Wondering if I should stay home tonight and miss the dinner out?

Still have NOT unpacked by the way (Melissa - do not use me as a moving role model!).

Frouf

P.S. Kathy - found this deal for you too: http://cruises.travelzoo.com/panama-cruises/237205 in case you need a holiday later on this year!

Evening chickies,
We finally have a half decent day here today,,it actually snowed on monday,,the day I decided to wear sandals to work..started snowing at 3ish..shhesh. Started our preschool program this week,,whew!! This is such a busy time for us at work.....love the little guys though..they are too cute.
Eating is good this week,,dh has been travellig back and forth to work and coming home on his days off so I have been eating well..I have not been snacking on junk food!! Havnt bought any either...hahahah
Vickie, Im glad Jim is eating a bit more now... and i love that couch! love leather, if I didnt have a cat I would have bought one too. Yes, he scratched teh back of my brand new couch last year...
Saundra, I didnt realize your DS had MS either,,,for living in such a small town here we actually have a high number of people who suffer from it. I think disneyland sounds great! I cant believe you and Frouf seen Elton John,,,,I would love to see him,,Ill have to tell my Dd, maybe she canget tickets for me..haha. Last time I was in Ottawa we saw The Eagles-**** freezes over tour at the Corel Center,,we were in the nosebleed section..but we still loved it!

I have to add my two cents about AI,,,,this is the first year Ive watched from the beginning...
Taylor- love him but last night was painful to watch - prob bottom 3 tonight and if he dosnt he shoud be-- but i still love him

Pickler- I think my dog covered his ears last night on that note..yiyiiyiyi

Paris-- it was ok

Cat- not impressed- not sure what it is about her ,,just dont care for her - bottom 3 for her too

Elliot was good - but no chrisma he seems to stiff on stage

Chris--he shouldnt even be on AI- there was a show last year where the band INXS was looking for a new band leader..he should have been on that show...all rock and roll music...Too funny last night when David Foster had him lay down on the floor to sing..hes my vote for the next AI

Patti, congratulations on your great eating! I do better too when I don't have the munchies around. We are SO addicted to American Idol. I'm trying to get our dinner done so I can shower and be ready to watch. I'm glad you sound so much like your perky self again!

Off to dinner!
